well busy week my youngest daughter had a couple of appointments at r.c.h my pram with toddler seat was a little to wide to get on the tram so i walked all the way from southern cross to r.c.h and back again with her n anton it really isnt as far as i throught. yesterday i went to the dr he has put me on tablets for postnatle depression its the kids dads bday tomorrow. Anton slept in his cot for the 1st time last night for about 7 hours my washing mashine isnt working the way its supposed to had a guy here to have a look he couldnt find what is wrong with it/ it works sometimes he said it may be the switch that locks the door so im thinking i might get him to come chande it and see if it makes a difference
heva dont worry kids will play roll talk walk ect all in their ow time my older 3 wasnt into toys until they where 4-5 months charity and enoch were about 12weeks when they started rolling about 5 months when they crawed charity was 10 months when she walked enoch was 13 months faith was 12 months when she crawed and almost 3 when she walked Anton in the last few days has became intrested in toys and today discovered the mirror
Another busy week for everyone! We've had a phone line down for a couple of days so no internet access :-( thank goodness Telstra finally did something about it...
Jasp - back to tummy rolling is big! Zac did his first tummy to back roll a couple of weeks ago, and then didn't repeat for a week and a half - they definitely do things when they're ready and only when they want to don't they?
Pan - fortunately we don't have any of that early morning wind pain, but I suppose that now I've said that tomorrow morning I will be cursing you for jinxing us ;-)
BekZ - hopefully your week has progressed ok from when you posted on Monday?
Tinsel - re babies sleeping thru the night - my sister in law and baby had their 4 week MCHN yesterday and the MCHN expected that at the most she would be getting up once a night to feed him - a 4 week old!! SIL was a bit worried until I said that most of the mums in my mothers' group plus here online are still getting up at least once a night. I'm sure the MCHNs are trying to help, but man they can make you paranoid if you don't have a baby that does exactly what the 'average baby' is supposed to do!
Sarah - I love it when babies commando crawl! so cute. I think Zac is still a way off that, but who knows. Is your place baby-proof yet? Once they get moving they seem to get into things pretty quickly...
MissE - that sounds frustrating and painful for both of you. We've had the odd day a bit like that, but fortunately Z's still largely a happy little chap. I'm so not looking forward to teething...
ryatha - sounds like DH has some catching up to do once the cast is off - you should be allowed nine weeks with your feet up now!
Jess - you have had a full on week again! I hope you get a chance to relax this weekend and that Anton repeats his good sleep.
AFM - it's been beautiful weather in Melbourne which definitely makes life nicer. Z has been a real hungry little monster this week, but when I put more in his bottle it doesn't stay down, so he seems to need to feed more frequently rather than more quantity iykwim.
He's finally moving into 00s (he's so long and slim) - stupidly I didn't really prepare well for it and have found that we don't have any long sleeve tops or bodysuits in that size, and of course the shops are all stocking summer clothes... because of course we can guarantee that it will be 25+ degrees every day now for the next 6 months Did a mad rush to KMart the other day and found some fairly hideous long sleeve tops in the clearance racks - but if that's all there is he's just going to have to wear them I guess!

cate - have you tried ebay for some clothes? dont know how you feel about 2nd hand clothes, but I've picked up a few things (that look brand new) off there for summer, and a couple of things for cooler weather. stupid shops! They started bringing out their summer stock before winter was even over here!
Tinsel - we have probably had about 10 nights of sleeping through (not consecutive..I wish!). Usually she wakes at about 2 or 3 in the morning for a feed, although lately it has taken a while for her to go back to sleep again. She has started waking up at around 7 in the morning...it used to be at about 8 and I am missing my sleep ins! Although at least we can take the dog for a walk before it gets too hot...we've gone from wintery weather last week to middle of summer weather this week, it's crazy!
Sloane- sounds like you'll be running after corey very soon! can he go from his tummy to his back? Hayley is great at back to tummy but gets stuck and starts whinging after a few minutes because she is stuck on her tummy..will be good when she figures out how to roll onto her back herself!
MamaPan- hope you have fun at the beach! Enjoy your break.
Miss E- I've found lately that Hayley is getting very grumpy by the end of the day. problem is she just won't sleep for longer than 40 mins usually. I can try resettling her either before or after she wakes but as soon as she sees me she is smiling and chatting away! Yesterday I think the heat must have knocked her around a bit, she had her normal short morning sleeps but then two big sleeps in the afternoon, went to bed at 7, woke at 8 but I managed to get her back to sleep without getting her up and she slept until 3 this morning.
Ryatha- hope you are feeling better, and I agree, your DH has a lot to catch up on...his turn for the housework for the next 9 weeks! Lol
Heva- that sounds fairly normal, I wouldn't worry too much. He is interacting with people, to me I think that is more important than interacting with toys iykwim. Hayley was a bit the opposite, up until a few weeks ago she wasn't really happy to just lie there while I talked to her and played with her, she had to be doing something or have a toy in her hand. Now we spend lots of time on the floor together having great conversations (lol) and she is now quite interested in what I'm doing. As the others have said, all babies are different, so I guess as long as you can see that he is developing (even if it may be slower than 'normal') then I wouldn't worry about it. At least people are a cheap form of entertainment!
Jess- hope you are going ok too. Hopefully you can get your washing machine fixed asap! I know my laundry basket starts overflowing if I leave it a couple of days without washing!
Not much new here...hayley is rolling around all over the place and I'm going to have to start keeping a closer eye on her or she just might roll away! I have found a group of mums in Wagga so will go to one of their meets soon. One of the ladies already contacted me, she is the same age as me and has a few other mummy friends around the same age so has invited me to join them as well, which is good but a bit scary...I'm not the best at getting to know new people! It's probably more for Hayley's benefit than mine, but it will be nice to have some IRL people I can hang out with.

Have been thinking a bit more about xmas pressies for DD and I think I'm going to get her one of those Fisher Price Laugh & Learn puppies. Met someone today who has a 15 month old girl and she has one of those puppies, Hayley loved it! Might go down the street tomorrow and see how much they are, I've found a few on ebay but if it's cheaper to get one here then I'll do that. Mentioned to mum that they might like to get her a high chair (or help to fund the purchase of!) for xmas as by then she should be able to sit up in one, or if not then it won't be too far away.
Hello Everyone! We are back on line finally! CAn only get ADSL1 as all the phone lines here are crap! Oh well, at least we have internet again! Have been trying to read all the posts over the past two weeks! Lots of rolling I see!
Miss E - hope Ash is okay? Is he teething? Sam is really enjoying sucking the life out of everything at the moment! He almost had his whole fist in his mouth yesterday!!
SS Storm - glad you have found a group of girls to chat with, it does help talking to other people, good to hear that Hayley is rolling everywhere! It is amazing it is almost that time already that we have to start watching them so much!
Sorry for lack of personals but will be online more now. Sam is really good, slept through again for over a week now from 10pm til 6am but I still wake at 4am expecting him to wake too! He is really grasping at toys now and getting use to his fingers! He has a few favourite toys now and loves looking at himself in the mirror (Might take after his father!!), anyway, I am back at work 2 days a week and his nana is looking after him which is great. Move has gone well and we are starting to settle in, apart from having to buy some new furniture, new dish washer and oven etc etc so now feel totally broke. Loving watching him grow and he is finally in 000, I cant believe all these people in 00!! He is feeding 6 times a day at present and in the afternoon virtually refuses to sleep at all, so normally from about 3pm won't settle until around 7pm when he is totally exhausted. He just won't go down for that afternoon nap but sleeps well in the morning for about 2 1/2 hours. Anyway, that may all change next week! Good to hear everyone is well and hearing everyone's news again!!
