storm - it's difficult, isn't it? it just seems so cliched too. I dunno. I fully appreciate that DH brings home the money, and that he has a hard, stressful job, and that what I do might seem like a bit of walk in the park sometimes, but... And I do NOT want to go down the same path that so many other new parents seem to go down, including some we know personally. harrumph!
AFM - Zac has done a couple of awesome night-time sleeps (I'm terrified that I've jinxed it now), but daytime naps are a real struggle. He gets tired and grizzly, but settling him is difficult more often than not. Today we've had one good sleep, plus one which involved 5-10 mins of yelling before he finally nodded off, and then he woke up crying too. Just waiting to see now if he will self settle into this nap, but it's not sounding promising... I'm a little worried as one ear seems to be a bit more waxy than usual and he has rubbed it a couple of times, although he doesn't seem otherwise worried about it. The little girl next door had an ear infection recently...
hmm. might take him to the Dr tomorrow just in case. Although the in-laws arrive tomorrow too!
hugs all round - I reckon we all need and deserve them right now!
cate - the first aid course was really good. well, we've only done the first of two sessions, but pretty good so far. if you want the details, let me know & i'd be happy to pass them on. the instructor is an ex-ambo & 000 supervisor & specialises in first aid for babies & children. it's only $45 for a 3 hour session.

AF came back almost right on 3 months for me. i have no idea why cos i feed about 9 times a day & am still up 3-4 times overnight then it came almost 28 days later - more regular than it ever was before we changed over to our pram seat as well - so nice to see them sitting up a little, isn't it? it must get so boring for them lying flat!
corey had his 4 mth needles on wed, took them like a little trooper & barely cried. i think i hate them more than him
oops, corey is just waking up from his nap so better be off! hope everyone else is well

I always try to keep up with what everyone's doing but never seem to get the chance to reply.
AFM - Ollie had his 4month health check today. My nickname of "devil baby" was proved! He weighed 6.66kg! He was also 63cm long. Have to go and see the doc about his hips. No one's ever mentioned anything about them before, so I'll be a bit annoyed if they've all missed something.
Having major issues with his sleep. At this point I'd kill for 30-40mins! We're lucky to get 15-20mins during the day. Joy.
G2g, cranky toddler whinging at me. Hope to keep up better!
Good to hear everyone is going well. Fred had her needles last night as well, a few tears but a bb was offered straight away and that cheered her up. Nothing like a good feed
ME - Great to hear about ash, fred did the same thing this morning and she looked so surprised that she was on her tummy! we have her sitting up in her highchair and in the pram and she spends so much time peering around everywhere, it is so cute. She has also just started going for the dogs when they get too close to her, it is very sweet.
LF - hope ollies hips are ok.
Sarah - not fun that AF is back. Mine is still MIA but I would feed about 12-13 times a day... don't know if that makes a difference?
cate - those day sleeps sound awful. Get the ear checked out, I used to have the same problem with lumpy and we found out that she had continuous ear infections and it hurt to lie down poor poppet had it for ages.
Heva - its good to have a chubba bubba, they look so adorable with chub. We have skinny one here, she is only just growing out of her 000's and in 00's. she is tiny compared to her sister at this age. she is slowly getting chubbier thighs and has a cute little pot belly.
Liz - I hope the dermatitis has continued to go away.
AFM - we seemed to have about 3 weeks of frequent feeding which is just now starting to slow down but she is now smiles all the time, laughs and if i say aaahhh to her she repeats it back to me and giggles! I could spend all day doing that with her If I ask her where dada is or sisis she looks for DH and lumpy. and then flaps her arms and legs. DH has nicknamed them the flailing windmills of death, cause with his broken thumb, if they hit it, he is in a lot of pain.
ok off to watch stargate atlantis, im addicted, it so sad... hope everyone else is well
Ryatha - that is so gorgeous!! It is so great with they start responding to things. DH pulls this face and makes a noise at Sam and he starts laughing. I love hearing him laugh, it makes me laugh too!
Lotus Flower - Hope everything is okay with the hips, I too would be very annoyed if they missed something, hopefully everything is fine. Gosh 15-20 mins isn't long at all, I am sure that once Ollie starts doing more active things he will start sleeping more, that's what my mother in law says anyway!
Sloane- glad everything went well with needles, ours are in about 2 weeks!
lovely cate - how did the doc go? Hope there is no ear infection, and way to go on the long night sleeps!
AFM Sam still sleeping from 10pm til 6am which is great, started laughing and did his first roll from stomach to back today! Yay! Got it on video too because he was trying for around 20 minutes and kept getting stuck! He is really loving bath time now too!
I can't believe that we are all up to 4 months! Soon we will all be talking solids!!
Hi everyone,
I dont have much time as Isaac will wake up any minute no doubt. He's had a horrid routine today for some reason, he's sleeping for 15mins, then wake up, play for 10, feed for 10 or 20 then either fall asleep again or get mega grumpy and fussy. Sigh. I'm totally exhausted. I hope he sleeps well tonight and this is just a one off.
Hopefully You guys are well, was intending to have a proper read but alas didn't hapen again

Sloane glad Corey's needles went ok. Reminds me I have to book Arlea's she is due in about 3 weeks....I know what you mean it's all over so quickly for them but regardless, I hate them too

MissE, yay for Ash!! it's amazing how quickly their tummy time improves once they start rolling, Arlea still gets cranky if she's there too long but she can do some very big stretches now on her tummy
ETA - just having a look at the photos on FB, he is gorgeous! aren't they growing too quickly ....
AFM we are all good, I did quite bit of work this week, maybe too much as I finished out the week feeling a bit overwhelmed but have had a very nice relaxing day today.
We snuck Arlea onto the scales at the chemist the other afternoon, she was 6450g YAY so almost exactly 500g in 3 weeks, much better than last time - I knew she was growing !
She is trying to sit up now it's kind of like - ok, I can roll - next trick! of course she's not quite strong enough or well balanced but she strains to sit forward if we have her leaning back in our arms.
I am looking at exersaucer type things on ebay, we had one for DS2 & he LOVED it, so that will be her Christmas present. She loves using her legs too, so I think it is just what she needs atm
