All this talk of jolly jumpers has got me thinking I'll need to borrow one of a friend to see if DS2 likes it.
We survived our shots beautifully yesterday - a great night of sleep from 9pm-5:30am! Woo hoo! I am starting to feel a little more human and a little less teary.
I've had to pack away all the bonds 00 suits with feet in them already. DS2 was 7.2kg at his 4 month needles!
weve got a jumperroo which DS1 lived in! DD liked it but no nearly as much as DS1 and i loved how we could move it from room to room easily! i havent quite set it up for Bubba yet but his not 100% ready yet........
havent had our 4m shots yet not too concerned will get them done but DS1 was over 5m old for his as he was too sick for a while
Had my nephews over today
Started pilates for mums last night at my local physio, biggest kicker is i wish id done while pregnant but ill gain my strength again
enjoyed the break from the kids too
bloom - glad needles went well and you got a good nights sleep. he is a big boy, what were his measurements. we have another boy at mothers group who is 6 months and 10.5kg and 73cm long, he was 10lbs 2oz at birth and 3 weeks early. they induce her coz he was so big, and she didnt even have gd. william was only 7.51kg but 68cm long so he has been in 0 for a few weeks in growsuits, but still able to fit in 00 seperates as he is quite slim and long.
mot - glad you had a good night at pilates, yeh as long as your doing something you will get your strength back. i am in the midst of convincing dh to take ds on walk in afternoon so i can do my yoga/pilates routines.
DS2 was 7.2kg and 69cm long at 4 months. He is one big boy! He was also big when born - 99% for length and 98% for weight. He didn't grow so well for the first 3 months till he was diagnosed with a cows milk allergy. It was a good thing he was so big though, as he dropped from the 98% down to under the 50% for weight and if he'd been born smaller he would have been in trouble. But he's racing back up the percentiles now!
Good on you girls for getting your groove back with pilates etc! Nice work. I am a regular gym goer, but I hadn't done the pilates class yet, it is at a bad time of day for us.
Bloom, you must be so glad to get that allergy sorted! gosh that must have been such a worry for you guys. good to hear hes packing the chubb chubb back on now
Things going well here. DS2 was 6.02kg's at 4mths and 63cms. He's so much littler than his brother. DS1 was 8kgs at his 4mth checkup Little fatty that he was . Anyway, things going pretty well here. Hamish is growing and getting so chatty and happy. Loving this time
Wow Bloom, getting out of 00 already!! Belley was a bit heavier than your DS at the four month check (7.39kgs), but shorter (65cm). She'll still fit in the 00 a little while longer thankfully. Bskilner, I can't believe the 10 pound three week early bub! That mama really can bake a baby!
Good to hear you got the allergy sorted too Bloom, I can only imagine the stress when bubs isn't growing well. And also great that you got a good night's sleep and are feeling better
Nice work with the gym/pilates etc girls!! I haven't bothered joining the gym here, as the cost isn't worth it when I'll be moving too far away to use it soon. But I go for a 4k walk every day - even the slightest hill feels bigger when I'm pushing the pram lol. I got some new shoes the other day, Reebok Easy Tones, and unfortunately my feet are taking a while to get used to them. I have three blisters Also one of the girls in our mothers group is trying to arrange for a PT to give us group sessions, that will either involve the babies in prams or something, or they can at least chill out on a rug together
AFM, I feel like I've been MIA from BB for ages, have been tired and stressed. Annabelle hasn't been sleeping during the day except on me, and I got stressed about doing nothing but sitting on my butt and feeding her. Feeling soooo much better now, and I give all credit to Belley's new hammock lol. She loves it! I'm absolutely kicking myself that I didn't get one earlier.
She's being so adorable right now! She's trying to blow raspberries, she kind of tucks in her bottom lip, does this funny little smile and blows spit out with a little squeak lol. It's the cutest thing
Oh Kaytee, its so cute hey! Sophie does them to. You get a decent shower if your holding her and she finds that just hilarious. We didnt get a weight in this month.
Been reading alittle about the GAPS diet. They suggest cooking bone soup, mixing it with homemade yoghurt and giving it to baby in a bottle from 6 mths- as 1st food. Sounds like a great way to get the iron and goodies into baby.
Wow kaytee - a 4 k walk is impressive! With a pram too. Glad to hear a hammock has helped your little one.
Bone broth and yoghurt does not sound appealing to me at all! I think we'll start with sweet potato and then pumpkin. DS2 is following our food with his eyes and looking pretty keen.
Anyone else's baby still only doing 45 minute sleeps during the day? DS2 will generally have 3-4 45 minute sleeps, he doesn't seem to push past the first sleep cycle, even if I try to resettle him.
Lol I can't imagine eating bone broth and yoghurt either, but I can see how it would be good for a baby. Lots of iron, protein and calcium. And when it's all home made at least you know what's in it.
Hehe DT, thankfully Annabelle hasn't tried a raspberry when I'm holding her yet! She was lying on her mat and doing it, so DH did them back and she was trying to copy him. It was the cutest thing I'd ever seen She's getting so close to rolling too, DH has spent all weekend on the floor with her, helping her over, and I think it's helped her get used to how to get her arm out of the way and get all the way over. At the moment though she gets right on her side and just has a little play there like that lol.
Bloom, Annabelle still doesn't sleep very long. I reckon the longest she'd go is an hour? I keep remembering back to the days when it was just a given that she'd do two 2-3 hour naps a day. Ah the good old days!
pqlal, I'm guessing you're new to the forum and the thread, welcome! What can you tell us about yourself?
Hey girls. Hamish is still only doing 45min-1hr sleeps. Tried to introduce dairy back to my diet but the last few nights have been killers, he's been waking lots with wind so it's back to the lactose free for me Not really loving spoiling my coffee with soy milk, but ah well.
