    HELLLLOOOOOOOO!!!!! in here!

Can't believe it's been a whole month since one of us has popped in here! I guess everyone's been busy, it's called the silly season for a reason lol.

Just thought I'd drop by and say hi to everyone, and I hope all of you and your bubs are doing great!

I have been soooo completely slack! I'm sorry everyone and thanks Kaytee for bumping this!

DS2 is going well - sitting nicely but not yet crawling. He is super big - well into size 0 and grown out of some small size 0's already! Particularly as we cloth nappy. We've had terrible trouble with the food - he LOVES it but has had an allergic reaction to the dozen or so things we tried and it makes him really cranky/in pain with rashes and swelling of his eyes and mucous in poos. So off to the pediatrician on Wednesday to see what to do. He is completely happy on just milk- so hopefully we can keep doing that for another few months.

What is everyone else up to?

I must remember to take DS2 in for his 6 month shots soon!

We're going really well. DS2 is sitting and trying to crawl. It's pretty cute. We moved him into his room last night. Stayed in there till 1am and then I was sick and couldn't be bothered trying to re-settle him so just bought him back to bed with us. Hopefully we'll do slightly better tonight Food is not a huge priority. DS can take it or leave it.

Silly me! Bumped the thread and disappeared lol.

We're doing quite well here. Food is a bit the same as you MM, DD isn't too fussed. She'll eat it, but bm is where it's all at for her. It worries me a little because she won't take it from a cup or bottle and she's due to start child care in early March.

Measured DD for her 7 month b'day on Monday - she's now 8.4kgs, 70cm. Her weight gain seems to be slowing now that she's more active, she's now 75th percentile. She's sooo close to crawling! She gets up, moves her legs like crawling but leaves her hands planted so she doesn't go anywhere lol.

Sleep has been an issue, but I think we're onto something with my diet - removing junk and avoiding preservatives where possible - I'm feeling better and she's sleeping better

    Hope everyone's enjoying their weekend!

Food - DD cracks it if she is not included. Went to a hens day High Tea at Tonya Todman's house today and DD was screaming for food (sooooo good). Absolutely cracked it so she had a savoury muffin and some blueberries. She has been chewing (gumming lol) her food and swallowing, I didn't expect it to happen so quickly. She ate some lasange the other night, and again, kept screaming for more of it... Very demanding child hehe
We were having troubles getting her down to sleep at night, so have moved her bedtime back to 9pm. We were trying earlier but it was resulting in her screaming for hours and stressing both of us out. She only just went down for the night 10 minutes ago as today was so fullon. I couldn't get her to sleep as she kept tipping herself upside down and laughing. DP came in and had her asleep within a minute!
I'm working tomorrow... eep. Freaking out a bit, but should only be 3 or 4 hours to help my mum out.
DD was weighed and measured almost two weeks ago - 6.1 kg and 64cm. She is still in 000's - I love it, she lasts so long in each size of clothes!

Bloom - sorry to hear about your ds having reactions to food, hope they sort it all out soon.

Harriet - william is the same, growls for more food, heaven forbid if he sees you eating a bone. lol. William is also a late settler, 9pm usually. But still on 3-4 naps a day.

Kaytee - I have returned to work and william has been really good at taking a bottle of ebm from his dad. not so good if i am around lol.

afm - william is sitting unassisted, and is attempting to crawl by going on all fours and rocking til his knees shimmy him across the floor lol. He is also walking holding onto our hands. He has got 2 teeth now and has taken well to food. Growls if you dont give it to him quick enough.

He is growing well, 74cm tall at 7months and just under 9kg. Starting to grow out of 0 wondersuits but still in either 00 or 0 seperates, depending on the size. He is on 3 meals a day and still 5-8 breastfeeds a day. was eating every 3 hours over xmas then surprised us with a 3cm growth spurt in a month.

As mentioned I have started back at work, but only 1 day a week. And my dh stays home with him. Has been alright so far, have missed him heaps. But it is so exciting seeing him when i get home, and he smiles at me and cracks it if i go to get changed lol.

Wow Bskilner, William is tall! Sounds like he's doing really well while you're at work, must be nice to have some Daddy/Son time. So cute that he gets excited when you get home

Bloom, hope your paed appointment goes well. Must be so tough when your little one has a reaction and you don't know what caused it

Harriet, hope work went ok today! I get your nervousness completely, but I'm sure it was all fine.

AFM, I've gotta send off Annabelle's childcare enrolment form very soon Found out today my start date is March 13th which is great, a week later than I'd thought. I've still been stressing about it so much though, she does eat solids but as we're doing BLW she's not yet at the stage of chewing and swallowing a lot of food yet so I didn't know how she'd go there. Not to mention refusing milk from anything but me (even when I'm not around). But, we've been giving her a straw cup with water in it at dinner, and tonight she got it! Sucked on the straw and got some (she's done this before), looked at the cup, and went back for more! Usually she just gets confused and plays with the cup lol. So tomorrow night ebm is going in it and hopefully we'll have some success there.

She's so close to crawling! She does the legs but not the arms, and she's taken one arm 'step' but not with the legs lol. Hopefully she'll get them both going at the same time soon. Bskilner, she's a bit like William, she loves to walk when we're holding her hands, I reckon she'd skip crawling altogether if I let her walk everywhere lol.

Heading back to Mother's Group tomorrow, haven't been in ages! We did a family picnic after Christmas, but it's just been too stinking hot here to actually go out, and with so many people in one room it gets stuffy.

    Hope everyone's doing well!

William was the same. Wouldn't take a bottle, which made me start stressing with going back to work. Then we got him a sippy cup, which he liked playing with at first then started drinking out of it. Noticed after a while he was getting the hang of sucking action, so decided to try him on a bottle again and we had success. I hope it ends up going the same for you.

Yes he is tall, like his dad. Good luck with mothers group tomorrow.
