After DS1 I had a bleed around 6 weeks, a couple of weeks after any other bleeding, and the dr thought it might be my period. I didn't get another one for over a year though. Maybe you will be the same?
Enjoy mother's group. I might have to join one this time round, my mum's exercise group is all over now as the PT who ran it is moving away. I am very sad. No more social exercise classes... I may never get that 6 pack back after all.
i have never had a 6pack, so doubt i will get one anytime soon, but would like to put the muscle i lost whilst pregnant and unable to do much due to the pelvic pain, need to tone up my butt lol.
It's been so quiet in here... Most of my Belly Buddies are in May 1-15th group but i'd feel weird jumping in there when Amelie is almost a month younger than most babies there.
We are going good. Milly had her 4-5 week check up last week and was 4.2kg and 56cm. They found she has an umbilical granuloma, which is a bit of raw tissue in her belly button that needs to be treated. It's not causing any real problems but it's a real pain to keep having to go back to the doctors every few days for a few weeks.
Sleeping and feeding is going well. She usually goes down at 8pm for the night and wakes at about 1, 5 and 9 for feeds. Give or take an hour or so. She is having one bottle of formula per day as I'm finding towards the evening my supply isn't satisfying her, so we now give her a bottle before "bed". It's working really well. She is satisfied all her other feeds though, so that's great.
kaydee glad to hear amelie is growing well. sorry to hear about the granuloma, hope it fixes itself soon so you dont have to run around too much more. glad to hear that you have sleeping and eating down to an art, will definately be helping her to feel good during the day.
well turns out im bleeding again because i have a bit of membrane still left behind, so my body is trying to get rid of it. but its nothing to worry about as long as i dont show signs of infection or heavy bleeding. but it is settling again...
i also think i might have thrush in my nipples, as i have started having a throbbing pain in the deeper breast tissue, which makes my breasts feel like when the milk first came in, it feels like its gone hard but it hasnt. and have started having pain in both when feeding. so i have started putting drops into william and smearing some on my nipples. lets hope thats what it is and that after it clears up bf is going to be much easier.
Oh goodness, i hope it all clears up for you with no problems. How did they find out about the bleeding, did you have an ultrasound?
I have my check-up next week. So I hope everything is good.
Had the midwife here for the last time yesterday. Milly is 4360g. Her granuloma is shrinking, so that's great.
DH is back from China today, he was gone for 2 weeks. I was so nervous about being alone with the two kids, but I think It was so great for my confidence. It wasn't so bad. I had a million appointments to go to, so that kept me busy. It was just a PITA to have to cook for only 2 people, one being a picky 5 year old.
Milly is growing out of her size 56 (0000?) clothes so fast and now wears mostly 62 (000?). It's kinda sad putting all her small clothes in the "too small" box, but then I just think that she can keep all of the pretty stuff for her dolls

i had bleeding, and went to gp, who wrote me up for a pelvic ultrasound. and thats where they saw it. william didnt fit into 0000 for very long, he has been in 000 for about 3-4 weeks. wont be long before they go into the too small bags. he is so long and has such long arms and legs is the problem. coz his belly is skinny and the clothes are loose around the centre lol.
im glad that you did alright without your dh and that you feel you actually grew from it. and glad that hes home, because you gotta miss a bit of adult company too. also happy that the granuloma is shrinking.
i too have my 6 week appointment next week, will be exciting to see how big william has gotten too. not long now and they will be having their immunizations, poor little guys.
Vaccinations on Thursday for Alice. Try not to worry too much about them, neither of my boys were fazed at all by the needles. If Alice cries, then she cries... it isn't the end of the world.
BSK, glad that you have worked out what the bleeding is. Sounds scary, but good that it will clear up on its own.
Alice moved into 000 at about 5 weeks. She is already a bit big for the smallest 000 stuff, but some other things are much too big... I wish sizes were more consistent. I think we are about to have another big growth spurt because she is only pooing every 48 hours again, like she did around 5 weeks old. Oh, and she is feeding all the time again. Nights have been a bit better though, we have had a few 4 hour sleeps and fairly consistent 2-3 hour ones after that. I can't believe I am saying that is an improvement it is soooo much worse than either of the boys ever were.
Kaydee, good to hear you survived without DH. I find bedtimes are easier with a helper but otherwise I manage OK when DH has to go away for a night or 2, but he hasn't been away for 2 weeks straight. Well done! Hope your appointments go well.
AFM, DH is going skiing next week so the kids and I are flying up to Cairns to visit the grandparents. It will be just me and my 3 children on a plane for 2 and a bit hours. Eeek! It will be great for the GPs to spend a couple of weeks with the kids, and Alice has changed so much already. The weather is great up there at this time of year too! We will actually be able to swim. Alice has a little 00 swim suit which fits fine now, it is really cute. I am hoping she likes the water as much as her brothers.
I finally got a referral to a neurologist for my bell's palsy and I saw him on Friday. I have to get an MRI on Wednesday to check there isn't anything pressing on my cranial nerves which would explain why it hasn't gotten better. I am a bit nervous.
I am also going back to the ob to get a mirena. I am terrible at remembering to take pills so it seems like the best option ATM. I also like that it isn't permanent... I think 3 kids is probably enough, but I am not quite sure yet.
berrme - im not worried about the needles, a little bit of pain for a lot of peace of mind. im used to needles anyway as a nurse.
yeh wish sizes were more consistent, he is out of bonds 000 but still fitting into other brands.
i am pretty happy if i get sleep between feeds, dont really care if he wakes up 3 hourly for feeds as long as i can sleep between without him crying. though other people seem to be a lot luckier with long sleeps overnight, and they think that im doing it tough, but im fine with it. was waking up 2 hourly when pg so its an improvement lol.
good luck with the flight, will be good for the kids to see their gps. good luck with the mri as well, if there is something hope it is easily fixed and you are doing better soon.
afm william has 6week appt so will c how big he has gotten. he was pretty good last night, not so much crying. and slept whilst we had dinner.
I have a very hungry monster for a baby. Put on 510g in two weeks. His stats now are weight: 5.86kg, height: 59cm, head circumference: 40.8cm. He is definately getting enough to eat.
much better night last night. he slept after 11pm but no screaming before so i was happy.
had drs appt yest for 6 weeks, and i still have the membrane there so he has started me on antibiotics, and another appt next week. if it hasnt cleared up by then he will do a d&c on the day. and william got to see one of the midwives who delivered him, and he was smiling for her too cute. and she said its normal for babies to cry when the sun goes down, and that it often isnt even wind pain, that sometimes babies just cry for no reason. and that it normally passes somewhere between 6-10weeks. so i just have to try and remain calm and not take it to heart. apparently she said that babies average 4hours of crying a day.
i fed him at 5.20pm, and carried him around in carrier afterwards. started dinner and did odd things around the house. dh ate his dinner and i fed william at 7.20pm, and then i handed him over to dh to hold afterwards. i had my dinner and a shower, and he slept for a long time. then he had a shower with dh. and a massage afterwards. then fed at 9.50pm until 10.45pm. then he slept until 3.15am. so am very happy with how last night went. dont care if i have to hold him as long as he doesnt scream.
and william has gone back to 2-2.5hr feeding during day, must be growing again.
not much going on in here but thought i would let you know william is due for his immunisations and weigh in tomorrow. will see how big hes gotten and hope that he handles the needles well.

We are going good. Milly has a bit of a cold that she caught from DS, but it doesn't seem to really bother her.
DS is on Summer holidays for a few weeks, so he is home with me. I do some freelance translating for the company that DH works for and have recently taken on a new project - which I am now regretting. One week to get a large document done. Silly me. Let's see how I go with that and 2 kiddies at home.
William had his immunisations today, cried and then i put him on boob for feed and he calmed down. think he has sore legs though, as he cried whilst he was getting weighed at his appt. he has grown a lot in two weeks. stats are 6.35kg, 61cm tall, head circ 41.5cm. he is still in the 90th percentile. he is growing well and even lifted his upper body up on his elbows when on his tummy, my strong little man, had to show off the m&chn. but now he is sleeping, so hope he handles the immunisations well and doesnt have any adverse reactions.

It has been ages since I have been on here! How is everyone going? Things are great here. Chase will be 14 weeks on Friday and I finally have a happy little baby (colic and reflux for first 6 weeks- all sorted now apart from the constant vomiting!). He is growing very slowly. He is only in the 5-10th percentile but doctors arent worried as he is still following the same curve from birth. He is getting longer (60cm 2 weeks ago- up 12 cms from birth) but is only just over 5 kgs now. We finally seem to be in a bit of a routine. He only has 3 45 min sleeps during the day. Is this normal?? Have tried so many things to get him to sleep longer but nothing seems to work. He is only waking once at night around 12pm and then awake anywhere from 5:30-7am. Atm he wants to feed every 2-3 hrs during the day which I dont mind as he is so small. He is finally starting to fit into some 000!!! He has started rolling from tummy onto his back now and is finally starting to like tummy time but only when he has his nappy off. Think I have a little nudist on my hands as he screams every time I put clothes back on him! DH is away for work atm. Has been gone for 2 weeks nearly but will be home at the end of this week, Cant wait! Was very nervous but bubs and I have coped really well.
bskilner- hope William recovered from his immunisations! Chase has his next lot in 2 weeks and Im dreading them already. Making DH come with me this time!
Kaydee- Hope Milly recovered from her cold. So many bugs going round atm. Hope u got your work finished and enjoyed having your DS home with you
Hi Emze82, I had given up on this thread and was just coming on today to join the early May group as they seem to be the chatty bunch.
Good to hear that you got the reflux under control. Vomitting is messy but tolerable, as long as they aren't screaming every time they vomit!
3 45 minute sleeps sounds OK to me. My kids never did the textbook thing when it came to day sleeps. Alice only has 2 decent sleeps during the day. She is also crap at night but is getting better. The past couple of nights we have had a 5 hour sleep to start the night, then another 3 hours. Before this we were lucky to get 3 hours between feeds at any time of day or night. She really likes to feed!!
Alice has her shots again in about 3 weeks. She was no problem after the last ones though, so I am not worried. I measured her the other day and she is around the 90th percentile for height and weight now... 62cm long and about 6.5 kg. I have packed away all but the biggest 000 clothes now as she fits mostly 00. I wasn't expecting her to be in 00 quite so soon so I bought mostly summery stuff in 00 and 0. It isn't quite warm enough yet so she has been wearing lots of white, yellow and green wondersuits that were her brothers', as well as a few blue suits. I can't be bothered having to tell strangers she is a girl and not a boy so the blue stuff gets relegated to home only wear. lol.
No rolling here yet, but Alice gets minimal tummy time. I would love to let her have more but everytime she is on her rug on the floor one or both of her brothers decides they need to lie down too, or help her roll etc.
It does seem really quiet in here! I jinxed myself this morning (but in a good way) Chase slept for nearly 2 hours and has gone down for his 2nd sleep and that is over an hr now!
WOW Alice is growing really well isn't she! I havent bought any summer stuff yet in case he has a growth spurt in the next few weeks (fingers crossed!).
I can imagine it would be difficult with the boys wanting to 'help' her all the time when she is on the floor, lol.
