Hi Geeky, I am so sorry to hear how tough it has been for you all. It is heartbreaking when they are obviously unsettled and it feels like there is nothing you can do. Infacol fron the chemist and coles is good once bubs are one month old before every feed can help with wind (it has an active ingredient which helps bind air bubbles together to help bring up after a feed), and time of course. If bubs is regularly in pain and awake for hours each day, please go and see a doctor as it could easily be reflux which is causing pain, or as you have already Thought about, be An intolerance to something you are eating.
With this in mind, something i have found helpful is to use my phone/iPad/computer or little exercise book to keep track of when bubs feeds-when she's awake/crying etc. I know this may be impossible as it's another thing you have to do, but it's a good way to see of there is a pattern and also help you keep track of how long this is lasting for as days can seem like an eternity when you are so exhausted.
Sometimes of course it's just a matter of time, but doing something practical to help you get through this very challenging time I found helpful.
Regardless of any of the above, I am really sorry it's been so rough and hope that you all get some peaceful rest very soon and am here to support you
