Little O - I have a baby bjorn, ergo and a sleepy wrap. I actually like the bjorn the best, but agree, with the one I have the weight is carried through the back and shoulders. I am a sturdy build so it doesn't worry me until bubs gets quite heavy. I find it easy to use and quick to get on and off. It is only for front wearing though. I have the ergo with the baby insert, and it just doesn't work well for me. I don't find the insert easy to use and I have always struggled to be comfortable in the ergo, maybe my long sturdy torso?, but found it ok with DD1. I also like my sleepy wrap - just a big length of stretchy fabic that I tie up. Perhaps some of my difficulties arise at the moment due to the time I am trying to wear DD2? She usually wants a feed, and the ergo with the baby insert and the sleepy wrap are hard to get DD2 out of quickly. I want to try a ring sling to see what they are like.
Things are ok here. DD2 had her vaccinations last week at 6 weeks and went pretty well. A touch unsettled and sleepy at the same time. DD1 has a cold, and I feel like I do. Coinciding with the cold is DH's return to full time work and DD1 throwing some mega tanties. Mega. It's like she's possessed. It's a little crazy actually. But last night after first trying to just force her into her nappy ( epic fail) I just said I was going to have a big cuddle and held her. Tanty over in less than 5 mins. I was proud of the way I reacted as I normally don't react that well to open defiance/tanty. So not too bad really. Better go, I am being summoned, at least only by 1. Oh a bit of breast milk jaundice here. Heel ***** test for DD2 was not fun, but a cuddle and mummas milk helped.
Sunshine - hope you're all on the mend.
Thinking of everyone even though I am not in here much.
