b, like ReeRee said, I'm pretty sure the avatars addy is playing up - I forwarded the email I sent to it, to sarah's email (can't remember it sorry) as I'd read her requesting others to do that for changes - maybe check on the mod's contact list? It did take a couple of weeks though as I think she's pretty swamped

All good at this end, although a dear friend of mine had her little boy at 27wks on Sunday, he's doing as well as he can, is putting up a real fight in special care, and I just can't stop thinking about them. Makes me realise how blessed I am for what I have and the smooth road it was for us. Speaking of prems, has anyone ever heard any more from zstar? I wonder how her little one is?
On a positive note, I bought an Ellaroo sling and we had our first grocery shop with it yesterday - DD crashed out within 5 mins of being in it - and I got a decent sized shop done hands free - it was great! Not sure how I'd go wearing it for much longer as my back got a little achey, but it was just so good to not have the capsule or pram to lug around. I'm already impatient and can't wait til she can just walk alongside me ha ha
Congrats to all the weightloss ladies. I only put on 7.5 kg the whole preg and 4 of that was baby, so im actually 2 kilos lighter now than before i got pregnant!! Lucky! Im starting to put it back on though because ive been eating junk and not exercising much, and because of my jelly belly, it looks worse than what it is. So as of today im back on the diet i started when we were trying for our ivf and i lost 6 ks. If anyone is interested, there is a great website called Aussie Bodies and it has a PCF calculator (proteins, carbs and fats) which is really easy to use and helped me realise how much i was eating in a day. The menu planner is good to keep track of just how much your eating and is really easy to use, if you wanna look, heres the address - PCF Calculator - Aussie Bodies. HTH Im about to walk to the shops with the pram and figured i will start making it a daily thing, that way i get some exercise and we can have fresh fruit and veg everyday, plus my gym membership which is still being payed though i havent gone since we started our IVF in may last year (OMG!) so i will be going back a few nights a week and DH can look after bubs, tho, he would really benefit from the gym too.
AFM- Have had very little sleep in the last week as not only have i had the usual feeds but DH had a cold and so his snoring sounds like a jackhammer, have taken turns sleeping in the spare room but takes forever to get back to sleep. The upside is ive been able to co-sleep with Adrian heaps as i hadnt trusted sleeping with him with DH in the bed as he is a really heavy sleeper. Going to get some of that throat spray stuff for DH to see if it quietens him down. Fingers Crossed.
Hope all the other ladies are having lots of cuddles and smiles with their bubs.
jelly - i hear u on the snoring!! DH can snore quite loudly sometimes yet he denies that he even snores! lol. when i was pg he did end up going down to the spare room a few times coz my snoring kept him awake.
b - thanks for answering my question on solids! we use MCN's here full time and they are soooo easy! i love using them. i always have comments from people about them. i find that i really am not washing that much more then before. so easy not to worry bout having to run out and get disposable nappies all the time! saving money which is great too.
afm, we tried baby rice cereal last night. i mixed a bit of formula into it and gave it to Hamish. he had a few mouthfuls before he started to cry. i dont think he was too keen on the taste of it. going to put a tiny amount of apple puree into it tonight then see how he goes. hopefully that makes it taste much nicer. the dog really enjoyed the leftovers tho! lol.
we saw the paediatrician today. she was really happy with his progress. he now weighs 6.1kg the little porker! he still needs to have his pentavite and iron but she said that once he is fully established on solids then we can stop them. she is thinking around 6 months of age. she also wants to see him in 6 months time just to make sure he is fine but she thinks there will be no issues at all. he is doing so well tho. i am so happy! makes me feel good to hear things like that.
on another topic, DH left for darwin today. he is there for 2 weeks so its just me, hamish and the dog. going to take hamish for a walk in the pram later with the dog to see how i go. i tried it the other day and it wasnt too bad. just have to keep reminding honey not to pull on the lead otherwise its too hard to handle her and the pram! besides i really need to lose a few kilos. i am 2.5kg over my pre pregnancy weight now (was almost back to the pre pg weight but ate too much junk food) so i really want to lose that and a bit more. we have a treadmill so will also give that a go later on.
Thanks ~b~ - I thought I was just sounding like a mean mumma! I know they are kids and I don't want to take their fun away, but we live in one of the "greenest" areas in Perth, in that there are multiple parks on every street. There are 3 that are within 3 mins walking distance, so I don't understand why they don't go there. It's not like they have much room in their yard to play either - I guess that's why they are using the fence. What makes it a bit worse is that they have only been in the place for about 2 months. The previous couple sold up and they new owners are renting it out. I guess I could always get in touch with the Real Estate company but it would be pretty obvious who had made the complaint, as they are bound to hear Fraser crying sometimes. I'm just a bit scared to go round as they seem a bit bogan-ish and DH said the hubby is a big burly fella!
mia - i hope u get sorted out with your neighbours.
well i am currently waiting for my arrival of my purchase from BBH. i was hoping for it to be here by today but i guess it wont come now till next week we have a shop here in adelaide that sells all different kinds of MCN's. they have these cute pocket nappies with monkey faces or dog faces etc on them for $20 on special. i really want to go and get one so that i can trial it as a night nappy but DH wants to keep to just one brand and got irritated on the phone last night. so i guess i will just have to wait for BBH to get night nappies back in stock!
my dog is currently outside digging a massive hole! having trouble with her at the moment. everytime i sit down in the rocker to either rock hamish to sleep or feed him a bottle, she thinks its time to hump my legs! lol i think its a dominence thing. always happens in his room with me holding him. lol
