GO BLUES!!
Hi ladies hope uour all going well.
Kitty, yay for a great anniversary! We cant remember the months of ours, i know its 7yrs either june or oct, nfi!
Aghh i cant remember what i was going to post!
I finaly feel like im on top and actualy being a mum, only taken bub #4 & almost 6 yrs! Lol. Ive got a slow cooker so dinner idnt rushed or stressed, and tommorow is my first full day just the girls, ds2 is going to daycare, feel wierd putting hom in when i dont work or anything, but i need time out he is driving me mental!!
Not sure why i set the cot up for A, i cant bring myself to put her in it at night.
Finaly went the doc, she is sending me to monash to sort out contracepiton, she put on the referal a strong recomendation to have my tubes done. Only cant get a sttaight answer fron df to discuss it.
Booooo Sarah and kylz!!!!!!
GO QUEENSLAND!!!!!!!!
Aw YEAH!!! QLD!!! Just keeping you blues on your toes....... You never know!!
Sarah,: For me, only one but had no problem removing my tubes. Why can't they just tie them? If that is what you want? Not totally sure if you do?
Kitty: Yaaaa Chase! xx
Aww kitty so glad your DH did something nice for your anniversary :) bummer about your movie though.
Sarah - enjoy your bit of a break with childcare. Don't feel weird we all need a break and staying at home with the kids is sometimes more exhausting than working. I think going to work is easier!
Scone - hope you all get better soon.
Kitty - shame about the movie but your dinner sounded divine.
mmm...poo stains in my DS clothes that won't come out :( maybe soaking will help. We had a nappy leak yesterday.
Lisa, pop the clothes in the sun, if we get some today! It will bleach the poo stain away - it's pretty amazing :)

Haha my DS shoots poo out the side of a few of his mcn's. His clothes have all come out fine with a bit of sunning :)
seems there are a few of us doing the 4am shift :)
Sammie - sun in Melbourne today would be nice!!! Hope those QLDers send some down for us!!
Jaki - which MCNs have you had the poo leaks with? I was loving the Itti Bitti D'lish because it is so trim and contains wee but this is the first poo we've had in it. I was thinking of buying a few more of that type but now I'm not so sure.
Oh and Jak and Kylz.. Hate is a strong word so probably should of rephrased that.. Strongly dislike!!
It is way too wide for my liking. Always having to back up or go around.. Or leave pram so I can have a look at something.. The bottom getting bags in and out sucks when you have a babe in your arms. I thought it could hold so much more! It is very deceiving. Hate that it does not lie flat for when K is having a sleep.. Oh and it is a pain in the ass as I would prefer light. I do not shop much at all but when I do would like to get in and out oh and the last one, it has ****ty shock. When I walk outdoors *sidewalk ect... it is crappy.
It just does not suit my lifestyle or what I want in a stroller but must say it served its purpose with the capsule and taking it out at bbqs ect...That was worth every iota! So probably sell it in a few months. I never did plan to have it longer then a year anyways. : )
Lisa: I am a huge D'lish fan too. Ever since I moved up to medium I have had not one leak. I love our itti bitty!
Tams get a baby jogger city select it is awesome! Super lightweight, fits through any checkout and huuuge basket room. Bit annoying when the toddler seat is on there but that wouldn't bother you lol.
Sarah good luck to your ds today! Enjoy your day with just the girls :)
Lisa my dd has had a few huge poosplosions and the stains have sunned out. Funnily enough only in sposies, never had one in cloth!
Yep he poops out of the d'lish, his small is on the last snaps. He has pooped out of the medium too but tbh I think it's more the fact that it's breastmilk poop. We also have issues with a monk n bear and a petite peony.
I just love bonnibuns, can't get enough of them! I have about 10!
Fair enough tams... I totally get all that but it works for us so yay! Or hubby would kill me lol. I can do my whole grocery shop in the basket! Lol.
It is very wide but where I live thats a bonus cause it's every A*hole for themselves since the floods so the strider barging power comes in handy!!! Getting my payback for all the times I was trolly barged when I was preggo!
OMG Lou Wyatt won't poo in a sposie! He poops in every single cloth nappy!
Haha jak c doesn't really either, but lately she poos in every nappy!! Bf poos are gross lol, we had one the other day that filled her socks ewwww.
Umm I had one that filled... Singlet, suit, overalls, sock, shoes AND of course his beautiful PP nappy!
Lovely surprise while we are out :D
Ellasmummy: So many people have mentioned that one. Going to have a look at that one soon.
Jak: Forgot the best part!! The shoving people aside. I can not believe how rude some people are and the strider is awesome for getting people to move!
I love huggies they are fab i did the cloth with my 1st son lasted 3 months and couldnt stand his skin always felt damp when i took the nappy off and he got rashes so just went to huggies and with me going back to work i dont have time to wash cloth with 3 teenagers a hubby and all the washing and housework i already do it is never ending and to be honest (dont want to affend cloth nappy mums) i hate the big bum look on babies i dont know why i just do.
I have seen the new cloth nappies and some of them are cute just not for me.
The last few nights ella has gone to bed at 7 and slept to 3am has a feed and back to sleep until 7am i think we finally have a night routine that suits us.
Wrote this three times!! Ferrals, Yaaa to a routine your happy with. : )
K is in cloth only because I do want to pay 4x what I know those diapers are worth.
I hate being ripped off, plus I am home. I still have sposies from the US left still... so use them every now and then..
Speaking of which I need to do a shop in the US soon. I need a highchair and some toys. I think I have spent about $80 all up since K has been born. So doing quite well. Oh... besides cloth, spent $300 on that. But that should be it until he moves into a large.
Kitty: Guess what, just got my refund from b and g. : )
tams: it only took forever to get it. They have the worst customer service there.
ferrals: im not too keen on the big butt cloth nappy for boys either but it makes him very sturdy to hang onto lol Thats a great routine, I wish C would go to bed earlier, his usual sleep time is around 10pm, and he sleeps till either 5am or 6 am but its the staying up with him till 10pm thats the killer. Last night though he was in bed at 7.30pm and he woke up this morning at 4am, I was pretty happy with that.
I'm mostly using cloth to try and save money on disposable nappies, thats why I use cloth during the day and disposable at night, only use 2-3 disposables at night so the packs last for a while. sorry no more persies my house is like a freeaking freezer I have to go warm up in bed with Chase.
I get my huggies wholesale from a friend who works in a chemist i get a 48pkt of infant for $13 where they are usually $19-$22 and if i see the big boxes go on sale like the newborn's did when i was pregnant they are normally $35-$38 i got 3 boxes at $29 dollars each so i dont pay full price and i stick to huggies cause they seem to last longer Ella gets changed at 6pm with her bath and then when she wakes at 3am so only once a night.
I tried the other brands with my boys but was never happy with them they leaked or bunched up in the crutch area.
Kitty-7:30 to 4am is great i like my evening baby free to spend time with hubby and have some loving before he goes to bed cause he has to get up at 6am for work so having Ella in bed then is starting on a routine that most toddlers have i am just hoping she will drop the 3am feed before i start back at work on the 1st of August but at the moment i actually enjoy the 3am feeding i never had it with my boys so i love the mummy daughter snuggles.
I love my new house we have natural gas:D so the house is toasty warm.
I have also discovered a thing Ella loves and helps her put her self off to sleep she loves her muslin wrap as a cuddle blanky when she is tired we put it beside her face/cheek and she grabs it and snuggles into it then strarts to close her eyes so the last few days i have put her to bed with it between her hands and next to her face and she does the same thing grabs it and snuggles into it then goes to sleep it is so cute my boys loved their pillows and carried them everywhere i think Ella will have a comfort blanky.
Kitty: I know crazy hey? But at least I have it.
Ferrals: I think little K must be a heavy wetter, if he goes into a huggies at night, after a bath 5ish... He will last the night but his skin is damp, where if I put him in a bambooty, his skin is dry... That is at 6:30 am. Fantastic you can get them cheap. See, you guys would not know any different but I know as I had Zo in Canada so it ****s me, how dear they are.
Different nappy too. I paid $20 for 240 of the size ones. : )
Tams:o wow was that is cheap was that a good brand or cheaper ones.
I took Ella out to visit some work mates and passed her around for cuddles and she just fell asleep in their arms she was really content on strangers holding her that surprised me.
Yep, that is brand name but that is because it is in bulk. I personally like pampers but they are the same as huggies here. Top two brands. : )
Everyone thinks I love shopping because I buy in bulk but it is just the only way I know how to shop. Bring on Costco. : )
Ferrals - very cute. I'm going back to work at the end of August...well I'm supposed to be. We need the money but I feel mixed about it. Do you have to look into childcare?
Kitty - we do the same, cloth during the day and disposables at night. Sometimes I think it would be just as easy to do cloth during the night as well.
LMP - which site do you shop from in the US. I bought some bumgenius nappies in the US when I was pregnant. They were heaps cheaper and was worth it if doing in bulk because there was a shipping fee of about $50.
Jaki - I will look into the bonnibuns. I prefer the sized nappies to reduce the bulk so not sure if these ones are.
Ellasmummy - I have the city mini and absolutely love it. I think it is the model down from the select. It steers really easy and super easy to fold up!!
Lisa, bonnibuns are osfm but are not bulky and don't have snaps down the front. Just along the top. Her workhorse nappies are great but I especially love the softer material ones, we are waiting on a hawthorn custom from her.. Can't wait!
2 days no shield!!! Whoot whoot! Keep it up wee man.
I'll give ya the post tho my nipples flippen hurt!
Yay Jaki and Wee man, that's awesome, well done for persevering for so long
I am trying so hard to ignore the nappy discussions, I read the chatter thread but don't contribute as last time around I ended up buying far too much!!!
I do however need some trim nappies and am stalking the FB page for some second hand ones
I do love my china cheapies thou, they are my night nappy at the moment (different stuffing)
Seeing CMHN for A this morning... She and MJ both have colds again :( one tired Mumma today as both slept poorly last night :(

Lisa-Hopefully not if DH sticks to mon-fri day work i do nights during the week and sunday i am hopeing to go back to my three 10 hour days so i dont have to work as many days that way if i do tue/wed night and sunday i bring home after tax $480 and that is all we need on top of DH wage and it is the same as the paid parental leave i am getting now i just have to wait on hubby as he only just started this job and it's casual permanent.
Sammie china cheapies are the best at night! With issy bear inserts :D
AF is back :( 9 weeks to the day, so ripped off as Miss A is exclusively BF and still over night... Thought I might go a bit longer as she is still waking over night whereas MJ was sleeping through at 6 weeks!
Boo :(

Sammie-My AF turned up today aswell 10 weeks after birth but only 3 weeks after bleeding stopped.
Had a major shopping day brought Ella a whole bunch of beautiful 00 winter outfits and two piece sets some tracky pants with feet in them and the cutest long sleeve tops to go with them they are so girly and pretty they are to big for her just yet but 000 tops are getting to tight so i did the sneaky thing and changed the two piece sets to 000 for the pants and 00 for the tops that way she can wear them now as her belly is the only reason her 000 are tight the length is perfect.
And what a great sleep she had last night from 8pm to 4am just 2 more hours and that would be perfect.
Enjoy your weekend it is wet and miserable here.
Hi everyone :)
AF finally nicked off on wednesday yay! lol
We've found out that Elise's tummy can't handle whey dominant formula's, ends up with her constantly power projectile chucking... super chunky chucks too, poor thing. She chucks up before, during and after very feed now, its gotten that bad. She's had really bad tummy pains too, and her back muscles are so tight she's become really sensitive to touch.
Just changed her to lactogen formula and it's made a HUGE difference, instead of crying all the time from tummy pain she's sleeping well and more comfortable when she's awake
She's loving her floor time too, always smiling up at the TV or at her toys.
Other than she's all good, very happy and miss smiley all the time.
On day 5 of the diet, so far so good, though I'm always hungry. At least I'm eating more and eating better now than I was before lol no more yummy home made super thick and super sweet custard for me anymore.
My mum is finally down from QLD at the moment, learning a lot of things from her that I never knew before, like the fact that Elise is just like I was as a baby in the way she starts to snuffle just before crying when she's hungry and the looks she gives up. Elise loves her grandma, and DS is over the moon to have someone else around to pay attention to him lol. She goes back on saturday, which will be sad, but hopefully she'll come down again before the end of the year.
Hubby will hopefully be picking up his new motorbike on either thursday or friday too, which will be great. A lot less stress for all of us and I'll get to spend the entire day with my mum, hopefully lol
Forgotten what else i was going to say now lol
Hope you all have a wonderful sunday :)
Did anyone watch the baby food debate on the today show this morning i only caught the tail end of it and they mentioned research suggests starting babies on solids earlier than they have previously recommended i missed the rest can anyone fill me in.
Ferrals they had it on sunrise yesterday and they said that the WHO have said 4 months now for the purpose of weeding out allergies
I just watched that. Funny how Mel * my mate who has a baby in weekly for apt with nutritionist and paediatrician at Mater told me that a few weeks ago who changed it and searched everywhere on the site and could not find it then... Still cannot find it.
They did say that overall bubs will tell us when they are ready. I think I will go off that.
Lisa, I was just buying nappies from Walmart when they were on sale but I usually got them from stores in Canada when I lived there. Online has added expenses. I buy a few things off amazon too. Our dollar is awesome but somehow shipping is now cheaper too. : ) I do wait for a big shipment though. : )
We are so quiet :) Booked Chase in for his vaccinations next week, yes its true my boy will be 4 months next wednesday. WTH?? LOL My mum comes back from the philippines on sunday night (too late to come see Chase so she will have to wait till Monday). I'm so excited. Today I am trying to cook roast beef using a slow cooker and I got the receipe from the slow cooker section on this site so I hope it doesn't turn out crap or I will be very sad and of course hungry because we wont be able to eat it.
Funniest thing happened yesterday, I was at the shops with SIL and Chase and passed the movies and thought, yes shall get DH and I tickets to go see hangover 2 in Star Club. Bought the tickets, got home, very excited. SIL and BIL over for dinner and I reminded DH that I bought tickets to the movies for tues and his reply was "...uh, who is going to watch the baby?" Yeah, I totally forgot I had a baby LOL I just assume he comes everywhere with me and forgot to organise someone to look after him. Luckily SIL and BIL were happy to help but god I am such a doofus.
Has anyone used or knows anything about snappies cloth nappies? They are pretty cheap, was thinking of buying some to test them out depending on their postage costs but wondering if anyone has any reviews on them?
We are getting teeth :( why do rget grow so quickly?
Kitty u are so funny lol
We just plodding along. Nearly time to go back to work. So wish I didn't have too but bills won't pay themselves
hi all, living in a land of snot and vomit here. (eww yes i know!) K had the home doc out friday night, temp of 39.8 and vomiting, now she has passed it on to me and A, poor bub, ive been standing in the steamy bathroom for half hour each night befor bed to try clear her up else se cant sleep. not fun and doc recons it will just pass she is to little for anything :( brendan and the boys seem to be getting it to, and ya know its bad if brendan gets it, he rarly cattches anything, but when he dose, its usualy worse then anyone else
Kitty, i LOVE my slow cooker!! that and ds2 in daycare, should have done them both sooner!! ive re-discoverd my love of cooking, and everyone is eating the food! i done a irish stew the othernight, last night it was meat loaf, therecipie made a huge one so half is in th freezer for another night, id given up "experementing" with diffrent recipies as B & the kids wouldnt try, but they are loving it:D lucky you on the movies, were thinking of taking the kids for the first time to see cars 2, hope its still showing when were better!
Kylz, ouch! seth got his first teeth at 3 months to, everyone thought i was full of it, till he bit them:lol: hope he takes his time with everything else for you.
Jenna good luck with your diet.
i got to go, try get washing done and up the shop while ther is some sun and hope for warmth out!
Just went looking through my boys blue books my eldest got his 1st 2 teeth at 4mths the other 2 boys at 5 months.
Is anyones bub rolling over yet my eldest son was rolling over at 14weeks and comando crawling at 16 weeks crawling at 5mths walking at 9mths the other 2 boys were crawling at 6mths and walking at 12 & 13 mths i think little miss is going to be lazy she doesnt even try to roll over yet and hates being on her belly unless on a heat pack for belly pain.
She chews and sucks her hands and is starting to try and reach out for her toys hanging on her moblie but she seems to be a real baby baby still newbornish not grown up looking like some bubs and she sleeps all the time she only has a wakeful period of an hour in the morning and again after lunch then has a 2-3 period in the late arvo when its bath time but she mostly sleeps.
