Cloth nappies make a huge difference too, we always weight it and then put it on him to weight then subtract it. The lighter ones are around 150g and some are more around the 200g if they have lots of inserts!

I'm a little worried but the nurses think he is fine. I can feel his ribs, but you can't see them. He is a wee bit chubby in places. He is tall to tho, I guess he just got the skinny genes from both sides. Pity I didn't get some!

Oh jaki Chloe had cloth on and winter clothes, she is probably only 6kgs lol. Meanwhile as I'm typing this sunrise has a story on a bub born 7.25kgs. Holy crap.
Kitty hope you get your wrist brace soon and fx DH gets this job yup just love getting the girls out for the gp, plus I need a pap yippee.
Jenna hope your household is feeling better soon xx
Sarah did you ever get to the contraception appt thingy? Can't think what its called lol. Would be interested to hear what they say....we probs won't be having more kids but don't want to do anything as permanent as tubes tied or vasectamy.....and I freak out every couple of weeks I'm pregnant lol
Does anyone else not have AF back? I'm enjoying it, but missing the non preg reassurance haha.

    Hey everyone.

When i had J weighed at 4 months to the date he was 7.8kg HC was 42 and length was 65 and that was with a nappy and body suit on.

We have started solids here and I have to admit that I am sooo lazy that I have been giving him the premade pouches. Seems to like them and havent had a reaction yet. Just not sure what the deal is with the waking up at 330-4am is again.

I have had AF back for a while now and she is currently visiting and I think this is the 4th time. GRRRRRR Nowhere near as bad as i thought. I havent really had any cramps the whole time.

Good Luck Wee Man getting weighed today. 4 weeks till I see you YAYAYAYYAAYYAAY

Kitty sending GL vibes to G and the job. I know all about money stress and ahole bosses at the moment.

EM: yes i had my contraceptive councelling, so fun that was! she read the letter from my doctor, looked over my file (as i had ds1 there) and said straight out no they will not do my tubes as im only 23 blah blah, could sue as i have a good 20+ years of reproduction ahead, she spent 2 hrs talking non stop about the iud's, and basicaly made me think i had no choice but the merina, even tho i expressed my concern over having bad reactions to the hormones in implanon and the depvo.
if i get any form of side effects from the hormones in the merina, im to wait it out for 6-7 months and if they havent dissapeard by then they will "disscuss" removing it. she is convinced it will work as its "99% effective" yup, thats what they said with implanon! if you want it, get a info sheet from them and read it. they didnt give me jack, only if i start a heavy bleed go to emergency, google is not my friend at the moment!!

oh never have kids at a contraceptive appointment either... S was ment to be watching the girls but snuk arround the curtain, had to walk threw the packed waiting room with a 5yo asking why i was on the bed and what was the doctors doing! yup try explaing that one!!

Jaki, good luck Wee man! hope he has porked out for you!! ive got to get A checked, i know she has goten longer but she is still a skinny little thing!

Kylz, with the pre made food what ones are you using? my kids hated the hinez after 2 months of solids.
A has the taste for coffee, df dips her dummy in the foam on top sometimes, well now i cant have one with her near as she tries to rip it from my hand!

Jenna, poor kiddies, the last month there has been one or 2 sick at all times here. now its brendan, he was sent home from work yesterday, and told to be back wensday and 100% better, cant see that happening, he lost his voice today. man flu, BAH!

Allyssa still isnt trying to roll or sit up. she is quiet happy were ever you "plop" her providing the other 3 leave her alone when she wants them to! to be honest im happy for her to take as long as she needs, i kind of WANT her to stay my baby forever, but i know she has to do these things eventualy im trying to hold onto the baby-ness i think.. the older 3 didnt seem to be babies for long, they were trying to set reccords for hitting milestones i swear!

Well we didn't hit the 6kgs as I'd hoped
He has gained tho and we are close at 5950g.

As for af I've been totally ripped off. Full time BFing and I get it like clockwork. Bites the big one!

I got AF like 6 weeks after birth, and then about 3 weeks after that I got it for 3 days and then I haven't seen it since lol. Maybe the BFing finally scared it away

Chase is loving his solids. I'm not loving his chunky little nugget poos though...so far he has had rice cereal and sweet potato, and rice cereal and pear; I just mash up a whole load of both and freeze them and take out as needed. I have pumpkin at the ready once he has finished his sweet potato and pear. Wonder if solids is the reason chase is becoming hard to put to bed again...nope spoke to soon lol just walked in there and gave him a nice pat on the leg and he quietened down and went to sleep he also likes teething rusks, likes to hold them himself and everything and gets water out of his sippy cup if i hold it for him hehe.

sarah: Chase has no interest in rolling either. He has no interest being on his belly no matter how many toys I put in front of him, he's stubborn

jaki: thats close enough to 6kg wooo Wyatt

iona: Haven't heard back about DH's job yet, still waiting nervously. DH is all relaxed though, he thinks he got the job but im always more on the cautious side as in you dont got it until the guy calls you and tells you that you got it.

And if I missed anyone, hope you are doing well.

    Kylz - Blegh to AF

afm - AF turned up tonight, blegh, been b*tchy and hormonal for 2 weeks now, was expecting AF to turn up a week ago when I got crampy and bloated, but nooo, it had to turn up today. Pffffft!

Just been and had my chuncker weighed and buck naked he is 8.22kg. His length is still 65 but head has grown 1/2cm to 42.5cm

going to try taking the thickener out of his formula and see what happens. The MCHN (a nice and helpful one today) said he is getting too full. She also told me if he wakes in the early morning to try and just resettle without feeding to see if he has just got a belly ache.

Since I started him on solids he has started waking at about 330-4am again. Any ideas?

Thanks Sarah that is so useless of them though! I understand they don't want to do anything permanent but they could have given you more info to make an informed decision!
Jaki yaay he is so close! Id take that as 6, maybe he just did a wee or something lol.
Hi Tams if you're out there!!! Hope all is going well xx

kylz: my prob is getting C to go to bed. What time do you feed J for dinner?? Maybe he is going to bed too full and wakes up early with a tummy ache?? i don't feed C any solids after 5pm-6pm. I start putting C to bed 7.30pm and he cries so I go in there every so often and pat his bum, usually he just goes to sleep but lately just crying and crying its stressing me out. Right now he is crying but its that fake one that he does like he just needs to hear his own voice.

sarah: lol Most of the time Chase vomits in his mouth and then just swallows it back down. Cant waste any of that sour breast milky goodness lol tell me about it, chase is 3 weeks from being 6 months!!!!! wtf?? LOL

jenna: booo to AF im dreading mine coming back. ive gotten so used to not having it.

Got a letter from logan hosiptal today, they are doing a Special Care Development Group that I can take chase to and they will do a brief assessment of his progress and what to expect and what is 'normal' milestones etc Sounds like it will be good. im Working for Dh's dad again tomorrow. Dh's work today (even though they said he could keep working with them till he found another job) told him it was his last day and he has to give his van back tomorrow. They have paid out his holiday pay and everything already. He is now officially unemployed. He called the guy from the interview on Monday and he said he had called and spoken to one of his referees and was just going to call the other one tomorrow then call DH to let him know. bleh so over this.

How did you girls know they were ready for solids? I was pretty determined not to start til 6 months but I have no idea how I will hold her off that long!! When we eat she stares at the food and watches us chew then copies. And today she was in the trolley and tried to take a piece of cheese out of ellas hand!! Have to watch them like a hawk now!! Meanwhile on an unrelated topic Chloe hasn't pooed since Saturday, its going to be epic lol
