Wyatt loves the tv. It's just the noise and shapes and moving colours :)
Teni- I just looked at my thread that made me think you were using a shield, my bad, obviously I was skimming ;)
Chloe loves looking at the tv, or my phone, or any light really lol. Jaki do you still have to use the shield?
Nope :D
We got off it part time at 10 weeks and have been full time since 12 weeks! So proud of the wee man!
Oh yay!! You should be proud of yourself too!! What a pain in the ass the shield must have been.
jaki: I only leave Chase co-sleeping with me when DH has left to go to work cos Dh is such a heavy sleeper I worry that he will just roll on Chase without realising if i squash Chase between us. So Chase is in his thin onesie inside a long sleeved sack and he sleeps on DH's side with the thin doona cover on him that we both share. On the weekend if Chase falls asleep while I am BFing him on my side I just get up and leave him there and go sleep in the spare room :)
With the bassinett I didn't even know having their head close to the top of the bassinet was a SIDS risk, I always put chase as high as he can go in the bassinet because in the middle of the night he wiggles his way down to the bottom (I have a towel under the mattress to keep it angled). He doesn't really sleep with a blanket because I put him in the sack and we have the heater on low heat all night. There is a blanket in there but its more comfort for him and he kicks it off anyway by morning.
sarah: I hardly ever let Chase watch TV and its not because I think its bad or anything, I don't have any other kids and hate housework so when he is awake I just play with him constantly lol. Its actually probably bad for me to do that cos he will get used to me being all up in his grill all the time. But he is obsessed with my phone if I try and use it while I am BFing, he pauses feeding to watch it :) At my mums house all Chase does is watch TV and he looks like a little zombie just sitting on their couch staring at the TV. But he loves it, the colours and sounds.
teni: he hasn't bit me today, when he has its been at the end of a feed, so he has no problem feeding straight away. Maybe I leave him on there too long now and he gets bored and decides to chomp, ill keep an eye on it and see when he gets bite crazy.
iona: DH called the guy today and he said the references checked out so HR will call DH next week to arrange him to come in for a medical and then he can start working. So im guessing DH has the job, just weird it too the guy so long to actually respond, but yay for the job. Once he is actually at work on a job site i will breathe easier :)
lou: any poo yet??? or is Chloe still brewing??? LOL
think i am getting AF...I was so excited that I didn't have it anymore and now its back...boooo
Well I'm not sure... I just know in the hospy they tell you to put the baby at the bottom of the plastic crib, and all the safe sleep pamphlets say to put them at the base of the cot so I presumed same would apply to basinette.
Congrats on dh job, fx it works out. Did you get the nightfill job?
Hi guys, been reading along with you all...
Jaki - re the bottom of the crib thing, im pretty sure it's so they can't wriggle down in the night and become covered in sheets/blankets etc. Also they need to have air circulating around their heads, so if they are right up the top it doesn't circulate much, itms.
We cosleep early mornings... Usually I hold her.
With MJ, we used a sleeping bag and had her up high between our pullout so she was out of our way and not covered by our doona...
Kitty, DH is a really heavy sleeper now, which is why Miss A doesn't come in often.
Re the biting, I remember this, it was horrid :(... With MJ I use to take her off and that would be the end of the feed, she figured out pretty quick not to do it.... Think it started around 6 months... A hasn't started, but I am dreading
Hi to everyone else :)

Eek not looking forward to the biting!!!
Yay for DH job kitty :) and Chloe is still brewing ewwww its going to be hardcore, no doubt while I'm doing groceries today lol. It's been a week today. How long did chase go that time? Surely it would be uncomfortable to not poo for that long?! She doesn't seem to be in any discomfort though.....
Jak if Chloe is in with us I usually hold her in the crook of my arm, and she is on top of our doona with her own swaddle thingy on with a wondersuit underneath. If in her basinette she has a side sleeper thing then after I pop her in I tuck a blanket down the sides so she can't startle awake. Now she rolls back to tummy I'm too scared to swaddle her properly in case she rolls on her tummy and gets stuck cos she can't get her arms out. I sleep her feet down the bottom. Oh and we have the heater on 18 degrees. Hope that makes sense lol.
lou: Chase was fine when he was holding back his poos, i think its worse for him now that he is pooing everyday lol the paed I saw told me it was normal for BF babies to take a few days (or more) to poo. Chase's record was 2 weeks, lets see what Chloe goes for hahaha
jaki: oh yeah, I'd probably put him closer to the bottom if he had a blanket so that he didn't wiggle under it but because he sleeps in a sack I just put him as high up as I can, but just leaving a little space at the top. Haven't heard back about the night jobs I applied for :( never thought i'd say this but apparently im not good enough to work at maccas or woolies hahahaha I like working at FIL's clothes shop, its just the finding someone to watch Chase for one day and having to express milk before the day that is a PITA.
sammie: oh good I've been taking him off whenever he bites but I've worked out he only does it when he is overtired and at the end of a feed, so he just gets grumpy and munches on me so I'll be keeping an eye on that. I almost cringe when I go to feed him now wondering if this will be the time he bites me again LOL
just came back from cirque du soleil, that **** was awesome!!! I had Chase and my best friend had her 1.5 year old and Chase pretty much slept, watched the show, slept again, woke up and chucked a narnar in the interval, then back to sleep, then watched the show. I think im finally ready for a mummy and me movie session hehehe
Is there a 4 month growth spurt? W has been feeding 4 times overnight the last few nights. I'm exhausted! Oh well at least he is feeding properly for a change.
I think so. It's about when J decided he didn't wanna sleep
Apparently there is a major developmental wonder week and also sleep regression around this time... Awesome!
Noooooo sleep regression!!!
I have the wonderweeks iPhone app and this is the biggest one from 14-19 weeks. Joy.
He has also been super whingy today!
What's the app called jak
