Crap lol better buy a kitkat
oh crap im a week and a half away from the next one i think...if my calculations are correct LOL
Oh I should add, they go by bubs due date. Not sure why. So kitty you've got time for a kit kat too :)
what do you think my chanses are of getting Allyssa to sleep in her cot at night? she sleeps up to 12hrs once shes out, but wont sleep unless im next to her and already sleeping! according to df, the minute i fall asleep, she closes her eyes and nods off. i dont mind her being in with me, but it gets a bit crowded when krystal comes in screaming at 4am..
Can you get her to sleep with you then move her to the cot? We let J fall asleep in the bouncer (naughty I know) and then we move him although last night we just let im semi drift off in DH arms then put him to bed. he winged for about 1 min if that then was out till 7am this morning.
Right now im trying to find the nearest Op shop to take him too cause the incescent whinging is doing my head in today. I wish he would take a dummy.
W falls asleep in my arms most nights, then I lay him down. Altho they say if you dint want to always have to comfort sleep to put them down when they are just almost asleep. I'd say it just needs some persistence. Wyatt and I watch telly in bed at night so it's not a hassle cause I don't have anyone else to look after.
thats the thing, i cant even pretend to be asleep! if she gose to sleep in her rocker or in my arms at the computer, she wakes up when you move her. ive left her sleeping in the rocker, just carried it to the bedroom, the minute i get in bed, she is up and wanting me, even if its half hour after moving! im going to try her in the cot tonight as DF just talked me into a electric blanket, man i hate them things!! id rather be up and down all night then not sleeping because she is on it (even if it is off, realy realy dont like them!)
Kylz have you tried him with a light n sound thing? it might help him settle. A has a sea horse that has a light and soft music that plays. ive got a big tommy one for the cot but its put away somewere. we have days were she just sooks and carruys on, if the soft music is going near her she 9/10 is fine, and its quiet enough not to p!$$ me off with the noise!!
A lady asked me how old A was today, near fell over when i said 4 months, she thought weeks at the most :o i know she is little, but jeeze!
I usually have to feed, then walk around for a bit with her all cuddled up, then can usually put her to bed still awake but super drowsy she's fine to nod off. It took this whole time to get her to this stage. Just hard cos its ellas dinner bath bed as well. But I have finally sorted a night routine, only took 4 months lol!!
Chase is back to sleeping like a good boy. My routine is a nappy change, wear him out with playing then whack him on the boob and when he looks like he is sleeping on the boob I take him into the completely dark bedroom and swap sides to wake him up a tiny bit so he knows where we are then let him have some sucks until he is settled again. Then I take away boobie and stick him in the bassinett, tuck in his blanket then pat his bum. Then I say nigh nigh and leave the room closing the door so its completely dark. Some nights he will whine for a couple of minutes like he did tonight and then he just drifts off. Other nights he cries loudly for a little while so I go in there after a couple of minutes and pat the bum say nigh nigh and leave. If he still continues crying do the same thing but leave a longer amount of time before I go in there. On nights like those by the 2nd or 3rd time he eventually gives up and goes to sleep. I know its prob hard for you though sarah cos you have your other kids and for me its just me and DH so we can keep the house quiet when we are trying to put him to sleep (even though DH plays call of duty in the living room while i put chase to sleep and there are grenades going off everywhere doh!) i havent tried putting him in a cot to sleep yet, I might buy a heater for his room first then start trying. Just waiting to hear back about that job for DH before I go buying things.
aarrghh squirted myself in the eye with breastmilk when I was detaching Chase, they should make an emoticon thingy doing that hahahaha
meanwhile remember when i said i was getting AF?? turns out it was a one time random teeny tiny bleed. huh...I wish my body would stop playing games with me seriously.
 kitty!!!
well last night was a HUGE fail! she had her change, bottle burp, got her all nice and tucked in still sleeping, went to bed, woke up a hour later to her crying, apparently she had started sooking the minute i fell asleep, and had slowly progressed to a cry, df tried to settle her but figured a little cry wont hurt her and she would fall asleep. :eyeroll:
I went in and got her, she calmed down a bit, I took her back to my room, the minute df said "what do you think your doing" to her, she burst into a fit of giggles, cheeky little poo! was asleep in minutes of lying down with me, but woke at the slightest move. But there was progress, the whole time she was in her cot crying or "sooking" as df puts it, Krystal did not wake!
Now the dilemma of the day... wake her up to change her poo or give her a few minutes rest... poor thing was so exhausted from trying to get it out she fell asleep mid grunt  shouldnt laugh, bad mummy!!
Leave her sleep lol she wake when she is uncomfy
