Haha I find spew all around it as well. It's mandatory now to put a bib on him as soon as he goes in because he just spews and drools the whole time! I'm so glad it's easy to pull apart and clean! He figured out how to turn himself around using his hands the first go in it, then later with his feet and body. Now he just turns around constantly, trying to eat one toy after the other lol:
First night baby free and do u think I could sleep NO we went to a friends engagement party then home and nope worst night sleep ever and my body is killing from training on fri. Glad we only did half hour stupid lady that runs it.
at least you know the training is paying off Kylz :) my theory is if you aren't in pain it ain't working lol
had a peaceful night once Chase went to sleep, thanks daddy for finally helping out on that one after I yelled at him that he does nothing :wall: this morning woke up at 730am fed the baby, then he hung out in our bed talking to us while we dozed. Finally got up around 930am, gave him a bath then I had a shower then Chase had another feed and then straight to sleep which is where he is now. *sigh* I wish every morning was this easy :) now just waiting for him to wake up so I can go to the shops and get a present for a party that is on at noon, oh im cutting it so very very close!

:o Chase has a tooth poking through, its on the bottom right hand side of the two middle bits. I can actually feel it now when I press down on his gums. Aww no wonder he has been furious the past couple of days this buggar of a tooth has been pushing through.

Elise got weighed on thursday, she's 62cm long, and weighs 6.85kg... I forget her head circumference though lol

Not much here. Got the rolling hapnin. Tried some solids, VERY not keen. The faces are hilarious :D
I truly never thought I'd be the mum who applauded poos and tried to talk my kids through them... But I am that person :lol:
I've been doing "lazy solids", as I put it - if I feel like it, she'll get some puree, and a lot of meals I'll share a bit with her. She's gagged a couple of times (my bad, I wasn't watching as closely as I should've and didn't notice she'd got a bigger chunk off!) but she's taken to it well. I feel a bit guilty at not sticking to the original "get to six months" thing, but she's happy and seems to love sharing with mummy :)
No teeth yet, either, though we think some are on their way soon. She wants to be on the move! She managed to twist from feet towards me to feet away from me the other day :lol: and she's been trying to sit by herself for over a month. Hasn't mastered it yet though. She can sit using her hands sometimes but tends to tip sideways - or leap forward and smash her head on the ground like last week! Scared the poop out of me!

Chloe is rolling everywhere from one end of the house to the other, but can only roll one way lol. Wants to sit but not balanced enough. No teeth but they are so close, and bothering her a bit. Getting weighed Wednesday. No solids yet, waiting for my BLS book to arrive. She drank ebm out of a sippy cup yesterday.
I've started at the gym. Holy owies I am so unfit!!

We been eating for a while, moving all over the place, sitting up alone, 1 tooth nearly through. Where the hell has 6 months gone?
Not alot else happening
I joined a gym when Eden was 7 weeks, but was only going once or twice a week to the classes. I haven't gone every week coz there have been weeks one or both (or one then the other) kids were sick. Same last week, Eden had a really green nose and they told me, without actually saying it, she can't come back it til it's cleared. It cleared, but now she's got this horrible cough.
She finally went to her own room the other day. She was supposed to go on Thursday, but the cough sounded croup-y again and I wanted her near me. Friday night she was there, and woke once. Saturday was J's birthday party and instead of her 3 naps that are normally between 1-1.5hr, she had one nap for half an hour. all day. That was it. Then woke 8+ times (I lost count after 4 and dh got up to her 4 times). Slept ok last night, woke once at 4:30. Tonight is wake up #2 and I dragged her back to our room coz she won't let me put her back to bed coz she keeps feeding, and it's cold down there. As soon as the feed is over though, back to her room she goes.
Rolling happened about 2 weeks ago, but she's not happy being on the floor at all. If she's on the floor, you've gotta be there too. Just will not amuse herself. Prefers to sit. Shed unsteady but she can sit there! Can't leave her coz she'll fall to the side, but sometimes to can see her put her hand out to stop herself, which does nothing coz she doesn't put pressure on it.
No solids here, but boy, is she ready! She was probably ready about 3 weeks ago, but I want to wait it out til 6 months ( I'll speak to a dr or nurse about it on Friday) as she has reaction to her vaccination and they bind those with all sorts of things like egg and dairy and latex. We're booked in for a special vaccination clinic at the Mater for the next lot.
This has been longer than I expected, and she's finally asleep!
I couldn't find the bls book anywhere in coffs. I'm gonna borrow it from aba when I get back, I also want to chat to my aba group leader about her thoughts on it all. She is my lactation consultant at the Hosp and knows my obsession with starving Wyatt. I asked the child health nurses and the Hosp nutritionist their opinions but the are dead set against bls.:
At this stage he doesn't seem keen on either method so will wait it out. I kinda have a plan to do both if possible. Like maybe give him the food and a bit of a purée top up? He is not a great BFer and still pretty small :(
Yeah jak I'm planning on doing a bit of both, I ordered the BLS book online and a cookbook for really cheap, it was one recommended on a thread here. I'm sticking to the motto 'food is fun until they're one'. Thought I would hold off til 6 months but my girl wants food now lol. 5 months old today so I think I've made her wait long enough, will try her on some carrot or potato in a few days I think....I ordered the bloody book weeks ago, I'm sure it will tell me what I already know anyway lol. How's your holiday?

aww, :hug: It's hard, isn't it? Although ds was older, it was still hard. You probably wont feel any better until you pick him up, lol. Are you back at work today?
4 wake ups last night. She just had a feed, went back to sleep, and that lasted 15 mins. so now she's chatting in her room and she can stay there. I'm going to listen to lecture capture, as my exam is on Saturday. Whats the bet Eden wakes up a million times Friday night? :)
2 month (6 week) needles, Eden's left leg came up in a massive welt that was a ball, and a mark that spread out across her thigh, high temp and very sensitive in that whole thigh, cranky in general. I took pictures so I when she went for her 4 month needles, I could show the nurse. I had to see the dr for it specifically (instead of just the "is she fine?" "yep" "ok, needles"). We were told to stay after for 15 mins to check for any other reaction. Specific vaccinations go into specific legs (ie: vaccination X goes into left leg, vaccination Y into right leg), so they were keen to watch the left leg. No reaction in the left leg, but a similar reaction in the right leg and a whole body rash with a slight rise in temp. Dr seems to think that it's because she was in a room with a heater, then because we sat in the room with the heater. So, we moved to a room with no heater, and still the rash remained. But they're sending us to the Mater for the next vaccinations.
Nah not till tues fn but they wanted me to put him in a day before I went back so I am close should he not cope so he goes today and next wed and then tues wed thurs from there. I'm only working tues wed at moment but will go to thurs after Xmas and if I didn't keep the day I would be stuck so I now at my husbands request I have thurs at home ALONE

Just want to give you a :hug: Kylie... It's so hard the first few times, it gets easier thou.

Well so far so good. Few tears from me when I got there but fine since. I called earlier and he was having a great day. Had had a sleep Anf lunch and was just playing.
I've just about finished all my linen stuff I had to do so I will o collect him soon. I think when he goes next wed I will book myself in to get my nails done

Kylz: its funny how we miss them more than they miss us. Did he get really excited when you walked in to pick him up?? Thats the favourite part of my day on Fridays :) Going to pick him up and seeing him smile and kick his legs excitedly when he sees me.
Rhi: somehow they know just when to wake up the night before you have something planned the next day :) it must be in the being a baby handbook lol
lou: I wanted to do a bit of puree and BLS but I can't give him the stuff I eat because i eat all unhealthy food :redface: The most i have given him to try is a bit of my crust from my toast. Oh and we gave him a carrot to nibble on at hogs breath but then he actually bit a chunk off and had it in his mouth and we both freaked out that he would choke on it (he didnt, he lodged it in his cheek and sucked on it) and DH banned me from giving Chase any more food like that :(
jaki: chase still makes a face every time i give him his food, even though he has had them before he still makes a face and then rolls it around in his mouth checking that it is acceptable lol. Wyatt will tell you when he is ready for solids :)
All these rolling babies :) Chase knows how to do it but he still prefers to cry and make me pick him up :rolleyes: oh well, at least i know he can do it lol. He is getting heaps better at sitting up by himself, and I can sit him on his little bed/couch and let him watch elmo. I freaking love that red puppet. I bought him some DVD's and he justs sits there watching them (if he is in a good mood anyway)
I have been having awful nights with Chase. He's been waking up at 11pm and then sometimes 4am etc for feeds. I think there is a 6 month growth spurt and i think he is going through it but hopefully we are towards the end of it now. His little tooth is coming out more and more every day. Hurts so much when he bites my finger and my boob but I think I've nearly got him to stop doing that. Nearly.
He's had quite a few different vegies now; broccoli, spinach, potato, sweet potato, pumpkin, carrot, sweet corn. My books says about seven months we can start feeding him meat so not long now till I get to start that. I think I will prob start off with pureed chicken in his vegies then add more from there. I got this booklet from a mothers info morning that I went to with recipes for purees so I'm keen to try some out :)
Hi everyone.
Not much hapening here - both kids are sick, I'm sick and have had the beginnings of a migraine for 5 days :( And hubby has just gotten over food poisoning blah.
DS fell off the back steps today (the dog wagged her butt and hit him) and hit his head in a couple of places on the ground - he's got grazes all over his scalp and a lump, possible slight concussion and what looks like the start of a black eye :( Poor bubba. He's also coughing and has a slight fever as well.
Elise has been waking up at night the last few nights :( She's got a cough and slight fever too, but it's so hard to give her baby panadol or dymadon because she just spits it right back out like she does with solids.
This morning her poo was blue-grey in colour, very weird, but normal this afternoon.
I'm exhausted, in pain, light sensitive and just plain out of it.

I see photos and vids on fb of all the babies doing stuff and W just isn't there yet.

I wouldn't worry! H man is massive and doesn't look like a baby but he is sort of! He sits now but only rolls side to side not over! He now liked to stand and can stand quite well with mr just holding his hands.
They all do things at their own pace! Xo

And Elise is only rolling from side to side mostly - yesterday afternoon she got onto her tummy but her arm was caught underneath her so she couldn't get all the way over properly. She's not really doing much else other than being able to sit up with support.

Aurora isn't doing much either! Rolls onto her side but thats it, she is a long way away from sitting unsupported... All in good time :)
I also wanted to say about the weight thing, MJ was under the 25th percentile from about 4 weeks old, she was bigish at birth then was just a skinny little thing, she chubbed up around 8 or 9 months but then started crawling and lost it all again!

Full on here, DSS has moved in (there is a thread if your interested) ... so it's school lunches and uniforms for a 13 year old, I feel a bit over whelmed at times, especially as his mum is a big fat cow :(
Anyway, 5 months tomorrow, it's flying isn't it!

Jaki, yup, still a baby baby here. i shouldnt but i do leave her on the couch, she happily just lies there talking to her hands, dosent even attempt to roll off.
she has done it a few times but now knows she can do it, hasnt botherd since! She can hold her head and chest up off the floor to look arround at tummy time and if proped up on the couch, will lean forward to grab her knees, apart from the smiles and gigles, thats as interesting as things get lately!
Picked up a bumbo today (:happydance: finaly got one cheep) she is loving sitting down with the others for telly time, we had tears when they all wandered off to play cars!
With solids, i bought a bullet thing but she isnt ready for her own food, happy taste testing everything i eat and what krystal shares.
Im going to try get Allyssa into the docs tommorow, Krystal had croup last week, i think Allyssa has it now, bad cough, isnt keen on her bottles, and what she is having im sure she is brining more up. She has only had 2x 240 mls today, and that was in 70ml lots. last night i could only get her to have 40ml befor bed.
Kylz, :hug: i was upset when trent starteddaycare this year, he is 4, and i was ready to strangle him! still got real sad over it:(
Thanks all he had a good time. They gave him yoghurt though for lunch and I though dairy was 9mths
