Our son Ryker Thomas was born via ceasarian on sat 24th March weighing 3800grams and 52.5cm
He is our 3rd son, ds1 is almost 6 and ds2 4 1/2. They are so in love with their baby brother
I am still in hospital, going home tomorrow, dressing came off my scar this morning, it's feeling good, neat and clean and dissolvable stitches so no need to have any stitches out.
I struggled the first few nights with ryker being ver unsettled and not bf well. He had lots of mucous on is lungs he was bringing up, and tongue tie, both affecting his feeding, he had the tongue tie snipped, brought up all the gunk, the milk truck has arrived and he is feeding really well now ( I also need to use a nipple shield for my flat nipples)
Alicia Cate was also born on 17th March. She was too impatient to be born and was delivered by Daddy on the bathroom floor. She weighed 3.97kg and was 49cm long.
We are absolutely smitten with her and so are her two older sisters who are 3years and 21 months. She has settled into our family well and is a massive sleepy head. I have to wake her for almost every feed during the day (I don't wake her at night).
Looking forward to seeing this group growing with mums and bubs
I have two DSs (22 months and 3 weeks) and bubba has been a boobie monster for the past few days ... I reckon I got about 90 minutes sleep all up last night ... bub just wanted to feed and feed and feed!!

Me lisa sounds like you have a cruisey little girl there, I'm a little jealous of the night sleeps but I know it'll seem like no time at all before they all start growing up
Helena is doing well and now weighed 3.920kg at 10 days so she is up 110g from her birth weight after losing only 250g. She is obviously feeding well. I can't get over how long she is. Most of the newborn clothes don't fit and all the premmy clothes from my other dd's went straight back in the storage box! I'm feeling more energetic daily which is nice . Child and youth health are visiting tomorrow and she will have her hearing test done then too

Glad your infection is clearing up PN. Hope you get a decent sleep tonight! DD is feeding every 1 1/2 - 2 hours during the day and probably around 3 hourly at night. We are cosleeping so I don't really keep track of how many wake ups we have.
DF's parents leave in a couple of days and DF and DD1 are going to have 2 days away with them. I'm looking forward to the house being quiet again and getting everyone settled into a bit more of a routine. DD1 is going to miss her grandparents so much, I have big shoes to fill now that she won't have them here for her to boss them around and to read her books all day

We had Finnian Levi on 15th march by Caesar. Everything going fabulously so far, fingers crossed it stays like this!
Feeding is great, he's a little piggy (9lb 1 at birth, 2 weeks early, lol). Had him weighed etc today and he is back above birth weight already and has grown 3 cms!!! He was really long at birth too so maybe a big boy on our hands.
Lucky for us he is cluster feeding in the evening, bed at 9.30 and then only wakes once at 2am and then at 7ish.
Our first was a nightmare feeder and sleeper so maybe we've been blessed this time!
Feeling good after my Caesar, no pain and my lochia stopped after 6 days - is that normal?
we got through our first night at home alright!
Ryker fed at 5pm, i went to bed early and he woke at 1045pm, then at 230am. but after the feed he didnt settle and end up feeding him again at 530am so was up from 230-630am then slept for another hour before getting up with the big boys getting ready for school etc.
i did manage a 1hr nanna nap this arvo before dh picked the boys up from school.
so we will see how tonight goes.
he is such a slow feeder, i look forward to when he gets a bit quicker. (feed time is 50-60min atm)
its funny so far the 3 of us in here all have 3 and all of the same gender
i rang the early childhood place yesterday to organise a visit, missed their return call, i rang again today, left a msg but no one called back.
now i cant try again until Monday which will prob mean they wont come until tuesday, i really want to get him weighed again as he had dropped below the 10% bw was 3800g and yesterday coming home he was 3390grams
Hope you can get someone to weigh your little man soon. Is there a local chemist with baby scales you could use over the weekend if you're worried. Im sure he will be fine as long as he is feeding often enough and weeing and pooing lots! I think they say 8-12 feeds in 24hrs and no longer than 4hrs between feeds if they are sleepy heads! Its so hard when they take that long to settle overnight. Helena got hiccups twice between feeds last night so she needed to be settled.
Well we have thrush now so on to treating that. Hopefully it will clear up quickly, Im not bothering with nystatin this time as it never worked for the girls so we are on to daktarin. Helena has had a sleepy day today so Im hoping that doesnt mean an awake night! She has gotten in to the habit of cluster feeding in the evenings so once Dh is back at work Im going to have to prepare dinner in the mornings as much as possible
Child and youth health visited and our little fatty had put 60 grams on in two days. Her length was a bit shorter than at birth by a cm the nurse said it could have been from her head moulding and going back to normal or a dodgy first measurement. Either way she is really long compared to my others.
Family photos were taken monday so Im hoping that they will be online sometime next week. I can't wait to see them.
Our first baby Willow Dona was born a week ago on Sunday 25 March, a total miracle after a long TTC journey.
She was going to be induced the next day, so I was ecstatic when my waters broke (or rather, leaked) spontaneously in the wee hours of Sunday morning. Labour was about 12 hours and Willow arrived - with the help of ventouse - at 9:30pm. She was 3.04 kg and 49cm. I was shocked to see she had auburn hair like my husband, as I was expecting lots of dark hair like mine. Gotta love redheads.
We were in hospital for four nights and are on our fourth day home, which is bliss. She's feeding very well, long feeds during the day and cluster feeds at night like Miss Helena. My nipples are quite sore from damage last week and my attachment still needs some work, but we're getting there slowly. Sleep is more of an issue for me than her, as I'm a very anxious first time mum and fuss over every little snuffle! Which I'm sure will settle once we get to know each other better. She prefers to sleep on either myself or DH so we get lots of cuddles on the couch, though I sure do miss my bed. Trying co-sleep and a few other things that you lovely ladies have already suggested.
I'm extremely lucky that DH was able to take long service leave to be with us, so we have another six weeks together. It's amazing watching him bond with Willow, he's a complete natural. He has more confidence than me a lot of the time!

We're doing well, miss A was a bit of a turd burgler yesterday and didnt sleep very much and was very very fussy last night, needles to say i feel like a zombie today!

She's still not getting the hang of this sleeping at night thing,she'll have a decent 3 hr or so black from about 9ish then its on for young and old, had her up at 5am doing bicycle legs trying to get her to poo, she grunts and pushed alot for watery poo but the health nurse said she's just trying to work out where she's supposed to push to get some action happening.
She smiled at me yesterdaty!!!! i was clapping her hands together and this big gummy grin was on her face, i called Df over to have a look and he called BullS but then she did it again! and he was like holy moly isnt she a bit young?! it was so nice, DD2 was 13 weeks old before she gave me a half smile, lazy troll!
BF going well, boobs are free of thrush again but i must have put her dummy or something in my mouth because i think im getting it in there, the joys!
Big girls both have colds, thankfully the novelty of a baby sister has worn off and they arent smooching her as much. DD2 is pushing ALOT of boundries atm, but i guess that was to be expected.
All these newbie photo's make me want to have another one!
Hi Fuzzywuzzy - just over the last two nights my DD has been very unsettled between the times of 3am - 7 am. So I can sympathise with the cluster feeding. How is your DD now? Hope your feeling better after pulling your stitches.

Hello peanutter - I had a c-sect also, and my tummy has been itchy. I am sorry to hear you have an infection, I can totally sympathise with you, it is not nice. I have found weirdly that my stretch marks have been itchy also. Hope Bub has been sleeping well for you. How are you feeling emotionally? I noted you wrote you are still processing things... excuse me if this is ignorant but was your C-section planned?

Hi kelsbels - Does your DS settle well after his feeds? Thats fantastic that you are feeling well after your C-sect! I am not sure about the lochia stopping after 6days, I am still losing some.
As for me..
After trying to conceive her for 2 1/2 years - Our DD was born on the 7th weighing 3805g and 54cm long. She has beautiful hair and gorgeous blue eyes. She is our first baby.
After labouring for a long time it all ended in an emergecy c-sect due to "failure to progress" and my waters breaking prematurely. I feel like everything was taken out of my control and I am stuggling a bit as I try to work everything thru... during birth & after. 8 days after her birth I was back in hospital for 4 nights due to my wound opening up & developing a nasty infection. Fast forward and I am still on AB's and getting my wound checked every 5 days now by my GP. It feels bruised but MUCH better than before, it really knocked me for a 6.
We are breast feeding and that is going really well. My nipples aren't sore and her attachement is awesome. I have tried expressing only once...is there a trick to that??? I would like to master it so DH can feed her. Ive got a medela mini electric pump.
DD sleep patterns are all over the shop, last night she slept from 10pm to 3am I then couldn't get her back down to sleep until 10am which she snoozed for an hour woke for a feed and I have only just managed to get her down again. I felt sick to the stomach with exhaustion this morning, I was scared I couldn't keep my eyes open,I napped for an hour when she did and I am feeling better. I suspect she has reflux as she has been sick a fair few times after feeds and this morning her matress was soaked the poor poppet. She also only likes being settled to sleep sitting up & sometimes pulls off the boob like she is choking.
DD cluster feeds usually from 6ish until bed time which seems to be between 9 & 10.
Yesterday I went and brought a sling as she is also not to fond of being put down.
This parenting gig is hard work thats for sure, but I do lover her too pieces and would do anything for her.

we have our first MW visit tomorrow. interested to see his weight. he was 3390 last thursday, the doc weighed him on his scales thismorning and he was 3.5kg, but nappy and clothed (anyone know how much u normally take off for that? if like 150-200g it would seem we still havent gained any... but he is eating, sleeping, weeing and pooing so doing eveything right.
Ryker is making the funniest faces on my lap whilst squeezing some nastys out his rear end lol!
Another one here with his days and nights mixed up, he is much more settled in the day.
my big boys are sick atn too, high temps and vomits, fun times in this house....thank god dh is off work atm
think ill have to express tonight, my nipples are so sore.....and i use a nipple sheild.....

We are doing well, our little piggy is stacking on the weight, 205g in 4 days! Just over two weeks old and she is 400g above her birth weight. Im happy she is growing well but gee she's my last baby and it all seems to be going so quickly already! Helena had been doing well for a couple of nights then yesterday I let her demand feed during the day and she was feeding 3-4hrly but then fed 2hrly overnight so today I have not let her go longer than 3hrs for a feed in the hope she has her longer breaks overnight. We shall see. Daylight saving change over hasn't helped as I ad DD2 in my room at 6 am then 7am when I was trying to catch up on the lack of sleep during the night.
I have one more visit with my midwife in about 10 days then thats it. Ive already made our 6 week check up appointment with the GP as I want to do it on a day without the other girls. Looking forward to Easter and catching up with family and friends but a bit sad as DH will go back to work after Easter, its been nice having him around the house Must be the time for kids to get sick as DD2 had a temp of 38.9C yesterday but she seems fine today so fx whatever it was didnt take hold.

My DS was born 27 March at 4:30pm weight 3.54kg length 51cm HC 35cm.
Was induced at 39 weeks due to low fluid around bubs, though didn't need much inducing- just my waters broken and the drip was only on about 20 mins before they turned it off as was contracting very quickly!
It took about 7 hours all up, I was terrified of another episiotomy and thankfully didn't have one, though tore, so a bit tender still, but nothing compared to the pain last time.
DS is VERY sleepy, I have to wake him to feed every single time. I am not sure bout my milk as my BB's aren't feeling full, they are always soft, not like with my DD so hoping he is getting enough.
