Phew, glad you guys bought this question up... DF is clearly interested in DTD, (asap!) but everything I have read indicates trouble ahead. Plus, I haven't had any inclination anyway - sleep is pretty much the only thing I want to do in our bed right now.
C-section ladies, can you tell me, is the pain related to the scar-site, or, um, lower?
Interesting re: bb preferences. Dr Google says it's pretty common.
Total DTD drought in this house, has been since pregnancy. My libido is MIA. DH misses it but won't initiate as he knows my headspace.
Elocin, did you get any rest today?
lct, how are you and Yves
Sara, H seems to be in a pretty good routine so far. Ours has been similar though we have an extra wake-up at 10:30/11:00. Good luck with the exercise plan, I must start walking. Fit into one pair of pre-baby jeans which feels good. Lots still packed away though.
Willow has been fussing and crying on and off all day, has been hard to settle for naps and is consequently over-tired. Also wants to suck constantly but then gets frustrated. Gah, vicious cycle. If we miss that first morning nap it throws her out. Hoping she'll conk out tonight.
Does anyone prefer a sling over a wrap-type carrier? W finally calmed down in the Hug-a-Bub but my SIL swears by her Bubba Moe sling...
Gah ryker was awake for 5hrs!!! Poor thing has been unsettled all day started thismorning right before school drop offs. Then this arvo from 330-830 he has pretty much cried :( fed him 3 times, had a shower with me, got himself so over tired now i am totally and utterly and stuffed so heading to bed as he is finally asleep I dunno what the night may hold. I have jumped on bb like 5 times today, read and never been able to reply, will try to tomorrow
Thats no good nickers! fingers crossed he sleeps well for you tonight <3
Nickers Hope you get some sleep tonight, when H did that evenings ago she ended up sleeping well overnight I hope you have the same luck
gah.
DS2 pooed so hard it went through three layers, changed and cleaned him up, fed him - he fell asleep so deeply that there was no waking him to drink from side B, so DH popped him back in bed while I pumped ... 70 minutes later, I'm done ... but of course now DS could be waking up any time for his next feed!
sorry, no personals just now - I'm going to flee to bed and pray that tonight is the night that DS sleeps through ... so I can too!!
sounds like a lot of bubs have been unsettled the last couple of nights. Sam was up all night Thursday night, but last night she had a good sleep (which means I am almost back to normal on my sleep as well).
I also typed up my birth story if any one is interested

Nickers, how are you hon? Did you both get some sleep last night? Hope things improved. I hate over-tiredness, it's so frustrating when they're exhausted but too worked up to settle.
Peanutter, sorry you had a rough night. Did the little man behave himself in the wee hours? As for poosplosions, W has had two already today - one up the back, one up her stomach. Poor thing (and ew).
Skye, I saw on FB that Miss A enjoyed her first shower!
zilly, great birth story - thanks for sharing.
Elocin, any sleep for you? Fingers crossed you get a nap in today.
Hello to the other ladies.
W was up on and off between 3:00 and 6:30, feeling a bit rough but not too bad. Unsettled again this morning, so hard to get her down after the first change and play as she's super-alert and the smallest thing seems to wind her up. Napping now thankfully. Might try putting her in the HAB as much as I can, that might keep her calm perhaps...?
Any tips, or is it a pretty standard newborn/developmental thing? My sleepy 3-hour nap baby is gone!
Buffy - how old is miss w now? Not sure of you have a copy or habe read about it but there's a 'wonder week' around 5 weeks & then another at 8 weeks i think. If you havent heard of it there's a few threads on bb & also a bit of info if you google but it's to do with developmental leaps & how babies can go through rough patches as they have a leap.
Sounds like a few ppl have had rough nights, hope you get a chance to catch up a little soon.
Sorry fir the lack of personals - im on my phone (again!).
Had our 4 week mchn appt yesterday - keeley has put on just over 400g in 2 weeks & is now a little over 4.7kg. She's going pretty well & is good about sleeping in the bassinet at night but prefers to be held during the day. We took her to the footy on wed & i stood for the whole game with her in the close carrier. She slept for practically the whole game. Much easier than taking a toddler

buffy our carrier was a godsend with izzy
 skye i think i just have little porkers - corey was exactly the same - put on weight like nothing else & then once he started crawling he started to slim down. Both kinda tall too - that they definitely dont get from me!!

Hi Ladies
Just had our last visit with our midwife :(bit sad after being with her with all three girls I probably wont see her again. Good news is Helena is gaining weight well and has put on 800g in the last 3.5 weeks and is now 5.035kg little chubba. She behave well last night at the thermomix demo and slept through a lotof noise but was really unsettled last night and only cat napped from 2.30-7.30 am so I have got a bunch of DVD's to veg out and watch today
Sloane sounds like Keely is doing well, great gains
Buffy hope W settles better for you today, H had a bad night again last night FX for a better night for everyone tonight
peanutter hope you got your wish and DS slept through
hi guys,
well Ryker must have worn himself out as after his 730pm feed (and finally sleeping at 8.30 since awake at .330pm) he slept till 1am, took till 230 to get him back down though then woke at 5am, had cuddles with me till6am.
pretty tired today ds1 had soccer at 8am, i didnt go but used the opp to clean the house a bit with dh and big boys out for 1.5hrs (and Ryker asleep)
then i took ds1 to a bday party and Ryker with me, the school mums all got clucky and had cuddles so i had a nice chat and coffee :)
come home and i had a few girlfriends and their kids over last one left at 5pm.
not doing anything tomorrow and looking forward to a pretty lazy day.
so far Ryker has been much settled today, but i am begining to wonder if he is getting reflux too. he is back arching, fist clenching and screaming when being put down...
trying to express in between feeds when u have a bub u cant put down is a challenge thats for sure...
peanutter how did u go overnight? sorry to hear you had a rough night like us
Sara and sloane wow both your bubs are piling on the grams hey well done :)
a week ago ryker was 4.1kg
Babies are chubbing up! I love the little thigh rolls.
Sloane, glad Keeley enjoyed the footy in her carrier. W is five weeks tomorrow, just did some googling about wonder weeks and it sounds about right. It's so hard to let go and ride things out, especially for a control freak like me!
Skye, thanks for the tip.
Sara, sending dreamy vibes for you and H tonight.
Nickers, sorry to hear Mr R might have reflux. When's your next check with him? Wow, he must have been exhausted last night with that big sleep.
Evening to the other ladies.
so we were back up at 2am, and he fed until 3am, then I pumped until 3.30 - then he slept until 10am!! 10am!!! He started crying and fussing around 6am, but DH was convinced he was just wanting company, and so he just popped him in bed with us - and he was out like a light!
and for reasons unknown to us, DS1 slept soundly until then too!!
wtf??
but I'm not complaining. best sleep I've had in a while! I slept from 3.30 til 6am, then woke up briefly around 7.30am and 9am, but basically only enough to notice my boobs were very full, roll over into a more comfortable position, and quietly pass out again ...
I even went to the gym today, and did some housework.
I totally rock.
8 week checkup on Thursday - my first day back at work, so DH will be taking him ... I reckon he's close to 6kgs, he's put so much weight and size!! at his 4 week check up, he'd already gone over his birth weight by a bit, and was up to about 4.6kg, so we'll see what he is now ... but he's well into 000s.
will catch up properly soon!!
Awesome peanutter!! You must feel like a new woman!
Hi girls,
Am on my phone so just wanted to check in quickly...
C must have worn himself out yesterday... He slept from 3pm-6pm, 8.30pm-1.30am and then from 2am-5.30am. And he slept for another 3 hours this afternoon!
He's had a massive feed and is just about asleep on me now so I have everything crossed for another good night!
These bubs are definitely chubbing up! I love it!! C has the most gorgeous wee fat rolls on the back of his neck. I love sticking my nose in them!!
Peanutter, you do rock babe!!
LCT, the pain I still get is just below my scar... I think it's the skin pulling.
Buffy, how are you and the fabulous Miss W doing today?
Big hugs and lots of love all around xo
