Hi guys,
Sararose – Sorry to hear about your Grandad :comfort: Gosh, as a group we have lost many special people over the past year, very sad. Hope you are on the mend from the germs - thanks H for giving mum a bit of extra sleep and recovery. Thanks for the PP tip-off btw, I got Yves some warm things for winter and free shipping was extra nice!
Buffy – hope you don’t mind but I got one of those adorable white bear suits, they were only $20! Willow looked so breathtakingly cute in hers, I couldn’t resist.
Bummer, was going to try and catch up with everyone but I can tell Yves is not keen to stay still for long… in fact, I smell poo
Will be back when he sleeps x

oh better check the PP sale out thanks.
what a clever girl Helena is giving mummy a big rest like that!
had a shocker this morn, dropped ds1 off, then ds2, then have 30min to burn b4 mums group starts so i got a coffee, some money out, handed church stuff in re: rykers baptism. casually go into MG, ryker starts stirring, get the ebm out and i forgot to put the teet on the bottle.........
so i had to do the mad dash home about 3-4min drive each way, ran to and from the car (i left ryker with mchn and all the group. race back in all stressed and flustered and cheeky monkey is blisfully unaware and back asleep in the pram!!
all after i did washing, dishwasher lunches last night so i had less to do this morning and i still stuffed up....
Miss E glad your appt went well and u got the green light. i need to go to the gym but when??? mornings unless i go at 4am i dont think i have time, evenings not while ryker is a fuss pot its too hard with him, dinner, kids bed time etc. maybe during the day but i dont wanna put him in ther creche so soon esp getting to winter when all the germs are about....maybe i have to stick to walks for now orsome work out dvd's at home on bad weather days.
gotta (well want to) loose 10kg to get back to my pre children weight and weight i was when we got married

Hi girls,
Sarah, I'm so sorry for your loss hun
I hope the sickness leaves soon! What an awesome sleep from H! That's great!
Peanutter, you are freaking super woman. I don't know how you do it.
Buffster, I hope you and W are having a relaxing day!
You are absolutely not a crap mum!! These babies just like to keep us guessing... Next week it will be something different - that's what I keep telling myself! It's so hard not to stress about it isn't it?
Miss E, sorry to hear Cooper had a bad day. Glad your appt went well! I really need to start exercising, I miss walking of an afternoon but it's hard when DH doesn't get home until late.
Contraception? Condoms at the moment, but I'm considering mini pill. Things are still quiet painful and condoms don't help the situation at all.
The night before last, we had our first sleep through at night (9pm-4.30) and last night was horrendous so I guess it evens out huh?
Self settling during the day has gone out the window the last few days, I'm not sure why. Any tips?
It's taken me about 3 hours to type this so a big hello to anyone I've missed :heartbeat:
-
:redface:oh geez...have just gone a bit crazy on pumpkin patch
elocin - not sure re-self settling except that K is the same & DS was worse! i feel like as they become more alert, they want more comfort, itms?
gym - i actually left them both in the creche (well it's not really a creche, they just offer childminding for 2 classes a week) but only because it's a small gym & i know everyone that works there & i trust the person in the creche 100%. plus aside from my 2, there were only 2 other children. that & i can see right in there the whole time. i wondered if i was being heartless but i went with my gut instinct.
hi to everyone else - had hoped to do more persies but it's feed time! hopefully back later
-
My bestie just had a baby girl. She sent me a photo and she's just lovely.
And then I look at my big boofer and can't even remember him being that little!
-
Oh, great news Nic!
They do grow too fast... I just gave Yves a bath in the tub and he barely fits now - I remember when he looked so tiny in there, and he is not even 7 weeks yet. Slow down kiddo!
-
I've only just stopped crying, I'm so happy for her. She had a really **** time over the past few years... Sexually abused by her stepdad, physically abused by her then-partner, lost her mum to breast cancer. And now she has the most beautiful little girl in her arms... Gah, waterworks have started again!!
I know LCT, I can't believe how quickly it's going! These kids are growing too quickly!!
-
Oh wow, that's extra special, the healing power of a bubba. I hope she has some good support also?
You use an Ergo sometimes Nic - can you get it on by yourself? If so, any tips? I have had to resort to using the Bjorn for walks past few days, as I haven't been able to get the back clip of Ergo fastened. I am such a gumby with carriers, so want to use them but I think I am just scared of freaking Yves out with my fumbling.
-
She has some great support from her hubby's family and some friends that live close by.
I've been using the Ergo daily an it's become much easier. Practice around the house hun... I didn't use it for ages because I either couldn't get the strap done up or Connor would scream whenever I put it on.
My only tip is to loosen the back strap as much as you can. It's hard to reach with your left hand, but don't give up on it hun, it really does get easier. I can now put it in by myself at the shops and have total success. Although last week, we were out walking and I had to take it off and DH put it on and carry him because I couldn't get comfortable and C was howling so it is still hit and miss.

wodnerful news on your BFF hun
-
that's fantastic elocin. i hope having a baby is healing & rewarding for your bff xx

they sure do grow too quick, we have 2 baby baths, ine was given to us but its just for wee little bubs, ryker is already too big for it and now onto the other bath we have. congrats to your gf on the birth of her baby girl!!
-
Elocin what wonderful news for your friend!
Helena was a bit out of sorts today, not as awake as normal and she even slept for an 1.5hrs this arvo which is unheard of after lunch for her. Not sure what it was but she is now bright and chatty after her bath, hopefully she isnt coming down with our cold. Well after putting that info up about Pumpkin Patch my internet connection died and I lost the shopping basket, wondering if it wa a warning not to buy anything lol. Im still feeling ordinary but hoping this bug is on its way out soon. We are all going to the museum tomorrow for a day out dd1 is super excited.
Ive started back on weight watcher again, I did it when I was younger and kept the weight off for 5 years then after having both girls I did it again, and managed to lose the weight so fingers crossed I can stick to it this time and have a good result. 15kgs to lose though to get back to the weight I was when I met my DH, might take a while

Elocin, amazing sleep through! Clever, clever little lad. How was your Friday? RE: self-settling, snap; and velcro baby. I'm hoping it's just a phase and they get better at it with time. Would love to get tips from the other mamas on this too though. Such wonderful news about your friend - she must be over the moon.
Nickers, I can't believe how big Ryker's getting! Such a handsome boy. I agree with you on the cooing in the wee hours - look away, look away! A friend of mine describes it as a business transaction only . RE: contraception, not yet - seeing OB next week. Probably the mini pill but the sooner I can get back onto my old pill, the better. For now my almost total lack of libido is doing a splendid job.
sloane, nice work on getting fit and congrats on the weight loss! How was the gym? Great that there's a creche there.
Miss E, sorry you had such a rough day. Catnaps = cranky babies, not fun. Was today any better? Good to hear the sleeping bag is working, I'm not game to try W without her swaddle as she still has major startle reflex (but should really give it a go soon). Excellent that you've healed so well.
Sararose, how's the germ-a-thon going at your place? Is your cough any better, and how about the girls? Bummer about H's sleep today but good that she's been in a chatty mood this arvo. Wish you hadn't said anything about the Pumpkin Patch sale, I was on the site for ages yesterday and didn't buy anything...but have a big wishlist! Hope WW goes well. We've started Lite & Easy for dinners - both keen to get healthy but also because it's easier having food ready to go if DH is home late and I've had a cruddy day. Been a while since I cooked, I really miss it. Must start getting the carrier out a bit more for hands-free time.
Skye, how are you? Did you end by buying anything??
lct, what's new with Yves, besides out-growing his bath already? Also, how's feeding going these days? Of course I don't mind about the bear suit, every baby should have one I say! Please make sure you put a pic up, I think he'll suit it to a tee.
Evening to the other ladies.
AFM: thanks for the pep talk y'all  W still is being an impossible princess, I'd say she fights most of her day naps now (hard!) but thankfully night time settling is pretty good. I think she's just so much more aware of the world now that she wants to be awake and looking around - she was falling asleep trying to hold her head out of the Hug-a-Bub when we went shopping today, and squawked when I tried to cover her face. Also generally being a bit of a fusspot and hates being laid down in the bassinette, much prefers my arms. Going to have awesome biceps ;)
She's still eating every 2-3 hours around the clock, I rarely get more than two hours between night-time feeds and am thankful DH can help out with a bottle. Will be good when her tummy gets a little bigger. I do wonder though if she really needs the 4:00/5:00 one, as last night she fed for about a minute then snuggled into my chest and promptly fell asleep. I'm certain she got me up for a cuddle!
What's everyone up to this weekend? Any exciting plans? I have a pal coming over for arvo tea tomorrow and then am hanging out with my little bro on Sunday. Maybe a nap too
-
home.
going to eat, watch glee and go to bed.
for a month.
kisses to everyone.
super excited for your friend, nic xx
-
lol did i buy anything?! im the queen of shopping, is why we're poor, but my kids look damn good ;)
Pooper of a day here, we didnt get home from school till 10am and my goodness did this little miss let me know that is NOT to happen again, she's been an absolute PITA!!!!!!!!! lesson learnt, chubs really really needs that morning snooze, only prob is, she generally will sleep till 1ish, and i have to be out of the house by 230, and DD2 goes down at 1 for her nap, so it really leaves no time to do those errands!
-
Hi girls,
just pooping in, I have been reading but not posting due to the craziness of 2 kidlets!
My DD who is 2.5years is having an endoscopy in a month for suspected allergic esophigitis which would have started with a milk protein allergy when I was breastfeeding her. She has had ongoing reflux and was an extremely difficult baby to feed and put to sleep, was always inconsolable crying and screaming. Anyways, after hearing this from the specialist we are trying to wean my ds (which is hard, cause I am a like a cow who could feed quads as I have such a huge supply) onto a hypoallergenic formula you get on prescription called neonate. He is nowhere near as unsettled as my dd, but I am finding myself getting into a panic and I do not want to go down the same path with DS as what we have endured with DD. I am really upset about stopping breastfeeding and feel a lot of guilt, but I also feel guilt for not stopping breastfeeding with my DD sooner as she would not have been in so much pain!
Anyways, getting lots of smiles from DS which is just lovely!!
