Yay for big sleepies buffy!! you're not an over anxious parent, A is my fourth and we have a no cry policy in my house, drives my mum mad! as soon as she grizzles she's tended to, unless either DF or i literally cant get to her, even then we do our best to make sure she doesnt start the hysterical cry.But accourding to mum we dont need to rush to her, um well mum im sorry but if you were feeling vulnerable and sad wouldnt you want a cuddle!? ppftt

Elocin, naughty monkey, hope he gives you some good naps today to make up for a pitiful night. Im so glad i just pull A into bed and 'flop out a tit' as DF says! its waaaay to cold to be getting up in the middle of the night here!

A is a monkey, i feel like such a tool getting worried about her eyes, all she needed was time, she starting to really engage with people now DF had his first 'moment' with her the other night where she was smiling at him without being touched (she always smiles when you clap her hands together for EG) he was so so stoked. and last night she was smiling and talking to mum my for a good 15 minutes, its so funny she can be cranky as but as soon as you say hello to her she starts smiling she melts my heart.

Hope today is kind to you all, bub has been asleep since 930 and still havent done a single thing ah well

H slept for 8 hours again last night which is great I need to start going to bed about the same time though! She is starting to chat and has had a coup,e of tiny giggles, melts my heart. She is at the stage where she is enjoying being on her mat and not being held where as before it was something she only tolerated. Had a massive number three yesterday so had to change all the cot sheets which I'd only done the day before

My sister popped over and H had been lying happily on her play mat for about 20 minutes and I said to my sister she was welcome to have a cuddle as she was probably getting over the mat. Well my poor sister picked her up said hello for H to scream blue murder at her! I had to settle H? Hopefully she will be better behaved on Saturday night as my sis and her DH are babysitting all three kids while we are going to a 30th. Luckily the party is really close and I can come back and bf if I need to. Exciting news my sister is going through IVF and getting a transfer Friday so Im gonna have everything crossed for her

Skye- glad to hear A is interacting more and looking at people. always the way though, we worry and then they go an start doing it as if they were waiting for us to worry first!
Nic- i hope you get through the weekend ok with SIL, are they staying with you? i imagine it must be hard for her to see you with a bub when they are trying, but considering you guys went through ivf aswell she should understand you have been exactly where she is in wanting a bub.

AFM- 2 nights ago R fed at 8pm then not till 4am! so stoked i was at him going 8hrs last night i fed him an hour later so 9pm hoping he might go till 5am, but not so lucky, fed him an hour later but he woke an hour earlier at 3am! so he has been pretty consistant with 6hrs but now i know he can do 8hrs i hope he can do it again soon!
big day today, after getting everyone out the house by 845am 5 of us school mums had coffee after drop off, it was nice but i had to leave them to go to mums group. i decided to walk instead of driving as it was only 1km from where i was. then on the walk back i decided i would keep walking home rather than to the car and then home so i walked 2.5km home. i was home with enough time to feed again, express and put the slow cooker on and then off we went again back up to school another 1km to go to ds1 school assembly. they have it every week but i havent gone before, was so happy i did cause he got an award then i left school to go pick ds2 up, then back to school, fed R while waiting for the bell, home for an hour now we have to go to soccer training....
so far on my pedometre i have walked over 12,000 steps!

I've got a burning sensation in my right boob, a bit of a graze on the underside and some all white spots on the nip.

Pain seems to be getting worse as the night goes on and was really bad under the shower as well.

They're not itchy at all...

are they more red than normal? mine go really hard too and itchy a day or so later, bit of bruising type pain when A first attaches.

i dont know whether to shout from the roof tops or cry right now. put A on her belly for her massage after her shower and the little turkey rolled over, thought hmm just a fluke, put her back on her belly and over she went again!! she did it about 5 times before she got cranky with me! my goodness, im not ready for her to be moving!!!

E, does C have any white spots on his lips or gums (not milk residue)? That might confirm thrush. Also could you chat to your local ABA rep or MACH nurse perhaps? Is there an early childhood drop-in centre you could go to? Ouch, sounds painful love

Sararose, H continues her sleep-a-thon, great stuff. Not so great on the #3, lucky you. Shame she freaked out earlier with your sis, did she re-settle ok?

W chatted and cooed to me for 15 minutes straight this arvo - smiled when I smiled, raised her brow when I did and reached out towards bb! It was so beautiful, what a mummy moment!

No white spots in C's mouth. Pain has subsided over night and there is no burning sensation anymore. Weird... Will keep an eye on it and call the GP if it flares up again today.

SaraRose, oh your poor sister!! I hope H settled ok! The same thing happened to DSD1 the other day when she got C out of the bouncer... Funny babies!

Skybie, I can't believe A is rolling! I rolled C the other day and he freaked out and started crying!

Nic, 12,000 steps is impressive!

We've entered day 3 of no poo so am slightly concerned about when it happens! DH asks every time I speak to him 'has he done it yet?'... He's hoping C will do it when he's at work!!

Better night here last night... 8-5.30 with one wake up. Feeling much more human today x

Glad pain is easing up dude. Maybe he chomped down a bit too hard? Fantastic sleep too, what a relief. You need all the rest you can get before 'family day'. PS re: poop, day 2 here. Could be a change in routine, or if he's been unwell...? Might also be conserving all that milky goodness for growth if you're in a wonder week...? Just speculating here, who knows

Day 3 of baby rehab started with a bang - only one wakeup between 8:00 and 5:00 here too, then a sleep-in til 8. Holy bright eyes batman! Fed, spewed, chatted to bbs and the curtains and went back down at 9:00 with - get this - shhhh and my voice only. I can't tell you how huge this is. And she's SO vocal, the nurses can't believe it! About to head out for a walk with the other baby rehab mums.

DS2 woke up for a feed at 1am (rather cheeky, given that I gave him a big feed around 10pm!) but instead of letting DH do a bottle of EBM like normal, I must have been half asleep, as I looked at my clock and specifically saw that it was 5am - meaning my turn, as I have to get up and feed and pump then anyway, to get to work on time.

I must have been asleep still and dreamed I looked at the clock, because it was only 1am ... boo!

Meaning that by the time I fed fully (and we both kept on falling asleep while I was doing it) it was 3am ... double boo ...

And in my sleep deprived state, I decided it would be a good idea to turn my alarm off ... triple boo!!

So I didn't get up until 7am when DS2 wanted his next feed! I'm normally on my way to work by then! Not starting a feed, and then needing to pump, pack and get dressed!!!

So I was about 2.5 hours LATE to work. Not good, when your junior has a court appearance they're relying on your assistance to get prepped for (I was able to do phone conference, with a bit of face to face when I arrived, and she's been sent off and is going to be ok, I am sure) and when you have an URGENT URGENT URGENT advice to do today (as in, it was requested late yesterday arvo, and it has a 24 hours window on it ... so it just has to be done, and there's no one else who can do it ...)

So I guess I'll make a hot drink, express, and then do this advice ...

But I kind of just want to crawl under my desk and have a nap instead ... unfortuntely, that is not my job.

Sad face.

But there's a BB meet up tonight (anyone in Melbourne? let me know if you wanna come!!!) and then the W.E.E.K.E.N.D. Hell yeah.



thrush: we had this once with DS1 - nipples were super itchy, and a little stingy ... DS1's mouth on the inside looked odd, like the skin was peeling a little? we got the daktarin stuff that you put a blob on your nipples, and let them suck it off and drink it with their milk ... it was gone pretty quickly, and never came back. HTH.

poo: DS1 has gone up to 10 days without pooing. MHCN said this isn't an issue as long as they're still weeing frequently, they're not straining trying to poo, and it's been less then 14 days.

FFS i am OVER sickness..... Nixon was up vomitting 4 times last night...i heard yesterday 5 kids out of 20 in his class were off sick spewing and it started with 1 girl earlier in the week whos parents still sent her to school after vomitting, makes me so mad.....she is an only child, dont worry about all of us with siblings who no doubt will get it. ive since heard (via text) 3 other poor kids were also up spewing last night, so that makes about 11 out of 20 kids that i know of.
we had spag bol for dinner then Nix had a chocolate yogo, so u can imagine the chunder in the bed OMG gross...(thankfully dh got the clean up job while i had R lol!! on a good note Ryker slept from last feed at 9pm till 450am
you should see my washing i do enough as is let alone all this extra from sickness. poor N had tried to clean himself up but therefore wiped his mess all over everyones bathroom towells and left pcs on the bathroom floor!! and poor teddy got a smothering too......

Nickers, how's Nix feeling today? Any better? I agree, sending crook kids to school isn't on. My SIL is a teacher and it's one of her biggest bugbears. Great night for Mr R, did you get a repeat last night?

Elocin, hooray for poo! I can't believe I just said that we had two code browns this morning as well, finally. Is C's cold almost gone? I was thinking it could be another excuse to skip tomorrow's torture but he seems to be getting better!

Skye, A is so clever and such a happy bub. Great that she's engaging with her eyes too, you must be relieved. Bet you wish she'd stop growing though!

Hello to the other ladies.

W a bit unsettled late yesterday with catnaps etc but I think that's just her pattern at that time of day; as long as we get some good morning sleeps she seems more able to cope with the witching hours. Only one wake up 11:00pm-6:00am and then gave mama an extra sleep-in 7:30-9:00. Spent 10 mins chatting to the sink, so funny. Last day in rehab - raining and very wintery outside, so definitely a quiet one on the couch. I really hope we can keep up the good work at home.., fingers crossed...

Nickers- Hope N is feeling better, you guys have had such a rough run with illness these last few months sureely your luck will have to change soon. I agree sending sick kids to school is not on, especially when its something as contagious as gastro. Apparently it went through half of DD's class last week but we seem to have missed out for once. When we all had colds aparently 2 days that week there were litterally half the students away ill

Mylitta loved your smily feeding photo on FB, I love it when thye do that. H has started doing big smiles before latching on the second side, the first side she acts like I have been starving her for days and its like a shark going in for the kill the way she is so intent on getting a feed!

Peanutter boo for being late! Helena woke this morning and I was convinced it was 2am, no double checked the clock and it was 6.17 I just didnt feel like I'd got enough sleep! How was your BB meet up? Did you have a late one?

AFM Helena seems to have mastered sleeping through, she generally sleeps 8hrs+ and is slowly going to bed a bit later and getting up at a more reasonable hour. This week the little munchkin slept so well I had to get up to start getting ready for school drop off etc before she woke up! Off to my friends 'Glitter and Glamour' themed 30th tonight. Skye I have been practising with the bottle warmer and think I have it down pat so I can show my sis how to use it tonight, thanks so much!

Had to DD2 off for picking her nose yesterday, the little grot then tried using another two fingers until I had to specifically so not to put ANY fingers up there! No wonder we all get sick when the kids are ill!

My sister sent me a pic of the embryo they had transferred yesterday, amazing that they potentially may have such an early picture of their possible baby. We joked that it looked mor like her than her DH, I have my fingers, toes, arms, legs and everything else crossed it works for them. She was happy as apparently the embryo had started to grow pretty much straight away in the lab after it was defrosted. She is now having acupuncture adn following lots of different advice in the hopes it sticks.
