 Well done Nutter. Sounds like a real positive step in the right direction on all counts. I hope it continues that way for you! :leap:
thanks :)
ok, so Joshua had a GREAT first birthday :D DH and I were busy pretty much all week, because we were involved in an anti human trafficking campaign, but we brought DS along to most of it, and arranged for family and friends to babysit him and another baby (the daughter of another couple involved).
But on the actual day, we went to the baby library group and then out to lunch with my parents, and then to the pool, all of which he *loved*
:loveshower:
and I was getting a little bit excited that we might have #2 on the way ... I ovulated, we DTD, and then yesterday and the day before there were very tiny amount of old brown blood, suggesting implantation ... but no.
today though AF has arrived, so no BFP for me just yet ... maybe next cycle?
hope you're all well :grouphug:
Just want to share some love in here xxxxx that is all xxxx
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk so sorry for mistakes!!
Yay for the love sharing Yules! :)
Logan has been driving me crazy the past few days, very grizzly and can't be more than a meter away from me or his little world ends! It's very nice to be so loved and wanted but my god I'd like to pee in peace!!! :) I think the poor little guy is teething, the amount of drool coming from his mouth is just not normal! Bibs are our new fashion accessory at the moment, thank god we have bundles left over from James coz he's going through them faster than I can wash!
On the dad front it's all chugging along. He had his second round of chemo yesterday (this was the 3hr one that they reckon will knock him around a bit). Damn, if this one is going to knock him around he's going to be a nightmare! Before each bout of chemo they give him dexi's through an iv. I think it acts as an anti-inflamatory and anti-nausea but god it makes him cranky for a few days after! I'm giving mum a break this morning and taking dad out to the fruit and vege market / shopping etc... She's going to get her hair done and spend some time with my sister who's due with her first bub in 3 days! Very exciting!
To give you an idea of dad being dad this is what this morning entails. He wants to be at the farmers market at 8am. It opens at 8am, and when things open is when you need to be there, not 5mins after but right on the dot! It's 15mins from their house so he's already called me to make sure I'm there at 7:30am just in case I might need to go to the toilet or say hi to mum before we go coz we can't be late! Personally, I don't really think the market people will care if the old man with no hair in a tracky is late but apparently they do! After the markets we drive another 15mins in the other direction to go to Coles. Now there are Coles closer to where they live but this one has the best bread rolls so this is where we have to go! Back towards there house, past there house and to another shop to buy some mince. Mince, one would think, can be bought at any major supermarket, if you want the good stuff you buy the 5 star mince right? Wrong! The IGA past there house in the other direction has the best mince! Then it's off to Garden City (major shopping centre) to go to the Reject Shop. Yes, there are others of these along the way as well but this one has the best rice crackers and might just have something different in it he wants but doesn't know it until he sees it! By this time it's mid morning so parking is a pain in the butt but rather than take the first park you see he has a certain area of the shopping centre he likes to park in so I get to do laps round and round until someone leaves so we park in the right spot! Again, I'm pretty sure Garden City management don't give two hoots where we park but it's very important in dads world to park in the right spot!!!! Give me strength! I have a travel mug that will be FILLED with coffee and then re-filled at every opportunity to get me through the morning! My poor mother does this every weekend plus whenever he wants to go to the shops during the week. There's 7 weeks to go until he gets the all clear from brain sugery so he can drive again, although not sure if he will or not coz he's so tired and wrecked from the chemo I don't know if he'd have it in him to drive long distances.
Anyway, thanks for listening / reading my whinge, best I get my behind off here, shower, make my giant mug of coffee, kiss my sleeping kids and husband and be on my way!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
xx
Love ya right back, Yules!
Doodle - oh my gooseberries. you're amazing - I don't know how you're keeping yourself all in one piece. Mega  and unfortunately, there is no emoticon for taking my hat off to you. Here's a ninja instead (when in doubt, ninja it out, I say!!)
:ninja:
I hope Logan's clingy phase ends soon. Joshua is going through one too, which is bizzarre, because I'm normally at work all day! I'm on hilidays at the moment, but I really hope he doesn't crack it when I go back on Monday ...
And I'm so sorry to hear about your dad ... I know it's not the same, but I watched my best friend go through treatment and surgeries etc for cancer when we were teenagers, and it's just brutal. And the crankypants - I get it. She would be a complete b!!ch sometimes. I'd go to visit her (which given I was 18 with no car was a friggen hassle) and she wouldn't talk to me, or she'd be rude, and then she'd look at me and ask me if I was done, and order me out! It wasn't her, it was the meds. But it was awful, and really hard to consistently be the bigger person. Obviously she was the one with cancer, not me, but ffs I was hurting too! I didn't expect her to comfort me of course, but it is hard to catch and comfort all those around when you're in pain and scared and upset and have no idea what's going to happen ... I really feel for you, babe :comfort:
afm - I've received written confirmation from the HSC that they've referred my complaint to the hospital, so we'll see what response they get, and when. At the moment, I'm enjoying my weekend, as my leave ended yesterday, so I'm back at work on Monday :( I don't want to go!! I love my job, but I'm only now in the mindset of "oh, I'm on holidays!" so I have hardly touched all the things I wanted to do while on leave! Boo :(
Emotionally, I'm still a bit of a wreck, but my counsellor is good, and so I'm really feeling a little bit positive that I'm going to get through this.
And Joshua as ever is delightful - walking more confidently (though still not more than about 10 steps at a time) and babbling away in his own language (he has about 12 words, but he uses them really sparingly) and still working on tooth #4.
That's us!
Doodie - you're amazing! What a driving trek! Perth is too spread out for that!! Big huge hugs honey.
Peanutter - so glad you've enjoyed your holidays.... And about your response for hospital stuff.... Go get 'em! What happened with the modelling!?
Darcie is also megga clingy.... Does my head in.... Especially as we are still co-sleeping. I'm thinking about getting her a bed asap. Anyone else getting their littlies into a bed early?
Better go... Been up since 5am (thanks max) and have been relegated to the bedroom as dh us watching his collingwood game... It must be a ripper, I can hear him snoring!!

Hi Ladies!
Sorry have been awol for a little bit. Everything is going well here.
Nutter, glad to hear your matter has been referred to the hospital, maybe they'll pay more attention with it coming from the HSC. Sounds like Josh is doing well. Clingy sucks but the cuddles are nice :-)
Doodles, you are amazing! I hope your morning out with your Dad went well & the kids had fun at home with Daddy. I am sure your mum would have loved to have the morning off too.
Yules, how is everyone going over there? We already have a bed here for Alyssa & it will only be a matter of time till moving her over. I was thinking maybe around 18mths, but we'll just play it by ear. My SIL gave us one of those rails for the side of the bed yesterday so that is all taken care of too.
Alyssa is very much a Daddy's girl at the moment. Nice for me to get some breaks!! Poor Daddy's back isn't coping so well but I think he is secretly loving it. We went to see SIL & her 2 boys yesterday and the 3 kids had so much fun together playing soccer & games. Alyssa was absolutely exhausted and went to sleep at 615 last night. I thought for sure we'd be up early after that but she made it through to almost 5am. Not much else happening here. Alyssa is into [I]everything[I] and so I am spending what feels like forever saying no & picking up after her. Oh well its all in fun & learning! Take care all and I hope you're having a good one. xo
Hey Everyone!
What's happening out there? Has anyone else's LO's started "mini tantrums"? My goodness, Alyssa has had a few corkers this week. She closes her eyes & squints them all up, then stands or sits there pretending to cry until she gets attention. I didn't click at first so kept picking her up for a cuddle. Now I'm onto it, its a bit of tough love I'm afraid. She seems to be learning pretty quickly though that she won't get attention that way.
Hope you are all going well & hear from you soon. xo
PETA you just described how Darcie us to a tee! She covers her face with her hands for extra dramatic effect.... Look out for her on the big screen!!
Hope all is well out there. Darcie has just got over tonsillitis. I think it was coming for a while. Hallelujah the clingy has died down a little!

Hi everyone!
Gosh I had so much to read lol!!!
I'm still struggling with a 2 year old and 1 year - old crazy busy. Both chucking the most beautiful tantrums and sleep? What's that? I am stuffed but hanging in there.
E xxx
Peta - wow! what a bright little bunny she is, getting into manipulative tantrums so young! I hope she cottons on to the fact that she can't pull the wool over your eyes!
Yules - ditto, girlfriend! Sounds just adorable, though ... just don't let her hear that ;) But Darcie Elizabeth ... maybe she'll get a role in Pride and Prejudice later :happydance: Boo for tonsilitis, though :(
Ellie - howdy!! hope you're well ... hang in there!
afm - I'm 30! just had my birthday. had a great time, and am looking forward to a fantastic decade. Joshua is walking, talking and being completely delightful! he had a nasty fever for a couple of days after his 12 month immunisations, but otherwise we're going great guns.
the hopsital haven't responded to the health services commissioner. their lack of response to me (and now the HSC) is s just making it so much worse for me. but we'll get there.
we're also TTC and so I'm back onto the OPKs ... wish me luck!
Good luck Nutter & Mister!! Looking forward to hearing good news.
Ellie - hopefully sleep will soon become a beautiful thing for yourself & your two!
Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend. The temp's have sure dropped for Qld now. Down to 4 tonight!! Needless to say I have the heaters set to a toasty 20 degrees. Not fond of cold.
Better go, Alyssa is not sleeping well tonight, another tooth coming I think. I hope that's all it is anyway, I really don't want her to be sick again. xo
 peta - I hope so too, for you!
Joshie is working on his 5th tooth, I think ... lots of drool, and chewing on everything he can get his hands on!
Well as those of you on FB will know, 1am was finally sleep time last night for the little miss. We took her to the Zoo today (Australia Zoo - 15mins from home!) and it was great. Took so many photo's & had such a great day. I can't wait till she's a bit older to understand a bit more, but she still patted a crocodile, wombat, koala & kangaroos. She saw heaps of other animals too.
Sharon, hope you have enjoyed your day to yourself & didn't get too tied up with housework.
Till next time xo
Nutter - happy 30th love! Did you have a celebration? I think Darcie is working on tooth 5,6,7 and 8..... Eh gad!
Ellie - hand in there honey. You can do it!
Peta - saw your fb status and pics of the zoo..... Aly is so cute, love the pic of the two of you. Hope the sleeping is just a mall hiccup and nothing more.
Shaz - saw that Logan had a reason behind his sleep issue.... hooray for mummy instinct! How is your sister and her new bub, and your dad.
Afm - starting to enjoy our days now. Playing guitar hero with max then going to make banana muffins in a mo.... Just one more white stripes song to go!
Hugs girls xxxx

yes I did - I had a big party with friends (maybe 50?) and we went to this chinese restaurant i nthe 'burbs where they do decent food and GREAT kareoke and we had a complete blast, singing and dancing until the wee hours!
hmmm ... facebook ... I'm probably ready to start blurring the line a little bit between BB and FB ... if you are happy for me to "friend" you, PM me ... it's a big step and I've been super cautious about privacy and particularly being embarrassed about the fistula, but I have now met to other Moll-burnians, and feel like I've got to know you girls in here well enough that I'd be ok to share a bit more ... no pressure, but if you're cool with it, pm me your real name, and I'll send an invitation ...
