I'm waiting for my written acceptance from ths hospital, and I'll go from there. But I'm thinking an early will be a good idea!
considering a three week window is a really big deal, IMHO.
Nutter - dumb question, but how come the c-section has to be done at 38 weeks, and why do need written acceptance from the hossy? Sorry if I've missed something.
Please try not to worry. I know you have your reasons coz of your ds birth, but would hate to see your anxiety cause any issues iykwim.
I know it's hard babe, just be kind to yourself. Pay for an early dating scan if you have to, like Ellie suggested.

Yules - not dumb questions at all.
I have to have a c-section because labour would place too much strain on the repair and fistula area, and it could all tear open again.
C-sections for reasons like that generally are done around 38 weeks, to avoid risking you going into spontaneous labour, and the tearing or whatever happening. Because it's a second baby and they can come so quickly, they won't want to risk it.
And I need written acceptance from the hosptial because I absolutely refuse to go back to the hosptial where Joshua was born - I can't even drive past it without getting anxious angry and upset. I can't possibly go back there as a patient. And the other hospital in my catchment won't take righ risk patients - they're supposed to go to the one I was at last time!
So I've had to get a referral and get accepted to another hospital outside of my catchment, which takes high risk patients like me.
But I got written confirmation yesterday, which is good. My first appointment is on 9 August.
I am doing what I can to try to reduce my anxiety - I've been having extra appointments with my counsellor, and I'm also trying to eat better, because there's so many connections between our eating and our feelings, so I'm working on that too. I'm also thinking that now that I know I'm accepted to another hospital, that should reduce some stress levels... I just really want the complaints procedure over, so I know that I've finished that chapter, IYKWIM.
Then I can assess all of the fall out, and go forwards from there.

Oh Nutter that's great news about your acceptance to the hospital but gosh Hun you have lots going on - hope the complaints process ends quickly so you can focus on the exciting months ahead xxx
Self absorbed question - how many sleeps are bubs having a day? Miss T is having 2 most days but morning sleeps is getting later and later but then she needs another just before dinner ... I can't remember what I did last time to transition to one sleep?
Ellie, are you on fb? We have a little private group on there where the exact thing came up the other day.
Darcie only has 1 sleep a day. Today she crashed at 10am...... Too early. It's now 5pm, dinner time and she is buggered. I've been trying to stretch out her morning sleep to a sleep just after lunch. It's hard to get her there, but have to distract her to do it. It works much better, so long as max doesn't wake her.

Well my little rollercoaster called life just keeps getting more and more interesting!
Logan has always fallen over when he's been walking, when he was crawling he was nicknamed 'wombat' because he would literally put his head down, square his shoulders and he was off, never mind anything or anyone that was in his way! LOL! It was very cute!
Now though, all the falling over is not so cute and a couple of weeks ago I had a really good look and it looked like his right foot was turning out and kind of being dragged when he walked. Bugger! Off to my trusty chiro who I love to pieces. A very gentle guy with 3 kids of his own. Used to neurotic mothers, used to kids etc... :) Anyway, Dr Luke checked him out and commented that his pelvis must be way out of whack as his right leg is 2cm longer than his left!!!!! Wow!!!! Do the adjustment, Logan screams through it :( take him home, seems to be an improvement. All is well again. Go back a few days later for the follow up, back to falling over again now but not quite as much, another adjustment, more screaming, 3rd appt booked for another 4 days time. He wants to keep on top of this and keep an eye on what's happening. 3rd appt on the Wed, Logan screams blue murder again, I KNOW the 'clicky thing' they use doesn't hurt but it's killing me listening to him sob like this. It's only for a couple of minutes but boy, he doesn't cry this hard when he falls over and hits his head! :)
At this appt Dr Luke mentions that his leg is quite out again, I ask him about the foot turning out as well, he says this is more likely to come from the hip not the pelvis and as Logan was so upset he doesn't want to do another adjustment right then but make another appt for a weeks time and he'll make a note to have a look at his knee and ankle first to see if that's the cause or if it is hip.
Now it's Thursday, we went to a friends farm all day, Logan was outside, uneven grass, paddock, lots of falling over, I thought it was only natural, grassed areas where animals have been trampling isn't the most stable. Home for a quick nap (5mins!!!!), then he was up, within about 10mins of him being up my heart sunk, he was worse than before with the falling over. Phoned the chiro, they said come down and see a diff dr. Saw this lady when we got there, Logan just loved her!!!! No crying! She didn't use the 'clicky thingy', just pressure with her hands. She watched him walk before adjusting him, watched him walk after the adjustment and told me she's almost 100% it's a hip problem and she'd really recommend we get a referral to a paed from my gp asap to get moving on it. Crap!!!!
My friend who is a physio has now seen him as well and agrees it's a hip problem.
I have a gp appt booked for Monday to get a referral to an orthopeadic specialist. I had an appt booked for a paed but apparently that isn't what I need and is a waste of an appt. I'm also going to ask my gp for an x-ray referral for Logan as this is the only way for sure they can look at his hip and figure out if it's something serious or it can be managed with physio.
Girls, I have the sinking heart, mummy instinct feeling that physio isn't going to cut it. Worst case scenario Logan has hip displaysia and would have to have an op and a brace. I'm trying so hard not to think of this as an option but it keeps creeping in there.
I feel like the worst mother in the world for not picking up on anything sooner and just laughing at how cute he was learning to walk and falling over all the time. :(
Babe!!! Hugs honey. It's not your fault. Logan was learning to walk.... Of course he would be falling over. I hope it can all become clear very soon. Big big hugs. Wish I was there with you xx

How's everything going? Very happy in this house that there is nothing seriously wrong with Logans hips, still going to see the paed but might put that off for a week or so coz dad has a big appt coming up with the oncologist that I want to go to. We get the results from a ct scan to show whether the chemo is working! Fingers crossed!
Anyway...... I made another appt the other day too.... with my fs!!!! Yup, time to get back on the ttc bandwagon! I've been doing lots of soul searching lately and thinking about life, what's going on in my life, what's the right thing for my immediate family, plus my parents etc... had a chat with hubby and he's keen to try for number 3 so I made the call! I was on the biggest high after making the appointment, I can't wait to start ttc again! The needles, the hormones, the mood swings! hahahaha! Bring it on!!!!! :)
Nutter - I saw your thread on c-sections, I had c-sections with both my boys, both were great experiences and I was holding them within a minute of them being born, they also stayed with me in recovery, were only sent to the nursery once so I could have some sleep but otherwise were with me all the time! The only think I would suggest is if hubby can stay with you the first night or two to help with the lifting of bubs out of the 'bucket' in the middle of the night, saves having to call the nurses. My milk came in on day 5 with both of them, ds1 just didn't take to breastfeeding, ds2 took to it like a duck to water.

I joined in 2009- when i found out i was having my first baby- he was born 8 weeks premature last may 23rd 2010.
And i am now expecting bub no2 in october 2011.... no rest for the wicked they say :)
