    Hi Ladies

BBB - that home buisness sounds like a good idea. I have L booked into daycare on Tuesdays. I have to get another 2 days yet. I go back to work in October. Not that we need the money. I just want to get our FET out of the way FX it works first time lol.

EMC-Men can be totally useless at times. Good on toj for going to the movies. It's great to get out by yourself every now and again.

I'm on my phone so I can't scroll through to see what else you've all said lol.

    Hello everyone,

We are doing great. It has been so hot here this past week (mid 30s)! Amelie has been more thirsty than usual because of the humidity. DS is spending this week at his grandparents' house, it's been great having that time alone with Milly. I do miss DS though.

Good on you BBB for starting your own online business. I would love to do that but i think my German isn't there yet to do it here. I would love to open my own baby store one day, I'm a sucker for new baby products. DH is a purchasing manager, so he could deal with the business side of things. Maybe one day We keep joking about opening up an Australian/English/American bakery.
I am pretty lucky that I am able to be a SAHM. But really I feel like I have no choice in the matter being here. I don't think I would be suited for most jobs here. I do some freelance translating (German-English) when DH's work need some things done. I don't enjoy that at all, but at least it's something.

EMC - bargains! I would love to go op-shopping but they don't really have those here so much. When I travelled to OZ last time I went with DS to get some books. Ended up with about 5, all for 50c each. They looked brand new. Love it.

I love op shopping, there's such a wide range of things, from nearly new to old things as well. If I don't buy anything I find it interesting to think of the previous owners of various things in the shop, if nothing else.

With clothes it's nice to be wearing things that aren't in fashion a bit and mixing and matching with new things.

    Hey everyone,

Sorry I can't stop for long. been really busy lately. This driving half hour each way to school morning and afternoon is taking its toll. very hard to get anything else done. Seen someone mention nappy rash and teething. Just been to the doc today for myself but got bree looked at, she has bad nappy rash, hasn't gone away in about 4 weeks, eased off but not gone, also been fussing with bottles last couple of days, thought about teething, and when I put my finger in her mouth she was chomping on it lol... the doct told me today that she has oral thrush, this is why she is turning her head from side to side during feeding. He suggests I use canestan on her nappy rash. I got her a jolly jumper, she loves it, and she loves chewing on it too lol... anyway I will have to come back later, my ride has arrived... heading out with mum tonight

    Take care...

Just a quickie too. Not much chance to get on here lately as we have all had the flu. I am SOOOO tired right now!

River has been great, getting so big he is almost 7 kilos can you believe it! Time just flies. I just love him at this age, he is cooing and laughing and generally very happy and contented. I think (touch wood) he is over the worst of his tummy troubles so hopefully other than teething and colds, we are in the clear zone. He is much easier to put down for a nap now and will sleep for a few hours in the arvo if he is in the pram or swing (doesnt really like sleeping for too long in the cot though, but I am not too worried). He sleeps from 7pm to 6am waking up for feeds at 12am, then 3am then 6am, but is fairly easy to settle in between. Looking forward to an all night sleep though, the sleep deprivation plus the flu really knocks you about huh?

Ok, sorry no personals, I really want to spend some time responding but gotta go express, then spend some time with DH before hitting the hay at around 8.30 these days just to make up sleep.

Wow GG I totally missed your post!! How did THAT happen?
Jacob is teething, he is not sleeping, I am going insane.. but I posted about that elsewhere.
We are all going up to Sydney next weekend for Fathers day, looking forward to my parents giving me a break
Jacob has booster shots on Monday, I will also get the nurses to check him out regarding his unsettledness last week, some other ladies have suggested he could have an ear infection? Jacob will be weighed at CYH, excited to see what it is as his thighs have gotten really chubby lately!
Dragonbub, glad to hear the flu is passing, hope teething isn't as bad for you as it is for me!

OMG - these few weeks are madness... daughters bday today, celebrated on the weekend, hubby's bday this week, probably celebrate on friday night, sister in law's bday next week... Fathers day too... Arrghhhh... who's idea was this LOL its celebrations for the rest of the year with son, father, and mil's bday all to follow shortly too...

BBB hope you have an awesome time in Sydney you lucky duck... How does Jacob go on the plane? Sorry I haven't caught up with you yet, will contact you in the near future for a catch up had some sh**full news last week... Hope little Jacob is feeling better soon.

We have tried Bree on a few different formulas and have come back to NAN HA... it is so much better for her tiny tummy. It is so soft and fluffy whereas the others are like grains of sand... strange. The others become quite foamy and Bree suffers a bit more with wind, so she is having a lovely nap at the moment after getting back onto Nan, we actually went back to nan before but hubby accidentally bought the wrong formula on the weekend so we thought we would give it a go... Find that she needs to drink lots of water on other formulas but isn't so bothered by it on Nan - lol I typed Nany haha...

If I didn't know any better, I would think that Bree has started teething, but I am not 100%, think it might be her oral thrush that still hasn't gone away. Getting the doc to peak inside her mouth this afternoon while we are there. Nappy rash still wont go away, stubborn.

OMG - the amount of bibs I put on this girl everyday lol... I have 28 bibs and still manage to run out. I am constantly changing them. They get soaking wet from her dribbling constantly.

I sat on the lounge the other night biting Bree's nails back... they had grown too long and I HATE using nail clippers, tried it once with my eldest, never again. Hubby tried it and he refuses to use them ever again, so last option was to bite them, I sat for about an hour and a half biting them off very carefully so she couldn't scratch her face. Its not so bad in size 00 because you can hide her little hands, but size 0 doesn't have that option, besides I like her to have her hands free anyway.

We bought a musical mobile the other week when it was on special, what a lovely investment that turned out to be. Everytime we put Bree to bed in her cot, she looks at the mobile and looks back at me as if she is asking for it to be turned on. When we wind it up, her face lights up with massive smiles, it is amazing. It is the one thing that is guaranteed to bring a smile regardless of how unsettled she may be, and she gets off to sleep well straight after if finishes playing music to her.

Dragon bub I don't know how you are doing it, getting up 3 times during the night... I put Bree down generally at about 9pm and she sleeps til 7am. Hope you get to sleep through soon! I wouldn't be able to function during the day if Bree was still waking.

Better go, hope everyone else is doing well... sorry if I missed anything! It seems we are all really busy lately, I'm amazed I have had the chance to come on and do banking, check emails, and even type a post on BB yay! lol (still driving 2 hours every day)

    Hi Ladies

BBB - How do you go about setting up an online business? I have a great idea and have NFI how to go about doing it. DH is hopeless. He thinks It will cost heaps of $$$ to set it up. I want to do as much research as possible and prove him wrong.

I was going to write personals to you all but I can hear L crying out for boobie. I'll be back later hopefully.

    Hi Ladies

Bern - no I haven't heard from EMC.

    BBB - Thank you!

Kelly - Thank you as well. I've been a bit short on time to reply to any one. It seems when ever I get on here L starts crying lol.

Anyone going to the Baby and Toddler show here in Brissie? I hope it's better than the last one we went to. I really want to check out the Fisher Price stand. What's everyone doing for father's day? I'm gong to trot off to spotlight and see if I csn get a small canvas and some non toxic paint and do some hand and foot prints. I'm going to print out a funny pic of L and try and stick that on there as well with a lace boarder or something. I only have until 2pm today to get it done lol. Left it a bit late .

EMC, last FB update was Tuesday saying Jim was laughing, havent chatted to her for a little while though.
I went to Baby & Childrens Expo in Adelaide earlier in the year and didn't think much of it to be honest.

Sooo much to do today! I have to get all ready to go to Sydney with Jacob and DH, and DH wouldn't even help me out by packing his bag last night so I got to do his too ! argh! useless men!

    Hello All,
sorry been mia myself for a bit, been so busy.

Porsche - I have been working on my own online business. It is quite full-on though because I designed and produced a hooded baby towel/robe and got it made overseas. It will be added to my sig soon as I have completed the website. Mine has been a work in progress for the last few years, but it should be quite easy. I am also happy to PM you if you would like more info

    I haven't heard from EMC2 either...

Bern - rolling, hmmm, River isn't quite there yet, he more "topples" over, LOL.

    Hi everyone else!

AFM - so busy here with trying to get this business up and running. Seems I am so busy with it but not getting alot of traction. Finally have some pics to put on the website, but the web is harder to negotiate than originally anticipated. I was hoping to just buy a website and be done with it! Eek. Still, I have plenty of leads to follow that I will be able to do now that the flu has left the building.

I got my mirena inserted today OUCH! I just about passed out afterwards. Not sure why, it was maybe a bit of a shock to the system. I actually felt quite sad to be in the Obs office again and not be pg. I would really like another baby. Not sure why, I didn't have this feeling after Caden and I knew I was going to have another one. Maybe it's cos this is the last? Well, it isn't going to happen accidentally now I have the mirena anyway, so I guess I should just focus on River being my baby

AFRiver - he is going well, gaining weight, loving boobie and is generally a happy camper now. He goes to sleep in his cot without much fuss and the nights are getting better but still no long stretches. Getting 4 month needles next week so hopefully he handles them ok. I am over crying and sleepless nights for a little while.

Better go do some more web design, TTFN

    Hello!
Amelie cut her first tooth about 2 weeks ago. It was so strange, she was very drooly all of a sudden and one afternoon was complaining a little - I thought she might have scratched her mouth so I had a peak inside and saw a tiny little tooth poking through her gums (bottom left)! It was such a shock! She wasn't even 3 months yet! Here's hoping all the other teeth appear like that!

She is able to roll front to back, back to front now (when she wants to). Which is also great. Sometimes when she is on her stomach she pulls her knees up so it looks like she wants to crawl. I think she just wants to keep up with her brother.

Kaydee - wow, lots of rolling and a tooth! That's amazing. My lil guy is drooling up a storm but no fangs as yet. He keeps biting my bbs as well which isn't pleasant. I think I am his favourite chew toy

Everyone else - hi! Quiet in here of late...

AFM - all good here. Getting over flu bugs and River is alot more settled. Still getting up a couple of times each night, but nothing too strenuous. He is still quite gurgly in the tummy, so I think I might start a bit of an elimination diet to figure out what's wrong. Could be the lactose I am consuming. Oh well, he is pretty good so other than that it is not too bad.

Anyone else trying solids yet? I have some rice cereal but am in denial that he is ready for non-mummy food just yet . I guess I will get over myself but for now he is a (.)(.) boy only, LOL.

    Have a great week everyone.

we have been having pumpkin here. she loves it.

Dh and I had a "accident" the other day so i took the morning after pill, im a bit upset that the chemist never asked me if i was breastfeeding since i had chloe with me. I had a quick read of the leaflet and couldnt see anywhere where it says do not take if..... breastfeeding so i took it, then i read on a different part of the leaflet, do not breastfeed for at least 3 days, so im quiet devastated that chloe is on formula for three days, and im expressing and dumping Told DH he aint getting anymore untill he goes for the snip since he is the one who is insistant on no more kids.... The other depressing part is Chloe hasnt even attempted to refuse the formula, she dont give a rats...

anyway we are all good otherwise

OMG kaydee a tooth! Chloe has had really red cheeks the last couple of weeks and a little bit drooly, but no sign of teeth yet, DD1 didnt get any till she was 1!

    Hi Ladies

Kaydee - WOW teeth already lol. My kids were 1 before they got fangs. Are you BF'ing? I'd be a bit funny BF if there were teeth involved lol.

Bern - The was poor form on the chemists part. Aren't they supposed to ask simple questions like that? I thought that would be on a list of simple questions to ask. I hated pumping and dumping when L had thrush. I just kept thinking what a waste and I'm working do hard to keep mu supply. So I know how you feel. Pooh to your DH. It's his fault lol.

Not much happening here. L is due for her 4 month needles today. Looking into a home based business ATM. Looking forward to it too. Also getting ready to go back to work next month. I can't believe it's gone so quickly.
