Rhys still doesn't have any teeth either, it still sort of makes him my little baby whereas Liam is my 'little man' as he is the more advanced of the two.
But saying that... Rhys is pulling himself up to stand onto the furniture now - or any other stable or non stable object and Liam is now deciding to stand up and then let go and use his stomach or elbows as support as you need 2 hands to make a mess :). These babies are growing up way too fast...

Gemini - Thanks heaps for the kind words. He has been in bed with me the last few nights, so fingers crossed he stays in his own room tonight and I get some sleep. The only way I could sleep at all was by nursing him in bed :(. Not very restful but better than doing laps of my room. I studied Psychology so have some clue about aspergers but it seems a relatively recent addition to contemporary child psychology. I mean, in the "old days" it was ADD and autism, not apergers, central auditory processing, and other nasties are on the scene. I am just glad you have a diagnosis which means appropriate treatment before things get out of hand.
Jubear - it has all worked out and the kindy mum brushed it off kindly and said it was just a scratch. Whew!

AFM - have had a s#*t week in all. Sleepless nights, crashed the car, AND I forgot to pick Caden up from Kindy the other day! I was completely engrossed in making dinner for that evening when the phone rang. It was the school of course, telling me that Caden was in the office waiting for me to come get him!!! Eek! Am I the most terrible mother? The thing is, in my defence, I am used to picking him up from day care at 4pm, not school at 11.45, so I thought I had hours ahead of me. I knew when I dropped him off it was only for a half-day as I didn't even pack lunch, but during the day there was no internal clock mechanism to keep my eye on the time. I just felt absolute mud and it really topped off my week from hell. I went to a party for one of the kids from Caden's class, and it was good but I felt so uncomfortable. I was just worried I would do something wrong, or that Caden would play up or something. Is this the beginning of the mummy-wars that I have read about? I am not sure I am ready for this!

We have tooth number 6 - this one has returned after its first appearance 3 months ago :)
I think another two are coming through, as all her teeth have come through in sets of two, within about 10 days of each other.
Bree punctured my finger when I was checking her teeth the other day... OUCH
Bree is pulling herself up onto her feet all through the house now, she really wants to learn the art of walking as she hates getting sore knees trying to crawl on tiles.
Trying to baby proof the house better, as fold up cots laying across doorways wont contain her for much longer LOL
A few funny milestones...
This morning, I was gesturing by waving my hand in front of my nose and saying Pooweee and Bree copied me, so funny.
I ask Bree to say Mum Mum, but she shakes her head no and says "Nah (or My) Dad Dad" She often looks for Dad when he is at work. I get the impression she really misses him at times.
If we hold our arms out and ask Bree if she wants to be picked up, she will put her arms out to be picked up, or if she doesn't want us to pick her up she will put her arms by her side, trying to push them behind her, and she will look the other way.
If I take a photo of Bree and show it to her, she laughs. Sometimes she giggles and screws her nose up. I often tell her I am sending it to Daddy. If I ask her to smile for the camera, she ignores me and keeps playing, but if I ask her to smile once more for daddy, she will look at the camera and smile.
Dragonbub hows the sleep coming along? Don't worry yourself too much about "forgetting" to pick up your son in time. This is one of the reasons why telephones were invented :) I'm pretty sure I done this myself at some stage. I hope the coming week will be a better one for you.
Jubear I don't have much advice to offer. I have had nights where Bree has been really unsettled but on these occasions she has had a cold, bad rash under the chin, or teething I found with the two teeth next to the front ones, I needed to give Bree teething gel and nurofen to help her feel settled - they have been the worst with sinus and ear infection. I think that all upper teeth are difficult.
In my experience I have found that panadol doesnt help with pain or fever in children. I hope things settle down soon.

Well no more teeth for us just yet, but plenty of wet shirts and runny noses. The two Milly does have are very sharp, and breastfeeding is becoming a bit more dangerous. We have also had a couple of cut gums if she falls over forwards and cuts the top gum with her bottom teeth. Poor little poppet crys so hard she forgets to take a breath and goes all blue in the face. I have to blow on her face to stop her and get her to take a breath. Bit scary the first couple of times, but she is getting better.
Well she has been walking for close to a month now, and is getting very good at it. At first she would only take a couple of steps, and then crawl the rest, but now she prefers to walk and will stand up even if she falls over and keep walking. She loves to pick up Noah's toys and carry them away with her. The tupperware drawer is also a favourite.
As for eating I have been doing baby led solids, and she is just amazing. I find it most fascinating to watch her eat, and she has very good control over how much she wants to eat. Even if you ar espoon feeding yoghurt or custard, she will simply knock it out of your hand once she has had enough. Is anyone else doing baby led solids?
We have just made a major change in our family life too with my husband taking an interstate truck driving job. So we go from having DH looking after the kids in the morning and me in the afternoon, to him being away for up to two weeks at a time and the kids spending more time in the care of the grandparents and daycare. I'm now looking for part time work to balance the family life.
I'm still breastfeeding and expressing at work, but growing very tired of it. I'm finding it harder now to get a full bottle of milk, sometimes taking 30mins to express 30mls. I'm just lucky milly will take water now too.

Afm - jacksons just about to cut his first tooth, lleyton now has 2. Lleyton is also pulling himself up on everything. No sitting unless i sit them up then they lose balance, still commando crawling, i dont think they will crawl for long

Hi Girls
Birthday was very quiet but we had a cake so DD could blow out the candles.
Lots of sleeping happening with the boys at the moment - they still are having 3 day sleeps but now they are sleeping for 2 1/2 to 3 hours at a time, so I think we are hitting another growth spurt. Rhys is having troubles with his teeth, still nothing has popped through but he has been cranky and wanting lots of mummy time at the moment. Luckily for me Liam has gone through his bad teething time with his bottom 2 and is now happy to self settle again.
Both boys are now furniture cruising with Liam now spanning spaces between the lounges to move around, the other day he actually pushed a chair in front while doing a few steps, Rhys has only been pulling himself up for about a week or so but he is already making attempts to walk and will take a few steps if we hold his hands.
Cheeky monkey's are now in their own room and have settled in fine, it is quite cute to go in when they have woken from a nap and they are standing up in their cots laughing at each other. One of the nice things about having 2 babies is the interaction and bond they will share...
Anyway gotta go, I can hear them awake now and I'm sure they will be wanting something to eat.

Bree is doing well in her development but she refuses to hold her bottle. TBH I don't mind in the slightest as it is about the only time you can get close enough for a cuddle lol
She is almost ready to start taking her first steps without support, I think it will be anyday now. Its funny when she's in the 'walker' she actually runs through the house, she manouvers the walker well, navigates her way around corners very easily. She almost escaped out the front the other day as I was bringing shopping in from the car through the garage... gettin very quick.

Hi All,
It is getting exciting that our kidlets are closing in to there 1st b'days. As my boy s the 1 st grandchild on DH's side, everyone wants to get involve with the party but we just want to keep it easy, have it in a park, eat some sandwiches and have a cake.
Anyhow, Seth is doing great. He has taken a few steps but prefers to crawl at the moment. I have a playpen to put him in when I need to do something by myself around the house but he can now push it around to wherever he wants to go. He is very strong. I can now see a few more teeth starting to make an entrance.... Which is a relief, as I was starting to think he would only ever have 2 lol... Sleep is a bit better as I now just bring him in with us, so some of us can get some sleep. I start off with him going him into his cot and can get anywhere Btwn 40mins to 4hrs. I just need to figure how to convince him that when he stirs Btwn sleep cycles not to sit up. Cause once he does that, he needs a cuddle to get back to sleep.... I'm sure it will work out.
Well we are also going on a family holiday by driving north of where we are. We are just loading the car and taking off for a while. So that should be good. Fingers crossed that Seth travels well. I am also trying to list every thing we will need or him, which has been interesting...

Tooth number 7 has finally arrived, been giving Bree a hard time for almost 2 weeks.
Only put on about 150g this month but grew 2cm in length. Sleeping heaps lately, about 8pm til 7am, then 9:30am ish for another 2.5 hours, and always gets cranky about 4:30pm and falls asleep in the highchair waiting for dinner.
Wow GG still no teeth for Jacob and he's also tough up get to sleep and stay asleep :( makes working from home hard !
I'm excited about his first birthday but not about the 12 month vaccinations :(
Can anyone tell me how to get a nappy onto a crawling/sitting/standing little monkey who just wants to grab and touch everything ! Argh

wow gg 7 teeth! The boys now have 2 each. Jacksons sitting, Lleyton isnt but the MCHN said because they are prem and how sick he was she isnt concerned.

So many teeth GG! Amelia has just three, and the last one to come through took forever! I could have sworn more were coming through but only one made an appearance.

Last week when I was taking a business call he crawled into the ensuite, opened the bottom drawer of the bathroom vanity, got out my favourite nail polish bottle and then smashed it on the tiles!!! Didn't realise till a few minutes later when my house started smelling like a nail salon and saw him covered in pink paint and the carpet and tiles !!! No paint from the neck up so lucky he didn't taste any of it, and all the glass pieces of the bottle I found too.

BBB - what a cheeky monkey. So far my boy hasn't done anything like that but he does like to chew on our mobile phones and if left in reach he will charged for them quickly.
AFM - Seth as 4 teeth, with another two coming real soon. He has started taking a few unassisted steps but no full fledged walking yet. Still saying mum mostly, which annoys DH a bit but I have been noticing that Seth is making sounds like a conversation, his voice goes up and down. Very interesting. He also waggles his tongue at me, which is sooo cute. E picked that up from me. Hee Hee.
I'm not getting notifications, so haven't seen any posts :(
Liam looks like he is cutting a 3rd tooth at the moment - but he is cross cutting which makes it so much harder to predict where the next one is going to pop up from and Rhys has cut his 2 bottom teeth together...ouch...
Liam is now very proficient in walking with the walker and is now starting to stand without holding on, only for a few seconds but it's a start. Rhys is thinking about also standing without holding as he is happy to stand with only using 1 hand to balance. Both boys are happy walking around the furniture and given the chance will also climb onto anything within a climbing height.
Oh and Liam has now started clapping hands when you ask him, we do a game of clap hand then horray when he puts his arms up in the air which he thinks is a scream.
Ah for trying to plan a double first birthday, we were thinking last night that as we were only that going to have family that we might just go out to lunch so we don't have to worry about feeding everyone and the clean up plus with the weather being unpredictable in May it also means our house doesn't get overrun in it is raining. Thanks to BBB, I am however ordering the cakes through a company that sends the whole kit to you :) as I have to get a cake for each boy it will be cheaper for me to do them instead of buying 2 decorated cakes which is what have been doing for DD's birthdays.
Coimg up to 12mths we also have the boys follow up pead appt's to check Liam's kidney and Rhys' lungs, not looking forward to having to try and keep Liam still for his ultrasound that has to get done. Fingers crossed it is getting better as if it is worse or has not changed we will probably be off to a pead urologist in Melb to get it checked out and possibly surgery which I don't really want to happen if we can avoid it.
Oh Gosh... I too haven't been getting the notifications... wonder what is going on?
I can't stop long, Bree is keeping me on my toes. Everytime I think I have Brianna proofed the house, she finds something else I need to find a new home for... Unfortunately, I can't move all the vertical blinds out of reach doh.
Brianna is takin off in the teeth department huh. I think the next two up top are coming through, one either side, but we are still waiting for the 4th one at the bottom. Thought it had come through a couple of days ago but it was a false alarm.
I think Bree is having another growth spurt, she is tired all the time, sleeping all night and an extra 2.5 hrs after the kids go to school, which is awesome for getting things done. I do worry and hope that is just that she is growing.
BBB argh what a mess that must have made, I can only imagine, Bree got into the bathroom in our room a few weeks ago and I make sure I shut it all the time now. Would hate for her to get her hands on those razers in the bottom drawer. Should probably move them just incase.
We have a gate at the entrance to the lounge, and although either side of the gate is not full proof, I can minimize the tornado lol
TaRyLi I hope the tests come back ok. Bree has to go in for an ultrasound of her lung, they found something during the barium swallow. They are not concerned but just want to check to make sure. Apparently they found a little calcium on the lining of the lung. Its exciting when they start to stand on there own isn't it. Bree has started doing it for around 5 seconds. Its amazing how much confidence she has in herself. It wont be long and they will be running all over the place.
So much more I could say but I better go, Bree has been very patient waiting for me.

Jacobs finally cut his first tooth! The whole thing isn't out yet but I can see and feel the tip of it that's broken through the gum! Yay!

Brianna got number 8 either late yesterday or this morning. Most likely why she was cranky this morning!
Little one across the road is 6 weeks older than Bree and has the same amount of teeth, like Bree his bottom left was also quite stubborn :)
Haven't started planning birthday yet, off to get Bree's stats this morning.. lets see if she has tipped 11kgs yet?
Still not walking, but plans to do so soon. She is getting into everything. Still amazed with her hands, she loves exploring and picking things up, she finds everything I miss with the vacuum cleaner lol Its funy watching her so engrosed in watching her own hands.
I bought a special present to celebrate Brianna's 1st birthday, its a gorgeous little guardian angel pendant with amethest and rose quartz crystals... Now to find some toys :)

Yay for Seth, he can now walk... He can get about a meter away, then needs a rest.
He also has only 5 teeth, with no. 6 waiting to pop... It's kind of showing but not quite through he skin....
Trying to organise a party but hubby is being a duh head about where to hold it.... Need to lock him down and discuss it tonight, wish me luck.

Hi everyone. Gee it's been quiet in here of late.
I hope everyone is doing well. I've been absolutly loving these last few months with Amelia. She is growing to be such a cute little kid. She loves to play in the cubby house at daycare, opening and closing the windows, and follows her brother around the sand pit. She aslso plays tiggy in the house with Noah (4), and has learnt to pick up things and pass them to people on request. She answers questions with either a 'mmm' and head nod for yes, or shakes her head and swipes at you for no. She also loves to play in the shower, so keeping the bathroom door shut has become top priority.
Still only four teeth, but it hasn't held her back with eating. She eats anything and everything, but really loves pasta, chicken pie and steamed veges. She is now 66cms tall and weighs 8.2 kgs, so we are getting lots of wear from her smaller clothes.
We are doing a picnic in the park for her birthday. After a big christening at the house I'm not much in the mood for all the cleaning up again.
Must run, sleepy baby needs a nap.

Lol Farmgirl, Bree is into anything she is not meant to be..
Bree is getting big, I kept up with the tradition of weighing her on her at 12 months, even though it was her birthday. She is 78.5cm long and weighs 11.1kg, same weight as last month, just longer. We celebrated Bree's first birthday by having a quiet home cooked family dinner on Friday night, and then had the extended family up for a bbq on Sat with streamers (no ballons). So much excitement for one little girl. I am so glad I got her to have a sleep before the bbq, but even still she is struggling to recover from it all. We bought her a xylophone which she has amazed me by learning how to use it very easily. And we bought her a shape sorter. We aso bought her a guardian angel pendant, but I haven't bought the chain for it yet. Her nan and grandad bought her a beautiful bracelet, one she will have forever. She got lots of toys and clothes from others. I can't believe a year has gone by already, where has the time gone? We officially have a pedestrian lol she started walking a week before her birthday. I have taken her to dancing which she absolutely loves, I am amazed at how intense she is at watching the other littlies learning to dance. She was trying to move her feet in time with the steps, eventually giving in to her lack of balance and being able to stand on one foot, and so she sat down to do the steps. lol <3 I have just enrolled her into childcare, but haven't actually booked any sessions yet. Better go, she is getting cranky, better go put her to bed.
P.S She loves falling asleep to piano music.

Gemini-girl - I had a similar b'day experience for Seth. We just had some family over on sat for an afternoon tea.
Seth got lots of clothes and a few toys, which is what I asked for, as we have such a small house and no storage space.... As for stats, Seth is going for his 12mths needles this Thursday so will get them then. As mention before, Seth is walking and is starting to run a bit. He loves to climb on the couch, to give me cuddles. He also gives me kisses and hugs, quite strongly... Basically putting me in a headlock. Lol. My DH thinks Seth has a hearing problem, cause he doesn't answer his name but I think it is that he watches too much TV.... So is distracted by that. I'm getting him looked at, just so I can get DH to stop saying it as it is annoying.

UPDATE: been to drs. Weight 13kilos, height 84cms, head cir. 47cm.
The head size was worrying me but it's been consist in the same percentage brand. So the nurse said that is ok.

It's been so quite, hope everyone is going well and that your bubs all had an excellent first b'day.
Seth is going well. He doesnt talk much, just babbling and saying mum or mummy. He does let u know when he is not happy and threw his 1 st tantrum last week... Not sure why. He also suffers a bit of separation anxiety with both parents but he usually won't sleep unless it is with me, so we co-sleep. I've put his cot into the toddler version and am able to lay down with, which helps some. But think he might be ready for a kids big bed.... Has anyone been through this and have any advice.
Or do u think I should enroll in a sleep school? If so, how do u do that?
Anyhow, all the best to everyone.

Neither walking yet but now confident crawlers.

Lleyton claps where Jackson doesnt and has only said dad.
And as much as they love each other they also dislike one another they can have some whooper fights already.
Still waking 1-2 sometimes more times per night each
