    hey ladies
gotta try and be quick. the fairies are on for 10 more minutes, then dd will be needing parental supervision, lol.

kymmy, i'm soooo glad that things have settled down. you've got an u.s the 1st of june is that right?? trying to remember. hmm. hope everything works out. when i had my bleeding, it was just that, no pains. when i had my m/c there was soo much pain, and heapps of blood with lotts of clots, the clots even looked like a lot more than clots iykwim. wow.. thats really graphic! lol!!! sorry. All i'm saying is that it sounds like things are fine. i like your new dr theory of the d&c, makes sense! I shall call you dr kymmy! Oh btw, i love you like this too you're such a great friend xx

alison - sorry i can't really help you. i've found that theo isn't having as much booby since starting solids, and i'm loving it! woop! i dont feel like my ass is permanently pressed onto our lounge chair, lol. could definately be because of her snotty nose, poor little munchkin. have you tried the fess? works awesome. souns really feral, and i hate to admit it, lol, but the fess didn't work with dd when she was a baby, so i .. on more than one occasion.. sucked the snot out myself ohh the things we do right.?? disgusting i know! hope missy feels better soon!

Billy, im notsure if you still tune in for a read. but i was thinking about you the other day. how is ella going with her head?? i remember you had problems in the early days. xx hope all is well

sarah - how is everything going'?? migraines are sooo hard core! eek! I've only ever had one *touch wood*, so i'm soo lucky! My mum gets them quite often, to the point we thought she had tumors and what not (She doesn't), but they can be tough. I know you're probably busy busy buysy, but try and take the time to relax k. you're such a super mummy

natty - i believe you. v is such a little tropper!!! Actually the day you posted that, theo was starting to pull himself up to his knees aswell. yesterday i had him in the clothes basket (lol, shayna, i got that idea from you), and he was pulling himself up to a standing position, then go ass over cause the basket couldn't balance. I can't believe how quickly this is happening!! yikes its scary!! I just went through your bb profile too, naw v is just PERFECT! Can't get more perfect than that Theo lost his dada's for a couple of days there too, but they've returned with a vengence, lol

shayna - big high 5s to you for putting up with your MIL. i have nothing but respect. lol. I can't stand my MIL... argh... nothing worse! Hope missy is behaving herself, and mr too.

Mel - seems like forever since you posted in here! hope all is well. xx

kymmy - you're special and get two hellos. lol.

ubba - yipee (or not, haha) for ruby beginning to crawl! scary isn't it!? haha, i had a chuckle too, imagining her with carpet burn, hehe. ohh our beautiful babies are growing quickly!

AFM i took theo and kaili in for their health checks on monday. (theo in for 6 months, kaili in for 2.5yrs). they're both doing well. theo is 9.2kg and 70cm long. she was surprised to see him crawling, i think she thought i was telling furfies so i put him on the floor and showed her. Also Kaili showed her talent and made mumma proud. She gave kaili a pen and asked her to draw a line, so she drew a circle and said "no.. thats a circle", hehe. Then she was going through animals asking her what each one was, when she got to the bird she said it was a 'seagull' (which it was), hehe! she was also impressed that she is toilet trained! *head swells*

sorry i haven't been on for ages
finding it hard to get the time!

ps - i hate my chickens

    xx

Alison - I had a fussy week last week, not off his milk though, but he had a cold and wanted to be held all the time, wouldn't stay asleep when I put him down so maybe the wonder week, maybe the cold.

DH claims that Mr I has started commando crawling, I'm not sure I'd say that, but he is doing the catipillar hump to get about and deliberatly moving towards whatever he wants. Its a bit hard to leave him on the floor when DS1 is home as he drags him about so I'll see what he does tomorrow. Although he'll have sore arms or legs tomorrow as he's getting his needles at 9:30 - bit annoyed as I got an e-mail from the childcare and they're doing Worlds Greatest Morning Tea then & I would have liked to have gone. Oh well.

He's really enjoying BLS and thinks anything I'm eating he should have. It doesn't seem like much is swallowed at the end of a meal when I get him out of the highchair, but a small amount must be going in. I made sweet potato & lentil soup last night (as DH wasn't home so didn't have to cook meat) and he had a good go at using spoons. I made it really thick and put some on a spoon and handed it to him, then gave him another spoon & alternated. Tonight we're having porcupine meatballs - I hope they're good, DH bought 2kg of mince at the markets on Sat and I bought a new slow cooker cookbook, this is the first recipe I've made from it. My slow cooker is huge so I have to make large volumes - we're going to be eating meatballs and Oso Buco (last weeks effort) for the next 2 weeks as we're going away for a week & I don't want to leave too much in the freezer.

DH is home better serve dinner. Love to all.

Oh my god its getting hard to post in here seeing as V is obsessd with my laptop, remote, phone...well anything that we touch other than her...oh another one my cfee mug...she looooves it lol...Anytime I try and sneak some bb time she busts me lol and starts complaining..

Snowy, I hope MR Is needles go well tomorrow, the DR put the last ones in her little bum and she was over it really quickly, he said cause its more fatty its better. Oh and with the BLS do you avoid dairy? Does cows milk in cooking affect them? Hmmm I may have to research the whole dairy thing...Wow on the spoon action too what a clever boy!

Telly Im glad Feo is doing the same....trying to stand that is, not the falling over lol.....I tried to video V doing it and I still will but this time I did it she fell over and I felt really bad about videoing it rather than helping lol. She is also whinging a lot because she gets stuck (under her vtech walker WTF?) and needs to be rescued hehe. How good is Kaili drawing the circle haha she obviously thinks a line would be too boring. Was that a developmental test the nurse was doing?

Alison, glad to hear the humidifier helped Amelia. I started a thread as I was worried about my supply since V started solids but one lady actually said they take in the same amount of calories when they eat solids so will drink less milk, so I dont think Amelia will want as much milk as before...If that is infact correct. V doesnt want boobie as much anymore and isnt there for long either. Not like the long cuddles we used to have..

Kymmy yay for Archie sleeping in his cot!!! And Im so glad the spotting has eased off. Did you get the blood tests? What did you put on ebay thats worth that much? lol I was thinking of putting some stuff on but am so lazy..one day.....

Bec Yay for Rubys caterpillar humping! I cant wait to meet her. Hopefully they will all 3 of them be on their best behavior for our meet up lol... (mine will prob be mental lol) I cant wait to put that little crochet hat on her hee hee!!!

Shayna!!! Not long now and you will be back to normal (MIL free) lol. Why does Abbey have a mullet?? I so want to see a picture

Sarah I so admire you, doing 2 businesses and kids and keeping it all together...Im on matleave and think Im hard up sometimes...You are my hero and Im looking fwd to meeting you too

Hi to anyone Ive missed...Heavenly, Alicia...

So much has ben going on Im not sure where to start, V is sitting up on her own really well, eating lots of different food (zuchinni, beans, broccoli, carrot, potato, sw potato, cauliflower, chicken, lamb, bacon, blueberries, banana, pear, etc) I have zip lock bags all over the place lol. Tonight she had cauli, zuchinni and chicken and finished it all so I made up another lot and she ate that too! Amazing! She was off her food a bit while she had her cold..Today she ate like 4 times and she would have again when we had dinner she was looking at us and chewing and looking all cute. I just gave her a rusk though and she was all good.

I am convinced V is a wierdo psycho baby... Other babies are just so...quiet and goo goo gaga but mine is like screeeeech and waaaa! She is doing this new thing where she smacks her lips and opens her mouth really wide like chewing and sometimes makes noises and sometimes not...I think she is trying to tell me something but im sot sure...dummy? hungry? talking? god knows? I have to watch her with the push walker as she pulls up on it to stand then falls over and cracks the poos..

She is so funny youd think shed have enough of me by the end of the day but dh gets home and picks her up then all she wants to do is look at me and smile haha I kind of feel sorry for him...She does smile at him too and gets all excited to see him but she is always trying to catch my eye and when I look she rewards me with a big beamer. So cute.

Oh I have these really nice neighbours, they are indian and really polite and nice. We give them veggies from our garden. Anyway the mother came over the other day with her daughter who goes to uni and they brought V a handknitted jumper knitted by the grandmother...!!!! Its great so V can wear it when we go to Melbourne.

Anyhoo I think Ive missed out lots of stuff so i might come back later but Im so loving this stage with her...If she would just sleep through the night properly I would be soo happy lol

    xxx Love you guys!

Oh we could so be friends lol we call V a terradactor lol...Great minds....

da dada da!!!!! V slept from 9 till 730!!!! Oh MY GOD!!!!! I so hope this is a trend...We rugged her up big time last night and put the oil heater up a bit higher so it was nice and cozy in her room...God help our power bills though...

Oh and Kymmy my boobs were about to explode lol so happy about that!

Hope everyone has a good day, we are going food shopping because Vs god parents are FINALLY coming to meet her from Melbourne this weekend and they have never been here before so I must feed them lol...I am known for always cooking way too much so Ill try and settle it down a bit lol.

    Hi Girls!

Natty: OOooohhh Good girl V!!!! I CAN'T wait til Archie sleeps through the night! Although at this stage I don't think he will til he is about 25....
Oh and YAY for your exploding bosoms!!! haha! V sounds like she is really enjoying the solids! Thats great! Some days Archie doesn't want a bar of it, so we are just taking it slowly.
Sounds like your neighbors are keepers, mine are great too. They are a 40 year old couple with no kids (never wanted any, they have 3 Kelpies instead!) and they are TOTALLY in love with Brit! Brit goes riding with Lisa and when Lisa fell off and broke her collarbone Brit looked after her horse for her for 3 months. They have this amazing relationship... Lisa told me one day that she can't believe that Brit is only ten and that she actually feels like Brit is one of her best friends!! haha!! It's so good to have great neighbors!
Oh Archie is a shrieker too! He SQUEALS!! It is sooo funny! He is the same too, he adores his mummy so much!! DH and Brit will come and try to give him a cuddle and he'll totally blank them and show them the back of his head! haha! Although sometimes i wish he wasn't such a mummy's boy and leave me alone for a bit! haha!
Hmmm on ebay we have... DH's motorbike, a big old style wood stove thingy, an open fireplace, a surfboard, a wakeboard, Brit's old show jacket and the bridesmaid dress i wore last year! Hopefully it all sells! DH still hasnt started working and the money would come in handy!!! My mum found a pair of jodhpurs at an op shop for $9 put them on ebay and they sold for $51 with $10 postage!! So you can make some good money with the right stuff!

Angela: I'll have to look into this wonder week business that you and Ali always speak of... I'd like an explaination for all the strange things that Archie does!! Archie tried a little bit of natural yoghurt on a spoon i loaded for him, it is amazing how accurately they get it in their mouths isn't it!? I couldn't believe it! Last night we have pizza on lebanese bread and Archie grabbed a piece of mine and shoved it straight into his mouth! It had chilli on it and all and he only got the crust end but he LOVED it! I don't get in the habit of feeding him anything with salt or sugar added but them him try pretty much everything else. It is a really fun way to do solids, i did the puree thing with Brit and i hated it, and SHE hated it too! So this is a really nice change...

Telly: WOW I feel special.. TWO hellos!!!!
Yay for your kiddies!! I always make stupid comments about how 'advanced' Archie is... like, because he can speak French and all... But it is nice when they are actually doing stuff earlier than their peers!! Hahaha! People ask me if Archie is trying to crawl yet and i'm like "no... i don't want him to crawl!!" haha... good mother i am. No but seriously, he didn't really have any tummy time until about 3 months cos of his collarbone so he is not really THAT comfortable on his tummy.

Alison: As i said above, What is this wonder week thing!? Ploise explain?!
I'd say it could be a mixture of the cold and the teeth! It is so horrible when they can't breathe through their nose! Archie's nose is running like a tap today... not nice!

    Hello everyone else!

AFM: Feeling AVERAGE this morning.... eeerrrrggh.
Am feeling a bit down in the dumps the last few days... can't wait til DH goes back to work! (How sad is that!?) but he is so bloody annoying sometimes! The house is ten times messier when he is home and he does nothing to help me, don't get me wrong, he does HEAPS, like fixing stuff outside, working on bobcat etc but NOTHING to give me a hand! His attitude is that the housework and looking after kids is a womans job........ now we had a MASSIVE arguement about this and i threw it in his face that if he carries on with that attitude then Archie will hate him just like he hates his dad probably out of line but i think there is some truth in it!
I am just feeling so overwhelmed, i guess. Archie is so clingy, the house is a mess, i'm tired and sick AND i am going to have another baby to look after..... so yeah, down in dumps.
Didn't end up going for blood tests but moved u/s forward to today at 2pm so i'll let u know how i go!

Anyway, best be off, Archie has fallen asleep in my lap!
    xxxxx love you all xxxxxx

    Hi girls.. Just quickly

Ultrasound was all good. Heart beating away nicely! He couldn't find a reason for the spotting but said that a small amount of spotting is actually a good thing as it means that the sac is attaching well. Dates were spot on too. So all good!

Kymmy - Phew! That's great news about your u/s. Your DH sounds like mine, busy out in the garage with no help inside. Wonder Weeks see: The wonder weeks

Natty - Great sleep V! WTG with the solids. Hope you enjoy the visit from V's Godparents.

Telly & Natty - Sounds like you have 2 determined little munchkins who want to stand up and walk!

Snowy - Hope the porcupine meatballs were nice! They sound good. Lots of kisses for Mr I's needles tomorrow.

Sarah - You're my hero too! Dunno how you do it. Hope your migrane went and didn't come back.

Bec - Have you got video of the caterpillar hump? I tried to video Ryan's 3-legged crawl today, but no luck. As soon as I get the camera going he stops.

Ali - How's the noses going at your house? Glad the vaporiser helped.

    Hi Mel, Mon, everyone else!

AFM - I love reading all your posts, you girls are so funny We've been so busy lately that I haven't been able to post. Got my hair cut for the first time since before I went on Mat Leave and it feels lovely. In fact, this week I've managed my first 2 hours without the boys, 1 hour for the haircut and 1 hour Boot Camp with a personal trainer. Yesterday, lucky me got to shop for new smaller clothes because both boys fell asleep (toddler in pram, baby in sling) while I was shopping which NEVER happens anymore I took 6 garbage bags of clothes out of my wardrobe the other day 'cause nothing fits me. My poor DH also has nothing fitting him, but for the reverse reason

Ryan is 6 months old today! He got his second tooth today, started to commando crawl in the last 2 days and started 'solids' today eating all of his rice cereal with gusto! It's not really a commando crawl, it's more of a 3-legged crawl where he's got one elbow and both knees going, probably because he's always reaching out to grab stuff with the other arm.

Hi Girls, this will be quick probably - haven't had much time to get on this week.

Hi Kymmy - I'm so pleased about your ultrasound, must make it real seeing it, congratulations, that's very exciting. Wonder Weeks.....the book I couldn't live without, I'd have slit my wrists by now if it wasn't for the book telling me everything happening is normal! It's a must have in my eyes, it's called The Wonder Weeks by Hetty Vanderijt and Frans Plooij - it tells you about the growth spurt weeks and what to expect around those times. Wonder Week 26 is my household to the t right now! Some of the signs for example of WW26 are:

    Poor Sleep
    Become Shier
More physical contact - always wants to be with you
    Loss of Appetite
    Refuse to have nappy changed
    More cuddly
    Listless
    Less Lively
    Wants to be kept busy

I was at mums group yesterday and the girls got to witness what happens when she suddenly gets tired, she just goes from happy to chucking a tanty in a second and I had to rush off. I'm having to cuddle to sleep again and she's waking half a dozen times in the night, sometimes completely awake and needing cuddling back to sleep. I shouldn't complain as I know a lot of people have this all the time but I tell you I take my hat off to anyone in that position because I'm really struggling this week, I'm so used to my routine and Amelia being a good sleeper since week 9 that I've forgotten what it's like having to deal with the interrupted sleep etc. Anyway, I guess it will pass but in the meantime how do you just "ride through it", I want to but I'm finding I'm stressing about it! I don't even want to go out at the moment in case things turn ugly, it's just easier to be at home. I can't keep cancelling appointments and visits with people over it. Also, she's been tugging at her ear when getting upset - the back arches etc etc....she has always tugged at her ear when really tired but she's completely scratched behind her ear she's been so bad, I'm wondering if that's part of the tantrum or if she has a sore ear. I'm going to keep her GP appt Monday for her vaccs, even if they won't do them because she's had a cold I'm going to take her anyway to get her checked out.

Well, she's whinging again, she's been up since 6.00 am - an hour earlier than usual so is ready for her nap now, I'd best take her to bed before hell breaks loose!

Hope everyone else is having a better time of the Wonder Week/6 month growth spurt than me lol!

    xx

Lol Alison, sounds like Vs first 5 months haha Im ordering my baby for 6 months old next time...I did cancell lots of things to keep V happy as I found if she was happy so was I and honestly I was so tired I didnt have the inclination to do much else. Try to sleep when she sleeps but soon enough you wont bother with that and you develop supersonic sleeplessness abilities I always take my ergo baby crrier with us out in case she gets fussy I just pop her in it and cuddle her to sleep then carry on as normal...Not the ideal but at least she is not heavy lol...

Suz Yay for Ryan!!! NO sign of toofy pegs here yet...but I can definately wait lol...

Kymmy...Im so pleased bubba is well

ok gtg sorry quick one, our visitors are here and I dont want to look like a computer freako...lol

Nice rainy Sunday here. Am trying to clean up after having the folks over for dinner last night. Haven't seen my StepDad for a while and he commented on how good I am looking. Love my StepDad, can always rely on him to tell you that you look nice when you do. Makes you feel great because you know he's not just saying it to be nice, he actually means it. DH is away riding his dirtbike with mates and hopefully having a great time in the mud. The boys who are normally both excellent sleepers have both been waking up while he's been away. Ryan has even worked out how to kick his lullaby thingy with his feet to turn it on, totally freaked me out at 3:30am this morning!

Kymmy - Yay for Archie! How're you feeling? Any morning sickness or cravings? Tired?

Sarah - Harper sounds so much like Ryan! Raspberries, trying to crawl and almost there. Not so much clingy, more bitey with the new teeth. Dunno how you do the Mummy thing and two businesses, my hat's off to ya! Hope you are up and running soon so things are less crazy for you.

Mel - Nice to see you! Love the Facebook pics of the kids BB sure can take up a lot of time, good for you having a break.

Hello everyone! Hope you're having lovely weekends with your little ones and if you need the rain that you're getting some where you are.

    xx
