afm- mad busy with new shop, but excited
harper had 4 month needles yesterday, bit late as he was sick with bronciolitis then cold then fever, so wait to 8 months for next ones
otherwise shes great. moving forward somehow, not crawling but getting there, no teeth yet, will sit a bit then face plant, sorta says dada amongst the babble but not really. not in a routine, in my bed once she first wakes in the night, then stays there till the morn feeding what feels like all night. getting a bit draining.
tully is hilarious, dh tries to hump my leg all the time too and whenever i want it he is asleep at 9pm.

AFM - Well thanks everyone for your lovely birthday wishes on FB. I had such a great day. DH bought me an HTC Desire, which is the new competition for the iPhone, if you talk to computer nerds they will say the Desire is better, it does everything the iPhone does but a little more and is powered by Linux which is Google so there are heaps more apps for it etc. Of course, I haven't even owned a iPhone so I have no idea how to use it, will take me a while but so far it's pretty speccy. I always said I would never get an iPhone or anything as they were gimmicks, now look at me lol. Well I didn't buy it DH did so it's his fault. I have to say though it's the first year I think he's bought me something without me knowing about it or taking me to the shops to buy it ha ha so pretty stoked! We went to DH's folks for dinner and his sister and brother and their families came, got more goodies, a great book on baby food and some novels for me to read (I love reading although don't get much time these days) and some other bits and bobs. Tomorrow we're going out to lunch with my family (my mum did pop over and see me today). My diet will be out the window this week, I lost 400 grams but it will go back on, I've already had mud cake today and no doubt more tomorrow lol. Oh well, who cares, it's my birthday!

Anyway, best go I guess, Amelia slept a little in the pram at the in-laws but woke with all the noise so she's only just gone down at 8.30 pm which is 1.5 hours later than usual. You get that I suppose, you have to have a life huh. Tomorrow will be the same, we'll probably still be out when she's due her nap but what can you do, she will just have to learn to sleep in the pram again! I just hope it doesn't backfire on me and she doesn't sleep or we'll end up with one cranky baby lol.

Hi Girls - Just a quickie from me...where is everyone?

I had a lovely birthday weekend but it's been a little marred with Amelia coming down with her 2nd cold in 4 weeks!!! This one is a little worse as her nose is really snotty and blocked this time, I got up 6 times to her last night and eventually at 4.30 am I gave in and put her in bed with us - haven't done that in months, I just couldn't settle her and the more she cried the worse her nose got, it was bubbling it was so bad. Poor petal. I just feel awful for her. Then today we had lunch out with my family and then went back to my sister's for cake, she was happy enough but she would not go to sleep. I've just got her to bed now at 7.15 pm, she has been awake since 11.00 am - except for half an hour in the car on the way from the restaurant to my sister's she has been awake for 6.5 hours, it's just ridiculous. I don't know what tonight will bring, it will either mean she will be awake all night again with her nose or she'll be so pooped she'll sleep - I'm expecting the worst though. Is it normal to have 2 colds in 4 weeks though? I'm not sure where she got this one from although the swimming teacher last week came to teach the class with a cold (WTF!!)....I won't be taking her this week if she's unwell.

Anyway, best go, I'm so shattered after last night and today, bubs are draining when they're sick aren't they, poor thing. Will write some more tomorrow. Thanks for all your birthday wishes this weekend, I cherish our friendship a lot and feel blessed to have met you girls.

Good news though, my bestie has just gotten a flat of her own in melb. so maybe a holiday will be sooner rather than later? :think: Not really anything too spec with dtd, we've just decided to have more fun... handcuffs perhaps?? if you get the drift! :shhh: hahaha. Theo comes to bed with us as soon as he wakes too, and then sucks on the boob allllll night. tiring, yes i agree.

afm - theos first tooth is giving us hell. geeeez i forgot how hard this teething business is! He seems to have forgotten how to say dada, just more raptar noises which make me chuckle. we've had a very uneventful long weekend. but i'm still enjoying it.

Hi Telly - thanks beautiful. xx Mum said the same re Amelia's teeth, the second tooth is definitely close so maybe. The books say it's crap but mum said to stop reading so many books as half the time "what would they know"....guess she's right. It is a coincidence! I've got her mattress propped up a little at her head end tonight so hope she sleeps better. She was awake for 7 hours straight today, not good! xx The Clippies are gorgeous, Amelia wore hers today, will upload some pics tomorrow. The owner of the restaurant we had lunch in commented on how cute it was even. I think I need to buy more! Mum even said it was exciting as some hair was wisping over the headband part, her hair is finally growing! lol Hope Theo's pegs don't give him too much grief, how funny they're all "pegging" at the same time hee hee.

Poor Millie! It's horrible when they can't breathe properly :(
One thing that was recommended to me for babies is "Baby Biotics" it's a pro biotic (like inner health plus) but it helps all the nutrients to be absorbed by the gut properly as sometimes when a baby gets a bit "run down" the gut can slow down a little which in turn prevents them absorbing all the goodies in food which in turn depletes their system, if that makes sense! I have used them for Brit (she gets sick ALL the time!!) and when she is on them she NEVER gets sick! Just an idea but it is natural and completely safe so you might want to give it a go. Hope she feels better really soon xxxx

I had on average 23 day cycles back then.......we're all going to be waiting with bated breath now! Woops gotta run, the dog is licking Amelia's foot again and she has vial breath.....the dog that is! lol

well the deed was only done last night, sorry tmi. SO i have the dreaded 2ww!
i havent had af as yet so it will probably be just a risky night tee hee hee.
But i am a little worried as we got preg as soon as we had decided to try with tully and when we decided to start trying with harper, i was already preg! had only been on the mini pill a few months then stopped.
this time i decided not to use it, didnt like it, and i HATE rubbers, so long story short, we were naughty last night and maybe it may happen, probably not though!

Well turned my 3 br house into a 4 br lol my dining table got broken so I turned the dining room into the girls room just used a cupboard thing to section it off so see how it goes

I'm wanting to get a pt job next year sometime then work towards a house so I'm wanting to wait til then for kids

I'm on my phone so will make it quick. Ruby is comando crawling everywhere now. I am so sick of putting the DVDs away 10 times a day&hellip; she isn't talking yet but has discovered how to squeal. It's very cute cause it's not ear peircing yet. She sits for a short amount of time but I think it's a fluke cause as soon as she goes off balance she just face plants the ground.
I'll make some time tomorrow to get on the computer and get back to you all properly

Hi all, I'm back from my holiday. I'm sitting here with my huge cat on my lap - I think he missed me.

We had a good time right up until we left and half an hour from Coolangatta DH's 1961 Mini broke down & we sat in a shopping centre car park (although we did go into the shopping centre briefly) for nearly 4 hrs trying to fix it before my step-Dad decided to tow it to his place with his 1971 Kombi - it was a sight and took them about 2 1/2 hrs to get there - luckily there are no child seats in the Mini so we took my car down as well so I got to drive home in comfort.

We ate alot of not so healthy food so it was hard to do BLS with Mr I - he had pizza crusts one night :redface: The place we stayed at had glass coffee table and he had a great time trying to work out why he could see things under the table but couldn't touch them.

I'm going to work Fri, Sat & Sun so I'd better go & try to express so DH can feed Mr I . He's getting my Dad & step-Mum over to help him look after the kids and build the first stage of the kitchen - I'm not expecting to have much done.

Ill be the readheaded (well strawberry blonde actually lol) with a big black 3 wheeler babyjogger pram...Probably wrapped in a doona and dragging a heater around with me lol I am so freaked out I will forget your names or not recognise you and look like an idiot lol but Im kinda used to it.... Oh I will definately be wearing doc martens and jeans because then I can wear my wooly socks lol. V will be one of the 3 best looking babies there I wonder who the other 2 will be heehee!!!! Hi Snowy - lol I couldn't help but laugh at your story about DH and your stepdad, I had visions of this old Kombi towing an old Mini, I do hope you got a photo of that! Two classics mind you! Kombi's are all in again now aren't they, so are mini's for that matter, although everyone's driving the new ones which look a bit plastic to me. Hope you had a nice time away regardless.

Hi Telly - go Theo with a tooth! Yay! Isn't it the cutest, when Amelia smiles and I see the little peg I go awwwww every time lol - still waiting for the 2nd one to appear but it's not far I don't think. As for him standing, wow, that is super impressive! Amelia is nowhere near doing that, although we have taught her to clap and when we say clap hands she does, it's so cute. Am trying to teach her to wave now, I think that would be so cute. Gosh they're growing so fast, almost time for another! lol

AFM - well miracles of all miracles Amelia slept through the whole night last night! I went in to check on her once and she was up the other end of the cot so I just moved her back and she stayed there until 6.30 am! Her nose was clear and she was breathing through it no problems. I got so excited as she looked and sounded back to normal....but since being up her nose has gone all snotty again. She won't let me near her with the suction thing though. I'm a bit bummed as I thought it had gone but perhaps she's on the mend at least. I'm not going swimming today though, thought it best if I avoided that today, shame as she loves it but don't want her catching a chill or passing it onto the other bubs. I feel worse today, think the lack of sleep this week has caught up on me and I have a feeling I might be getting her cold, my throat is a bit sore and my nose feels a bit funny but I don't care, as long as she's better, I can take stuff for it at least! Last night I elevated her mattress a bit more and doubled the dose of the vicks in the vaporizer, my friend said to only use 1 capful not the recommended 2.5 but her room is quite big so I did what it says on the bottle and obviously that made a difference. I also put her in the bathroom when I had a shower last night so she could get the steam. Oh and someone told me to put Vicks on their feet and then cover their feet with either socks or their all in ones as apparently that helps with coughs and sinuses so will give that a go today! Will be doing all these things again today that's for sure. But, I'm just glad she's on the mend, I really don't fair well with a sick baby, not sure if I'm just pathetic or if it's normal but I hope I get better as I've got many more years of things like this and worse to come I'm sure.

Just a quick one before Abbey stacks it on the lounge room floor and hollers for me.....

I'm running out of ideas for spreads to put on toast and sangers for the Abster....I imagine she's getting sick of Vegemite and avocado.....obviously cant put Peanut Butter or jam or anything like that so what else?!?!?!??!?

Also gave her scrambled egg the other night as I was running low on things I could just slop onto her high chair tray and let her rip into and she loved it!! I hope that was OK? None of us have egg allergies and she hasnt had any reactions to it so it was good!

Nightmare last night with her.....constantly whinging and whinging until I put her in her cot at about 4am with her mobile on and I just went and crashed in bed and woke up at 6am, freaked out and found her sleeping....I didnt hear a thing I was that tired....some of her little stuffed toys were on the floor and so was her dummy so I imagine she wouldnt have had a nice time in there....poor thing but I was at the point where I couldnt deal with her anymore.....

2 teeth through now so that's probably part of the problem hey!!

Shayna - egg is fine - when doing BLS anyway ;) I give cream cheese and hommus as well on toast, just to keep it different. I don't have peanut butter in the house, and only the older kids get jam.

We went to a BB member's house for dinner last night, I took a zucchini quiche with us, and omg - eden LOVED it. I cut off a slice for her (like i did for everyone) and she picked it up with one hand like a piece of pizza and in it went.. haahahah!!! SOoo funny.

But then we got home and she screamed solid for about an hour, so I think we were home too late and she was wayyyyy overtired and over stimulated. Poor thing really needs to be in bed by 7pm or else she cracks it!!!

She's having a lovely long sleep at the moment, as is DD1 and DS is at daycare... yayyy... I've actually got dinner cooking, house tidy (not clean, but tidy) dishwasher on, second load of washing on - just have to fold some more washing, and sort out my nappies!! :) :)
