Alison - Those B*TCHES need a slap up the side of the head! They make me soooooooo mad!! Have you said anything? You don't have to be harsh maybe something like "Awww come on guys, she's just a bit different, she's harmless! Think of it as doing a good deed..." Or something like that? They don't deserve such pleasantries with the way they're acting but I suppose you still have to be polite about it... Isn't it funny how girls get into this gang mentality, like most of them probably didn't even feel that strongly about the situation until one cow spoke up, then they all jump on the Bandwagon - Just like High School! Argh, I know nothing of the situation but still makes me so mad that they are cutting someone out like that when she obviously needs friends and means no harm! And then there's the ladies who end up doing horrible things to their children and end up in mental wards and everyone says "Oh if only we had've known, if only we had've been able to help, if only we'd have reached out.." Pffffft you lie B*TCHES!!!

Alison - OMG! I can't believe what a pack of vultures your MG is! That's just awful.
Telly - Your DH must be so proud of your weight loss :D Pity he didn't think before he mentioned actual numbers. You and I are going kg for kg ATM. My last weigh in was 76.4kg! I was 110kg with Craig before I stopped weighing myself, but with Ryan I managed to lose 5kg before falling pregnant and only got to 96kg.
Alicia - Hi! Damn straight! You said it.
I've been reading the BLS stuff with interest. I've noticed that Ryan can cope with finger food and much thicker purees than the traditional books suggest. I don't know if I'm brave enough to go fully BLS yet, but I'm keen.

We're all a very similar weight! I just hit the 75kg mark! Far cry from my usual 54kgs pre pregnancy but I'm getting back there! SLowly but surely! Keep up the great work girls!!! :D xoxox How are you going Sarah my lovely??
OMG cant believe Theo is clapping & Archie is waving! Soooo cute! Jealous! C'mon Cruz, time we pulled some new tricks out of the bag apart fom all these damn teeth haha - Although he is getting the hang of this crawling stuff, I wouldn't say he is crawling yet but getting there AND AND AND if you didn't see my proud as punch post on FB - He said his first word last Sunday! MUM! Stoked I am!!
When does everyone feed/sleep etc - What kind of routine (if any) goes on in your house in regards to feed, play, sleep, baths etc??? Interested to know how everyone fits in all the feeds before putting them down at 7pm and them not waking until 7am? Cruz does the same but that's with us waking him at 10pm for his last feed...
We do have a regular routine but it's pretty loose, if he wants to nap for 4 hours straight (and sometimes does!) that's no probs...
Generally, we wake up between 7-8 am, have 3 formula feeds through the day, 1 cereal feed for breakfast, 2 solids feeds of veg/fruit for lunch & dinner (always after a bottle), has anywhere between 3 - 5 hours total of naps through the day, bath at around 6pm, bed about 6:30pm, up for one last bottle at around 10pm, then back to bed, wakes between 7-8am again...
So to summarise, 4 formula feeds of 210ml, 1 feed of Rafferty's Garden Banana Porridge, 2 feeds of fruit/veg, 3-5hours of naps and 12 hours+ sleep through the night (minus time out for the last feed of course - half hour or so)
How does it go in your house? Very interested! Would love to somehow not have to wake him for that last feed and instead catch some early Zzzzzz's!!

hey alicia, can't beleive we're all around the same weight! haha! Kinda like the women who get AF around the same time because they hang out so much. argh, i talk crap dont i?! Cruz is a little champion!! What a great baby you have, lucky mummy! Theo doesn't nap anywhere near cruz. Today he had 2 naps, both 1 hr 15 each. Which im totally stoked about! very unusual! Normally i get the old 20 minute naps scattered throughout the day. He has 3 solid feeds a day. breakfast = toast/yoghurt/pureed fruit (depending on my mood), lunch = pureed fruit or vegies (today it was both, he was unusually hungry, lol), dinner - vegies. I often pack some cruskits or milk arrowroot biscuits in the nappy bag, as they keep him going if we're out and i don't have time to give him booby (mean aren't i?). He has probably around 5 boob feeds a day now, he has cut back since starting the solids properly. And im noticing the boob feeds he does have, are more of a feed feed... iykwim, rather than just a little slurp for the hell of it. haha! Dinner time is at 5:30. Bath immediately afterwards. But he doesn't go down for sleep until between 8:30 to 9:30. I think its hard for him to go down early because after ive done him, i then finish off our dinner, and feed us, then clean up. By the time i sit down with him and start relaxing its normally 8:00pm... so it takes a bit for us both to unwind.
He sleeps for a couple of hours, then wakes up and joins me in our bed... kinda a habit, oopsie!
The other night he slept from 9:00pm till 6:00am, then snoozed on off with me until 7:00am!!! No idea what i did differently, but i liked it! haha!!! But mind you his teeth are giving him hell atm, poor buggar!

Been trying to mash theos vegies now, as opposed to puree', i dont want him to get too used to the puree. as kaili did and we had a lot of trouble giving her ANYTHING with a slight texture later on. (now she eats normally, obviously.. but i think she was about 16 months before getting to this point).
theo slipped his hand on the polished floor today and head butted a wooden play block, he now has the imprint of the block on his nose :( first injury of many.. but still feel sorry for the poor fella!
suz glad to hear everything is going well at your house. Maybe you could do a little bit of finger foods as well as the puree'd types?? best of both worlds, hehe. Thats what i've been doing. Works well for us. Theo has his dinner, then he will sit in the high chair and have some of our normal food too. last night it was a lamb cutlet bone (most of the meat cut off), and i kept loading up the spoon with mash vege and handing him the spoon. Messy as hell, but now i have my ikea high chair i'm in heaven! haha!
My sister left her vegas husband last night, i had to go and pick her up from a servo. He's such a nice guy, shes such a *****, haha! But she admits it, so what can ya do? So last night my sis slept in kailis bed and kaili slept in ours. Kaili woke up this morning and said, "Daddy, wheres Kylie?", "She's sleeping in Kaili's bed hunny", "oh... so she doesn't sleep with dad??" "no hunny... she doesn't sleep with daddy", lol!!! I cracked up!

i use the tupperwear sippy cups for theo. I used them with kaili too.
they're soo super easy to clean, unlike the other sippy cups.
Water comes out quick, so it took him a day or so to learn.
The lids from the snack cups (tupperwear also), fit on top. So you put one of those lids on, and then pack the spout lid, and thats the drink of water for when we're out and about ;)
Im also just giving theo tap water now... not sure how ya'll feel about it, lol, but thats what im doing!
I figure he is crawling around every where now, putting his hands in his mouth.. eating dirt and grass when he's outside (i try to stop him, but somethimes im too late). So yeah!!

Sorry no persies but some woohoo news instead... DH said its ok if I stop taking the mini pill now and not "try" but see what happens when I start to get AF back..So in other words...a relaxed TTC journey for us.. :) I havent had AF yet anyway but I was sick of taking the stupid mini pills when Im not even Oing and the slim chance of getting pg on the 1st O would be a nice surprise.
I hope you are all well and your families too. V is constantly full of surprises. Love her to bits!

Hi all. We're getting ready to go away for the week & I keep thinking of things I need to take. I got out the plastic booster seat for dining chair & cleaned it and Mr I has been sitting in it outside as I hang the washing out - its so much better than leaving him inside! (I hang the washing from the verandah)
I bought a Magmag straw cup & Mr I loves it - I think he'd just drink water at meals if I gave him the cup with his food. Tap water here too for the same reason as Telly.
He's having three sleeps during the day (more or less if his brother is home he gets woken up or doesn't get to go to sleep sometimes) I feed to sleep so he has 3 bf plus maybe one more during the day, then one to go to sleep at night and one or two during the night, which works for us.
We went to lunch for my sister's b'day yesterday & I got a bowl of vegies and gave Mr I that. Not the whole bowl at once, but pieces on a plate. I should have specified no dressing 'cause it was oily (or buttery) and had a bit of salt on it too. I'm careful about salt as I heard that babies' kidneys can't process very much of it, but I guess once off won't hurt.

Hey Alicia - bit different in this house, Eden is going through a "i will refuse all bottles" phase at the moment, so we are trying different things, but mostly she just fits in with the others and their routine, comes with being the 3rd child I suppose?:
She usually wakes up around 7am, and then I'll get her dressed for the day, then she'll eat breakfast with the others (piece of toast, usually with vegemite, but I have none this morning so she is having it with hommus instead, and a piece of fruit, usually banana or pear) and then she'll have a botte around 9am. Then we walk up the street to check the mail, get back around 10.15.
Nap at usually around 10.30 or 11 - depends on if she falls asleep from our walk. Then she'll have another bottle around 1pm, and some lunch when DD1 wakes up (around 1.30 or 2pm), then she'll have another bottle at 4.30, dinner at 5.45, bath at 6.15, bottle at 6.45, and bed at 7pm. She has been waking up lately for a bottle at around 3.30am/4.00am, so thats why I don't give her a bottle at 7am, cos she won't drink it at all then.
So we don't particularly have a strict routine, but it always seems up to be doing the same things at the same time, so while it looks "strict" its really not. Just fits in with the other two!!
Natty - woohoo for casual ttc :) Awesomeness!!! We go through our stages here wanting to go another time, then not wanting to, so if I end up pregnant it will be because everything lined up perfectly (getting time to DTD at time of ovulation, no DS in our bed at that particular time, the fact that I don't fall asleep as soon as my head touches the pillow.... you get the idea!) So I'd be very surprised if I got pregnant this month, I'm not sure when its possible to get pregnant after ovulation, I'm assuming day 16 (And a half) on your cycle is a safe time, so no baby this month for us at least.. LOL
Yes we are quite casual about it, but we figure, if its supposed to happen - then we'll deal with it. What's one more in the great scheme of things.. LOL
Better go.... DS was bugging me for most of this post (which is why I dont' come on much anymore) and I found DD1 in our bedroom with a bowl of cheerios and milk happily tipping it on our carpet, and now DD2 has finished her breakfast - time to get ready for the day me thinks!!!

Both my computer and tapatalk are playing up most of the time so i haven't been able to post!!
I can't remember what everyone wrote but i'll do my best..
Archie still is in no routine at all, whatsoever!! He wakes up anywhere between 5am and 8am then needs another sleep about 2 hours later. He has about 3 naps in total anywhere between 15 mins and 1 hour (very rare). He usually has yoghurt or toast for breaky but he doesn't really like breaky so he doesn't eat much. He'll have some fruit or whatever I'm having for lunch and same for dinner but he really isn't that keen on solids yet so we are just taking our sweet time. He has a bath after dinner then is usually ready for bed at about 8-9pm.. He'll go down for about 30mins then wake up again and I usually just put him in the pram or cuddle him and if I'm lucky he'll go back to sleep but usually he'll be awake for another hour or so. Then he'll wake anywhere from 2-6 times for a feed during the night. Last night was only twice which was great! So, you can see why I've been stressing out about him not having a routine and the thought of having another baby!! Hopefully the next one will LOVE to sleep!

Hi Girls - yet again I haven't been getting notifications! It's a long weekend here in Perth, yippee.
Yay Natty - good luck with the casual TTC'ing.......I was just thinking the other day that in 6 months I'll be starting all over again with the whole TTC ride. I really don't know when to start not using protection though, I didn't bother going back on the pill and AF is regular as clockwork. I keep thinking I don't want to have a baby too close to Amelia's birthday but if I start trying the end of the year and it takes a few months like last time then it will be lol. I'm not quite ready to get pregnant again though, I'd gladly be pregnant but I just want to get my pre pregnancy body back before I chuck on the weight again first and I want to enjoy Amelia for just a little longer. I need to work out what's happening at work anyway, not sure whether to try and get some part-time work at home (which would be fab but I doubt they'll do).....at least then if I do get pregnant within a few months of that I'll qualify for maternity leave again - although I'd need to look into their policy for part-time workers, might not make any difference. The 2 months pay was handy however! Anyway, going to go into work soon and see what I can work out with my lovely boss before he leaves in November.
Well it's interesting to see everyone's routines for feeding/sleeping etc. I wanted to ask if anyone else was having troubles with their bubs taking all their milk now they're on solids? I assume dropping back on the formula is normal given the solids are now filling her up, I read somewhere they should still be getting at least 600mls of milk a day with 3 solids but the last few days Amelia has been only taking around 450-500 mls in a day. She just doesn't want to finish it, even pushes it away but when I pull out the solids, yes please! lol She isn't losing weight so I guess I shouldn't worry but I might go see the health nurse this week and chat with her just to double check. I tried avocado on Friday and she hated it, someone said to try banana with it so will give that a go next time. What else can I try? I haven't tried carrot yet, just pumpkin and sweet potato so might try potato and carrot next. Any greens other than avocado that you can think of besides broccoli? I don't want to try that yet as my friend said it's given her baby really bad wind pain so no thanks! Amelia is doing great though, dropping the 3rd nap has worked so far and funnily enough she's been sleeping even better at night, she's not fussing at all until about 5.00 am, she either has this little whinge in her sleep which I'm now learning ignore (yay) or she starts talking. She's discovered she can scream (awesome) but it's quite funny as well. Anyway, this morning I just went in and did the dummy thing to stop her talking - and she went back to sleep until 7.00 am. She's also lasting a little longer between sleeps and sleeping for a good 1.5 hours sometimes 2 - I've been reading a bit of the Baby Bliss book on sleep/awake patterns for 6 month olds. Here's her new routine that seems to work so far:
Up 7.00 am - bottle followed by rice cereal or Rafferty's banana porridge
Nap between 9.00 and 9.30 am
Up again between 10.30 and 11.00
11.00ish - Bottle
12.00/12.30 - solids
Down for nap around 1.30 pm
Up around 3.00 pm
Bottle 3.00/3.30
Dinner (solids) 5.00/5.30
Bath around 6.00 pm
Last bottle around 6.30 pm
Bed around 7.00 pm
Of course it's not strict but is very much around these times, Amelia has always like a routine so it works well for me. As you know though it could all go to crap any day ha ha. The last stretch of awake time between her 2nd nap and bedtime is quite long, if she gets really tired I'd just let her go down for a bit of a recharge but she has lasted so far so I'm just going with the flow at the moment.
Anyway, that's my thing for now, will see how it goes lol.

AFM - Amelia's tooth is through, it's hard to catch as she puts her tongue in the way but you can definitely feel the sharp ridges and see a glimpse when she smiles, it's so cute - I think the one next to it isn't too far away either. Gosh our babies are growing up so fast, it's kinda sad huh!
Oh and for a bit of useless info, I just went to go change my signature picture and realised my joining date was the 30th November 2008 - that's exactly 1 year to the day that Amelia was born, is that freaky or what!

So i was talking to DH about it, tomorrow is the beginning.. i'm going to get back on track! I was looking at my ww book, and its taken me 8 weeks to lose 3 kg. WTF?! lol!! Sooo tomorrow is day 1! Tomorrow I will try harder. Fingers crossed for Theo's toofy pegs, I reckon part of the wonder week was her tooth getting ready to come through so I reckon you're almost there too. xx

Also with your baptism, we had to have theos during the normal church service (same with kailis). But even with the church service, it was a max of 1 hour. Then we organised for a lunch bbq back at our house for a private party. The minister wanted us to go to church first, 'to get a feel for everything'. But we didn't.. haha! We just went to the private meeting the day before, and she briefly ran through the service so we had an idea what to say and when. hth. xxoo
