well poop!
I just missed out for this group! :P but I'm still gonna come in and annoy you girlies
0o0o0oh Storm about to hit us here in Melbourne!!!
Last night was as good as can be expected at this age she fed off only one side at 10:30, 1:00, 2:00 then went through to 5:30 this morning. I ended up sleeping on the couch with her as she loves to feed then cuddle up on the boomerang pillow on my lap, plus I needed some sort of sleep so just went with it. Right nipple seems to be alot better today, didn't give it a whole 24 hrs as I pumped but didn't get much out but could still feel lumpy on the breast so it didn't drain enough and I don't want my supply to dwindle.

Had a shocker of a night last night! 11pm to 5:30am she was crying/screaming. I think it was gas. I've changed to pigeon bottles. I'm hoping that helps tonight.
Heh, annoy away - I don't think a day makes much difference![]()
hope tonight is better with the change of bottles. It does take them alot longer to drink from those ones. Also the head of the nursery at the hospital we had bubs in, taught us to use tummy time to help with gas pains. just pop her on her tummy with her head to the side, arms either side of her head and legs however she wants them. You then rub their back or apply gentle pressure just above where their nappy sits.
Helped my DD get rid of a really big fart or too
Of course you can't walk away from them when they are on their tummy. It is also helpful for telling if they are actually hungry or not, or whatever. 10mins to the truth she called it

Nikky I missed the group by 1 day. Can't find the next group up.
Wow I've woken up with Mount Everist for my right boob and a warm left boob (his least favorite boob). Going go offer the left more today. We have a bad feeding pattern due to jaundice marking him sleepy.
Nikky and AM please stay with us wouldn't be the same. With DS2 I missed the group being one day early but stayed anyway.
Gosh I got so much milk the poor thing can't drain them enough although today she has fed 10-11 times and I'm still pretty full. Pumping is useless as I'm getting next to nothing out so it's all bub to boob for me.
She wil think it's Xmas. Have you tried hand expressing?
Well my big boy is out under the lights, I'm meant to be going to sleep but I'm not sure I can
I feel badly for my hubby, he stayed the first two night but couldn't tonight. I've text him a few time when feeding and he's answered in seconds so I'm guessing hes not sleeping well either.
Bad start to the day for me, bubs refused the boob. Completley unintersted. Was fine at her 3:30pm feed except she was really fussy and didn't want to go on at first. Sigh.
I guess it's my pump for me today.

Hoping Levi kicks the jaundice really quick for you AM so you can go home
Went out for dinner last night with some friends, Alex coped fine other than finding it hard to concentrate on his feed at one place cause it was pretty noisy and busy - think he got a little over-stimulated and cranky. So we pulled off to the side of the road as we were going home to feed him and settle him.
DD is absolutely fascinated, but I keep having to remind her that she needs to be patient and that he won't really play much until later. But he smiled at me this morning! Unless it was a wind-smile, but it was pretty convincing as it was a really big wide smile![]()
AM I'm just feeding as much as possible and when she goes longer i try to wake her but she is a good feeder feeding I think 12-13 times yesterday. Her feeding drains me alot better than the pump so thats why i ended up putting her back on the damaged side as well.
CK yay for going out to dinner.
I felt like a walking zombie this morning.
Ok so here is the scary thing.....I'm home!!
His score went from 10 to 240 with 9 hours of lights. I'm impressed, still a little yellow in the eyes but all good suggested I keep him in the window for a few days to pink up some more.
What do I do now? No headache or jaundice crib to upset him, I think he will be a relaxed little fellow.
Amumma so glad your little one is doing better. Jaundice is a yucky thing
Danium I hope your damage gets better soon. Lots of breastmilk and air drying helped heal my blisters quickly.
CK, so cute when they smile! My DD has started doing that alot. Once I started smiling at her, I got smiles back its darling
WEW we seem to have turned a corner, bubs has had 2 feeds today and no bottle. Settled down after each one for a couple hours sleep. I'm stoked!

That's awesome Lolpigs
We had a nice day out at Kings Park, getting the hang of the alfresco b/f and wondering why it is that even when he's covered by a wrap and asleep on my shoulder random women want to uncover and cluck over him...
Oh and he peed on me. Cheeky little beggar![]()
We are home. Has been good tonight bathed, fed and had a small sleep.
Heya girls,
My medela swing pump arrived yesterday! so I have been pumping away! so far so good
So, Harriett has had a cold for a few days now, and Zoe has had a snotty nose for a cple of daysmy poor bub...tis hard to see her struggling to breathe when you hear the snot go down the back of her throat
Gonna be a lonnnnnnnnnnng night methinks!
Hope you girls and the babes are all goin well xxx
Lolpigs yep I'm going bra free at all times except when visitors turn up or I go out and expressing boobie milk and air drying after each feed.
Left nipple is pretty close to being healed and the right is on the mend. I think I caused extra damage by feeding laying in bed so it's to the couch for every feed until she's a bit bigger I think, which is a shame cos you get so much more sleep if bub is in bed with you.
She seems to sleep well in the bassinet though.
Awww Nikky hope Harriet & Zoe get better real quick.
