Could just be the 6 week rash maybe? Alex had a red bumpy rash around his neck and especially under his chins for about a week or two, didn't put anything on it and it's cleared up by itself. Looks horrible but usually nothing to worry about, just make sure to wash under the folds regularly and try to make sure they're dried properly.
I hoping so girls it's only a hormonal thing or heat rash. Someone mentioned Eczema on FB and I freaked out once I googled it for the info. Arghhh I tell people off for dr googling and I done it myself.
Amanda I always found with AF cramps the secret was to pop the pain killers at the first sign of cramping before they set in and I found this especially true this time round with the afterbirth pains - I had strong after pains for at least a week and I was popping panadol 6 hrly around the clock.

ive got an annoying itchy rash on my face / neck.. violet has fungal nappy rash (still trying to get rid of it) and SIL said it could be a rash ive caught from her nappy rash?! sounded unlikely to me and stupid dr google (hehe danni i do it all the time) didnt really give me an answer! guess ill checkwith GP friday if its still around!
oh i was wondering, is anyone else's bubs heads still crooked? violet's came out crooked... and its still crooked! ill tell the dr next friday but its not really improving! She also refuses to have her head to the left hand side when sleeping.. she hates it. have tried to turn it that way and she either wont let you, or turns it straight back!
Amanda, we are dealing with a flat head here. Levi's head is flat on the left.
We tilt his shoulders so he has to lay on his right side, we prop his shoulder up on the change table so his head sits on the right more. The reading we did said that more tummy time and sitting up (more for older kids) helps because there is no pressure on the head. We hold him on our left so the right side of the head is the one getting pressure. Babies head plates dont stop fussing until they are 18 months old so we arent going to see a pediatrician yet. If they get to 12 months and there is no change they give them a helmet to help shape the head. Levi's is from being vacuumed out, was suctioned on the right side, so laid on the left side because of the bruse. We never noticed until it was very obvious. We have been making these changes for a week and I believe I can see a difference already, the slant isnt as sharp (if that makes sense).
AM probably has the best advice, I'm no help in that department as my babies have never suffered with a flat heads.
Put some sudocream on Abby and her face is alot better today.

Not me I was well asleep by then! Ok so small triumph, I am more often than not getting DD settled in both bassinette and cot, if I put her in them drowsy and keep her calm and with dummy she goes to sleep on her own. No more holding or rocking to sleep from me. It is getting better, however one thing I have noticed is that a) she loves her love to sleep wrap because she can starfish and b) she settles rapidly on her side.. anyone else have this? I dare not leave her on her side so after she is sleeping I gently move her to her back but risk stirrng her :/

We stayed up till midnight. First time in YEARS tho! And it wasn't because it was NYE either. Just wasn't tired!
LOL - I leave Zoe on her side to sleep. She loves it. But, I am also co sleeping with her so we are face to face the whole night. She LOVES sleeping that way!
Seriously, it is going to be 40 here tomorrow :| ... and I STILL have a silly head cold!! joy oh joy

They promote sleeping baby on their backs to prevent SIDS.
Zoe prefers to sleep on her side, and as I am with her when she sleeps I am happy to let her do this. Harriett was the same.
Just found this on the SIDS site, I highlighted the part I personally think is more of a prevention
Since it’s inception in the early 1990’s, the campaign has reduced the incidence of SIDS by 85% saving over 6500 babies lives. Vigilance is still required in delivering our Safe Sleeping message to the broad community as sadly the cause of sudden infant death syndrome remains unknown with more research into the cause still needed.
How to Sleep your Baby Safely:
1. Sleep baby on the back from birth, not on the tummy or side
2. Sleep baby with face uncovered (no doonas, pillows, lambs wool, bumpers or soft toys)
3. Avoid exposing babies to tobacco smoke before birth and after
4. Provide a safe sleeping environment (safe cot, safe mattress, safe bedding)
5. Sleep baby in their own safe sleeping environment next to the parent’s bed for the first six to twelve months of life
Happy New Year We had some friends over for a bbq so I was up but we were too busy talking to notice till 15 minutes after. Oh well..
Alex likes to starfish too - I don't wrap him, so when I put him down he usually wriggles a bit the it's one hand uo behind his head so he can stroke his hair and the other flung straight out. Looks super cute
Last night I put him down a bit after 9pm in his cot, we moved him at 3am to his cradle when our friends left and we went to bed and didn't wake till nearly 5am! My boobs were so sore and full - he had a huge feed then went back to sleep until 8 Here's hoping he'll do it again tonight....
Thanks Nikky Seems Lilly likes it too I was just worried about sids, guess it is ok during the day when I'm awake and can check on her, and at night she will have to go onto her back in the Cot although I'm working on getting her to settle in there at night too, howeveer she seems to prefer her cot.
Wow big sleeps CK, Lilly did 6:30p, - 12:30pm last night, then 1am - 5am (with a wake inbetween becuase she got a compression leak bah) and then slept from 9:45am - 12:30am with a wake inbetween. I just keep putting her down now to sleep if she wakes as I know she isn't hungry from her cry, just annoyed she woke up
Sleeping her in her Cot and Bassinette definatley mean she sleeps longer. She keeps hitting herself in the Face CK which is why I had to look into a wrap that let her sleep with her arms up but so it would not let her wake herself. Such a fusspot I have here
She's also started taking 150ml now each feed so it means she sleeps longer. I have noticed that I've been missing some of her sutble tired signs becuase she likes to hide them too sneaky thing, so now she is only staying awake 30mins or so after a feed before she starts yawning, then grumps for 20mins in her cot becuase she wants to stay awake then goes to sleep LOL
