Ok no more food for Lilly, soon as I fed her today all afternoon she was unsettled and had 45min sleeps, she now overtired as she normally likes 5 hours of Naps so is nuts atm Will have to try again in a few weeks time.

No harm in waiting a little longer and trying again. Has the Dr said anything about upping her meds for the reflux?

I haven't given Alex any more today, he was straining a bit to get his 3 days worth of poo out so figured I'd give his system a bit of a break. Might try him on some avocado in a day or so. At least his day sleeps seem to be sorting themselves out, he's a funny little ratbag, has taken to wanting 15-20 mins wind down time in his cot by himself before he'll then cuddle in for a feed and go to sleep. And I've been a lot better since moving him into his cot, I think all his little noises and wriggling in the night was disturbing my sleep so I was always waking up tired.

Thanks Amanda for the tip. Will ask my paed next time I'm there.

CK meds were increased by 5 mg but it's not helping. She has only slept a total of one hour in 4 different all day. When she's awake she's unhappy. It's very difficult.

It is much better once they are in their own room and banana can be constipating for babies. Maybe try a purée easier for his system to digest.

Lol food had the same effect for us too. I'm dreading trying again at 6 months.

I think it was just him with the poo - he finally got it out and it wasn't hard or too much lumpier than usual, sort of just normal runny mustard with a few black banana threads through it. He still doesn't really like poo day, which is usually every 3-4 days or so.

Levi has had trouble pooing the last 2 days, I've been calling it a progressive poo lol. Would brown sugar and water help him not be so constipated?

I think while there BFeeding it's pretty normal as long as they aren't in pain etc. to go every few days.

I think Abby is getting closer to starting solids, she is starting to glare at me while I eat. I got some baby rice cereal to take away with us so if I think she needs some I've got it on me at least. I don't want to leave it too long that she becomes real hungry and starts waking of a night again, she's been sleeping all night for a while now so don't wanna mess with that.

Got my hair cut and colored today and DH doesn't like it . I got rid of my long hair and opted for a concave hairdoo instead - needed a change!

I wish Lilly pooed that infrequently 3 times at least a day here.. and at least 1 poonami LOL

Yeah me too Jan.. I'm kinda scared to try again Lilly wants 5 hours sleep a day and if she has solids it just dosent happen and she is miserable. sigh.

Oh wow Lolpigs 3 times a day!? Abby is normally once a day but then sometimes she'll skip a day.

I think solids are on the horizon unfortunately, she's getting hungrier the last few days but she is still only having 150mls of milk. Funnily enough she's finishing all her bottles now but I have on occasion made up a 200ml bottle and she either won't finish it or if she comes close to finishing it she'll have a little spew.

Oh Abby also had an on the move type day . Everytime she was on the floor she was constantly rolling over and really trying to crawl and get frustrated so you roll her back for a break and she'd do the same almost immediately. It's strange cos she went from yesterday just laying on her back to today of constant rolling, must have been a lightbulb moment for her!

Haven't heard from Molly or Nikky in a while.

We are heading off on Thursday for our holiday so I won't be around as much while we aren't in service etc. hopefully Abby is a happy camper

*grin* Also completely normal - it's just luck of the draw I guess. Sometimes Alex does poo a bit more frequently, especially if he hasn't done one for a while. And they're huge - they'd never be contained by a disposable nappy, so I'm glad I'm using cloth!

Who knew that one day we would we talk about poo?! Gus goes about 5 times a day!
He loves rice cereal with EBM, not too sure about pumpkin. Going to try pear next.
And yes - he has reflux and thanks for the suggestions and support everyone!

Are your bubs still swaddled? Or in sleeping bags? Any recommendations? I think it will be a huge change to stop swaddling him (will do it progressively) and am tempted by the merino kids go go bags but they are quite expensive (although do last until 2yrs).

Jessica still needs to be wrapped. She's in a mum2mum wrap. Found it at David jones, they last until 9kg so awhile to go. It is great at keeping her arms in. She looks like a mummy in it and she can't escape.

Yesterday and today have been better, higher med must be kicking in. Though still very worried about starting solids at 6 months.

I think cross that bridge when you come to it. Her reflux may have improved by then, or at least not be aggravated by the food. Glad to hear you've had a couple of better days

Danni, wow @ Abby's sudden movement! She must have been like OH I get it now!!!! violet still doesnt roll, heh, she's too chubby!

CK wow theres huge variances in poo quantities hey! Glad to hear its all normal, thank you! Violets are not that big luckily, just very frequent!

K&G yeah I'm having the same dilemma with wrapping- violet is in the same love to swaddle ones with the arms up like Gus.. She needs the next size up now as she's over te 8.5 kg maximum and I'm trying to wrk out if I buy new ones or try sleeping bags!! I tried her in a Bonds sleeping bag the other day for a day sleep cos she had wet thru the wraps and she didnt sleep!! Her hands distracted her!!

Jan that's so good that the meds seem to be helping! I'm with CK, hopefully the reflux has settled before you start her on solids again.. I the gastro paed appt before she turns 6months?

Glad to hear things have been better Jan Things are better here too. It will be scary trying solids again but we will just take the plunge then 6 months is a big change with their gut so hopefully all works out.

Re: the sleeping bag, if you dont mind a few nights of interrupted sleep you can just go for it, and they do get used to it, but if you want to do gradual you can start with the one arm out, then both etc. Either way if they are dependant on wrapping there will be sleeplessness as they get used to it, just one of those things.

I use grobags, but buy them new from ebay for half the price as in store. I find the tog system easier to figure out for dressing for tempreatures.

I just got sick of Lilly busting out so went straight to the sleeping bag and after a week or so she got the idea and is fine with them now.

Pumpkin patch is doing a sale of winter stuff for those interested, the only time I buy from them is when they are on sale haha.

I use grobags for Alex too, or sometimes the cheaper knock off ones. Definitely get them from ebay or other online stores as in the shops they're a bit pricey. A few of mine are second hand and you'd never be able to tell, they're in perfect condition.

Yay, Alex has finally got the rolling over back to front worked out! Now just to figure out front to back, because now he gets stuck on his tummy He's also grabbing toys dangled over his head pretty reliably now, unfortunately they all seem to be the noisy ones!

Levi has had a big week, can roll over completely now. Grabs at everything and can take his dummy out and put it back 7/10 attempts.

Teeth havent progressed any further though.

Im on my second period, since he was born
