i still cannot get my head around that your dd is up to her 2 month vaccs lol! i had always assumed that they would be age adjusted...ahhh my ignorance knows no bounds lol. she is creeping up to my DD1s birth weight! your DS was a wee bub too wasnt he?

i think that the only reason i am sleeping through alot of it is due to us co-sleeping and my boob always within millimeters of her

the only thing that really gets her cross are her bowel movements hahaha! she is so not impressed with that whole process poor poppet.

    Hi ladies,

Sorry I haven't been around much. I've been following on my phone but haven't had the chance to get on the PC.

Miss K has been fairly unsettled the last few days and I've been suffering from severe sleep deprivation. Luckily DH has been around b/c otherwise I don't know how I'd cope. Mind you, he's back at work tomorrow.

Feel for Miss R but she is doing fairly well adjusting to having Miss K around and sometimes having to wait for DH or I to help her/get her lunch etc....

I've tried co-sleeping but I get less sleep I think b/c I am nervous about Miss K ending up under the covers plus she doesn't feed well b/c I am using nipple shields still. We are trying to wean off them but Miss K is a little miffed without them!

So glad to hear your girls are going well.

    x

oh man. we had two very unsettled nights...i am floored Seriously, you'd think that 3 kids in with the second kid only being 2 that i would of remembered the zombie stage hahaha! ahhh how we are eager to forget! thankfully we had a sunny day today and friends invited us to a local music festival with hat making competition for the kids lol. i think i needed the sunshine to keep my spirits up. i hope that we have a less fraught night tonight...she really hates pooping

    Hi everyone!

This little girl seems pretty unsettled. Unless there is boob in her mouth. Then she's ok. Hard on her big sissah though.

Got home this morning, had a big cooked brekkie, then snuggled into bed with my girl. I'm recovering really well, feeling great. Going to start sewing frills and ruffles at the first opportunity.

Go miss K! How's big sister? Loving miss K?

Koala bear (miss A's new nn) has been feeding constantly the past couple of days. Wondering whether she's having a growth spurt..

    Hi girls!

Klee: soo jealous that both boys get a daycare day! DD1 has kinder but poor DD2 missed out on a spot. so have to wait until january for her spot...argh! could do with a quiet only with the new baby day.

RCC: oh wow! great weight gain i am loving those wake up times too!!! totally green with envy!

Schonell: I am thinking that DD3 is also having a growth spurt. my milk has now trebled in supply i reckon! and she is feeding ALOT. she is now beginning to stretch the boundaries of some of her 0000s.

AFM: all good here we had a night of horror last night in that she was unsettled with a sore tummy from 6.30pm to 10.30pm and then woke again around 2ish and was really unhappy then too. poor poppet. i just have so much milk that she really gets a sore tummy from it but hopefully it will go like with the other girls and she will learn to process it all in the coming couple of weeks...can live in hope right
loving that we have some warmer weather though! i get to take her out under the trees and just chill out and watch the big girls ride their bikes and play outside...not to mention BBQs! i have my mum and grandfather visiting from QLD so there are 7 ppl in a 2 bedroom house! crazy. i will be bonkers by the end hahaha (mum decided to stay 2 weeks )....

    Hey crew!

Storm baby sure is feisty. We have cracked out the dummy (a big deal in my world) and I spent most of yesterday crying, only for her to have a wonder night with only one waking! So today I feel a bit better about things.

Have to run, first drs appt in 20 minutes! And DD1 still on the boob. Eeep!

Audax: *snap* we have similar babies i think lol. I have been having fantasies about dummies must.buy.one. (and yes, a very big deal for me to get to this point too hahaha). all i can say is thank goodness i am eating my own placenta hahaha (ok, i had to make that sound gross just to get a chuckle in...the pill form they come in make it all seem very proper and middle class i must say lol)...i swear those wee little pills are the only thing keeping me chugging along on the crazy boob days.

big hugs for the big cry too my IM told me that it is ok to cry every now and then...think i will take her up on it soon...especially with all the people in my house...and one bathroom.

oversupply can suck big time. just putting it out there. had the MACH nurse tell me not to complain as undersupply is worse. yep, totally get that, but oversupply is it's own curse in that the tired factor is HUGE, that i cannot even bend over to put my knickers on without spraying all over the floor..and said knickers. not to mention the constant mastitis threat...and well, wet tshirt competitions eat your heart out lol. and of course poor bub. they always tell you that you cannot over feed a BF bub, but tell ya what, you can give them the irrits with a sore belly!

    ok, vent over

    Hi ladies,

I wrote a post the other day (via my iPhone) and it appears it either didn't post or BB ate it :-/

schonell - Miss R is coping well with Miss K in the family, although she does get a little shoved to the side at times, which I feel for her but she is a trooper and is a very helpful big sister. She will kiss and cuddle Miss K when upset or chat to her when she is feeding or having a kick/nappy free time on the floor.

So glad to hear your little one is doing so well! I am fairly sure Miss K had a growth spurt last week (week 3) as her weight gain was huge and she had grown in length and head circumference.

Cassius - How are you going with the engorgement? Is it settling down at all? I hope it does soon for you & bubs.
OMG - so many people staying with you - can't they stay elsewhere and just come over for visits? That is madness! Hopefully they can keep your other girls entertained.

Audax - haha re: feisty storm baby! You are amazing tandem feeding! I can't get my head around feeding one, let alone two! (I ff DD #1 so I have no idea what I am doing!)

    Great weight gain too!

I feel for you if bubs has reflux - my gf bubs had reflux and was feeding him 2 hrly just to keep him happy. He'd only be happy with boob b/c of the pain he was in :-(

I'd take your midwife up on her offer - see if she can help with other things rather than bubs if bubs is settled enough.

HPL - Your DD sounds so gorgeous - so cute when they are protective of their sibling! Sounds like your little man is doing so well!

AFM - Miss K is doing ok. She is fussing a bit on the breast b/c I am trying to stop using the nipple shields b/c they are a PITA to be honest. If the seal breaks I leak milk everywhere and end up smelling of milk all day (unless I change) and it leaves a nice milk spot/stain on my clothes. I think that is why she is fussing b/c she tended to not have to work as hard with the shields (they tend to 'fill up' so she doesn't have to suck as hard). I am giving it a good go & have the shields on hand JIC. She is a lot more settled today plus it was so damn hot in Melbourne yesterday that I think she was uncomfortable feeding right against me, so I sat right under the aircon & fan and it seemed to help a bit. Trying to get her day & nights sorted but she is still all over the place. She is unsettled nights/early mornings but I am just trying to be consistent with the day and night feeds & hopefully she'll sort herself out. She gets weighed next week & I am hoping for a gain b/c I really have no idea about bf since DD#1 was ff.... I speak to my friends and some have given me some advice but it seems they were flying blind a bit even with subsequent babies.....

    Cuddles to the bubbas x

    hi girls!

Audax: oh crap on the ants! thankfully pests down here in melbourne are pretty minimal...i remember those tiny black bitey ants...little terds

RCC: way to go on the BF i have heard that the nipple shields are awesome and annoying all rolled into one. I am soo not worried about the milk on my top lol...i just seem to have milk all over myself ATM i always forget to put breastpads on and then it is really tragic when we are out and i am feeding from one side and spraying everywhere out through the top on the other hahaha.
i reckon there must be a 3 week growth spurt then! i swear that DD3 has grown ginormous this week and is generally coming out of her total newborn shell ITMS.

thankfully the engorgement is momentarily under control unless we go longer than 2ish hours and then they get sore and need to expressed off. but with this bubs that long between feeds is a rarity haha.

Schonell: YAY for your DD soon she will be out of the 00000 if she is cracking the 3kg mark! my DD3 was only in 00000 for about a week and a bit...(she was 3.1 at birth). now she is fitting perfectly the 0000s...but i reckon 000s are close to getting ready. these babies are growing way too fast...it's like "YAY" and "AWWW not too fast" all at once!

AFM: all good here DD3 even managed to only wake up once overnight . probably just the heat lol. but i rolled with it lol. although i have to sheepishly admit that i jabbed her in the ribs around 5am as i had completely soaked the bed in milk and my right boob was threatening to explode and disown me. thankfully though she didnt really wake and just ate hahaha.

what do you guys do for heat rash? DD3 has a bit from all the sweat and i have been giving her cooler baths but dont have any powders or anything...wondering if i should get some??
