Epic weight gain RCC! She must be on a good paddock, as my mum would say! Obviously plenty of milk at your house.
We seem to be alternating good days and bad. I'm cool with that. Stayed up stupidly late last night working on the tiny one's Christmas outfit. Regretting that now.
Both kids asleep, and given the choice, I have gone for a meal eaten in peace, rather than a nap. Might regret that later.
Had our 7 day check-up (at 9 days...) and my little porker weighs 3.64kg - an almost-400g gain in a week and now 200g above her birth weight. Aww! She is really unsettled today, I have been a bit lucky that this is the first unsettled day she has had so far. Both my girls had a little party last night at 2.30am, not sure who woke who but they were full of beans and stayed up for an hour. *groan*
Woohoo go the weight gain RCC! Looks like you have some super boobies there! Well done!
RCC: that is fantastic weight! wahoo! what a relief it must be that you can now BF with confidence knowing that she is getting what she needs...and then some!
37 on the weekend?? sheesh this place is weird!
Indad: that is epic weight gain for your bubs too! especially only 1 week in! super boobs! i also cannot wait to read your epic birth story take your time though...i love the process of writing it and getting to relive it...
Audax: hhmm see, i woulda chosen the food over sleep too. a meal in peace, and with both hands free is precious lol!
AFM: now that the poo dam has broken we have a very happy little baby loads of gummy grins and the occasional big belly laugh. yesterday we grooved out to blondie's 'heart of glass' and she was laughing like a dirty old man...ahahhhaahahaaa! love it!
Just stopping past to announce that at 3:28pm on friday we welcomed our lil man Mason Hunter to the world.
He was 10 pound 12, 58cm long and head circumference of 38.5cm.
After a few lil complications following the c-section we are now all at home resting
He is just so precious and is feeding & sleeping like an angel.
I hope all the other mums and bubs are doing well xxx
I hope you and your bubbas are well. All good here. Was suppose to go to my OBS for my post partum check up but it had to be re-scheduled for a fortnights time, which I am cool about. I feel fine & my scar is healing nicely now so no need for a check up anyway.
Sharni - Congratulations on the birth of your little man! I hope you are enjoying your babymoon
Indad - Loved reading your birth story! Congratulations again
ah crap! you reminded me that i need to organise my 6 week check with my midwife. i keep forgetting. must be the lack of sleep or something
we are all pretty good here too. although last night we had 3 hours of shenanigans from DD3 between 8.30pm and 11.30pm. but thankfully after that it was all back to normal. but she has started to get a bit of a blocked nose the joys of older siblings!
we are busy planning a road trip to wollongong for christmas...wish us luck
just had a massive bleed called my IM and now have to go back to bedrest and keep tabs on my temp...could mean a trip to hospital...wwaaaah! it does seem to have settled but now am super dizzy. sucks man!
ended up having to call an ambulance as i had another big bleed not long after i posted and my IM called it action stations. do off we went. spent the last 2 nights at the womens hooked up to an IV. so weird being on a postnatal ward! my baby was ginormous compared to all the newbies lol! we got a lovely private room with double bed which was great and the staff were awesome. and even better was that my midwife friend was working postnatal that weekend . back home, but feeling really yuk. hope i get back on track soon
Coming up to 3 weeks here (although I don't want her to be growing too quickly, so I say two and a half and a bit weeks )
Frustrating times for me this week Uterine infection, UTI, ANOTHER lot of antibiotics. My tear isn't healing, so 2-3 weeks of bedrest (over Christmas, yeah ok...). Had another blood test to check my iron because of persistant bright-red blood loss and losing clots, dizziness, headaches, and other wonderful symptoms.
Fortunately, DD2 is chugging along perfectly and we're not having any sleep or bfing issues. My partner has just started 5 weeks off which will make rest easier.
