Hello lovelies!!
wow! i have been totally MIA! it has been crazy town no end for us.
Mia!! Fantastic to hear from you!! hmmm dont really have much recommendations on the baby wipes. we too tend to go water and cloth. i know that my local organic grocer store has some disposable wipes that are all natural. they are in a green packet...so cannot remember the name...that's not really helpful is it??
we are like LM and also do baby led solids so bub just eats the same meals as us. she loves corn on the cob, beetroot sticks, avocado on toast etc. lamb chops are a BIG hit lol.
the nappy rash does sound promising for teeth! i notice that DD3 gets a rash on her bum and around her mouth in the lead up too. she has two wee teeth on the bottom gum...so cute!
LM: how is bub now? that is so sad about the infection woes :( poor poppet! we have been the house of snot for almost 2 months now. it seems that whenever DD2 goes to childcare she brings home Mr Germ and his mates. So.Over.It.
Hope everyone else is going well :D
AFM: we have had a huge few months. as i typed awhile ago now, DD3 began to have seizures. thankfully they tapered off after a month and only recently has started up again. I hope that it never gets as bad as it was. we are down to 3 monthly appts with her Neurologist, but it does look as though they will continue until she is 2 years old just to keep track on her development etc. but we are confident that it is benign.
the not so great news however is that we got a phone call to come in from the neuro and he told us that her ECG did not come back normal :( it has shown a repolarisation abnormality and right ventricular hypertrophy. we have an urgent referral to cardiology but even though it is urgent it could take another month before she is seen. in the meantime i am very stressed and worn out as she has been waking some nights every 1/2 hour all night. (the seizures and general unwellness is waking her). i have never been so tired in all my life.
some more positive news though is that we have bought our dream home in the country! we are moving to a gorgeous old victorian place on one acre. it is just so gorgeous and I am really excited. also stressed as we now need to sell this place and pack up and move etc. but so looking forward to starting a new adventure! 6 bedrooms! room for more babies hahahahahaha!

Hi all,
I've been around but lack of time has prevented me from saying hi and I did take a self imposed ban for about a month as I was getting too distracted with social media and needed some much needed time away just being with my family and looking after myself.
Cassius - So sorry to hear about your little lady, I can't imagine how stressful the situation must be for you all. I hope there is nothing to worry about in the long run. Congrats on the house purchase! How exciting! (I think you were over the North? side of the CBD)
LM - Bugger about the infection. This time of year, with the colder weather brings about the most awful illnesses and they seem to be worse from previous years. How are you going with your hubby being away? Are you ok?
Mia - Congrats on your little one and welcome back. I don't know of any natural wipes but some people make their own from papertowel etc... I am fairly sure you can google or otherwise purchase reuseable ones? Same with Cassius & LM we pretty much follow BLW. I have borrowed a few books from the library for other breakfast and lunch ideas. Veggie Smugglers is a good one. I made up some tuna and grated zucchini balls the other day - both Miss K & I had them for lunch and they were yummy and super easy to make.
AFM: Both Miss R & Miss K have a terrible cough and I am hoping that it will run it's course over the next week or so. Miss R's bff at school has glandular fever and I just hope that Miss R & Miss K don't have that, although not much apart from rest you can do for it (or so I have read).
Miss K is still not crawling and I was a little worried as she hardly bares any weight on her legs if you stand her up, so off we went and got a referral for an X-Ray to rule out hip dysplasia which come back all clear. Seems she is just lazy! haha. I also got a hearing test as she was fairly non-responsive on the right hand side. The audiologist was happy with the result but wants a follow up in two months just to be sure. He seems to think it was due to a little fluid behind the ear, which is probably from this cough / virus thing she has.
We are off the Hamilton Island in approx. 3 weeks - can't wait! Only going for 5 days but looking forward to our first family holiday together and warmer weather!
