Yes I guess it could be a growth spurt. She is already in the 90th percentile ha ha. And she has just ticked over into a long day sleep (1.5-2 hrs) so thats good!
Has anyone got a bumbo? I just bought one online.
Fuzzy - some of the mums in my Mother' Group (MG) are saying their bubs are not sleeping as well just lately and needing more feeds and cuddles. Maybe Chloe is going through a growth spurt? Thanks for noticing the new pic... thought it was time to update. Some really nice ones that DH took are still on the camera.

Fuzzy - I have heard they are great. Some friends of mine had one and raved. When do they suggest to start using them? Good work Miss C on the long sleep!
Dory - I think they start about now. I just noticed Belfie's photos on FB and she has one. Belfie??
Connie/anyone else: with day time sleep training - did your bubs sleep worse at night? I think we had our worst night in her life - 7pm sleep then woke at 9:45-12:30-1:30-3:45-4:45-6:30. arrrrrrrrrh
Not at all Fuzzy... she may just have had a random bad night. They actually say that day sleep is meant to help night sleep.
George really challenged me with day sleep for a very long time. Finally I can read his tired signs now, and its pretty predictable. He tends to sleep:
8am - 10am
12pm - 2pm
4pm - 5 or 5:30pm
Which has been perfect coming up to Xmas, because I've been able to get my baking done!
How many hours did Chloe sleep in the day?
Yup i've just been lent a bumbo, didn't have one with Xander. The pic on FB is her first sit in it - she looked pretty happy lol. And right now she's sitting in it right niext to me... watching my fingers hahaha. I thought she'd be too young, but no, seems fine.
Re sleeping, I always heard that the more in the day, the more in the night. Little Missie A is a bit all over the place. Some days I get nothing but catnaps and others she's slept for 5 hours!! She keeps me guessing.
AFM I need some hugs. My DH is still sick (vertigo) and has now been put on a low salt diet (plus no caffeine, chocolate, wine) etc and more testing in January. So in the interim I'm so bl**dy flat chat doing everyting for all 3 of them. He's grumpy as hell cos he's feeling lousy all the time, and now nervous it won't go before xmas. And my house is a bombsite and I'm just feeling very frazzled & over itI think illness & injury should be banned at xmas. pls just send me a hug and tell me it will all get better.
She tends to sleep 8-9 then 10:30-12:30 then 2-3 then another nap later in the pram or something. I am trying to re-settle her for her first sleep because she tends to be sleepy within 30mins of waking up. But no success yet. Since last Sunday she has been waking 3 or 4 times every night and I just dont know how to help her sleep longer!
Edit - sorry we posted at the same time Belfie. Here I am having a winge about Chloe not sleeping well and you have to look after two little ones and a sick DH! Honestly I dont know how you do it - superwomen comes to mind. Sending you lots of hugs - I am sure it will get better real soon. Hang in there xx

Just ducking in to wish you all a Merry Christmas...I cannot believe it is our bubbies first Christmases, SO EXCITING!!!! Hope everyones day will be Anxiety free (haha! Dreamer!) and enjoyed with your loved ones. I'm hosting Christmas Day (AND Boxig Day) at home with DPs side of Family tomorrow, then mine on Boxing Day..I'm determined to get all the salads etc made today so I only have to throw Roasts in the oven in the morning! Fingers crossed Harlow has some good day sleeps today so I can get it all done!!! Can't believe she is 11 weeks old today, time flies!
Just in case I dont get back on before tomorrow... Merry Christmas to you all, and to your families! May our bubs all behave so we can have some time to enjoy the festivities properly!
Try not to eat too much.... heck, eat what you want!! Dig in to the trifles and pavlovas!! Lol
Much love to you all
Belfie - Take care of yourself, you WILL get through this, and it WILL get better. We are all here for you![]()
Just popping in to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and hope you all eat lots and get some cool pressies.
Thinking of you Belfie, hope DH gets better soon. My dad had vertigo not long ago when they were away on holidays and my Mum was so worried about him she thought he was having a heart attack and called an ambulance. It lasted about 4 days. Sounds very nasty and wouldn't wish it on anyone. Huge hugs to you![]()
Wishing everyone a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Merry Christmas everyone!!!!
Hope you all have a wonderful day, but especially for those having their first Xmas as a mummy!
and thanks for the well wishes, DH has improved a bit and I'm finally feeling the xmas spirit yaaaaay!
Hi everyone,
Hope you all had fab days yesterday!
I had a quick question - when babies have growth spurts and wake more to feed during the night.. how many nights does this typically last for?? (LOL).
We are approaching 6 nights in a row of at least 3 wake ups. She basically wakes every 3 hours. I cant re-settle her and neither can DH and she is ravenous. So I feed her and she feeds much longer than normal too. I was thinking it is a growth spurt as she is learning heaps at the moment (rolling over, clasping hands together, grasping objects, pushing herself up on her hands etc - all in the last week or so)... thoughts?? When can mum get some more sleep Chloe!!!!!![]()
Happy Christmas everyone!
Just popped in quickly, I'm still away now in NSW at Dads place. So far on this trip Isaac and I have been to Adelaide, Melbourne, country Victoria, Sydney and now NSW coast.. it's been a huge trip but very relaxing. Isaac has been loving all the attentionHer's a good traveller, and hasn't had any disrupted sleep or anything. He's still waking a few times a night (around 11, 3 then 5ish), but it's good as he just wriggles, has a sleepy feed in bed and we both fall to sleep lying there. His day sleeps are getting better, in the last couple of days he's had a three hour sleep in the middle of the day. I'm so glad I came, it's so lovely seeing him with his granddad. He's getting very spoilt!
Sorry I haven't had time to read all the posts yet but hopefully I'll get back on the computer tomorrow and catch up.
Hi everyone, Hope you all had a wonderful first Christmas with your babies! Harlow got very spoilt and it was a great day.
Now she has her very first cold- poor thing! And yesterday she let out her very first giggles!! Was very cute but because she has a cold her voice is very croaky so her giggles came out a little painful sounding...but cute none the less!!
Wite - Hannah got her first cold on Chistmas eve. But they are pretty tough and cheery aren't they? More so than me. ahhhh so cute with a giggle.
Bec - good news that Isaac is such a good traveller and enjoying granddad cuddles. I feel so ashamed next to you.... although we did go away for christmas and spent our first night away from home. But we drove... how easy is that? And in all honesty it was easy. I am just in awe of what you have done. How have you carried Isaac? And how much luggage do you have? And how do you manage your luggage? I am going to go up to my mums soon alone, with just Hannah and I. Once I am over this cold/virus I have and the flooding threats have eased.
Fuzzy - I read in Robin Barkers book that from about now some babies resume night waking.... maybe Chloe is one of those? Is there any chance you can comfort her and lull her back to sleep for one of her wakings? Sometimes I do that with Hannah... well it's happened twice. I hope you've gotten some sleep and the waking has eased.
Still feeling under the weather here... both DH and I. Seems we have picked up a cold or virus. Not completely miserable, so that's something. But enough to be tired and cranky. We both thought we were feeling better and went to Bunnings. Came home after only getting half of what we went for, both exhausted and had to rest. Oh and Hannah went for 5 days without a poo... I was getting so worried. But today the drought broke! Yay for poonami.
Hello to everyone else, going to go and see if I can nap. Apes, Belfie, Buzzie, Catherine, Connie, Deana, Kirsten, Pantha
