Bec - LOL, re being unhappy with who you are when your mum is around. Not because it's funny but because sometimes I think I am like that when DH is around... and I can't wait for him to go to work, and it's just HB and me.

We were all talking a while ago how when people say they are going to babysit and then don't how annoying it is. I don't have that experience yet, but a similar one. DH normally gets home from work about 7pm, but it can any time from 5.30pm to 8pm depending. When I had a cold, he told me he'd be home early. I point blank told him I didn't believe him and it would be better if he didn't make promises he couldn't keep... his work is so unpredictable and he's one of those who says "Ill just finish this before I go home.....". I explained that if I know I have to do it by myself, then that's fine and I will do it calmly ( when I was sick he wasn't getting home til midnight, which explains the "early' comment). It's funny though, if I assume he's coming home early, and then doesn't, it just makes me an unpleasant, even resentful person. But if he's not home til midnight, and I know he's going to be late, it's all good.

But well done, it's hard telling parents to back off.... I don't think she means to make you feel that way, she probably just doesn't even realise. But then some people just play the passive aggressive game too.

This is a me post! Ha. I am feeling much less glum today and there have been no episodes of crying ( by me or Hannah). Still tired as all get out, but at least there is no crying. It is such a relief. Anyway, I should go and nap.

Dory - I know exactly what you mean - I get so annoyed when mum says she will be here at a certain time, then is late. Some days, if I'm having a crappy day, I watch the clock until that time, and every minute she is late makes me even more annoyed. I think it's because if I am expecting her, I feel like I am waiting and will wait to do things when she gets here. That doesn't make sense really, but anyway the days she doesn't tell me a time, or doesn't come, I feel I am happier and more relaxed. I hope you're feeling a bit better.

Isaac is slowly settling back in after being away. It took a few days for him to adjust to the time difference, it's only 2.5 hours but he was waking up later than usual, so we are back to getting up at around 8-8.30 again now. I have changed my diet, going high protein to see if that helps Isaac sleep through the night. Not that his night feeds bother me, they are very quick and easy (as you know we co-sleep), and the middle of the night snuggles in the dark are lovely.. maybe it's just that he needs comforting when he wakes in the night, I don't know. If it is I'm ok with that. But anyway I'm wondering if it is diet related so I have cut out all caffeine, drinking more water, eating more fruit and high amounts of protein just to see if it makes any difference. On day three now, and have noticed an increase in milk supply - not sure if that's because of the increased protein or calories though, I don't think the amount of milk is suppose to actually increase.. maybe it's just coincidence. Poor Isaac got his face squirted with milk twice today haha. I'm feeling better with the changes already which is a bonus, already feel less tired and I have had more energy today and yesterday.

    hi ladies,

Bec - i know what you mean re mum's too, except in my case it's more MIL, as my mum is interstate. Good on you for sticking to what you need & what works for you .

Dory - aaah yes, waiting on your DH is so frustrating, i know exactly what you mean. My DH works from home a lot, but what i get is "oh i'll just be 2 mins" then he emerges 20 mins later. I guess I could go into his office & get him (easier when he's here!!!), but I know if he's still busy there's no point.

Pretz - how did everythign go with the GP? Glad to hear Noah isn't as clingy anymore.

aaah gotta run. Hope everyone else is well. Annika starts family daycare tomorrow with Xander. Wish us luck!!!

    Hi girls,

Just a quicky from me... I have been reading on my phone (but can't post) and just haven't had enough time to come and post properly the past few days...will come back online this week and catch up on persies...

Belfie - Thanks for asking about my GP appt... I saw my GP on Wednesday and she suspected an ovarian cyst after I nearly jumped from the bed when she had a feel of my left ovary. Went for the ultrasound on Friday and GREAT (NOT)!!!!! The ultrasound report says that I have a 3.1cm x 2.7cm simple (fluid) cyst on my left ovary and a very small fibroid on the lining of my uterus. I see my GP again tomorrow morning so will see what she says about it all and we'll go from there. I'm sure the cyst should be ok as I've had plenty of fluid cysts before and they just either rupture (which is painful, but it's better than surgery) or go away on their own, so hopefully that's the case... Not sure about the fibroid though as I've never had one but my Mum had them before having a hysterectomy and said to me that depending on the size of them, they will sometimes put you on the pill to lower your estrogen levels and that can help shrink them, but sometimes it can go away on it's own. The lady who did the ultrasound said the fibroid was very small, so hopefully thats a good sign too!

Will let you know tomorrow how it went and what the GP's plan of action is.. BLOODY women's problems!!!! Not what I wanted/need just before wanting to TTC in September!!!

GTG but hope you all have a great night!

Pretz - at least you know what the pain is all about now. Hope the cyst goes away and the fibroid too.

Belfie - hope that A went well at family day care.

Bec - LOL re Isaac getting squirted. I squirted my cousin once. I was feeding H in the car and she sat beside us. It was so funny, and she is still mortified by it. Glad he's settling into his usual routine.

Well, hard yards again here this week. Sunday and Monday nights, I only got about 4 hours sleep tops each night and that wasn't all together. H was coming down with a cold I suspect, which she has now. Loads of crying. No fevers though. No other obvious symptoms, except a little off breast feeding but not too much.

Anyway, last night she went to sleep at 7pm and woke for a feed at 6am! She's slept through! And then went to sleep until 7am. OMG. I got the best sleep and even though I was up at 2, I was able to go straight back to sleep. I woke up happy this morning, the first time in ages. I rather suspect that my glum mood, and crying last week, was just exhaustion. I did mention it to the Dr, and she seemed to brush it off by saying I looked to be quite well now.

I am just about to go out to visit a friend. But I have to have a shower first... what a slacker I am today. I got so busy doing meals for H that I didn't shower this morning. It feels kinda naughty to have not had a shower.

Give your babies a nice big hug from me.

Hiya to everyone - it's quiet in here these days. Anyone would think we were busy.

wow Dory that's fantastic H slept all night! No wonder you were feeling great that day, sleep does wonders.

I haven't been on here much this week, a good friend came to stay for the week. I went out for dinner for the first time without Isaac on Wednesday. Mum came over to look after him while we were out, and he was fine. I couldn't stop thinking about him though, but I had a great evening and even had my first glass of red wine in over a year! Isaac slept well that night, only waking at 3:30am so I fed him back to sleep. His sleep has been really bad this week though. I think another tooth is on its way so I'm putting it down to teething.

Not much else. Oh David (Isaac's father) is back on facebook and accepted my friend request so now he will get my photos on his news feed, at least its something!
