Feed time here. Omg my boobs are so full and painful. Mr T also needs burping so much more than dd ever did, dh is currently burping him as ge wouldn't latch on to the other side, just kept making "eh" sounds. Hoping this settles down as burping is taking longer than feeding ATM!
star, my little man is hard to burp too. But DF seems to have a knack for it, which is lucky cause I seem to suck at it lol. My boobs have settled down I'm so happy because as you girls know, rock hard boobs aren't fun! Mr R is feeding right now, but hasn't woken up for a feed since 10! I love my block sleep
Hope everyone's going ok! Xxxxx
Oh man, he was crying and dh went to get him and his arms were out of the swaddle. Grrrr. I didn't do it up tightly enough before-so naughty mummy. On the upside, st least my boobs are getting emptied again so a little comfort. With dd I had this incredible over supply and if I had to bet now, I'd say I'm headed that way again but we'll see.
So glad you got some block sleep Yas! I put mr t down at 9pm tonight and got 4 hours so I was happy with that. But a mch smaller breakthis time unfortunately. But at least he's feeding
Star - Ohh ewww the rock hard boobs... they really suck. Mine are just settling down now and its such a relief. Its so hard to get them to attach when your doing the pamela anderson thing. I found feeding in the football hold position easier when i was engorged and I still do that hold 99% of the time now. Miss T doesnt seem to have too much issue burping. Shes quite the farter and pooer, so gets rid of all her gas that way most of the time.
Yas - Yay for a good sleep. Things always seem that little bit easier when your going off a half decent sleep
AFM - We are still chugging along here. DD seems to have picked up my sickness. I was sick about a week leading up to her birth. Just a yucky nose and abit of a cough but shes been struck with the snotty nose. So that on top of the mucous she already had, makes for a cranky baby but Im dealing with it and using the fess sucker to get the goo out. Shes feeding quite well. I have no idea how many times she feeds as I demand feed but she is quite the guts. She seems so much bigger already!! Can you believe we have our 2 week check next week?!!? OMG. Shes definanlty a mummys girl which is a nice change as DD1 has always been a daddys girl.
Honestly this breastfeeding thing is hard work... seems like my boobs are out all the time. Shes a chucker and a pooer (as i mentioned) so sometimes its a crazy cycle of feed, spew, poo, feed, spew.. it doesnt seem to be bothering her though.
Im recovering well.. abit sore but nothing to complain about. Ive been taking a couple panadol only a day since a week after her birth. I just couldnt cope with the drugs they gave me and trying to stay awake!
Oh man... why did I have to end up with the chuckers? I was hoping it would be different this time. DD1 was such a massive chucker and had reflux on top of it. We went through about 40 bibs and 20 spew cloths with DD1 daily!! Miss T is starting to follow the same suit. She is such a guts and spews half of her feed back up. Thankfully it doesnt seem to be bothering her (just the belly ache BEFORE she spews).. just me. I have been washing a full load of taylahs stuff in the washing machine daily. Thats alot for such a little girl! Atleast breastmilk doesnt stain (except her poo-spolsions... any advice for getting that out of her clothes?) like the formula did with DD1 and doesnt smell quite as bad.
LOL well thats my vent over. You girls are starting to become my journal.. lol
I had a pretty big PPH with DD3 & my body just isn't coping to well at the moment.
So my supply isn't all that great, so i'm just letting her feed whenever she wants & so far it's working she is doing plenty of wet & dirty nappies.
Mm- the best thing for poo stains is sun! Rinse when it happens or soak (we just use plain water) then wash a d hang out on a clotheshorse in the sun, stain sideup. We do cloth nappies here and I highly recommend the pul cOvers. Even over spouses-they work wonders and are cheap, like $12 each and you only need a couple.
Cheshire-hope you are feeling ok. I'm demand feeding too bt have noticed that he will snack feed and I'm conscious he's only getting foremilk.
can we talk poo ladies? Lol. Mr T's are mustard yellow and cottage cheese style.....stacks of wet nappies and poos at most changes. Sound normal?
I'm most of the way through the cluster feed tonight. He's sleepy on the boob so dh has just taken him for a burp and final nappy change. Here's hoping that it's a other good night.
Thanks Star. When the sun decides to make an appearance (its been ****ing down for days here.. ) I will hang them in the sun.
Wooo poo talk lol. Yep Taylah's are exactly the same and completley exploding everywhere! She poo's maybe 4-5 times in 24 hours, sometimes more. I did read somewhere that what goes in, must come out so even a poo after every feed is considered normal If he is getting too much foremilk, my understanding is his poo would be more frothy and green. Sounds like you are doing an awesome job (not that I ever doubted you!)
Tay is down for the night (well the next couple hours I hope)... so going to spend some time with DF and then crawl into bed. Shes been waking about 1am and 4:30 or 5:30 then usually comes into bed with me until morning/next feed... about 8:30. Pity I wont be able to stay in bed that late next week as DF is going back to work on Monday (eek!).
Fingers crossed for a good night for all you ladies
That's what I read too Mm! Too much foremilk is runny frothy poos
We're awake because the monitor keeps going off. 3 times in the last 2 hours and finally Mr T woke up from the beeping. I was expecting him to stir around 1 anyway. Dh said he is breathing lightly but still breathing so I'm going to change his bedding around when we put him down. I've got the insert inside the cot and the head of that raised by blankets to help with burps/spews so it's not a wonder the monitor isn't picking it up. I can change the sensitivity but not sure if 1 or 5 is the most sensitive.
Looks like I won't be joining you all in here... hope the october girls ate nice *sniff sniff* thnkx for all ur support in the other thread, yesterday was a shocker!!!! Hope ur pooy babies are all cuddly and warm unlike my boney 2yr old who just slapped me in the face as she was waking... Lol

OG there is no reason you can't still chat in here & the Oct thread is really quiet because we use the FB group which you would be more than welcome to join
Poo talk Bambi has lovely mustard colour poos & does one pretty much every feed.
O/N she'll feed every 3-4 hours, she'll latch on & go straight back to sleep & during the day she'l feed 2-3hourly.
She really is a dream baby compared to my other 2.
Cheshire, she really does sound like a wonderful baby! We thought dd was a good baby but have ready noticed Mr T cries and fusses lots less so maybe dd wasn't so fab after all. We know he's going to wake up soon enough though.
OG-I would lOve you to join in here too if you would like too.
Mr T fed at 8:30,1,4 and 7 and is sleeping now. Dh took dd to swimming at 7 this morning and I've just heard them get home now.
DD2 was constantly attached to the boob & always had to be held & only recently at 2yrs old started sleeping through the night.
DD1 was just a demanding baby & is no different now lol
It's nice to have an "easy" baby & i hope she stays that way but i wont hold my breath.
How nice of your DH to your dd out for awhile, it's nice to get a break for a few hours.
Bambi has been down since & 8 and my boobs are killing me.
Hi ladies, how was everyones weekend? We had a lovely weekend, dd is being a great big sister and seemed to be on her best behavior and ds continuesto be pretty easy. He sleeps alot and has bulk awake time of a few hours in the evening while dd is drinking her milk and playing. I'm still finding myself with excess milk and not trusting him yet that he's had enough. Today I was fairly persuasive about getting him back on the boob and he had a spew afterwards. Bad mummy. I expressed twice today, once for comfort this morning but this evening I expressed while dh gave mr t his first bottle. Mr t took it well but took a little while to figure out how it all wOrks. Immjudt using my manual pump at the moment, once I go back to the office proPerly I'll use the double electric there but right now that feels too full on and I don't want to over stimulate.
