Alish - don't stress, when I wrote the last post, it was the day before I checked out of hospital. I was in private, so I stayed for 7 days (6 nights), plus the 2 nights I was in for my (unsuccessful) induction attempts! My nipples are so sore too! My midwife tells me that it should settle down a few weeks after bubs starts feeding...so hopefully in a week or so mine will get tougher!
Zap - how are things going for you? By the sounds of things, it's birthday central at your house! I can only imagine how hectic things must be with a newborn. DH turns 30 next month and we're having a casual open house party - I'm stressing already and DD will be a month old by then
Mad4e - welcome to the group! Hope your little one gets to come home soon. Are you healing ok after your c/s? For me it's getting used to having a slightly numb butt still! Can't wait for all that feeling to come back in the next few months.
AFM - I am so much feeling like a moo cow and nothing else right now. We've made 2 visits to the GP this week, DD has a really blocked nose, and on Thursday night developed conjunctivitis. Apart from that, we are quite lucky to get 4 and 5 hour stretches of sleep overnight, which is one of the only things keeping me sane right now!! So thankful that DH has another 3 & 1/2 weeks of holidays - if he'd only had two weeks, he'd be back at work on Monday and I think I'd then be forever living in milk stained pjs with mad hair, not eating anything!!
Hope everyone has a great weekend - 27 degrees here today and sooo lovely!
Hi ladies,
Just a quick one as i dont have much time...
Congrats to all of us - what a great job we have done..
I have been out of the loop as i went through quite an ordeal..
I had a pph bleed of 1.5L at birth due to my uterus not contracting back..2 nights later i blacked out and once raced to emergency again they found an internal bleed where a vain on the outside of my uterus ruptured (apparently very rare) i had blood transfusions and platelet transfusions as well as iv drips and oxygen...i now have a 2.5L clot in my tummy which they said will eventually break down and go away..there was too much blood to operate so the safest thing is to let it go on its own otherwise chances at operation id lose my womb..
Finally got to come home yesterday as you can imagine im anxious and hoping its not bleeding anymore and will do what they say and breakdown..
After all that Ruby Grace is absolutly gorgeous and i love her to bits - definetly won our hearts my precious little girl
