I am still waiting for proof of DD's birth to be sent back so I can finish my paid parental leave claim. Thank goodness for paid leave from work in the meantime!!
how long do you/did you have to wear your stockings for after your c/s guys?
mine give me the worse calf muscle pains - they dont cut in or anything i just wake up all night with pain and my legs collapsed when i got out of bed this morning
they told me 4 weeks??

Just did first kinder drop off with all the boys! Got home and realized my breast pads where on the wrong way! Thank god Alessio was in his carrying on my chest cause I am soaked through!!
2 weeks! i rang the hospital and they said take em off wear em of a night!

Alish - I wore mine for 5 days (24 hours unless I was in the shower) in hospital and then they told me I was ok.
Alish- When you are up and walking around, you shouldn't have to wear then but long periods of little movement, especially laying down, is when it is most important as that's when clots have the highest risk of forming. I had natural but I still got myself a clot and had to wear them for 3weeks.
Zap- OMG that is hilarious! I didn't put mine the wrong way, I was using a nappy but ended up with a soaked shirt yesterday. Was so embarrasing, worst of all, the wet patch was cold when my shirt touched my belly lol
Zap, wet t.shirt competition eat your heart out.lol:) Babies are definately good accessories for covering up things like leaks.
Alish, thanks for the where to go on boob pads! I got to take my stockings off once let out. I was in for three days but that is steep 4 weeks or more. When are you allowed to drive?
kimbles/alish? how is your c healing? I have pain today but almost like ovulation pain. is that possible for it to happen after 2 weeks? (lol no more babies yet thank you mr egg)
Damprye, I love the cloth nappy for pads. Did you just cut it up? Tobias sounds like he is thriving:) Ds1 probaly still adjusting to not being your only lil fella. He will find his feet:)

Phew im beet! So many visitors takes it toll. Does anybody else notice their bub jumps off the boob, as if having a bad dream? Ouch Teala just did it and ripped me a new nipple!!
curly - mine is fine, hasnt given me much trouble since i left hossy - every now and then ill get a little twinge of pain but nothing serious. how is yours?
no idea re: your pain!? could your uterus be still contracting back down? (does it take this long??) i dunno im just throwing useless ideas out i think lol..
yep hayden is ripping off my left nipple - i have a 2mm split in it from the little devil.
im really not enjoying breastfeeding one bit
damprye - thanks! i thought that might be the case, so i put them back on this arvo while i had a little rest on the couch. the muscle pain is terrible though.
bahaha the other week when i ran out of clean washable breast pads & sposies i cut up a maternity pad and shoved them in my bra - always an alternative!! it worked a treat!
what a d!ckhead i am - went and bought a "bulk pack" of pads - tena brand - pulled them out and they are incontinence pads, they are 3 size the size of my hand! WTF!! i dont even have undies big enough to fit them in lol.. lucky they were cheap :)
my visitors have eased up, thank god, but mine was never one or two, it was 5 or 10 all at once, very overwhelming!

Curly - I sometimes feel twinges near my c/s stitches, usually when I'm relaxed and lying down. The only other discomfort I get is from my stomach muscles sometimes, can't wait to start exercising to get some strength back!
DD has had an unsettled feed day today, I've only managed to give her 4 & 1/2 feeds. Hoping it's because the weather was a lot warmer today and she wasn't used to it. My poor boobs were so full and sore I managed to express 150mls...!
ETA: cheeky little monkey woke up just as our dinner came out the oven, ready for a feed. She polished off 90ml of expressed, then spent 15 mins on a boob..!
Curly- I just fold a whole one up so it is 4x as thick and put it all the way across. Couldn't believe it when I leaked through all that! I had a lot of visitors with James but asked people to back off this time and it was so worth it :)
Alish- :rofl: that is so amusing, perhaps you could cut them up for your boobage?
Kimbles- Yay on the good expressing. Btw, being too engorged can make unsettled feeding even harder so you definately done the right thing by both of you :)

AFM- I got the Mirena put in today and it HURT! And bub has the windy pops today lol
I found the mirena to be great!! But this time round I will be getting a more permanent solution!!
Got to go to bed while I have the chance so just a quick update:
So far everything is going really well with three, the biggest sacrifice is my computer time. Erin is just lovely. She generally naps for a few hours in the morning and again in the evening with a few small naps in between. Quite often she sleeps though the whole evening drama which makes life easier. It is early days, but maybe, just maybe she is different to the others. She actually sleeps in the car! And I have seen her wake, open her eyes and then go back to sleep or I can cuddle her back to sleep. The other two would snap wide awake as soon as they stirred and then they had to be fed instantly or they would scream - they never ever self settled, right from day one so hopefully she is an upgraded model with a sleep function!
The big kids are going well. W is really shining. He is turning into a super confident, caring, polite boy. He has really grown up since Erin arrived. A is still having a bit of an issue with the baby - she likes E and kisses her all the time but gets very upset if DH is holding her.
Glad to hear everything is going well for you art! Ds3 gets a little jealous and frustrated here too!
Damprye hope you're well it would be doing it all yourself 24/7. Even though dh does sweet FA 90% of the time he sorts dinner most nights and gets a cleaning spurt once every couple of weeks!

Going good here. Looks like our financial dry spell if fixed for now! Paid parental leave has kicked in and DH has an "interview" (beer or two!) for a plastering job today. Thank god we where at the end of our rope and it was a very scary feeling. My inlaws where going to the bank today to borrow against their house for us but now they won't have to. As painful as they can be it was a nice reminder that they do love us!!
damprye - dh suggested i use them as dd cloth nappy liners bahahah.. they would cover her! ill find a use for them im sure :)
what is mirena?

zap - oh good, glad the stress of money is behind you! - how long did yours take to kick in? i lodged mine yesterday! down to my last $100, i hate asking dh for money!! he would give it to me if i asked but its my ego ;)
bf still the same - i ended up getting a prescription for motilium and i think its started to work, i squirted h in the face this morning haha! im still hatin it though!
get that mess cleaned up this morning? ;)

Alish- the mirena is an iud and lasts 5years. Not a fan of it but I like to be double covered and I suck at taking the pill, refuse to even try depovera and couldn't handle all the complications that come with implanon again (the arm one) so is mirena and condoms here. One for her, one for him lol.
Glad you've started on motiliam. I had to go on that when DS1 was 10weeks cos he had a growth spurt and I could not keep up with that hefer lol.
Zap- yays for the money stresses starting to ease.

AFM- Finally got to sleep at 7am this morning. Would have been 5:30 but DS1 came in my room and started playing up. He went to sleep just before 7 and then DS2 woke at 8 for a feed. At least I got an hour huh? FX tonight is better

Alish I managed to keep my cool but the floor is still really sticky so will take a few goes to get it clean!!
I am getting my tubes clamped. Shop is shut no more babies here!! Have an app in 3 weeks to be put on the waiting list. Four under four is contraception enough at the moment!!
Alessio is averaging a nice 6 - 7 hour stretch at night but is very grumpy and wants cuddles pretty much all day. Oh well won't be forever! I am actually enjoying him the most out of all my babies cause I know he is the last!
