im a bit worried about william atm he seems really big! hes going into 00 and is quite chubby, he always wants bottles too... hes only 3mths old i cant believe how big he is... do u think i should be worried??
arte - lol asha says n o p haha l and m dont exist.. theres a video of her attempting the alphabet on fb hehe.. as for recognising letters we arent near that yet shes trying her best with colours tho.. i feel nervous about going back to work but i think it will be good for me..
clare - i think were gonna request to have by appt only instead of open house days, apparantly we are within our rights to demand that as well as demand they take the details of anyone who comes through.. still dont feel good about it tho
ginger - *hugs* hope everything calms down asap at ur place!!!
-
Wow Trill, thanks for the new avvy, I love it!
Ginger, I hope the bug passes soon, sounds horrible!
Clare, I am taurean too. I have to admit that I don't know a whole lot about the sign characteristics though. The house photos on FB are beautiful - I looooove the flooring and L's room looks fantastic. DH walked past while I was looking at her room pic and commented that it was really nice too.
Noni, there are quite a few letters missing here too, as well as the number 6. He is good with his colours though, sometimes gets them muddled but mostly gets them right. I wouldn't worry too much about Williams size, Amelia's 000's are getting a bit tight so in another month she is going to be in 00's as well.
Our car is still at the garage and I have been stuck at home for nearly two weeks. We usually have an activity 4 mornings a week but only one is in walking distance. We are going a bit stir crazy.
Would you think I was crazy if I said that Amelia is nearly sitting? She can balance for about 4-5 seconds before she topples over. It is really cute, she is really pleased with herself for doing it, then she smiles and kicks her legs which sends her over backwards lol.
-
Arte - she just sounds so gorgeous!
Clare - the house photos look stunning, especially Leila's room.
Ginger - hope everyone is on the mend there.
Funny toilet training story - K had her dolly sitting on the potty this morning, came up to me with some toilet paper saying 'Paige, poo' - so the dolly was pooing! She of course had to go and flush it. She also got busted a couple of times on the weekend putting nappies in the bin that had only been on the dolly!!
Well the housecleaner we met last night was lovely - she was so motherly and offered to do anything we needed (stack dishwasher, iron, make beds, clean, tidy etc). I just wanted to give her a big hug!! So she is doing 4 hours tomorrow (including the oven - which hasn't been done since Mum did it the week before K was born!!). I just feel relaxed already, knowing that the house will be clean when I get home tomorrow. It's already looking better because we did the mad dash through last night (just tidying)before she came round. I'm really going to enjoy Wednesday's now, knowing that the place will be clean every week.

Hey Chicks,
Struggling a little with my bro. It's been a bit tough. Finding it hard to keep up in here. I do try and read but my head is not quite up to it. But i'll be back. *channelling Arnie* :p
-
Hi all
Just popping on to say hi :hello: and to say thanks again to Jazah for having a meet at her place yesterday. It was great to see Lee and Jaz and all the kiddies. Sorry I couldn't stay longer tho, as it was we didn't get home until 5.30pm. Sarah was at her best , I think she was just over the travelling and car time. Hopefully we can convince a few more people to attend the next one...hint hint Oz lol.
Also, just wanted you girls to be among the first to know that we are offically TTC :leap:. I had an appointment at a gyno the other month who sent me for bloods, ultrasound and a HSG. The HSG is where they insert dye through your tubes to check for blockages, it also clears your lining out a bit. Not a very comfortable procedure but I fell on the next cycle with S after my last one. I have also just finished my first round of Clomid so will be busy for the next few days D(ing)TD hehe.
Anyway...better get back into getting this house sorted after my trip to Brissie. DH has been home so you can just imagine what he's been up to (or should that be hasn't been up to)
Good luck to everyone with the Melbourne Cup, I'd offer my tips but I never win anyway:doh:
So :loveshower: to all
-
awwww my lil william can roll over from tummy to back... nooo dont grow up!!!
-
hey everyone!
Noni, he's 3 months old now so I would be expecting him to be heading into 00 by now. Don't forget that there is a growth spurt around this time so that would account for the bottomless stomach LOL. I'm sure he's fine. Gosh I remember putting Alister in a 0 onesie at Christmas.
Ange I'm so sorry that you're still having troubles with your Bro. I think as much as you love him and worry about him you'd be kinda glad to be moving soon
Cally I would love for someone to just come and do dusting and ironing.
I've been so slack at keeping up lately. I have been reading though. Alister isn't really up there with letters, words or numbers but he does know his colours and shapes and that's about all I expect from him atm. I used to really drum it in with Lindsay all the time at this age - MIL even gave me some flash cards she had when her 3 were toddlers LOL and I spent loads of $$ on books for him to do stuff in but by the time Erin came along I realised I just didn't want her to grow up that fast so I didn't do it. he is a fabulous mimic though. His scooter riding is getting a bit scary because he goes as fast as the other kids now so it's a bit of a worry that he's going to have a major tumble off it.
-
Hi girls!
Ange: babe. so sorry. that is really tough and totally understand about not having the headspace to think about anything else ATM. sending our thoughts and prayers to your bro and family xx
Noni: arrghhh! this second round of babies are growing up sooooooo FAST! it's amazing!
Cally: i am another joining the 'green with envy' brigade. i so wish we had a cleaner. even just once a fortnight.
Arte: with your kids: anything is possible LOL! i am SURE she is sitting!! the photo on FB surely looks like it too. bummer about the lack of car. that is something i am grateful for when we moved to melbourne that the car can basically be ignored as things tend to all be in walking distance or there are the trains/trams. how much longer do you have to wait???
Kate: YAY!!! congrats babe! this is great news! sending loads of stickyvibes your way!
Rainy: ewwwww. vomit-ville aint fun! hope you guys are holding up ok.
AFM: all good here. DH had a win on the ponies for the cup. he put on a $5 bet and won $100!!! his shout LOL! so off to dinner tonight with some friends which should be lovely.
-
Clare, yay for the win, hope you went somewhere nice for dinner. Not sure when the car will be done. Hopefully soon.
Cally, lol at the pooing dolly. Glad your cleaner is nice. I would love someone to do my cleaning but I would hate anyone to see how filthy my house gets lol
Noni, they grow up too quickly don't they! Are you finding that time seems to go so much faster with the second one?
O.K, so last years corn-off was a bit of a let down after Ange's got pop corned in the bush fires and mine ended up as foot high dwarf plants so this year I propose.......
Giant Pumpkins!!!!
You can get the seeds for the big growing orange ones for a couple of dollars. Will anyone rise to the challenge? Clare, your lovely new yard is just begging for novelty oversized veges!
We have the seeds and William is excited about it already lol
-
I think I would be divorced if I dare even suggest it. DH has a thing about those pumpkins and thinks that they are directly related to 'small man' issues ROFL. Plus we have no cows to feed them to when they are grown thus stinking up my compost.
-
Noni - Dont worry about W I'm sure he is fine. M was the chubbiest baby ever, I look back at her 6 month photos in shock, she was hugeeeee. hahaha. I must admit, & you probably remember, I used to worry heaps too but she is a 'normal' weight now.
Kate - Yayyyy congrats on the ttc. So that makes 3 of us, yourself, Clare & me. I hope we all get bfps soon.
Trill - I think A sounds like he is doing just fine, knowing shapes especially that is great. I dont even know all the shapes lol. M sings the tune to ABC and just the other day started pointing out and naming her facial features, very impressed lol.
Clare - I dont mind so much sending her when she has a runny nose etc, but when M gets sick she always ends up with a real barking cough. I actually had the daycare lady pull me aside this morning about it as apparently yesterday she was coughing so much. I literally told her I just dont know what else to do other than pulling her out of care all together, but I dont want to do that. Just fingers crossed that after her op she will start to get better & with summer, hopefully all the bugs will P O!!! I am loving the sound of your new place. Sorry to hear of your breakdown though, I would be feeling much the same if in your shoes. What are L's wall decals like?
Rainy - Is L better, did he have gastro?
MD - I think you are right about having skipped the gastro thank goodness.
Ange - Oh you poor thing sounds like your bro is still struggling? xox
Feeling a bit down today after finding out on the weekend that someone I know is pregnant again & then just before I found out another is as well. That sounds so selfish I am very happy for them, but I want my turn too, wahhhh what a whinger lol. Sorry
-
Cally, you'll be pleased to hear that Barbie's dog comes complete with miniature plastic poo
Trill - I have a fabulous mimic too. I uttered a very unladylike phrase when I slammed my foot square into a stool (thought I'd broken a toe again) and about three minutes later when all the drama had died down, there sat Missy E repeating ****ing Hell, ****ing Hell.... I'm married to a trooper, no need to have my child swearing like one too.
Arte - Giant pumpkins - FANTASTIC IDEA...and I also propose we have a special novelty category for the funniest looking veggie harvested anywhere in the garden (you know, rude looking carrots, etc). BTW I believe you, I saw the nearly-sitting photo. :)
Ange I'm so sorry to hear it's been such a hard time. I hope things improve, or at least stabilise, soon. xxx
Noni - wowee he's getting big isn't he? I'm having trouble putting Missy E in size 2s, had to go on a size 3 buying spree today...not sure it's something you should worry about. Maybe plot his weights on a chart, it's prolly just the way he is, you'll see a pattern.
Cally your lady sounds lovely. It's so much better when it's someone you like and can trust, they don't disturb the energy of your home like a total stranger would.
Kate - yay for TTC...enjoy your most excellent DTD excuse LOL.
MM - sweetie you'll get your turn too
Well I'll add to my terrible swearing-like-a-showgirl motherhood technique by saying my 11 yo DD won herself $20 on the geegees today - yes gambling already! DH let her put her pocket money (WTF??) both ways on 2 horses and one of them was Crime Scene which she picked "because she liked the name". Don't know whether to laugh or cry.
-
MD, my Nan always put us kids in the sweeps when we were kids and sometimes we'd come home from school to an evelope of money and sometimes we didn't but it seemed all very grown up LOL. I had to chuckle at Miss E picking that up from you - it's so funny yet at the same time you know they shouldn't do it. A has done it a few times after being out and about on the farm with DH and it makes you giggle.
H, such a crappy situation. If it's just a dry, unproductive cough (no phlegm) then it's usually fine if she is otherwise well. But summer is the worst time of year for tummy bugs unfortunately but I think once she has these grommets in you will see a 110% improvement in her health.
Hey Arte, I hope the giant pumpking don't give your NIMBY neighbours something else to whinge about ;)
-
hey everyone,
cant believe its only wednesday is this week going slow or is it just me??
havnt had much sleep william was very unsettled last night.. got haps planned for today, dunno if ill actually do it or not tho haha.. wanna make chocolate slice, sort out all the clothes in the spare room (looks like the salvos shop exploded in there!! have been washing but not putting away and just got a big plastic box of 00's and 0's from a friend for William that i needa sort through!) then theres the general tidying etc and keeping the children entertained lol just a normal day i spose!!
very excited about the new tattoo im going to get, my birthdays coming up on the 11th and underneath ashas name i wanna get a design i found that has a dandelion with some of the petals would u call them? coming off in the wind and theres a few birds as well and then underneath it williams name, just so it looks more like a design and less like a list of names lol..
TT going well barely any accidents now and she went for my mum the other day so now its just school.. shes done so well though im very proud of her :)
trill - thanks, i think he just seems sooo big coz he was underweight for a while, we had him in 00000 at one point and to see him in 00 now is a bit of a shock.. as well we were told to expect he wouldnt catch up till around 6mths old and to hope for around 5-6kgs at 6mths lol but we got him weighed at 2.5mths and he was 5.6kgs lol..
md - ashas going into size 3's as well! i cant believe it when i put them on her and they fit lol.. oh and on the swearing thing ash said for f's sake the other day oops!! she was also singing some choice lyrics to a marilyn manson song the other day "everyone will come to my funeral to make sure that im still dead" glad she gets the word funeral and dead kinda wrong but just knowing what she was singing made me feel a bit bad!
mm - sorry ur feeling down hope it happens for u guys asap :)
arte - yeh i do feel like hes growing up much faster than asha ever did but i spose its coz we are busy etc so times going quicker.. wow giant pumpkins sounds like fun i would have no idea what to do tho haha cant imagine what the neighbours would think! (i live in the western suburbs of sydney)
clare - hope u had a nice dinner out
sorry to anyone i missed spose i should get started on my spare room :(
-
I am sorry I really suck at keeping up lately. Once Dh is back at work next week I will probably be on more. Hope your all well though.
-
Giant pumpkins sounds good, although I'm not sure I will do very well seeing as our garden is sand! Will the packet say giant pumpkin if I go to the hursery or should I be looking for a different name?
Oz - don't feel bad about struggling to keep up, happens to all of use every now and then.
Kate - congrats on your TTC news, I take that to mean you and DH have sorted out some of your issues?
We are so not ready for size 3's! She was in some 2's shorts yesterday and they were sitting so low I think I might pack them away. She still has some 0 Osk Kosh shorts that fit!
-
hi everyone
sory i have been terible at keeping up - a combination of things really - comp not working well, been away at the coast twice, boys been sick and generally life a little out of control! But eveything is fine here with us!
I have had a quick skim - sorry if i have missed anything crucial...will ty to do some personals buy expecting M J up any min so may get cut short
Noni - wtg on the job front, when will you start? i dont think you need to worry about W - he sounds perfect and i guess he just caught up weight wise faster... i think they cant realy predict these things so accurately, and then we get hung up on what the dr/nurse says iykwim. sounds like you are doing a great job on the TT front also - wtg Asha!
Clare - woooooooo hooooooo on the house which sounds divine. is miss L loving her new room?
Rainy - sounds like your life is a little like mine atm. hope L is ok.
Ange - hugs re your bro.
Kate - wtg on the ttc and good luck! exciting!!
Trill - OMG re the scooter! he is A WILD CHILD!
Arte - wow on A sitting and rolling - my J is way off that still! i guess he wont top the class on the physical front! I dont know who asked re alphabet etc - N is quite amazing he knows the whole ABC, all colours, numbers etc - I am constantly amazed on that front. he is now into the concepts of 'imagining' (he shuts his eyes and tells us what he imagined) and 'remembering' he will say something that happened and then say 'I remember'. he is coming along leaps and bounds. we have a physio follow up tomorrow - i think they will be happy - he has improved so much on that front too - nowhere near doing what lots of yours do yet but way way better than he was. he seems to enjoy physicality more now too if that makes sense.
MD - hope you avoided the gastro. I wouldnt worry about her having a bet - the liking of that name though...
MM - hope the op goes well (sorry missed when it is). I bet you see a huge improvement after that is done. N hasnt been too sick this yr with kindy - am thankful for that!
oh gotta gp J is up - will try to come back later. love to you all and sorry such a bad buddy!
-
So they aren't sick now PP? I'm sure the physio appointment tomorrow will go fine - I bet he wont even have to go back for another one.
Cally, Alister is growing just like Paige did and is such a skinny thing - some of his shorts I have brought for this summer are still only 0's because unless it has an elasticised waist they aren't any good and even then 1's are still plenty big enough so K isn't the lone ranger on that front LOL. But I don't mind because they look like proper shorts where the 2's look too long kwim? Paige was still wearing one skirt that was a size 0 skirt up till last summer but she's put on 5kg so far this year and has jumped to a size 5 from a sz 3 last summer. But because he is soooo tall I need 2's and 3's for shirts and T's so buying a set of anything is hopeless - even pyjama's have to be separates. So I imagine he'll be a bean pole for a few more years and then just start gaining weight.
OK, so I started a blog and uploaded the video of A on the scooter. It was a few weeks now and he's much faster than that now LOL. The quality is a bit dodgy because it was taken on my phone.
-
Trill - will have to check out the vid when I get home. I saw some gorgeous tracky sets when I was last shopping in Canberra, but didn't really see the point of having to buy two sets to get one lot of matching out of it!!
MP - glad to hear from you. Sure the physio appt will go well.
-
Hi again
On my I touch so this will have to be quick
Cally you must think I am so rude I sent you a text before I left on fri and them was staying in sth durras with no reception so never wrote back to you.
Am really sorry I meant to say a meet up wouldn't have been good ok sat as the other little one we had with us was just recovering from gastro. You will be glad you stayed away as I am feeling sick and so is dh! Will be back down many times over summer so the play date will hapen
Physio went well today big improveme so no splints yet we will see how he goes over summer and go back end feb. Took j to be weighed etc too his head is growing and he is 6.8 kg, so not as big as Noah was at 4 months but a big boy! He is 4 months today!
I Am feeling lots better now I am losing some weight - 3 kg so far!
-
Trill - awesome scootering! Missy E has a try but she really just shuffles along LOL. DD1 was pretty scootie proficient at a young age which is wonder because she's totally clumsy at everything else! Excellent blog BTW :) I have learnt how to sew a bit of wide elastic in at the back of the waist band to pull the pants in around the waist (constantly needed to do it for DD1 but she's finally getting hips now).
MP - sorry to hear it's doing the rounds of the family, glad the boys are better. yay that's great news from the physio, hope it just gets better from there.
Cally, the oshkosh baby things are really wide around the bottoms - I think they're to accommodate wads of cloth nappies?
Still feeling bad about being such a potty mouth mummy. I must have had such a pure clean livestyle with DD#1, don't remember any swearing incidents. I'm just hoping like crazy she doesn't think fit to repeat it at the FDC lady's house...the 4 yos are all getting into saying poo and bum (like they do at that age) so the last thing we need is my 2 yo dropping a corker.
-
Oh MD! it would be slightly funny if she did but they can drop them in the most inappropriate of places LOL. I might have to do that with some of his shorts. I was tempted to just make him some shorts now I have the sewing machine. I find the sprout PJs are the best as I can tighten the elastic if I need to but for a sz 2 they are actually a good fit.
PP that's a great weight loss so far. I find if you lose it slower you are more likely to keep it off. Great to hear that N has had improvement. I cna't believe J is that old already!
-
Trill, don't say that word (*blocks ears, and whispers* Sprout). I'm totally devastated they stop at size 2.
ETA - Arte have you planted your seeds yet? Or did you plant them a month ago to give yourself a head start ;)???
MP - meant to say congrats on the 3 kgs tho at first I was confused and thought it was gastro commentary? I am having *no luck* after a week or so of eating right and heaps more exercise than usual I gained a kilo :o so promptly had a huge tantrum and ate the rest of the tub of icecream. I"m sure that's not in the anticancer diet either...*sigh*
-
MD, I am having trouble like that too with my weight loss. I'm not on a diet as such but I know what i should and shouldn't be eating and Im convinced that it's my cycle that is buggering things up for me and why I and finding it really hard to loose a significant amount of weight even though I exercise daily and eat right and drink loads of water. But if I have a bad week I just keep on going as tempting as it is to say 'bugger it all, I'll have some chocolate' LOL So I am thinking about having some acupuncture to help with my period and see if that makes a difference because my periods are still shockingly heavy and I don't think a gyno approach would solve anything kwim? Yeah I love the sprout stuff too so it is a bugger that the tops are too short to get away with buying them but at least he can still fit into their shorts
-
Trill I think you're on to something with the cycles...I'm still not sure if i'm fertile or what, things have been crazy on that front. Acupuncture is a great idea...might look into that once I've had surgery and more scans show no signs of anything brewing (don't want to accidently stimulate the wrong processes in my bod). I was especially demoralised after my kg gain - I am having a massive summer-clothing crisis (like every year) made worse because I'm desperate to do something before my surg because of the long recovery time. Summer lasts a looooong time here but they always bring out the autumn clothes early. Most of the clothes are either Urgh (horrid horrid colours, horizontal stripes, transparent so you have to wear 2 layers, flimsy fabric that's gonna wash to ****) OR they are cut so that my scars/horrid surgery bras are all gonna hang out the top :wall:.
-
Urgh! I hear you on the clothes front. Nothing is the right cut for me this year it seems. I would love some casual dresses but they just don't look right on my figure because the skirts always have far too much fabric so I look like I'm wearing a tent because I have wide hips and I just hate the way that looks kwim. Even the plus size clothes are quite huggy on the body too and some may be happy with letting their belly show through tight fitting tops but not this black duck! so I have some size 24 T's that are really only a size 18 because no way known would a women who is genuinly a size 24 be able to wear those T's and look any good in them and I'm an 18 so that hurts a bit when you have to buy a T shirt that size when you know you aren't really that size at all . And it IS bloody disheartening when you try like crazy to loose weight and it doesn't happen at all. With my cycles now I can retain up to 3kg of fluid depending on what part of my cycle I'm up to. So I really need some new clothes, but at the same time don't want to buy too much because I want to wear the clothes I already have but can't fit into atm
-
Hi girls!
MP: eeewww hope the poo bug stays away from your house! so tiring to get gastro.
Cally: we are the same. Leila is still quite small. i am forcing her into 2s simply because the Os and 1s are fast becoming really worn out. (and here i was dreaming that i could re-use them for any future baby )
MD: SPROUT STOP AT 2??!!!! What is this heinous thing you talk of????? but, what.do.i.do without sprout to boost DDs wardrobe???
Sherie: i reckon it's a cycle thing too. when my endo was at its peak (around 2002-2006) i was much heavier (it would fluctuate throughout my cycle as well). i didnt realise it at first, but when i look back i couldnt believe it. the bloating alone was bad!
and i have to agree with the clothing...was in italy and wanted to buy up for me, but the majority of the stuff was a 70s/80s flashback and the rest required a detailed lesson from the staff on which way is up......and i am just not into black leather pants.
-
Hi girls, sorry been MIA again.
Clare - I love your new house it looks beautiful and full of character. The backyard looks a nice manageable size too. L's wall decal is awesome, is that the one you got in Italy? What a gorgeous room she has.
Trill & MD - Sorry to hear of your weight loss struggles, its so darn easy to put it on yet so hard to lose it!! Hope you guys get somewhere really soon.
MD - Thanks, I hope its my turn for a baby next. As for swear words, dont feel bad. These things happen. I can understand your guilt as the other day M was bucked into her car seat when I spotted a spider (just a daddy long legs) crawling on her so I said S*** and she started repeating it, oops. Its just a little slip hehe
M has a yucky nappy rash, so been letting her go nakie for alot of the day, its so hot here anyway. She just came up to me before saying 'uh oh' & sure enough theres a BIG one right in the middle of the floor lol. Thank god for tiles is all I can say.
Just a quickie as I am off to make DH a lovely bday dinner. Hope everyone else is well.
-
Thanks H  It's not too bad, but more frustrating when you know you take one step forward and two steps back sometimes. I will get there but it just really ****s me when I work so hard and still struggle to do buttons up because of the fluid retention.
Clare, I haven't checked out the pics of L's room yet, I must do that tomorrow.
-
Trill, I am with you on how crap it makes you feel when you have to buy sizes up from what you actually are - I am a 14-16 (more 16 atm) but at some shops I have to by extra large. It really bums me out. DH can't understand why I walk into some clothes shops and then turn around and walk back out but some places just don't sell past a 14. I am the same with skirts too - heaps of them look good on the rack but look like a tent on. I am looking for one that minimises my big butt, hides the thighs and basically makes me a size 10 lol
MP, N sounds amazing! W has been walking around carrying handfuls of imagination lately, it is so cute. He hasn't really learned anything new lately, we have been having a few behaviour issues the past month - I think it is just him adjusting to the baby.
MD, I have a summer clothes crisis too. Too fat for all my old stuff and it is soo hard for me to find anything I like at the shops. I have to admit that DH and W already planted our pumpkins last weekend before I had the idea. But to be fair, I have the disadvantage of cr@p weather - on monday it was snowing in the next town!
Cally, the pumpkin seeds are in the seed stand, they are the big orange ones.
Hi to everyone else, busy this morning packing as we are going CAMPING!!! William is so excited, he has slept in his sleeping bag for the last few nights lol. We are taking the boat too, so should be a good time.
-
hey everyone,
busy busy here, ashas got a cold :( shes just sort of moping around poor thing!
ive been given a case for work but im having trouble contacting the family (gotta arrange to meet them and make sure i feel i can help them and take on the situation and that they feel im right for them too) home phones disconnected and mobile was off all day yesterday.. if i do get through and we both decide im right for the job it will be 4 days a week thurs - sun which is a bit more than i was hoping to take on but the money will be great for xmas! wont see dh much at all coz i wont have weekends off and hell be home with the kids all weekend limiting what he can do but the cases are short (3 - 9mths) so its not forever and its something to get us a bit ahead coz were in bad debt atm.. feeling a bit weird about it all but gotta atleast give it a shot..
as for clothes and weight issues i totally hear u all!! i dont fit in any of my clothes either, and everytime i go clothes shopping i just get depressed :( im hoping that once i start working ill lose a bit coz when im home atm i tend to just eat and eat and eat until im physically ill due to stress or boredom or whatever..
anyways hope everyones having a good day mwah mwah :)
-
Hi Lovely Ladies ... just a quick one atm (& pls don't be offended that I'm not going to try & catch up with the last few months) ... all is going well, love being back in QLD but not much success with the ex & the boys. Going thro one mediation service after another in the attempt he will attend. He knows I'm here though. Anyway ... boys are doing gr8, esp being on the FAILSAFE diet. Jack's speech is so clear & he's in a (king) single bed now, as he was refusing to sleep in his toddler bed & wldn't have those anti roll out bars on it; thus he did roll out but still, wldn't let me put it back on ... i' m doing gr8, can't remember the last time i took an anti depressant :-) so i'm happy with that. Helps having a few more friends around. Plus all the kids parties we are now attending, alot more adult interation. Anyway, enough blab from me for now ... off to decide whats next (on career's leave with Alex) on my agenda ... bbs xox
-
Well more on the clothes shopping front - we were out last night and I stumbled across a shop that purportedly sells larger sizes, so I go in there, pick a whole heap out in their largest size (which *should* be a little too big on me) ...and they we all lovely, and fit beautifully...EXCEPT across the boosies which were strangled to within an inch of their life. So I'm standing there in the change room thinking pretty ****ing ironic when I'll be having an unwanted unrequested radical boob reduction in a month. Arte I'm not like you, I don't want them to make me look fabulous, I just want to clothe my nakedness without looking like a overstuffed grandmotherly turkey. It's not a lot to ask.....!!!!! Did I mention I go through this *every summer* and it IS one of the main reasons it is my least favorite season of the year!
Arte - yeah hehe figured you already had them planted...also figured you were at a disadvantage with the soil temp...have they germinated yet? You might need to hothouse them under a milk or softdrink bottle for a bit (oops giving away my trade secrets - sssssssh). YAY for camping, sounds like you will have an excellent time.
MM - hope you had a lovely time with DH last night ;). Re the nappy rash, I have discovered the ultimate pharmacy cream, it's canesten & sigmacort mixed together in the one tube - called hydrozole, you can buy it over the counter. :)
Clare, so sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings. You know I"m already feeling the pain. In fact when I first found out I was so distressed I couldn't even speak of it. At least it sounds like L will get a run in Sprout for a little while longer.
Well I"m off to the Craft and Quilt show, who knows it might inspire me to finish sorting the spare room so there is actually room to get my sewing machine out. It's DD1's sports day today, I ****Loathe**** sports days, so DH is doing the parently duties there. I did my bit providing green tshirts and crepe paper pompoms laced with tinsel.

hi girls!
Arte: have fun camping!
Rainy: been awhile since we heard from you...hope you guys avoided the gastro thingy...i think that was what it was wasnt it?? arrghh brain like a sieve ATM LOL!
MM: yeah the decals are from a place in italy. it's actually a french brand, and there were sooo many beautiful ones to choose from....stood there for a good 20 minutes humming and ahhhhing LOL!
Noni: congrats babe! :fingerscrossed: that it all goes well and you guys can mesh...and bring in the christmas cash!!
Andie: OMG! welcome back babe! it has been awhile. sorry to hear that it hasnt been great with the ex. BUT fantastic news that you are doing so well!! and woot woo to J sleeping in a real big boys bed!!
MD:  that would have been horrid to go through...and i have to say that after being good friends with a girl for many years with larger boobies, i had no idea until i met her how HARD it was to find clothes/bras that were not only nice, but actually fit. hope you are feeling ok and have some way of spoiling yourself today...facial anyone??!!
AFM: all good here. had our first houseguest stay over last night. so the lounge does work as a bedroom for now. cant wait til we can slap up the wall though! the poor guy has allergies to cats and we have 2 of them...and of course they took a shine to him.......cats.
Leila and I had a blast at the kindy excursion yesterday to the state library. there was a baby bounce session and she totally got into it...helped by the presence of egg shakers...she was grooving to all the cool hits like humpty dumpty and old duke of york and polly put the kettle on etc etc. and the tram ride with all her little mates was just too cute!

MD - Awww, so I dont know if I missed it but you decide to remove the other breast as well? Maybe you can 'downsize' your new boobies a bit? hehehe. MD all I can say is I wish I had a decent set of boobs lol. Thanks for the nappy rash tip.
Andie - Yayyy so happy for YOU! I have been reading all your FB status updates lately thinking you sound very happy these days, things seem to be going really well. I am so happy you are doing well mentally, and the boys are doing well on the failsafe diet.
Clare - The kindy excursion sounds like it was great fun.
Noni - Dont feel bad about having to work 4 days, it will help you guys get ahead a bit with your debt situation. Once you get into the flow of juggling work and kids its so simple.
Forgot to mention we have had a bit of a win with the dummy situation this week. Monday night I just decided right, too old for this dummy now missy, and we gave it to her dollies. At first it didnt go down too well and she sooked on and off for about an hr and a half but then nodded off. Since then I have not given in to that dummy, she still asks for it, but it doesnt take her long to forget about it once she is in bed. I guess it has been a huge part of her bed time ritual since she was born really, so its not all that easy to let go of but she has done so well. Very happy.
Girls I am off to BRITNEYYYYYY tonight, so off to get myself ready, just in case I get an invite backstage ;) hehehehe

Hi Ladies
Welcome back Andie
Cally - yeh. DH and I have had major talks and I think with what has happened, it really opened his eyes up. We are communicating heaps better and I actually feel like its more grownup communication (ITMS). It was a major factor in deciding to go again for baby no 2 and a lot of discussion. One of his major hangups was how I coped after S was born, he didn't like it and doesn't want to deal with it again. I politely informed him to f**k off then and there and that I didn't choose PND and if he had supported me and understood it better that it wouldn't have escalated. The counsellor re-inforced the need for support and that it is legitimate and that after being thru it once we might be better prepared and I'll seek help sooner if needed.
AFU - S has another ear infection (2nd in 6 weeks) and I'm not happy at all! We had done so well for 2 years without the need for abs etc. Can someone enlighten me on why these things occur? Is it water in the ear not draining right?
-
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Ginger!!! :birthday2: I hope you get spoiled just as you deserve my friend!
Andi - so glad to hear from you sweetie! Sorry I missed your post yesterday. Sounds like you are going great, well done to get that mediation set up, it doesn't guarantee success but you are doing everything possible to create a positive dynamic, you should be so proud of that. So pleased to hear you have been able to ditch the anti depressants too :D. You go girl!!!!
Kate - I kwym about 'grown up conversation' - I read that as "all adults taking responsibility for their bit". I'm glad your DH has more of an understanding about PND now, it's very challenging for everyone. Re the ear infection, it can have to do with any irritation in the sinus, eustacian tubes, etc...as soon as they get clogged up (dust, hayfever, virus, mucus overload from food sensitivity, etc) there's the potential for bacteria to grown. Kids are more susceptible because their tubes are smaller and therefore don't drain as well. That's my highly unscientific explanation LOL.
MM - ah no thanks, one's enough. I expect the new one will be perkier though and I'll need a lift on the other side. Definitely don't want any downsizing, that was a commentary on the clothes not my boobaliciouses . Well done with the dummy weaning. My eldest DD *still* remembers leaving hers out for the easter bunny, not game to go there yet with my strong willed Missy E.
Clare, LOL at your cats chumming up with your allergic guest. Gosh I can't believe how quickly you have pulled your house together, we were unpacking for weeks afterwards. You must have a lot less junk than we do . Managed to treat myself with a trip to the Craft & Quilt fair yesterday, so all good there. :) The excursion sounds like a BLAST! We took Missy E on the tram when we were in Melb and she screamed like it was the apocalypse so um, no public transport since then. LOL She would probably really enjoy it now.

Hi girls
Another quick one from me
MM yay on the dummy - I can imagine it's a hard one to break! We haven't used a dummy for either boy so that's one habit I didn't have to deal with
I hope rainy is ok
Kate - glad you have things sorted with dh
Is he well informed about pnd? Maybe he should read up before this bubba arrives just in case?
Well dh and I are both well struck down with the gastro - so far Noah is fine! Jacob has been v unsettled but no vomits so I think prob tummy ache
Better go he has woken up

Hi girls, i'm here.
DH has gone to sydney for the weekend so i'm staying at dad's. boys are finally doing much better after what seema like a month of sickness. i ended up taking j down to the emergency dept the other night as he had a really nasty looking rash and wouldn't stop crying, turned out it was just a virus. poor little monkey. he's a lot better today though.
DH is water-skiing in a big race in a couple of weeks so is up in syd practising, then we're going up to syd for a family holiday tuesday week and to watch him in the race.
Big news i guess is that we've decided to make a bit of a sea-change and move down to the beach so that the boys can enjoy boating, beaching, outdoors fun! we feel like we're a little bit too isolated where we live and we'd like the boys to enjoy living near the water. tbh, we're also feeling very vulnerable where we are iykwim?
mp- oh no, gastro is the worst! has j had a gastro vac?
md- did you come home with anything from the fair?
mm- hope britney was fun
clare- your house looks amazing, i love the tree in L's room. so pretty!
kate- L has had 2 ear infections recently, i hate them. they make him in the worst mood.
andie- great to see you back
noni- congrats on the job
