G, I don't think you are crazy at all - I would probably do the same. Six months is a long time to wait if he is getting constantly sick.

Trill, I so hope my E isn't high maintenance! I already have two of those! I think/hope she is going to be my cruisy kid A is still a bit sick today, but it is hard to tell if she is sick cranky or just her normal cranky lol.
