I couldn't believe it when I read G was thinking of moving too. It would be so cool if our L's went to school together!
Yeah Arte all of my family is in Sydney. With DH working away I want to be closer to them but don't really want to live in Sydney. I lived on the South Coast as a kid and would love to go back there. DH's dad has a holiday house there so I am thinking of going and staying for a while and seeing how I find the commute to mums etc.
-
and oz's dh's dad's holiday house is about 10 mins away (i think?!) from my dh's parents' investment property. can you believe it???
L and L in school together. BFFs!!!

-
i know!!! its crazy right?
and both our dh's are sparkies too.
-
Oh my fricketty! What an awesome and amazing coincidence. Right you girls you are just gonna have to do it! If only to my prove my privately nutty theory that this amazing group of ladies are somehow destined to know each other thru the sistas of September mummyhood!
And happy birthday to trill!! Xxx
-
it has definitely motivated me to want to do it more.
-
That is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you guys can meet Cally half way too...
what a great coincidence... its amazing
-
Me too G! When are you thinking about making the move?
MD I hope one day we can do a big Sept meet up.
-
Our goal at the moment is to get our house on the market in spring. So I probably wouldn't get up there till next year. Ideally I would like to be there before L starts school.
-
wow you are so patient G. when I make a decision like that I just want it done. now!
-
Yeah ikwym, but our property is so run down that it will take us that long to get it on the market. Houses don't sell well here in the winter so you really need to aim for autumn or spring.
-
Well I still think it's amazing!
How's everyone now that the excite has died down? I survived my first week back at work, although I'm not too sure how much work I actually did LOL.
DH took the girls to the pool today and E *loved* the waterslide! I sat at work having palpitations and trying not to think about it LOL.
-
lol, i can imagine md. watersides are so much fun.
we have been without power for 2 days and it is absolutely freezing here. not fun at all. the worst part is waking up in the morning and hearing all the neighbours generators going when we don't have one.

G: whhhaattt? what happened? it is sooo cold ATM too (and i am not even up in the mountains!)
Oz: that would be so so so awesome if you two could live in the same place! what a coincidence! i hope that it can happen for both you and Ginger! maybe that could be the sept 07 baby buddies reunion point
MD: yeah our mates were talking about some slide antics with their 4 year old....apparently there were a few hairy dunking moments when they lost their balance :o. thankfully (??) Leila is a bit of a scaredy kat like her dear mother and prefers the more demure past-time of splashing in a pool sans accessories lol.
AFM: 6 days until we go :o (quietly freaking out). DH forgot to get the visa stuff organised, so it was all heaped on me over the last 2.5 days...not happy jan. we could of been deported at arrival if this was not sorted. anyway $1200 later and we should be getting our visa in the mail in the coming days...nothing like keeping it to the line!
-
wow cass- how exciting!!!!! 6 days - awesome.
after the big storm we had no power. no idea why. it is back now though so that is ok. my house is completely trashed though. 2 days of no washing machine, dishwasher, vacuum etc. and it looks like a tip!!
i just can't believe they reckon it will be 31 on monday. i can't imagine it.
dh is going up to sydney on australia day weekend to have a chat to his brother about the option of us doing the big move. this is the first step in the massive process. if it goes well with his bro, and his bro thinks its a viable option then this will set the ball rolling. if his bro is negative about it...then we might have to reassess. i will keep you all posted.
-
:crossfingers: for you Ginger! it really does sound like a sea-change is just what your wee family needs...and then we can start, Operation Oz to get her down there too
oh man, i also cannot believe that it will be hot again in a couple of days...today is just miserable, misty rain with cold winds. seriously, it feels like late autumn.
-
hope the Sydney trip goes well G - its v exciting! are you able to think about anything else? I would be thinking/planning the whole time!
