Big school next year, I presume we will be like Trill and there will be something for enrolment Term 3 and then orientations in Term 4. Our local is less than 5 minutes walk away and we go pretty often as K likes playing at their playground. At this stage I doubt she will know anyone there. Most of her daycare friends are going to the Catholic School and those that aren't are likely going to the public school in town. Oh well, she'll make new friends I'm sure.

MD - I didn't make DH get the stool sample on Valentine's Day. The packet is still sitting in the bathroom - she did one yesterday while I was at the gym and he forgot! Chance is gone until next week now though as we are heading up to Canberra for my sister's bridal shower tomorrow after preschool. I'm not that desperate to get a sample to carry it interstate with me!

MD, Erin was an adventurer when she was little, rolling and wriggling all over the place but since she started sitting she now just sits on her butt all day - perhaps I should change my sig to The Bureaucrat.

Cass, slipping clothes in won't work with W. I am just hoping that he will be alright because everyone else is wearing it.

More sugar musing - I didn't stop eating sugar when I was BF Amelia because she didn't get grumpy and reflux but she was a chronic catnapper and stayed up to 10-11pm every night. Today I gave in and ate a couple of pieces of brownie and E was hard to get to sleep, didn't sleep for long during the day and then stayed up until 10pm. Coincidence?
I have talked to DH and I am going to trial a very low sugar diet for the kids (specifically W). I noticed today that he was tantrum central after having a couple of pieces of that evil but delicious brownie. Will see how behavior goes this next week...

Hi girls! Sorry have been Mia and hope you all still love me, lol
I'll just jump on in bc how could I possibly catch up
Arte the sugar thing will be interesting - I reckon you are onto something
I know mu boys generally have much worse nights on the days they are with my ILs!
Trill - I am so sad I didn't see you when you were here. Hopefully next time it will work out. Sounds like you had an awesome time.
G how goes the moving plans?
    Cass - loving your updates.
    Hi to everyone else

Afm all is well. Dh is back on Saturday after 2 weeks.. Has been a hardnjuggling act but all ok. Boys are great - j is pretty much toilet trained - it was quite easy as he just decided and off we went! Has some days w accidents but most with none.
Noah is getting so grown up- loving 4yo kinder. Yep he is starting prep next yr - but obi he is already at the school so no concerns ther. He just walks upstairs and puts on a uniform (which he is so excited for)

Better go - am so exhausting - single parenting plus full time work = total exhaustion (to top it off I went to syd for a
    Presentation on Tuesday!)
    Will try to keep up
    X

I thought I lost you all! Sorry its been so long.

All this talk about school makes me sad. L is loving pre-prep and is one of the more out going kids and a real leader (according to his teachers). I think he will love school. Not sure where he will go yet, just one of the local ones though. Z started daycare one day a week 3 weeks ago, we had a few tears in the morning last week but doesn't want to come home at pick up. She is toilet trained now (day time) which is great, she was even accident free at CC last week and it was the first time I sent her in undies.

Arte we reduced sugar when L was having lots of meltdowns and it seemed to help.

Oz! Nah, we're here...and prolly will be til the cows come home LOL. That's fantastic that L is thriving, I'm sure he'll do well settling into school as well. Yay for TTing Miss Z , and I'm glad she's taking to CC ok.

MP, yes of course we still love you! Sounds like you as just every bit as busy as usual. Any news on the "developments" front?

Arte, it will be interesting to see what happens when you cut down on the sugar. Chocolate can be very stimulating by itself, nice combo of food chemicals, caffeine and then add sugar too. LOL at the Bureaucrat.

Cally how did the bridal shower go? How exciting! When's the actual wedding?

Cass, I'm a bit confused about your mention of school? I thought you were heading to bella Italia for the remainder of the year(?) so how does school orientation etc fit into that? LOL at the girls' routine.

There is an open day up at the school in a couple of weeks, but that's the only one for the year. The teachers go down to the kindy to observe the kids before they settle on the class placement (ie they take what they observe into account in the class design). The kids do 2 x half a day orientations in the class with the teacher who will be their teacher next year, and there's an option for another day as well if she needs it. The lady I saw suggested doing a social story book (with pictures of the school uniform, bag, details about what will happen at school, etc) so that's a good idea. I'm sure she'll come around to the idea after I wear her down over a whole year LOL.

Yep I was wondering about school for miss l too - how will that work cass??? Is your house rented out? I am having dilemmas re our house ATM
On ten developments front...we are still thinking about a move oseas - to Singapore or hong kong. Depends on an opp for dh which we are Persuing. Timing depends on my work too - not loving what I am doing but in the running for a great role and If tat hAppens I will do that for a year at least...sorry nkt being more specific.. Lots of balls in the Air will let you know as soon as anything eier way firms up
Dh should be landing soon - was meant to be this morning but he was delayed...not happy about that

MP, I would be very unimpressed if DH was more than a minute late after two weeks away! Good luck with the job and everything - hope it all turns out well.

Oz, WTG on the toilet training! That is awesome! Still a mile away with A.

MD, the schema book is a good idea. Perhaps I should make one for W to take some of the uncertainty out of the whole thing.

Busy day painting and gardening. My brother and his girlfriend came up and helped which was great
