cally- L just got grommets and it has been the best thing ever. he still does swimming etc.
have no time now but will bbl with more!!!
This is where we need Leemar! Her boys had grommets didnt they
Can she still do all her swimming with them? I hope that it all clears for her; can't be much fun.
Oz: how long is your DH working away for again? I have a terrible memory ATM... btw, i love seeing all your beautiful photos and updates on the business. truly amazing stuff woman!
MP: no less than a year! i wish that this trip was either shorter, or longer. We are really stuck between worlds where you need to set everything up, but dont want to do too much or spend too much investing in stuff we need ITMS.
AFM: all good here. Took the car for a drive today!!! So weird driving on the other side of the road lol. we went to beverly hills and west hollywood along sunset boulevard. pretty awesome. unfortunately the girls have the lurgy of all lurgies and we couldnt really stop anywhere. but will have to go back to WH as it is TOTALLY awesome. vintage clothes stores galore!!!!

Yeah, she can still swim, we just have to do the ear plugs and swimming cap thing. Also for washing hair (although obviously not the cap thing then!).
MD - I think it has been around for longer than just her funny tummy time as everyone seems to think it has affected her speech
Arte - have you got your referral yet for W?
MP - Come on in and tell us about your new job!!
My boss flies out in the morning for a month in Canada/US. Lucky fella.
Cally, nothing has arrived yet. My DH informed me that there may be a trip to Canada for him this year. Not impressed. I have issues with him traveling the world while I am at home doing his share of the domestic stuff as well as my own!
Cass, hope the girls are feeling better
DH came across his old mini disc player (backed the wrong horse there lol) and gave it to W. I just walked into W's room to find him reclined on the bean bag with headphones on listening to Linkin Park!
Low sugar diet didn't really happen - I sent him off to kindy with a good lunchbox, then DH stopped on the way home and let him pick a giant cookie for lunch!
Mine's off to an exotic location next week. I couldnt' have described the state of our marriage any better!
pmsl @ W's taste in music. E's practically a professional music critic because I show my kids selected highlights from Rage, and she speaks with authority on which ones are best! H's friends always tell her she has weird taste in music but of course half the time it's because she's listening to music that won't be in the top 20 for another 6 weeks or so.
That sucks MD. I really resent that not only does he get to go somewhere new and cool, but I have to work doubly hard to enable it. I hope your DH isn't away for too long
I hardly ever listen to music these days but since the mini disc discovery I have been playing some in the car (someone also backed the wrong horse there lol). It is a whole treasure trove of music from 2001 and he requests things like Korn, Linkin Park, anything on the heavy/metal side. Come to think of it, he used to kick like crazy only for the song Closer by Nine Inch Nails when I was pregnant.
Luckily it's only a few days this time, and not really anywhere that's on my wish list. But it does plug into my accumulated reserves of seething resentment anyway. But I've put in my order for some duty free treats so I can't reeeeeally complain this time.
LOL at your vast mini-disc collection. We were so technologically backwards for a few years there, that one just missed us completely. Have you tried W with any musical instruments? Like a guitar or keyboard? I bet he would be entertained for hours working those out.
OK. i am also really really PEEVED that DH gets to go to fun places and have fun times without the (gorgeous) kidlets hanging off him. SO. I propose....
An exotic getaway for all of us ladies for a long weekend...start planning. I am thinking vanuatu. that way, it is totally non biased for Arte in that it is a place that none of live inYou may think i am joking, but i am not...
think this: and then tell me you aint tempted...daquiri ladies?
(OK, so it's Fiji, but hey, a few 1000km either way lol)
LOL at the seething resentment!
Cass, I am so in! In fact, I shall buy a lotto ticket this week
MD, we have a kids keyboard that he butchers. He has always hated music - used to scream the whole way through our Music and Movement group until I gave up going. Suddenly he likes it, go figure.
Yep, I'll go pick up a lotto ticket too!!!
GAH! I have just put myself on a self imposed ban again for a while because I have loads to do and it's just not getting done. So I love you all and will see you in a few weeks! Take care my lovelies![]()
Nooooo Trill!!! Come back we neeeeeeed yoooooooou.
(Haha. That will be me too in a few weeks time)
Good luck Trill.
Today the head teacher at kindy suggested I go over to meet the new principal of the school. Apparently in his mission statement he mentioned supporting children in whatever area they were gifted in and she thinks I should find out what that means in practical terms and to give him a heads up at what is coming his way. The kindy teachers have no doubt that W is gifted. The thought of battling through school makes me tired though. There is an open morning tea on fridays so I will head over there next week for a chat.
Goodluck Trill! I'll be here when you get back
Arte: I guess that sounds practical...hopefully it will be straightforward
AFM: took the girls to Malibu today. gorgeous weather...found a great place called 'paradise cove' that has a restaurant/bar right on the beach and you can sip mojitos on deck chairs while the kidlets throw sand at eachother. ate the most amazing food (loads of prawns and clams etc).
also saw the twilight chick (Kirsten stewart) in santa monica...hard to miss what with all the paparazzi surrounding her (seriously, how many photos do they need of her getting in the car?)
Hi Girls
Arte - thats so great that the kindy teacher and school will already be on to how they can help W. What kind of things does the kindy teacher notice with him and do with him? I think it is great if you can get them involved with the planning etc early - will make it an easier transition and also will ensure he really gets the most out of the school too.
Cass - woo hoo on malibu - sounds awesome. maybe you will enjoy the LA exp more now you have a car. so, will you only be in Italy for a short time now?
Ginger - how are you>? how are the moving plans coming along?
Trill - dont leave us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All is well here. Boys are going on a dads and kids camping weekend this weekend with a few others - should be great for all of us LOL. i am sure the 30 hours they are away will fly! i will focus on exercising and also have brucnh with a friend tomorrow and girls night sat night.
As many of you saw on FB I have a new job! massive massive promotion (wil be heading up a new business (within my company) with around 400-500 staff across 8-12 locations). Big learning curve! I am thrilled!!!!!! prob means oseas off the table as this is a bit of a game changer for us. and i think i wil defer uni as i have a lot to learn in the role too.
Boys are great. J is basically day tt'd - awesome! N is going amazingly at kinder and loves it. he has had a cold all week (which i have now)
Oh MP I am so thrilled for youit is such an achievement. I LOVE when we can see great women acheive great things!
