G, I wouldn't bother replying to your distant friend. I might consider adding a relation after all that time, but not a sort of friend from high school. Some people take FB friend to be anyone that ever met or vaguely remember the name of. I think my fb is set to super paranoid mode so I (hopefully) don't come up in searches.

MP, glad you a feeling better about the glasses. I am sure he has not missed out on anything, it was just his normal itms. Now he will be all set up for school etc, no problem (you certainly didn't offend me on the glasses thing either).

First snow on the mountain over the last couple of days and OMG it is freezing! This house just has a heat pump, doesn't get snuggly warm like having a fireplace. Might have to get an oil heater for the bedrooms too, gets a bit chilly up there.
