    Babies Born ~ September 2014

After coping so ridiculously well, last night I was struck down with gastro from both ends. I'm paranoid it's a symptom of something serious after childbirth or breastfeeding? No one else in the house is sick! I can't get out of bed and it talks all my energy to feed her 😢

I'm pretty sure now I have mastitis. I didn't take my temp but I didn't need to, I thought I was going to combust. 😞 Any suggestions on treatment? This is the first time I've it.

Straight to dr Jessica. Can you get to one today? You might need antibiotics.

Oh no Jessica! If it's really bad you need antibiotics, and it sounds that way if you're stuck in bed

Sorry to hear you're not well Jessica!
I'm so tired! She just poos all night long! As soon as she is fed, settled and back to sleep...giant poo so then I do the whole process again. It was midnight before I even got to sleep last night. And witching hour (or hours) sucks! Sorry for the rant having a blah moment. Lucky she is gorgeous!

Re: Babies Born ~ September 2014

It came on so quickly! I've been expressing all day and then feeding her straight afterwards and I feel so much better, but still not 100%. I'll definitely ring a home visiting doctor if it gets worse again. Thanks girls.

Lady-bug, I have the same problem with the poos, I don't remember newborns pooing this much! Overnights for me consist of feeding every 2.5hours which includes around 15mins on boob one, 5mins to change a stinker, 15mins on boob two, 5mins to settle her in her bed, then 10-20mins of me lying there listening to her going to sleep and logging into BellyBelly! So that's one hour of being awake every 2.5hrs. Ouch!

But to end on a positive, I love having the older kids to help out!

I'm glad you're feeling better Jessica, sounds like you're doing the right thing keeping the boobs drained. Massage any hard lumps you can feel too!

I'm with you all on the poos! Dd did not poo much at all, but she was quite the pee-er. But ds is always pooping! They are not usually big poos but I am going through sooo many nappies it's shocking. Jessica your routine sounds like mine, there really isn't much sleep time in between all that feeding... I'm glad your older kids are old enough to help out

I just looked into starting the fb group, I think I need to add at least one person to start it up. Can someone who was interested in joining pm me your email addy?

Both kiddies are asleep at the moment (as is dh ), was going to start the ppl and birth cert forms but ended up on here instead haha. Are people going to get the commemorative certificate? I ummed over it so much with dd and ended up getting it, this time I'm just going to get the same one but the boy version!

I'm not getting the commemorative birth cert. this time. I did with DS. It was the harbour bridge one that they don't have now. Would be nice to match, but hey.
Now I just need to wait for DH to do his bits on the form....... DH and forms.... Ugh! He manages Everytime to get things wrong. Have a go at the form. Have a go at whoever created the form. Have a go at whoever designed the pen he's using to complete the form. Have a go at me for even asking him to complete his tiny, tiny, tiny part of the form. Ugh!

Re: Babies Born ~ September 2014

    Oh jessica that's bad.

Hope the pooing settles down for everyone soon! We cloth nappy and I'm certainly having to keep on top of the washing so I don't run out of nappies

My baby boy was more unsettled last night. First night of milk and first 'real' poo. He has been much better today thank goodness. I'm half hoping for a better night. DH is going away tomorrow, not the best when I've hit the crying day or am I just sad/scared that I'm on my own with 5 already tomorrow. Never planned on having a 5day old on my own. Thank goodness it's still school holidays. DH back Wednesday night so not long away. Now I'm off to cry again lol!

Tegam just take it easy and only do what you can. The kids can have some fun days at home, or maybe organise a few play dates as long as the kids can get picked up/dropped off.

I've set up a Facebook account just for the purpose of chatting with you lovely ladies! Let me know what I need to do.
