Same with us. not much sleep happening here at night !
Do I have the only good night time baby? Or maybe it's because we co-sleep *shrugs* Lol. Hope you can all get some sleep soon. Took Monster Man to the doctor today. Poor bubba has reflux so we are now mixing infant gaviscon into his bottles. I'm hoping that it makes our day times a bit better sleep wise as he is awake almost all day at the moment with the discomfort :(
Ok listen up September babies, night time is for sleeping! You can all get together and party all night when you are much older but right now your mummies need some sleep!!!
Oh Kalina, hope he feels better soon.
Milly is sending out invites.

Lol Eivie! We can send them all off for their 18th birthdays together.
Thanks too. He's had a bottle just now with his gaviscon & is ASLEEP! It's before 11pm and he's actually asleep somewhere other than in my arms! Fluke? I hope not. Lol
Brilliant! Thanks gaviscon!
Raupe, that bodysuit is priceless lol :D
Little man sleeps well for a breast feed baby. A few times I've had 3 x 4hr stretches. A bad night is frequent feeds but i just sleep thru them as we too co sleep :) I haven't had one episode of crying/screaming in his life. Have I mentioned how much I love this baby! But all those hating me, I paid my dues with my fourth and she can still wake me up to 4 times a night most nights :) and she is almost FOUR
I'm glad I'm not alone, thanks ladies. And love the bodysuit Raupe! Dd wasn't like this, she spent a lot longer feeding but then at this age would just sleep without much assistance between feeds! Tegam wow four times a night at four! Lucky bubs is a good sleeper for you then ;)
So how is/was everyone's postpartum bleeding? Mine has been on and off again but last night I passed a huge clot and everything seems to have settled now. Fingers crossed
Some days nothing other days only small
Was very heavy for 2 weeks but settled this week
Wow the afterbirth pains with no 3 were horrid ! Does it get worse with each baby?
My bleeding finished up a week and a bit ago. And after pains were horrid! I've heard they do get worse with each baby, but I've only had the two to compare.
After pains almost killed me with number 3 and 4 then almost nothing with number 5.... Weird!
My bleeding was never heavy but it's constant, I reckon it will go past 6 weeks like last time and I'll need to do an u/s etc...
I've heard the pains get worse with each child! This time was worse but only lasted a few days, and it wasn't that bad still... something to look forward to if we go for #3?
My bleeding finished about a week ago. After pains were horrible this time!! And my 'bits' we're definitely more sore this time. Hoping my period stays away for 12 months like with the boys!
Not much after pains here but still bleeding on and off after 5 weeks. Getting a little nervous about it. Cattie, what happened with you? What are they looking for with the u/s?
I think the u/s was to check nothing was remaining there from the birth, not sure what exactly like a small piece of placenta maybe? If they do find something, they would do a d&c to clear it all out. But there was nothing there for me, my obs then put me on antibiotics to make sure it wasn't an infection. I think it was nothing really, just me...
Mine was heavy for about 10 days, almost disappeared, then comes back lightly every few days.
Are the after pains like period pains/mild contractions? If so, I never got them?! I read about them being nasty by #3 when I was pregnant, and then became worried about them! That's a lesson in everyone is different/what you read on the internet huh! The only real pain I've had post birth is from the constipation (other than the breastfeeding beginnings) but I think that is finally on track!
Alright, posting in here 'cause I don't trust FB. Milly is almost 7 weeks old. Just before, when I went to the loo, there was some blood on the toilet paper. :(
Light, but bright red. You can't seriously tell me I'm getting my period already?!? I stopped bleeding heavily 2 weeks after birth and had only very light bleeding/ browny discharge until 4 weeks after. So really I only had 3 weeks of total freedom. That doesn't seem right! Bubby is exclusively breastfed, she still feeds every 2 hours during the day and every 3 hours during the night. I feel cheated!
Raupe it could be just a random little bleed. I had a few like that here and there after DS1. Maybe see how it pans out?
Have you had sex recently? Could be something from that? Hope is not your period, that's just not fair! And not impossible either.
Forgot to add:
Hubby wants another baby as soon as possible, I'd rather wait until bubs is at least one. So I was hoping my period would stay away for at least a year! Stupid body is plotting with dh against me!!
Also anything is possible. Not that your post was about conception but my mw conceived her second baby when her first was only 8 weeks old and she was exclusive breastfeeding on demand.
Which reminds me... must think about contraception.
Ahh I hope your body isn't listening to DH!
It might just be a random bleed. My fingers are crossed for you! Keep us posted :-)
I haven't had any signs of my period coming back so I am hoping the woopsy DP and I had the other day doesn't become anything :/
Oh yes! Scary!
Tbh if dh would have had sex in the past few weeks I don't think I would have bothered with contraception.... scary thought indeed!
Honestly I was just happy to be able to have sex like normal again without a huge belly! And I can take or leave sex! So that explains the woopsy. But we've only had sex once lol. No other chances!
It does seem awfully early! I had some fluid today which I thought was from pelvic floor issues (!) but when I went to the toilet it was a little red (very faint pink tinge). I could be wrong but maybe the blood/discharge comes back a little when you are breastfeeding a lot, because it's happened twice for me now immediately after Maya has fed a lot over the day/night.
I only remember cause I was embarrassed to tell my OB with my first (he was a work friend before being my ob) that yes my DH and I'd dtd and my periods returned.... Before my 6 week check. Totally ripped off. Never happened so early with the others ... That's sex or periods lol. And yes she was exclusively breast fed, but I think she we a 'good' sleeper, whatever that was lol
Gee I hope mine stays away a while, I only finished bleeding a week ago - right on 6 weeks after birth!
Time for a new thread chatterboxes :D
