to all on the night waking and early morning waking too!!
Malyna - in terms of night waking, DS has never really stopped doing it He did get much MUCH better in about mid Jan until early March when it started again. By better I mean that he was still waking 1-3 times a night but only needed a few minutes to resettle (dummy replacement, tucking back in, drink, quick cuddle etc). Lately with all the comings and goings of his dad, he's been not wanting to go down of an evening and much harder to resettle overnight too. The worst was nearly 2hours awake a few nights in a row last week. *yawn* Having said all of that, we are still getting the random sleep through though too. And he still has a day sleep of at least an hour (although it's getting later and later in the day - still awake now for example). So I can't really complain that much.
OP/Olive - That clock sounds awesome! I've heard of them before but forgot about them. DS would love a sheep one as we are in the middle of a Shaun the Sheep obsession here. He would watch the episodes all day if we let him LOL!!
Meg - Your DD sounds very clever knowing all of that!! DS can do some counting but not always in order, he can say "A-B-C" and knows the letter J by sight and he has some colours but tends to say everything is blue if he is not sure!
We made it to DSs 2 year old check the other day. He is 11.355kg (following his own curve just above the 10th%); 89cm tall (getting taller for his age) and head circ of 49.5cm (getting more in proportion to his height!). His favourite sayings are "I don't like it" when he doesn't want to do something. Or he just says no and runs away We are working on please and thank you atm and of course, just coping with increased seperation anxiety given what is going on. It's understandable but hard work when DP is not around and DS tells me he is going to "see daddy tomorrow, yes, ok".
DP is going ok so far. We are enjoying some time at home this weekend and through this next week. They are going to see if they can harvest his stem cells next Monday and he has to do self injections twice a day to help the cells leave his bone marrow. If not enough get out into his blood stream they won't be able to do the transplant and so the chemo won't be as high a dose as if they could put stem cells back afterwards. I have really mixed feelings about his treatment. On the one hand it will save his life (hopefully) and what could be more important than that? But on the other hand, his scans are clear again and these drugs have massive implications for his fertility. Some say chances are low it will ever return, others say it could be 2 years before it comes back. I am not coping very well with the thought of never having another baby. Of raising DS as an only child. It's not what we planned and not what I want (although a live DP and having a DS at all are of course most important). It's really hard to explain.
Anyway, hope you are all enjoying the long weekend. xx
that must be hard kaz did they tell him to freeze sperm before treatment??
DD isnt having a sleep today eekkk decided to try without today in the hope she goes down easier tonight and stay asleep, lets hope it works!
i weighed and measured DD yesterday and shes 12.7kg and 94cm
He tried back in late October when he was an in-patient and before chemo started but he was too sick to produce a sample. (He was very close to being intubated to support his breathing and he struggled to shower himself unasisted, was coughing up blood all day, in pain etc etc).
We tried again before this current round of treatment started but it was only 2 months (at best) since the previous chemo stopped so it wasn't long enough for the sperm to return. All the testing did was confirm he is infertile.
Kaz. That must be so hard on you all. Hang in there. Xxx
E has croup and is quite unwell. We also just had to rid the kids of headlice!
I am mortified. It makes me I'll thinking about them living in their hair! I know they will prob get it again in the future, but Ewwww.

Oh lilima hugest for you and DD. I hope she is pain free. How stressful for you all.
det - 160 hours it's pretty exciting though too!
DS didn't have a day sleep at all yesterday and right before bed he lost the plot completely. Was horrible. He got into such a state he was nearly vomiting but I couldn't stop (was getting him out of the bath when it happened) as we only had another 10mins to get him through the routine to bed and although I felt terrible I would have felt worse calming him down only to upset him again when drying/dressing/teeth brushing etc. The minute we walked into his room he started to settle and he went straight down but we still had some wake ups overnight I think they are hear to stay for now. Just got back from the first resettle now.
