Lilima did you have any success with the gro clock???
With DD we tell her she has to stay in bed and stay quiet until the sun comes up... Otherwise we don't give her a reward in the morning. Well she used to get a reward, now she just happily does it. Well - mostly happily
Saw the Aldi catalogue and thought of you guys
Thanks for asking about us ladies - sleep school was ok. I thought it had helped - but the last two nights have been really bad again
Ah well... I think we just have to ride it out. At least he had a little sleep in this morning which was good.
I've just booked DS's first birthday - scary! It's in a month!!! Time flies...!
OP - A year has flown!
This thing is, she is happy to stay in her bed, and is cheerful in the night, she is just AWAKE! So yes she will stay there till the sun comes up on the clock, but it doesnt stop her singing and chattering!
Hellooooooooo!
hellooo
cooo weeee
i am boring
CBF unpacking anymore boxes lol
and its damn cold here and boring
ok thats it for me lol
Hello hello hello
I am being followed by the "Mummy where are you?" monster - she says it even when I am in the same room. I get no peace. She even has to sit on my knee to eat breakfast.
Hello all!
Well - I went back to work yesterday. Again. Only this time no baby in belly. To the best of my knowledge
Miss I told DH today that she wants a baby sisterNo idea where she got that from!!!! I'm starting to get a bit clucky....
Lilima - how's E?? That's so bizarre about her being happy just chatting and singing! Does she seem tired, or is she getting enough sleep even with these wake ups?
We've had two terrible nights here, with both kids. They take it in turns to wake up and scream out at me... Last night several times each hour... One louder and clearer but the other is still definitely saying "Mammaaaaaa!"
DH reckons it's a bit of separation anxiety on Miss I's part... After we both left her for the day, kinda makes sense. DS I think was too cold then too hot... We'll see how we go tonight.
Apart from that, the nanny went well, both kids were tired so DS had a lot of cuddles and DD watched a lot of Dora... But I said to the nanny when she's tired and grumpy you just gotta pick your battles. They'll settle in.
How are we all going with TT?? We seem to have regressed... Accidents a plenty recently. Possibly linked with me going back to work? Who knows. It's so frustrating - she has been in this same state for almost six months now. She's pretty good at home with no nappy on, but put undies and pants on and she just forgets and thinks she is wearing a nappy and just wees.
She doesn't seem to care either? My niece, she reached a point where she started getting embarrassed by her accidents. DD just doesn't care.
Do I just keep going on this track? So sick of cleaning the carpet and washing wet clothes every day. Grr!
No TT here - Miss J is just not ready yet. She wants to wear undies but won't use the potty so it's not going to happen in the near future. We will wait a bit longer I think - DD1 was 2.5 when she decided she was ready so I'm ok with that.
OP DD asks to sit on the potty all the time and its drving me nuts!
she knows when shes wee'd and often wants the nappy changed after one wee![]()
so were not TT but rather going with the flow...i dont think shes ready..
Hello everyone!!
lilima - How are the night wake ups going? I hope you had a great sleep on the weekend when she was at your mum's.
OP - LOL at you being clucky with a not even 1 year oldHow was returning to work? That is quite an ajdustment for everyone, not just the kids.

olive - I'd love to get my teeth whitened! What's involved in internal whitening and the other thing you mentioned? Sounds like a mouth guard for sport.
Nai & shell - I'm not going to be able to make it this weekendI'm so bummed I won't get to meet you guys. I've messaged Ali and explained all the reasons. Have a great time! I'll be thinking of you guys.
With TT - we have progress and then stalling and then progress and then stalling. We're in a stalling phase atm. He has used the potty on and off since new years day. We just offer and take his lead and accept if he says no. I'm not that fussed because with everything going on atm in our house I figure that if he had made more progress by now, he'd probably regress over the next couple of months and we'd be back to where we started from anyway.
DS is sick atm and DP is paranoid (and rightly so) that he will get it and the next phase of treatment will be delayedDS has been on anti-biotics since Monday when mum took him to the dr. while I drove DP all around the city getting scans at different hossys. DS has been ok - cold, sore throat, cough - the usual but today he won't get out of bed and just wants to cuddle or sleep. It's never happened before so I'm hoping he doesn't have anything more serious going on. He is borderline to be running a temp and doesn't feel overly hot but it's so freezing here today and the forecast is for snow! I bet he's caught the flu after I didn't get him vax'd the other week
I'm going to try to have a relaxed day at home and not stress about the clients I'm not at work dealing with or the fact that if I catch it, I can't visit DP next week either.
Kaz - I wish you could make it but I totally understand! We will have a drink in your honour!
Can your DP wear face masks around the house (I know it's a pain but might help protect him from DS's germs)
OP - how did work go? Are you still thinking of a change?
Have a great time girls, I'm so jealous. Maybe the next one!!
Oh and Malyna - I'd love to be included, thanks so much! Put me in as Anna![]()
Got you girls in... yeah I'm a dag... started writing another story, on top of the four book series.
DS has just started realising that his nappy smells and he is volunteering for a nappy change, when he feels he needs one, but at least it's better than the 15 minutes of chasing him around the house and fighting/arguing/trying-to-get-him-to-sit-still him to get his nappy changed.
Hope you all had a great girl's weekend.
malyna- I'd love a mention! Put me as Rochelle! Is it exxy to self publish? They had a book thing on here couple weeks ago, all book stalls set up with the authors selling their stuff, wouldve been perfect for you.
Kaz- How is everything going there with the treatment? Has DS reccovered from his virus wothout passing it on? Thanks for the drink on the weekend, we toasted to you and DP.
OP- how is being back at work going? Are the sleep issues resolving there?
TT here haven't even bothered, will start when its warmer, chuck on undies and let her run round with just that on.
Had a great weekend up in Sydney, besides being sick! Nai was great room buddie, sad we didn't get to meet you Ali, you'll have to come down to Melb!
We still need to get a meet up going here again, our kids will have grown so much since last time.
Shell - it's ok, you had to put up with me rocking up at all hours of the night and waking you up with my drunken ramblingsLucky you had a blocked nose as I probably reeked!
Ali - hope you are feeling better and sorry we missed you
Kaz - we missed you but hopefully next year!
I will start working on getting the Melbourne crew together!
It's not that expensive to self publish - but the marketing takes a lot of time. On Kindle it only costs you your time, and I think through Lulu, for a hardcopy it's not that expensive either - but you get a better return on Kindle books - which is why every man and his dog are self-publishing on Kindle and other e-readers.
Got your name down.
Maylna- how sweet. I just like being called Meg.
Shell - hope you get better soon.
Nai- have you checked out the ski report?
Olive- J is loving the reading eggs.
