K has a few too Sarah, then before you know it they are gone.. Have only showed up in the last little while. Also have had the milk ones on his nose and right above, since birth but fading.

Omg. We are talking 6 week check up? Seems like just yesterday we were discussing who was getting the next ultrasound. ; )

I am dying for this check up so I can get the all clear for the gym. Ps Kitty, when did you dtd? I think you said about 3 weeks but not sure.. SOOO keen. lmao.
Btw Ferrals, would not forget about you! I am thinking of making the switch from S26 gold but NO clue which one to pick.. K is not crying or cranky just very gassy and wanting a feed before the four hours...
*Started a thread cause thought you would not be back in here for a bit..

If anyone has any suggestions on brands of formula please let me know.. xx

Just dropping in to say hi, reading most days but usually when I am BF (like now) so hard to reply. So advanced apologies, this is a total me post...

All going well here, Aurora is a bit gassy too, worse in the evenings, cmhn told us to give her nappy free time when she is grumpy so she can kick her legs, seems to help and she gets a lot of farts and poos out then.
She is sleeping 2-3 hours, waking for a feed and a look around the back to sleep, forgot how sleep newborns are!

MJ is so good with her sister, helping and being so loving, it's so beautiful to watch

Been so busy as DH has not had any time off and trying to keep doing all of MJs usual stuff.

Ok, got to get to tge shops, will bbl

LMP - I had DS on nan, then switched to the normal s26 when the nan made him constipated. He drank every 4 hours unless going through a growth spurt. We tried about 6 formulas with dd1 because of her silent reflux and constipation issues, ended up on goats milk formula for her, but she fed every 2 hours for about 5 months. Dd2 was on a couple of different ones, ended up on Heinz nurture and fed every 3 hours. So I don't know if changing formula will help when he times his feeds cos I think it's a kid thing, not a formula thing. In my experience anyway with my 3 all being different. I just demand fed them and didn't worry about the clock. DS drank more than recommended on the tin,dd1 wouldntdrink more than 50ml at a time and dd2 was pretty much right on the recommended amount! Funny these things these babies! Always keeping us guessing

my little piggy is 5kg. I feel like crap cause the health nurse made me feel bad for FF
I dont think i will go back to her again. She made me feel like crap last time i was there too.
I give J Bellamy Organics. My sis recommended it and you can get it from woolies.
I dont want to have a pap. Im scared from when she did the check to see if my waters had actually broken at the hospital but i have to get my peri checked too.
That will be an interesting trip to the dr. Lucky I made it in the arvo so DH could come.

Thanks for posting that Mel. I only thought of it because I seen more then a few people where saying that when they switched from S26 gold their bubby had no gas and was feeding every 4 hours. I have been demand feeding up till this point but really trying to get more on a schedule as when I go off.. bub goes off. I haven't been super strict or anything just doing what works for us. He cries less when he expects it. The other day when I just let it slide... he still wanted to feed at similar times but was grumpy as.

I don't know, this whole baby stuff is not coming back to me like I thought it would. It does not help not having anyone around to talk to about baby stuff. Half the time would rather not post in here and varying with other forum atm.

Thanks though darlin. I think I might try one can of something different and then we shall see....

Kylz, let me know who she is... I have some anger to let off. I am sick of people and their judgements. Know your doing what is right for you and J and that is right. xx

LMP - I've formula fed 3 kids now, one from birth - believe me, I've been judged a lot and heard it all! The most important thing is that you are happy with your choices, and f**k what anyone else thinks

I'm here if you ever need to chat, I'm certainly no expert with babies - just my own - but no judgement here!
Kylz - read above comment lol

Kylz - Stupid MCHN should know better!

LMP - With DS we alternated between Heinz Nurture Gold and plain, and Karicare Gold and plain as after a while his reflux would come back and when we changed formula it would go away for a few weeks. With Elise we have plain Heinz Nurture for top ups when needed, and it seems to be ok, though today she chucked it all up again, poor thing is getting a bit congested.

    Hi everyone else!

afm - still feeling cruddy, my bestie just left and all I got done today was washing a few bottles. Elise is being super clingy this arvo/evening and won't sleep in her bassinet or let me out of her sight for more than 2 minutes at a time, she'll only sleep in my arms.
And poor DS is so sick with this cold we've all got, he's been asleep for the past 3 hours and is so congested.
My bestie is taking us all shopping tomorrow, so hopefully some retail therapy will make me feel a bit better.

Kylz, your the only one who can decide whats best for you and your baby. take everything they say with a grain of salt, ive herd a few people refer to them as textbook morons, and thats all they are! it is realy hard to find ones that are nice and respect your choices, after our next 3 'scheduled' appointments, im going to get 2 buses to the one i saw with dd1 befor we moved, they were freakin ace.

with formula, i used s26 gold with my 3, but it was a bit much for ds2 & dd1 so droped down to regular s26, they didnt like any of the other brands. im hoping to make it to 6 months, but if i get past 3 months without needing it, it will be a record for me.

Jenna, have you got a baby carrier? thats how i got my washing done thismorning, nd would not of got a thing done when krystal was a bub without it.

we are down to 4 names! then it will be decidiong the middle name....

Ugh... It's like it's a part of their training to learn how to instil guilt and fear in mothers! I get praised for our BFing achievement and then lectured about W having a dummy! Which I was told to use by a paediatrician when he was doing nothing but sucking on my finger constantly in hospy. I actually hid the dummy from her yesterday. I put it in his mouth to leave as he was ready to spack, then I covered the pram with a wrap so she wouldn't see it... *shame*

I feel for you girls, I really believe you need to do what's best for you. Tbh the whole breast Vs FF makes me feel guilty too. I feel to frightened to admit just how proud I am of our feeding achievement, especially of Wyatt's turn around, because I don't want to offend any of you guys. Which is silly because I know we
are all supportive of each other no matter what our personal preference.

    xoxo

Don't be silly jak. If I was patient I could too but I haven't been feeling well and sleep is the only thing that helps. He still gets a fair bit if ebm just not direct from boob cause he was hurting me messing around with the shield and won't take boob without it.

I am ok with him having a few Ff a day. I AFM proud that I have been able to give him boobie milk at all.

Jak - I'm a bit like you, I'm super pleased that S hasn't had any formula. Which is a record for me, but having been in a position that bfeeding didn't work out - I sorta keep things to myself because I don't want people to feel bad or guilty - because there isn't really any need to.

The only mothers that should be judged are the ones that don't feed their babies AT ALL.

    Awesome point Mel!!!
Seriously girls, there are some pretty sh*tty parents out there so why are we feeling guilty at all?!?!
    We rock! ALL of us

Kylz I hear ya on the breast shield front! Total pain in the a$$.

    We do all rock!!
I'm super proud of exclusively bfing cos its such a huge achievement for me after dd, but would never judge anyone who didnt. Tbh I couldn't give 2 sh*ts how anyone feeds their bub as long as they're happy. I cried cos we had to give chloe a dummy today meant to help with pain and her comfort feeding which was upsetting her tum more so far so good.

FF or BF who cares as long as bubs gets what he/she needs I'm proud of myself for BFing but I'd be just as proud fixing a bottle knowing he is happy and full.

louise: I get sad when I end up giving Chase his dummy. Of course he gags on it for about 10 mins then when he does realise he can suck on it and not drown in milk the little bugger won't let it go. it doesn't put him to sleep either weirdly enough, he just loves sucking continuously on it. I only give it to him when we are out though cos he is starting to cry really loud!!!

sarah: Woohoo down to 4!! Personally i love the name Alyssa, its my SIL's name. I forget about the baby carrier!! i'll have to try chase in the one I have, i tried him a couple of weeks ago and he cried but maybe he will be more adventurous a couple of weeks older

LMP: i think it was 3 weeks we DTD again. I was so excited cos we hadn't been able to DTD since I was 28 weeks

jenna: chase is clingy too and as much as it is annoying because i can't do anything i cant help but feel loved have fun shopping tomorrow, shopping can make anything better

jaki: can't believe the nurse gets up you for dummies. They give them to the babies in the hospital! don't feel ashamed for using one, especially since the peaediatician told you to. can't believe the crap nurses some of you guys get, the ones I saw were so laidback and unintrusive.

Kylz: hope your not letting what the nurse said to you about FF get to you, I think you are doing a great job. LIke Mel and everyone has said you're the only one who knows what J needs since your his mother. On the plus side you dont have to see that nurse anymore anyway

Mel: I don't think I said this yet but I love Sahti, its looks like such a beautiful name. Is it pronounced Sa-ti? Or like Sar-ti? Does it mean anything?

And if i missed anyone im sorry! trying to decide whether to go to bed or stay up. and as i type my boob is having a let down cos Chase has been asleep since 7pm and now its 1am...my boobs are used to him feeding every 3 hours, this is putting them out of whack lol

Went to the dr and im on the minipill for contraception...except i forgot to take it today which isn't a good sign that I will be properly protected against another pregnancy hahaha so chances are I might be pg again very soon LOL (serious joking I really dont want to get pg again so soon!!!!)
Also had my papsmear done brrr i hate those things but at least they feel better than the vagina telescope they used when I was pg. going for the diabetes test tomorrow, really hoping it comes back negative because i love sweets and fatty food.
