Well this will be short cos I am doing it from my phone cos our internet is down :( so a?noying! And jemima is having a bad few days. She is so awake and so hungry. I'm knackered! Anyway she's waking again so I'd better go.

AFU, Logan slept from 1-7 again last night. Leigh got him out of bed this morning, and put him in bed with me, so I could give him his bottle, and he started giggling at Leigh. It was sooooo cute. We are heading down to Spotlight tonight, so I will have a ball! I love craft shops!

AFU well thigns are going well, Ashley is being a gem of late and im so happy that he is behaving himself and doing as he is told, means i can go out with no tantys lol Andy is going great guns has a stuffy nose so he is on some cold meds for it poor thing. He now is having 170mls every 4 hrs during the night and is awake from 6am till 11am most days.
My course is going well altho my first two tests i didnt do too good at oh well. Andy is smiling more often now and has great eye contact mostly at food lol

LOL i find baby clothes RIDICULOUSLY expensive here so i thought i would put it out there and see. some are from pumpkin patch. if you want them, let me know and i will post them to you.
also, does anyone know where i can buy a PINK bumbo chair for under 50$$???

rainy - e is only just going into 000 now. plus a friends DD had a babt girl 10weeks prem at same time as me so what we cant use we can pass onto them. am gappy to share with the other ladies too!

Phoebe's starting to sleep longer overnight. Yay! And the ABs are working well - Natty's not been nearly as difficult this weekend. So, I'm feeling less like I'm in waaaaaay over my head, LOL!

snacks... yes she is. she is a giant. a fat compact giant with tiny hands and feet and the CHUBBIEST cheeks ever. i blow raspberries on them. LOL she is into 0 jumpsuits now. a friend of mine gave me some of her size 1 clothes and i put the tights on her as pants. last week they were loose round the waist and this morning they fitted. she is very chubby. so different to Q who was ALWAYS scrawny.
i have lots of milk this time, my boobs leak, she comes off and they keep squirting like a hose, and she chokes sometimes it comes out too fast. it was different with Q, he could never get enough. poor bugger.
its D-day for me. DH got a job and is off to work today. i am at home alone with all 4 of them! thank god for play station. if we were in london i'd have my 4 plus at least another 2!!!
snacks... Q has settled too. its hard hey. 2 year olds. so funny but hard work. he still pokes her eyes though and we have to watch him when we leave her alone to sleep. we are lucky we have brandon, he has grown up so much and is a really good big brother. we forget he is only 12. poor bugger. we have promised him a super dooper 13th birthday at dreamworld or something cool for all the crappy things he has had to put up with in the last 2 years.
anyways, we are off to town on the bus now. yay. NOT! miss london's public transport. i am teaching xavier how to use the bus so he can get the school bus alone. he wouldn't have to do that until year 7 in the uk. so much more independent out here.
Snacks - yay for feeling like things are coming togther! Awesome news on Natty's ahviour now and Pheobe's sleep! You'll feel like a new woman in no time!!
Raindrops - WOW out of 00's already? Allira's nearly out of her 000's now.. which is really sad (and slightly annoying). SHe is just too long for 000 bodysuits but still fits into pants and tops etc. They just don't stay little for long :(
Hi everyone! Hope you are all well. Same old here... Allira is 2 months old today!! I can't believe how quickly that has gone!! I have to organise her vax's this week sometime... poor chicken.
No news here. We're having a heap of Hubby's mates out to our place for go karting this weekend, so I've got lots of cleaning to catch up on!!
Still having drama's with DS and his eating. He's a stubborn bugger!

Long time no write I know! :( Just been busy! I hope everyone is well!
I am a little concerned about Cara's belly button. It was a little red at first, but appears ok now, but is very gunky. It has a bit of brownish discharge. It seems better after a bath. I have never had this problem before with other babies. Anyone else had similar probs or know what I should do to properly clean it?
Cara is 6 weeks old now and smiling and just starting to 'talk' hehe. I have even heard her laugh in her sleep..so cute!! I have no idea what she weighs. At 3 weeks she was 3.8kg. I used to take the babies to the local baby nurse at the chemist, but it seems they don't do it anymore. Though the chemist did say I could get her weighed their anytime if I want to. I have her 8 week check up soon anyway at the Drs for her immunisation.
I have had a few photos done of her lately. I've got a zillion photos on facebook hehe.
Off to have a shower..didn't get one yesterday. You get that..lol.
Cathy, Allira's belly button caused a few issues early on, and I was told if it got red or had smelly discharge, to see someone as it could be an infection. Maybe call the MCHN if you are worried. Allira has never had any discharge from her belly button.
Ok.. What is an MCHN? A midwife?

Raindrops - good to hear from you, sorry to hear you are still recovering, wishing you a speedier recovery and energy burst!!
Amy - sounds like you are having some wins with both Phoebe and Natty - yaaaaaah for your girls. Hopefully it continues and keeps getting easier every day. LOL - Play pen - DOH of course - hahahaha cant believe I called it a cage - LMAO. It was Bailey that was born with a tooth, not DH LOL - fortunately it has gone back down into the gum. (And no the MIL didn't BF despite offering advice to me about it which is a PITA, we were out to lunch yesterday and I took a bottle of EBM for Bailey and he took a while to drink it as was distracted with everyone around. MIL decided it was the bottle (it wasn't, it was because others like her were in his face rather than leaving me to feed him) so suggested I feed him where the nappy change facitilites were instead. As this was the disabled TOILET I politely declined. I felt like telling her to take her lunch and go and eat it in the loo).
Jess - sorry to hear your first 2 test didn't go too well. Great that Andy is being so good, must make it so much easier!
Bridg - nice block of sleep!! Has it continued?

Niadla - I dont think Bailey has a flat spot, but he definately prefers one side - always turning his head to the left, sometimes I can get him to turn it the other way, sometimes not LOL - not much else I can do. How fantastic is Allira doing? I bet you are a proud Mummy - congrats on the 2 month milestone
Vic - did you sort out your medicare cards? Are you feeling better?
BG - have you had E's Baptism yet? If yes, how did it go?
Cathy - LOL re the shower, I have had a few at 9pm at night after crazy days. I should really go and have one now as Bailey is asleep. Good to hear from you. I have been checking out your photo's on FB. Sounds like an infection re the Belly Button, maybe get it checked out?
AFU - all is well, although Bailey has had a few mornings where he wakes up with a terrible belly ache and cries and yelps with pain until he poo's. Yesterday I ended up giving him some paracetamol as I couldn't bear to watch him deal with it any longer (he then went to sleep and did a MASSIVE poo at the next feed), have tried lots of other ways to help him - bicycle legs, gentle massage, burping etc - any other ideas? I hate medicating him unless its absolutely necessary.
Yesterday we went out for lunch and he was sooooooooooooooo good, slept for 2.5 hrs in the pram (despite my PITA MILA hovering in front of him for 2 hours asking when he would wake - WHAT is WRONG with this woman,? I told her I would like him to remain asleep as he obviously needed it) When he awoke and settled happily back into his pram after his feed he was giggly and smiley for 2 hours - I was so proud of him. I am a horrible bit** though as later when the MIL again stuck her head in the pram he burst into tears after smiling at everyone else and I was secretly glad, serves her right for being a PITA all day. LOL Karma will no doubt get me for taking secret pleasure in that LMAO. I'm so evil!! I need to build a bridge and get over my MIL issues!!
I think Bailey is in the middle of his 12 week (I KNOW 12, yes 12 week) wonder week/growth spurt. He fed 11 times on Saturday and then slept it off yesterday and has had a few interesting mornings, but mostly things are getting easier overall.
I must go and visit some child care centres as we will be using a couple of days of child care this time next year and there are some LONG waiting lists so I really need to get it organised now - crazy, I think that will be my goal this week

Hey Cathy your best bet is to clean her belly button with some normal saline. If u don't have any u cam make some with salt dissolved in warm water. When u wash it have a good look to see if it is red and irritated try to ry it as best u can. If she isn't sick with it ie having temps and off her food I would try the salt water for a little while and if u get a good result great if it doesn't improve or she has fevers see ur dr.

Just went and saw the child health nurse (first time ever hehe...used to go to nurse at chemist with other kids...but they aren't there now). Cara is fine. I just need to dry clean her belly button every nappy change with a cotton bud. Should dry up fine then. :) Got her checked out. Such a good girl, didn't cry when she was naked!! Nice warm room. She weighs 5.14kg now! Still fits in the newborn nappies though. :)
CathyS - CJ's belly button was a bit gunky for a while and the salt water did the trick and it healed over really quickly at about 2 weeks, but have got friends where sounds more like Cara and was six to seven weeks till it healed over.
Bella29 - I would die having no internet, don't have on my phone either so would be totally MIA, although it may mean I get the jacket I started knitting CJ the day before she was due finished - that is my goal for this week or she will be too big for it.
Naomi - Medicare card is on its way apparently. I am feeling much better and have finished the antibiotics, but had six week check this morning and my left side is still really tender and the doctor also thought I shouldn't be having any spotting still so is sending me for an ultrasound on Thursday - hopefully that will show nothing or shed some light on what is going on.
Raindrops - CJ is almost out of her 00 wondersuits too, she is very long so it seems to be mainly the length that she is outgrowing. I am off to second hand kids market again to get some more stuff as lots of the stuff we have been given is for 6 month olds and yes she is big but not that big. Is getting a bit annoying that people seem to refuse to give you clothes that will fit straight away, especially people from the UK who send over all this 6 month and up stuff now but will be summer here when she is 6 months so some of it may never get worn - such a waste. We are short of things to wear now as well is frustrating - poor thing she is in pink wondersuits in nearly all the photos (picked up a few at last second hand baby market and have been best buy).
BM - Glad Andy is being so well behaved, and well done for manage to cram in any study with two kids. I found I couldn't study while working because was too much effort, so can't imagine what would be like with two kids.
AFU - I seem to have acquired thrush on my nipples (probably antibiotics contributed), and am getting a pain in one that seems to go right into my back when I am feeding - the doctor has given me some tablets and also some daktarin to put on it and I hope it does the trick because I had just started to find feeding much easier and more enjoyable - but at the moment I dread having to do that side. The other side seems to be starting to go the same way as well but hopefully the medication will do the trick.
In terms of expressing breastmilk - when is best time to do it so not to encourage greater supply - I just want to express some so have some if need to leave CJ for a few hours at any time etc - haven't done any expressing up to now.
Just booked flights to go to the UK for a holiday in October, I am going over with CJ on my own at the beginning of the month and DH will follow and have three weeks with us both returning beginning of Nov - now just have to try and schedule in all the people want to see (or want to see us :-( )
geeze i must have a tiny bubba hes still in 000 and will be for a while yet only just grew out of 0000 j is sleeping up to 8 hours at a time at night but not liking to go back to sleep after 7 in the morning :o so not used to wakin up early

vic... its proboably cause they were big babies. my partner says its like adults, we all come in different heights and weights so babies will too. ralie is big but really round and short. LOL. she has started lying our straight so she is starting to look longer, but has the biggest rolls on her legs, so adorable and girlie. its hard with the clothes in the uk cause you can never buy things for now, you have to time ahead and buy at opposite seasons. it annoyed me all the time when i would try and buy my friends here gifts.
niadla...we are having eating problems as well. DS is refusing to eat dinner with us and wants to nibble all afternoon and evening on naughty food. but i have heard that 2 year olds suddenly start eating less but keep growing at an alarming rate. apparently they don't get thier appetite back until 3 or 3 1/2.
food is just a way of them playing out who is in control and getting attention. it went on with our 6 year old for a couple of years due to parents split. he still plays games when he is upset about something.
going now. about to be dinner time in the mad house. 4 kids is too many!! don't go that far if you still have the chance! or if you want a career. LOL i miss working and leaving the house without children. but i do love them all. xox
Vic - I find expressing more successful in the morning as I tend to get bugger all later in the day - I usually wait until about an hour after a feed. I think most woman find they have more supply earlier in the day (especially if bubs has slept for longer stretches during the night, also if I am a bit tired my milk supply seems lower). If you are just expressing now and then it probably wont alter your supply too dramatically

Hi girls, how on earth do you all find time to post?! You are all super mums! :clap: By the time Kyson and I get up, feed the baby, try to get him to sleep for a bit (or at least rest without crying) so I can have a bite for brekkie, feed again, play time, hopefully Kyson will go down for a small nap again so I can get some washing or cleaning done, feed again, then it seems it's already time to pick up the DSS's from school, then it's homework time and then time to start organising dinner, another feed or two, baths, cranky crying time, and finally a last feed and bed time (for both me and Kyson, lol!). Ok, so my day isn't always quite like that. A lot of the time I can't even get Kyson to go down for a nap unless he's laying on me. It's a hectic life, but I love being a mummy and love my little boy soooooo much!!!
Most nights Kyson has been sleeping rather well. He will go anywhere from 3 to 7 hours between feeds, but when he wakes up during the night he never cries. He'll lay there next to me just being fussy and moving around and just dozing until I decide it's been long enough to feed him. Occassionally he'll have an extra nap in the morning so we both get a sleep in, but in general he wants to get out of the bedroom once the sun comes up. Having said that though, it's usually after 8.30 that we get out of bed (once DH has gotten the DSS's ready for school and they head off for the day).
I've had to pack another lot of clothes away that Kyson has grown out of. So sad! He's growing way too fast. He's still mostly wearing 000 clothing, but because I like to put him in a long sleeve romper with a long sleeve top over it during the day, I was finding that the sleeves on the tops were getting a bit tight. So he is now wearing 00 tops over his rompers. I tried a short sleeve top over the long romper and was happy to see that it was a bit big on him :) I keep telling him I'm going to put him in a box so he can't grow any bigger, hehe ;)
Vic, I always express in the morning and find that I can get about 150ml from one side while I feed Kyson on the other side (it's a fun juggling act, lol). Often in the morning I feel quite engorged so there is plenty of milk there for me to just offer Kyson the one side. I also try to express once in the evening as well, but I usually do that one about an hour after I feed Kyson. We went and bought a new freezer last night to keep in the garage because I am filling up our freezer inside with milk :ROFL Don't worry, it's not going to just be for milk, we like to cook in bulk and freeze the meals so we don't have to cook as often.
Oh, oh, the small fry is stirring already. Back to mummy duties :)
Evening ladies. I did write a post earlier today, but BB kicked me off, so Im writing this in word and will copy it over when I have time. Its midnight now, and Logans unsettled and I need a shower, so will copy this over tomorrow.
CathyS- Logan had some gunk when his cord was falling off, and FIL wiped some Metho on there. Yes, I know, it does sound cruel, and like it would hurt, but Logan didn?t even cry, so it musnt have hurt. By the end of the day it had cleared up. If it is very gunky, then yes, I would go and get it checked out.
Naomi- Logan is still sleeping ok at night. No doubt it will change though. Poor u re the MIL thing. Sorry to say this, but she does sound like a PITA. With Baileys wind pains, u could try Gripe Water, or u could also try some cooled boiled water to help him bring the wind up. The Gripe Water seems to work for Logan. I find all the water does to him though, is make him wee a fair bit. LOL about Bailey crying at MIL. Go Bailey!
AFU, Well Jake and Zac went back to kinder today, and they really enjoyed it. I think they missed going to kinder. Logan and I came home and had a nap in the big bed, and then watched the midday movie together, and then went and picked up the boys. Its been raining here for a few days, so pretty miserable. I have a check up (I presume it?s a checkup) with the Gyno tomorrow. Is this normal after having stitches??
Ok, so now I got to finally post that post, heres an updated post, while Logan is happily lying in his pram talking to his friends.
The Gyno appointment went well. She was very happy with the way things have healed. I dont have to go back, so Im pretty happy about that.
Logan has been full of smiles, and is starting to coo (if thats what u call it). He is still trying to roll over, and this morning got further than he normally does. He is wearing 000 clothes. I find the Bonds Wondersuits are alot smaller than the Target brand ones.

not a lot to update - E doesn't let me have much time without her at the moment so when i do, i do what i can to clean and feed myself - i will pop back in later - she's waking up again... sigh

Nicky: Aw, @ the jabbies. Phoebe's having hers this Thursday. It's very sad! IKWYM about them growing too quick. I can't believe how quickly the time has passed since sharing and reading about everyone's pregnancy woes!
Janelle & Nicky:We get the food troubles here, but that's got nothing to do with Phoebe - Natty has always been a fussy eater. I have heard the same thing, that it is an excersise in control for the kids. So aparently the key is to be indifferent in your responses. If you get passionate about it then they'll know they're pushing your buttons. Also, sometimes we place too high an expectation on them - they really don't need as much to eat as we sometimes think they do. Having said that, it frustrates the crap outa me. Natty is so tiny... I WISH she would eat something other than bread, sultanas and yoghurt! LOL.
Cathy: WB! Glad Cara is doing so well - good weight! Of course you are busy, LOL! You've got loads of kids ;)
Naomi: OMG, I shouldn't be surprised @ your MIL given what you've told us in the past. But gees, I get sooooo pi$$ed when I hear about people being told to breastfeed in the toilet. You are exactly right - no one else eats in the toilet, why should babies? And wow @ Bailey having a tooth at birth - I didn't know that! Were you on calcium supplements? I'm not looking forward to Phoebs getting teeth - she is a biter already. When she's bored and/or finished she clamps down pretty hard.
I have no idea about the poo relief. Maybe ask the MCHN? So glad he was a good boy for you at your lunch! Don't you love it when they let you be sociable? LOL!

Vic: Agh! So sorry about the thrush! I hope the meds kick in quick-smart. I've heard it is soooo bloody painful. Glad you are otherwise getting better though. I agree with Naomi, if you're only expressing here and there that shouldn't affect your supply too much. And I too found it easier to get milk out first thing in the morning. I haven't tried expressing this time round - I just can't be fagged, LOL!
Jacinta: virtual *slap* girl - don't be complaining about a 7am start! Phoebe wakes between 5 and 6 usually and is really restless after that feed - we usually end up having a little nap on the lounge together with me rocking her intermittently when she starts to fuss. Then we get up around 6:30/7. Phoebe is a littlie too - still wearing some 0000s and 000 in Bonds only - the other 000s still swim on her. But Natty's a little kid too - short and skinny (gets it from her Dad, LOL!)
Krystie: LOL @ the box idea! Sounds great :) But I have to admit, I loooove watching them grow and develop - I am already excited about Phoebe's growth, the way she smiles and 'chats' to me now. She can do a single eyebrow raise as well! Hillarious. Sounds like Kyson is doing fabulously :)
Bridg: Glad the appt went well. Agh, I hate rain. It has been fine here, but cold! I'm not keen on winter.
BG: Sorry about the baby barnacle. It is so tiring. Hope all the plans are going well for Em's baptism. I'm sure it's going to be an awesome day.
We have our 6 week check on Thurs and I need to ask the inevitable poo questions. I will try it on you girls first! Phoebe doesn't poo every day. I know this is normal for BF babies, but I thought they were supposed to poo heaps more often when they're this young? Also, on Sunday (her last poo) it was semi-solid and stank (different to normal). She has been doing stinky farts since too. I'm thinking its because she has a cold and seems to be swallowing heaps of mucous...? Do you think its a problem? She seems otherwise well.
Natty's back in good health - it is such a relief! She went back to kindy on Monday (and Phoebe didn't sleep for longer than 10 minutes in her cot, the little minx! I was so keen to have a nap myself, but it wasn't to be) and today we went to playgroup (and Phoebe slept beautifully the entire time in the stroller :rolleyes:). Tomorrow DH is home so we're going to go to Lake Parramatta (just across the road) for a cino and a walk. I'm feeling good, although our nights are still pretty tiring. Phoebe won't settle for the night until around 10 (and on the one or two occasions when she's gone down at 9 or 9:30 she's still woken up at 10:30 for a feed) and then she'll usually stretch it to 4-hourly feeds. The other night she spoiled me with a 4.5 hour sleep. I'm trying not to dwell on it, as she's my last baby and she'll be 3 years old and sleeping through the night in no time at all, but I just get so tired during the day. It's hard not to think about it.
Natty is starting to initiate toilet training. Agh! I didn't want to start yet. But she keeps pulling her pants and nappy down and saying she wants to sit on the toilet. Thing is, she doesn't DO anything on the toilet, LOL! She just thinks its fun to sit on it. So I have to decide whether we'll start wearing knickers soon and get it going while she still feels excited about it. Just don't know if I am up for cleaning wee off the floor every 5 minutes...
ooh i do have a little woohoo about my "baby barnacle" (love it Amy!) - she slept for 8 hours last night - might hvae been more! we went to bed sometime around 10 and i didn't hear from her til about half 6 - not sure what time she actually crashed though...
she's being a little rat bag at the moment - whinging til we lean down to put dummy in (she's sitting in her bouncer) -and then when we do she starts talking to us around the dummy - as soon as we let go she spits it out. it's like a bit of a game for her
I'm exhausted - we are definately in Wonder Week 12 here, another feeding frenzy, I feel like Bailey has sucked every last drop of milk from me LOL! The little guy is in bed but I just heard some groaning via the monitor so I hope he is not stirring as yet as I am about to indulge in a hot milo and some rocky road :)
Jacinta/Krystie - we are in 0000 and 000 here - mostly 000 for tops and onsies as Bailey has a really long torso but shorter legs so the 0000 pants still fit. I actually bought a big plastic storage box today so I can pack clothes away as he grows out of them - sad that I already have to do this - DOH
Krystie - wow re expressing 150ml, I am jealous, I only ever get 80ml at the most, the only exception being when Mum babysat and I missed a few feeds when she bottle fed. It takes me ages to get enough for one feed. When I gave Bailey EBM via the bottle on sunday he only drank 100ml, I know he eats way more on the boob as he is growing really well (Baby nurse told me that based on his birth weight he should be about 4.4kg at 3 months, but he's well over 5kg already so he is certainly making up for his early arrival). Sounds like you are the super Mummy mate, I dont have 2 DSS to look after also!! :)
BG - Good luck for the baptism, I cant wait to hear all about it and see some piccies. E is going to lok gorgeous in her gown :) 8 hours - OMIGOD that is AWESOME - go Miss E!!!!!!!!!!!

Amy - Re the tooth, I think it was some freaky thing, the only supplements I took while pregnant were the Blackmores Pregnancy and Breastfeeding gold (which I still take). The MW and Paed said although uncommon its not unheard of for babies to have teeth at birth, but it was only a little up and has since gone back down under the gum. Initially we thought it would come up fully and need to come out as Paed said it may be loose and could be a choking hazard, but fortunately that didn't eventuate. I just found out that one of my GF is pregnant again which is wonderful, and in addition, her and I do the same job at Optus, but the team she manages works core hours so she has much more flexibility in her hours/days, anyhoo, she is leaving work in Feb and I return in March so have emailed my boss and put dibs on that role - he is likely to let me have it as we have already had a chat pre mat leave about work flexibility etc so I am hoping it all pans out that I can go back to work and manage her team rather than my old one, it just means I will be able to maximise my time with Bailey - yaaaaah!!
Righto - I better go, I bought a new electric blanket today as we bought a king size bed a while ago and our old electric blanket was too small, so need to put it on the bed, cant wait to jump in a toasty bed tonight, and I am gonna turn it on when I get up for a feed at night so the bed is nice and warm when I return - it is soooooooooooo cold at night here currently, I turn the heater on when I get up and feed Bailey (hence my outrageous electricity bill LOL)

Brilliant news about the job, Naomi! I hope your boss does give you that position... sounds like its in the bag. I haven't seen our elec bill yet, but I know its going to send us broke. I've had the heater in our loungeroom on constantly (24 hours - it's where I feed Phoebe) and we've one in N's room that's on every night and one in P's that's on every night and in the day on the rare occasions she sleeps in her cot. Its going to be ugly!
Amy- re the stinky poos, have u eaten anything different than normal? Glad to hear Natty is better. I hate seeing kids sick, and its not fair on the poor little munchkins. Thats good that Natty is getting excited about the toilet training. Sorry I dont have any advice, as Ive only TT boys.
BG- Wow! 8 hrs sleep! Another jealous one here. Hopefully Emerald keeps it up.
Naomi- Lekky blankets are the best! Our power bill will be huge too, but as long as everyone is comfy, then its ok. When Logan was constipated, we gave him some cooled boiled water with a smidgen of brown sugar in it. Apparently the sugar draws the water to the bowel, and softens things. It worked well when we did it, so maybe it will work for Bailey too.

tried to get bub immunised but the doctors had none coz their fridge stuffed up and i missed the council ones last week :doh: plus it prob wouldnt have been good coz hes got a cough hes now smiling and giggling at the ceiling and smaking the things on his playmat
he loves tv which is not so good when hes watchin dr phil and oprah every day i should really get some more dvds for him lol and hes trying to roll a lot
anyway he slept from 9 till 9 with only one feed yay!!!
Bridg: I haven't changed my diet much in the last week or so, but over the last 4-ish weeks I've been steadily increasing my fibre intake cause I've been a bit backed up (sorry for TMI) and increasing my water intake. But nothing different in the last week. She still hasn't pooed yet.
We had a good night last night. Phoebe settled without too much roaring and then had a lovely big sleep. We had a nice time at the lake this morning, although Natty had a couple of meltdowns. I'm going to leave Phoebe for the first time this afternoon (besides a couple of weeks ago when I did the groceries and left her with DH for an hour). Am going to collect some people from the airport train and there aren't enough seats for her. I hope she doesn't get hungry while I'm out because the only milk we've got is in my boobs. I'm sure she'll be happy enough - as long as someone's holding her she'll usually sleep the day away!
J- Bummer about missing the vax's. 9-9?? U lucky chick!!

Jemima is good. 1 month old today. She weighed 5,1kg today. Still fits 0000-000 I think cos she is long. She is in th 97th% on all the charts. Such a big girl! Wish I could do persies but too hard from mb phone.

Bridg: Yeah, but I thought younger babies were supposed to poo more often, then after a couple of months they slow down on the poo front? Probably you are right and I am worried about nothing. We have all been out together a few times now. It's easier taking both the girls out with DH around :)
Vic: Oh, I'm sorry to hear about the harness :( How long will she need it for? Hope the hip forum offers you some good support.
Bella: Yay for reaching the 1 month milestone! Sounds like J is doing fabulously.
My trip out this afternoon was cancelled, LOL! So no need to worry about the boobie girl.
Vic- :hug: sorry to hear that CJ has to wear a harness. Hopefully its not for too long. If u need to talk, we are all here.
Amy- All babies are different with their bowel movements. If Phoebe only has a poo once a week and is not straining, then all is ok. Logan only has a poo every few days, thankfully.
AFU, We have had half a good day. I find Logan feeds and settles really well in the mornings, and as soon as the arvo comes, he fluffs around with his bottles and is really unsettled. In the mornings he will feed every 3-4hrs, but the arvos its normally every 2-3hrs.
Sounds exactly like Cara!! She will go long periods in bed at night, just fussing and never really works up a big cry. Just waits til I feed her really. She's happy just to be in bed next to me I think...feels secure perhaps? She sleeps for short cat naps during the day. I get up with her around 8.30 and don't feel tired most days. We go to bed together around 10pmish at night hehe She gets really tired by then.:
Most nights Kyson has been sleeping rather well. He will go anywhere from 3 to 7 hours between feeds, but when he wakes up during the night he never cries. He'll lay there next to me just being fussy and moving around and just dozing until I decide it's been long enough to feed him. Occassionally he'll have an extra nap in the morning so we both get a sleep in, but in general he wants to get out of the bedroom once the sun comes up. Having said that though, it's usually after 8.30 that we get out of bed (once DH has gotten the DSS's ready for school and they head off for the day).
Vic: Sorry to hear about the harness hon. But you know it's for the best. My ex had a daughter born breech that needed her hips in a harness for awhile..she was a twin.
As for constipation...I believe breastfed babies can go days without pooing. I am sure my other 3 kids went days without pooing when they were little. It seemed strange..but they were absolutely fine.
On an annoying front..I had to get Cara's heel ***** test done AGAIN! cause the first one wasn't good enough..grr. Poor bubba had to cry again as her heel was *****ed.

Bailey will not stop feeding - yesterday he fed about 20 times - pratically every hour! I have had no sleep and am a mess - LOL
All the signs point to a growth spurt/wonder week still continuing but as it goes on I get more and more tired and tempted to go and get some formula and get DH to feed him so I can have a break. I wont though, I am hoping he goes back to normal soon before I go mad from lack of sleep

12 WEEKS!! OMG that's gone super quick! I can't believe Allira is 9 weeks already. I swear it didn't go this fast with DS.
Bridg - glad to hear your gyno appt went well. How nice it would be just to have the one for a few hours. I wish I could send DS to childcare or something, but it's just not possible out here. Ah well.
Amy - How typical of Pheobe to sleep so well at playgroup. I find this little ones like to make a liar out of their mummies... haha. I was going on and on about how calm Allira was when we met Rellos for the first time a few weeks back, and she ended up being quite cranky for about 3 hours on end (which I worked out to being due to AF arriving).
Allira is not pooing much. It stopped being every single change by 4 weeks. Now she is only pooing once a day if that... sometimes going a few days without. Just means they are using up more of the milk they are taking in and less is becoming waste. Not sure about the harder poos though? Are you drinking plenty of water? I have no other ideas about what it could be unless it's some sort of intollerence to a food you are eating that is coming through your milk?
Lachie is starting to decide he wants to TT too. I wasn't going to even contemplate starting until summer, but he's really keen to sit on the potty, so I just let him. He's done one whizz ever on the potty, and there's no way I'm pushing things. Haven't started with training pants or anything yet. Hopefully Natty picks it up straight away. That would be fantastic!
Lachie is 13kgs at 2 years old (nearly). I am nearly at the end of my tether now with this eating thing. TBH it's stressing me out more than it really should and I've got enough on my plate without the extra stress, so I'm coming at it from a different angle now. I'm giving him the meals his likes, but putting one new thing on his plate each time, and hoping that one day in the near future, that he takes one bite. Kids hey! haha
BG - 8 hours very nice! The dummy spitting thing is a tad annoying hey, but they learn eventually. I nearly cried tears of joy once DS learnt to put his own dummy back in. Haha.Not because I thought he was clever (although I did) but because I could stop having to do it 700 billion times a day! Finally. haha.
JwithJ - I haven't had Allira Vaxed yet. I didn't get the chance to get her booked in out here, and they onyl do it once a month, so I'll be heading into Bendigo to get it done. If you are ever in Bendigo, there are usually a few days each week wher they hold immunisations. I can let you know where and when if you are interested at all. I'll be hopefully getting it done next week (better late than never).
Cathy - bugger about having to go get the heel ***** test again. it's bad enough first time hey! DS had to have his done twice as the first one they took wasn't good enough, but at least they knew it then and there and did it within minutes of the first one.
Krystie - it sounds like sleep is improving there! YAY. You are doing a great job doing school runs and everything. I don't know that things would run very smoothly here if that were the case. DS stays in his PJ's most days we stay home until lunchtime, and so do I! haha.
Bella - Hi! I hope you get the net on soon. I would be frustrated, although I'm sure my house would be spotless. haha.
Hi anyone I have missed! I hope you are travelling along well!!
All things going well here. We went to MIL's yesterday to see the kids great Aunty from England and her son (their cousin), along with another great Aunty that Allira hadn't yet met and the kids great grandparents. It was fabulous. Jan from England held Allira for about 4 hours straight, she just didn't want to let her go, and Allira slept so well. She loves that human contact like most babies do. Allira was her usual contented little self. Lachie went MAD having so many people to entertain and just had a blast. Love catching up with family.
I swear Allira has hit 6kgs now. I find it so hard to carry her in her capsule... it's so heavy! Big chubba. She's sleeping really well still ( sorry to brag... 10 hours a night most nights), Feel free to slap me. I was a tiny bit concerned about her feeding routine, as she only really has 5-6 feeds in a 24 hours period but she's beefin up and has been the same since coming home. I then realised when I expressed yesterday morning, that she's a massive guts. I got 180ml out of one boob in 5 mins flat and it was still pumpable. I let her finish the boob off. I went to the dentist int he morning, so needed to have a bottle of milk ready in case she got hungry while I was gone. She did of course get hungry, and drank 200mls. Big fattie. It's so hard when you can't see what's coming out, but after seeing how much she drank yesterday I can rest easier.
Apart from DS' fussy eating, everything is going really well.
I should stop waffling. I have a Tupperware party at mum's tonight that I have to get organised for (haha I have to drive in an hour to get to mums), and also a bit more cleaning before all DH's mates rock up for the weekend. Sending DH grocery shopping tonight on his own. I also have to write up a list and I dread seeing what he ends up getting.
