Oh my goodness 2 !!!!! I am so very happy for you HPL and Milly and I'm also green with envy!!! SO every exciting! My friend from my mums group (that I don't go to anymore) told me yesterday that she is pregnant too! Bubbas all round... except for me I am getting a knee operation and won't be able to even think about starting to ttc until next year some time. I wan tot start as soon as physically possible (Feb) but dh is yet to say 'yes' it's really getting me down As you all know I wanted another baby the day ds was born and have been insane about it ever since. then with it taking 16 cycles to conceive ds I'm feeling like another baby is ages away!!! At least I can live the excitement through you 2 girls and my mums group friend!
HPL what a bummer about the teething, have you got a necklace, I think it really helps ds. Regarding the milk etc ds just has his big water drink bottle and he finishes it off every day. I just leave it on his little table and he drinks it whenever he feels like it and with meals etc. He's still breastfeeding but nowhere near as much. maybe some in the morning when he wakes up, during the night a bit and he started not having any before his day nap and doesnt' often have it at night when he goes to bed either. I had thought that he might always need it to go to sleep as I too (Milly) boobed him to sleep since birth, but he's fine.
Cas WOW pigtales already!!! Marta always had a good head of hair though. DS has light brown/blonde curly hair which I LOVE, it's a bit wild most days too which is the cutest thing. I am also thinking that when we start ttc I will get out of ds's bed, at the moment he goes to bed alone around 6pm and wakes up around 4hrs (ish) later. I would normally give him milk but he now has some water and goes back to sleep so technically I could probably just give him the water and go back to bed in our room... but I jump in with ds until the morning cause I just LOVE it! But really the most ideal thing would be to just get that couple of hours in the morning like your guys and Marta. And are you going to go for a 3rd?!?
Milly wow still can't believe that BFP!! I saw another thread of yours and thought you must be trying Sounds like you've had a rough run with sickness. I'm so thankful ds has only had one cold (a mild one at that), he's never even had green snot running out of his nose. I can't imagine how hard that is for you guys?
HPL Goodness hon I didn't realise you'd had all that health trouble. How very scary being at the hossy for an op with you bubbs Hope everythign turns out ok

: HPL
HPL: aww poor bubba! I reckon the grommets should help no end. we had a mum in the 07 baby group that i am in say that it was awesome for her kids (twins).
Cherished: when is the op? that has been painful for sooo long now . is DH a bit frightened about another baby in the house? I have to say that we were a bit frightened even after i recovered from the PND i had that we waited a bit longer (i wanted a whole year after i last felt the effects). i have to say though that having a second baby is so amazing! (not that the first isnt ITMS!) i found that the stress was really off as it isnt such a big change in life IYKWIM. and financially we found it AOK as all the big expenses of the first baby werent as full on for the second as we had alot of the stuff already...
Also i kinda get the fear of how long TTC can take. it took 23 months for DD1 and i was so so worried that it would take that long again (and face the prospect of more losses). it was much faster this last time around, it took 9 months for DD2...so much faster!!
Milly: yep, childcare is a perfect breeding ground for bugs lol! i remember DD1 spent her first year and a bit always sick! it was pretty exhausting. this time with DD2 it was full on from word go as her Big Sister would come home with illnesses...Marta was 3 weeks old when she got her first cold . have to say though that now she is a bit older she is awesome at powering through colds etc.
AFM: we are starting to really realise that come January we are moving OS to LA...had to turn down CC for the girls today and what with 12 month+ waiting list it was hard to say no lol!
marta is now walking 80% of the time it has taken her awhile to get confident but now it is finally happening! it suddenly feels as though she is much bigger lol.
HPL - how is little Audrey? how did her surgery go, that must have been quite distressing for you, but hopefully will be a great help for her.
My EDD is 22 June, so we are almost BB again!
Cherished - when is your knee op, and what do you have to have done? Is that from when you fell over a few months ago, or had you always had a bad knee?
Don't panic with your TTC for No2 - I just kept telling myself that my body would now go "ahh, so that's what I'm meant to do" and it did - it took almost 2 years for us too (and a m/c) for DD1 to arrive, but only took 5 months of serious TTC this time(we were kind of half-arsed about it before then - not so well timed and my AF not so regular), including while BF (and BF ALOT - she has only really dropped the feeds since I got the BFP and my milk almost vanished in the space of a few days). So I am sure that it will also be easier for you too the next time round.
AFU - well, DD has become really unsettled with sleeping and napping - she has been fighting me every step of the way. Last night, she cried for an hour in my arms, nothing at all would settle her, she was just so tired and worked herself up to a frenzy, and then she did the same this morning - at least it was only for half an hour though. I hope she is not coming down with something. I did notice that her bottom left back teeth have broken through, hopefully that's all it is (and hopefully not a teethinig-ear infection as well).
And me, well I had my first chuck on the weekend - here comes MS! God I hope it's not as bad as last time - I don't think I will cope with an active non-sleeping todler as well as chucking all the time!
Cheerio for now,
I will try and pop in again soon, though I really only get to "play" on the computer about once per week, so I apologize in advance if my posts are a bit slow.
xxx
ps - note to self - must update ticker - DD still only one! LOL!
My card what a roller coster ride we are on!!!! Read my post in the Story's of Loss - #2 Loss, Great!! Oh there is a story in there, I updated a little while ago. Holy heck what a confusing time..
DD1 has been soooooo clingy the last few days its been crazy! He new favourite word is no she even has the shacking of the head down pat lol - its quite cute really to see her little tamtrums hahaha....
She has basically dropped her bottles too execpt her night bot bot... shes awesome!! Question - should i be concerned that she only has 2 bottom teeth :$ i think she is cutting her top ones but its so hard to tell as she wont let me in there!! Stubborn head strong child - dont know where she got that from lol
Best be off to digest more of this horror story - night ladies
HPL I am so sorry All my thoughts will be with you tomorrow. Be kind to yourself and hold that beautiful little DD of yours tight. No need for concern about the the teeth. As you know ds only just got his 2 top teeth.
I know that you are freaking out, but i am so happy for you! SO SO happy that you were able to get a second opinion!! your baby was just needing some time to grow a bit bigger!!!

Hi Cass, Hi Cherished!!
AFM - well DD is now weaned I wasn't quite ready as in prepared for this, but my milk literally dried up overnight, and BF (well comfort sucking) became UNTOLERABLE. so I am kind of sad about it all really. oh well, I guess it was going to happen sooner or later.

: added a bit
oh Milly it is always a bit sad when it happens i reckon...but also kinda cool in the sense that your relationship with DD is changing and growing in new ways too ITMS?
Milly: oh my love I do remember Audreys last feed so fondly - it was over way too fast for me too, I envy you ladies that were able to continue this far .... But Cass ia right now enters the new stage of your bonding and growing together...
Cass: I did have a good Bridal Shower few up and down moments coz of the in laws but my friends and family made it perfect :-D ... I totally agree with what you were saying to Milly about the new bond, when Audrey stopped ; granted it was at 8 mths ( :-( ) we started bonding in a new way it was lovely to watch us grow flowers together as if she new mummy wasn't just there for boobie time and food it was more than that lol
Cherished: the teeth thing really wish I'd kept my mouth shut about that, thanks for the reassurance though about DS... Sadly she started teething again like this week hasnt been stressful enough lol welcome back sleepless nights and black eyes for work!!! Turns out her top 2!! Teeth are coming through as well az an eye tooth on the left :-( poor baby she's struggleing with it this time around... Her top left and eye tooth are almost through the right side a little lagging behind can see it i just pray it doesn't go back up...
Well as for me I AM GETTING MARRIED ON SATURDAY!!! In 3 day!!!! Oh My Gosh soooo exciting.... Pick the dress up FridH, Tan today, Mani and Pedi ekk - oh but I guess the MOST exciting thingi get to do today is see my baby again!!!! have an appt with my OB at 10am so dropped DD off at school pick my mummy up and off we go!!! Fingers crossed girls baby has grown and there's a super strong heartbeat!!!!!
Will try and get on and update here as well as PAML ....
HPL - how are you going hon?
How is Audrey doing now with her grommets?
Cassius - have you moved yet? How have you settled in? I bet packing was a nightmare! I hate moving - not the going somewhere new, the packing and moving.
Cherished - how is your knee? do you know when your surgery is?
AFM - well, all good here. DD has finally started walking, so it is now time to go back to the orthopeadic surgeon for a review for her hips (appt next month). She has been going really well, though she has had a few bumps and bruises from falling over. She is a climber - she has gone from furniture walking to walking to climbing up on the lounge and coffee table in the space of about two weeks! and she is so fast! And she has now had her first hair cut, only the most miniscule ammount though, LOL.
Hello beautiful Milly so lovely to hear from you! I'm not doing that well really. I've had the most depressing 4 months of my life I think. dh decided in October that he never wanted another baby. I am shattered and am hoping that he will change his mind by ds's 2nd birthday. I had the knee op in November and have only just started yesterday walking a bit without crutches. It's going to be a long road of recovery. I still have weight to loose which is also depressing but I plan to have lost 13kg's by September so that even in dh hasn't changed his mind I will at least be feeling good physically if not emotionally. ds is also a big climber, he's in't everything!!! We are still going great with him, he has a 1.5 - 2hr sleep every day and is in bed between 6-7pm at night although I am still co-sleeping and he still feeds a couple of times a night. Not sleeping through at all.... This has been tough as I'd love to sleep more at night time! He's still breastfeeding stacks which I love so am happy there. I'm still at home which again I love, feel so blessed to be able to be with him every day. dh is also home still 6 days out of 8 so he's being a super daddy and loving it. All in all I can't really complain, if I don't get #2 then at least I've still got a lovely family of 3...... Or at least that is what I'll keep telling myself! ds is a slow teether, he's only got 6 teeth at the front and just last week had 2 molars start to pop through up the top. Other than that I don't think I've got much to tell.
sorry for the late reply! i seem to have limited time with teh internet atm as we are relying on one computer here in LA...pressure is on to get DH another one lol.
Cherished: i am so sorry to hear that these times have been so challenging that is shattering news from your DH. very hard to process I can only hope that with time he will re think this choice... (i can only go from what happened with my DH first time around).
Milly: I hope that meetign with the ortho gives her the all clear!! sounds like she is managing well and beyond the norm! awesome stuff! (we have a climber too...found her once on the outside table doing a dance ).
AFU: well, we have been pretty good overall. BIG move to LA. it was tricky to pack so much and yet so little for a year away. my mantra was 'less is more' lol. it appears to have worked and gives me the BEST excuse to do lots of shopping hahaha. also loving the fact that i get to deck out another room for the girls hahaha.
Marta is walking, saying a couple of words...AND sleeping in a Big Girl bed without a sleeping bag....it all happened here in LA. she just decided for herself to sleep on a bed and refused to put on her bag... my baby is getting really big and TBH i wasnt quite ready! i want my baby a bit longer!!!
and *snap* milly! marta also had her first haircut. we were in beverly hills and they had a kids hairdresser. so we walked in and got the girls a cut...wished i had of asked how much first i walked out pale and shaky hahahahahaha!
ummm, what else? Marta is still a BIG booby baby. we are still managing 5-6 feeds (that i count lol) a day. it is a bit trickier over here as there are no laws protecting BF. in fact, the US hasnt ratified the 'rights of the child' from the UN at all (But that is a whole other thread lol). so in effect we can be kicked off the bus or out a cafe etc for BF. so i am trying to just minimise the public feeding which sucks.
anyway, i best be off as DH is waiting for his turn!
How are you doing Cherished - I hope your knee is now well healed.
Well, our DD2 was born 11 days ago.
So DD1 is now a big sister. Not sure about this.... She has been throwing quite a few tantrums, not taking very well to DD2. How have your toddlers all been going? is it the age or the sibling or both do you think?
Cass - how did DD1 cope with the arrival of Marta?
