Nell, was wondering about Cass myself. I just left a message on her private page as I thought maybe we had dropped off her subscribed threads list.
I don't think there are any public holidays in the 12 week term. In fact I may have to check that we don't lose Anzac Day as it will be so close to Easter. I am disappointed about not being UTD but in a way it is good as I have my last 10km run of the year on Sunday and now I don't have to worry about overheating or anything. I also got to get my hair coloured properly on the weekend which I wouldn't have done if I was pg.

Megan, are you keeping up the workouts? I found that it really becomes part of your routine after a while and now I miss it if I don't fit enough training sessions each week. I agree with Nell that there isn;'t much you can do to help Noah with his walking except hold his hands and encourage him. He is only 16 months after all, if he gets to 2 and still isn't walking then worry.

Nell, it's mainly just added sugar that I have cut out. 98% of what I am eating is just fruit & veg and meat. I'm not eating pasta, rice or bread at the moment either. I'm a bit of a carb addict and it's made a huge difference. I don't deny myself completely though. I look forward to one meal per week where I cook up a yummy pasta dish or risotto. My diet pretty much consists of cereal for brekky, fruit at morning tea, salad & some kind of protein for lunch, more fruit and then loads of veggies for dinner. I've realised how much a pick at food when I'm cooking, so I've cut that out too. 4kgs down now, but I was pretty sick last week so don't know how much of that was related to tonsilitis.

I think the day after my last post, I came down with tonsilitis again for the 2nd time in 2 months. I was in a pretty bad way and ended up at the doctors one morning at about 5am. I couldn't get my temp down, was struggling to get down any tablets. It was horrible. A few days later DH ended up with it too. It's only been since yesterday I've started to feel normal again. So, I never did get to that zumba class. touch wood I'm not sick next week and can go then.

We're off to sydney tomorrow for 4 days. Can't wait. Hope the weather is nice because I am so over the cold and wet miserable melbourne weather lately. Noah's first flight, so I hope it goes well.

Noah is still not walking. I actually don't have a walker for him. Our house is tiny, so I never bought one as we just don't have the room. I might see if I can find one of those small wooden trolley things that he can push around. That might encourage him a bit more. Lately he doesn't even want to hold hands and walk, he'll just walk holding the furniture.

Better go and finish packing... I can't believe how much stuff you take on holiday when you have a little person. lol

    Hi girls

Hope you are all well. I haven't posted anything for a while - things have been hectic with the little ones, as you all would understand

This week my beautiful little baby boy has started throwing tantrums! A couple of times a day, he'll just start screaming as loud as he can and stomps his little feet and makes tight little fists with his little hands, this lasts for about 20 seconds, then he's done. - my little baby seems to be trying out The Terrible 2's a little early!
Have any of you had this pleasure yet? It seems a little early to me, or is this normal for this age? I'm not even sure how I'm meant to react to tamtrums - they still catch me by surprise because he's always been such a delightful, happy boy!

    Hi girls,
there was a whole bunch of new posts just before the site crashed. I wonder whether the new girls will be back?

    How are you all?

iandh, you aren't alone with the tantrums. Don't believe anyone who tells you it is only 2 that is terrible, they can be terrible whenever they want to. Luckily they are cute enough of the time to make up for it. Try not to respond to his tantrums at all, especially at this age, just distract him if they start to last longer.

Megan, have you managed to stay well for a while? You hadn't had a good run. Is Noah walking yet?

How are you going Nell? Training for that half marathon yet?

I didn't manage to get UTD in time to avoid term 1 of next year, but I will be on holidays as of the easter holidays. I got a BFP today!! Still very early so don't want to officially announce it yet, but I am pretty excited.

Edward is sooo clever. He is copying things I say all the time, and jumping with both feet together. He has been sleeping pretty well, and is showing signs that he wants to use the toilet. He starts grabbing at his nappy and nods if you ask if he wants to do a wee. As yet he just sits on the toilet, pulls off bits of toilet paper and puts them in the toilet, but I don't think it will be long before he at least starts doing the occasional wee in the toilet.

Have to go drop DH at the bowls club... he has a bucks party to go to. Hope you are all well,
    Mel

Hey Mel... OMG CONGRATULATIONS!!!! that is soooo awesome! I did post before the crash and thank you for sending me a msg I must admit, I used to check here but no one seemed to be talking and then I forgot about it

Elijah is becoming a climber and works out how to use things to get higher lol. He is a KING tanty thrower when he really wants to, kicks and squeals like a pig haha. He is the sweetest though and comes and gives me big cuddles and then goes off to play more. He doesn't talk much more than ta, dada, mum but Oskar didn't either. Now I can't get him to stop! We're in the middle of trying to sell our house. Saw one today that I really like but we're not going to put an offer yet cos there's no offer on ours so it makes it hard. We need to know what we'll be getting so we know what we've got to play with. I've also started studying counselling via online through Aust College of Applied Pyshcology. I'm just doing one module which requires about an hour per day which I'm hoping is doable! This week has been hard cos Oskar got a tummy bug last weekend then Elijah got it Thursday then I had it yesterday!

Anyway, I've subscribed to this so hopefully it keeps reminding me when someone posts

    How is everyone else?

Cass is back!!! Woo. lol at forgetting about our thread. There are very few of the original ladies who post anymore. I often wonder how everyone is going.
Sounds like you have heaps going on. Are you going to stay in the same area or is it going to be a big move? We are having plans drawn up to raise and build under our house. We looked around alot but anything around wavell heights/ nundah area with 4 or more bedrooms is like $1 million. Stuff that!!
Byron didn't say much for a long time but Edward is a chatter box! He says 'dinosaur', and 'outside', and 'Byron', and makes endless animal noises etc. It just blows me away.

Anyway, I am exhausted. Nice to know you didn't forget who we were completely Goodnight all.

Oh yeah that is REALLY expensive around those areas! What about a bit further north? We're hoping to stay in the same area if we can. We were contemplating a bigger move but I really don't want to lose our doctor... sounds stupid I know... but OMG the health system is so screwed that I just don't want to be a number... he's awesome and if the kids are sick they squeeze them in, none of this crap about oh we're booked out for 3+ days like heaps of them are or "we're not taking new patients" ... that's kinda funny though cos my doctor isn't taking new patients either. Fingers crossed!!! Just need someone to put a good offer on our place so we can maybe get something like the one we saw today... oooh so nice *sighs* I'm in love lol. On 1/4 acre too.
