Sounds great Mel! You're doing well for having so much energy even though you're p/g!!! Well done!!
We're off this afternoon for Michael's family's extended christmas - I've managed to keep it a secret from the boys so they'll be so excited - all the aunty's and uncles do presents for the little ones so this is the beginning of the present collection for christmas! LOL!
Michael's working this morning so we'll have to wait unti lhe gets home...could be a good excuse to get some washing and housework done!!
Chat later!

Hey All,
Hope everyone is having a lazy Sunday, we got back from the shops before trying to get a few more things for B, a Matchbox track and super soaker, he has a kite and a keyboard already and we are going to get him loads of water toys for the lake. :) Poor baby A has nothing for Xmas! He will only be 4days old (touch wood) but money is so tight atm, with doing up his room from scratch and loads of bills DH and I are going to wait for the sales to get each other something, thats a first for us, but my mind, unsurprisingly is elsewhere! Here is what I know, I check in at 6am so that means leaving here at 5am, get booked into a bad, have a microbacterial shower then hopefully in the am (there are a 9am, 10am, and 11am c-section slots) have the bub!
I am aiming to leave hospital no later than xmas eve, I am so freakin nervous! My mum is looking after B on her own which she hasnt done since he was about 4months so I am worried about him waking up to neither of us here too. I have been so emotional lately and crying if DH has a go at me about ANYTHING!!! I am in bloody agony too, the bones of my vagina feel like they are expanding and my feet and hands are enormous! Agh!
Kris- Your new photos sound lovely, good work keeping it a secret, the boys know so much these days! Good luck getting your washing done, it's just exhausting keeping up with housework, I feel like you, up and down with energy, mostly down now though!! Thats so cute Ethan is saying "Santa"!! Beau is very excited cause Santa is bringing "his" baby!
Kel- Oh love, you sound like you need those three weeks off. And a sea change. I struggle coping with getting Beau and I ready to go out, let alone two and then going to work! Does it make that much of a financial difference those few hours you work? I mean I guess it would otherwise you wouldnt do it but what a palava you have to go through to look after other peoples kids as you say. Hope your DH is good to you over Xmas!
Mel - Good luck with your scan, how super exciting! Hope Olivia does well with her night time TT, she sounds pretty sorted. Beau has been doing really really well with the potty at home. Takes himself to it and everything - still nappies when we go out though as he wont go near a "big potty" at the shops etc. Had a few set backs last week when he weed on the bed and the couch in the same day???? WTF? A few people have said sometimes they regress though? I was willing to can it then and there cause I am way to big to be trying to clean mattresses and couch cushions blah blah blah!!! Oh and happy running!
Ok better go, the car is hot.
Dis and Kaz havnt been on here much have they? Hope they are ok and just busy like the rest of us! Ok, have to go and do the final tidy of washing baskets and tools in baby A's room!
-
Heys :)
Wow Jen, you sound so organised! (as I look around my hellish kitchen). Just losing desire to do pretty much anything here, blasted depression is trying to win me over again.
Mel - wow with night-time TT! We still are in babysteps with daytime TT!
Kris - yay on the start of Christmas for the boys, so cute :D
Us - well Pip's still biting, but now only me. He grips on and won't let go, I have a huge bruise on my hand from when I tried to "guide" him away from the cubby-houses at Bunnings, a bruise on my arm from when we were happily reading a book together (sudden bite, no reason - WTF?) and a black eye from where he headbutted me today.
keep safe all.
-
Hi ladies,
Nice to hear from everyone!
Mel, WOW night time tt, huh?? You've got yourself one clever little chikadee! Lily is dry of a day even when she sleeps, but I wouldn't even try to night time tt yet! Her nappy is usually absolutely soaking by morning time. And she still will not poo on the toilet! She brings me a nappy every time. She knows when she wants to go but just won't do it on the loo??!! Go figure!
LOL @ her being a nuidst...Lily is too. And now Liam is getting in on the act! He's learnt how to take his pants and nappy off, still can't quite master his shirt, though Lily will sometimes help him with that, lol! But I love having them nudy, it's sooo cute to see their little bellys and tubby thighs! And they have no issue getting dressed to go out anywhere.
I can't believe your pg yet! Maybe if you don't have ms yet, you're not quite as far along as you think? Maybe a week or two out? But it is a different pg, so maybe you just wont get it like with the girls. TIme will tell!
Kris, yep, feeling the need for a good break at the moment. Right now I am at home alone cause the kids fell asleep int he car so DH is down in the garage with them while they sleep. It's going to be a looong night cause they're sleeping sooo late, but oh well.....they have had a big day out at the park for DH's chrissy bbq. They had an absolute ball! So I am getting a bit of a break, but I would love to have an over night break. So a full day a night! I haven't been away from them through the night ever, except for when Liam was born and Lily went to mums, but then I was in hospital with Liam, lol! So not actually away from both of them...DH has been working alot the past few weeks again, so I'm getting tired. As great as he can be and helpful too, it's a bit sporadic and inconsistent. It's hard to make a routine because he works different times every day/week. So I can't say 'I will go to the movies every Tuesday evening and to see friends on Thursday mornings for a break', kwim? Plus the kids are sleeping not so great again. I think Lil's having nightmares or something, she cries out and talks in her sleep alot. And Liam is teething. I might get another blood test to see if I have low iron or something, I think I feel run down too often for it to be just normal tiredness. Maybe it's the depression....aaaannnnyway!!
Hope you have a great day today with the family!
Jen, ooohhhh, not long now til the arrival of bubba, how exciting for you!! I hope you're not getting nervous. I think it would be a bit nerve wracking for me knowing the day bubs would be born, with planned c/s or inductions. Hope that's not offensive or upsetting, I don't mean it like that!!
Sorry to hear you're getting sore and worrying about leaving B. I'm sure he will be ok. But I was really worried about leaving Lily for one night when I had Liam so I know what you're talking about. But remember that you will have to take it easy too! Is your DH or mum having time home with you after you get home? I hope so!
I wrapped up all of our chrissy pressies last night and OMG, we have brought them soooo much! I had a tonne of stuff on layby and just didn't realise that we had so much! I still have to get the stuff for adults, my bro's, SIL, a bit more for mum, step dad, my nan, DH.....so really we just have stuff for the kids and my mum! And just send some money to DH family cause they're interstate and it's just easier that way, lol! I am going to make some stuff for hampers too cookies and such though so that can't be done til the last minute really.
Kaz, I hope Pip has been nice to mummy today. that he's hurting you. I have no real advice or anything though, sorry. Lily yells at me alot and speaks to me disrespecfully (which we are working on!) Though I will ask is he talking well? Maybe sometimes it's frustration because he can't tell you what he wants/thinking. I think they also do it because they know we will always be here for them. We always come back for them and have love for them. Because we are their mumma's! We wouldn't do it for anyone else though would we?! But I could imagine it might be upsetting for you because it's only you he does it to. I get upset with Lily when she talks to me like a bit of poo! Then I think she does it because she knows upsets me...catch 22!
Hope you feeling ok hun and taking care of yourself
Us,....we're going ok. As I said some sleepless nights, midnight parties with Liam, nightmares or something with Lily. DH gives me sleep ins when he can manage it though. Having up and down days for me.
We went to the central coast yesterday to see my dad. It was a lovely day. The kids love to see him. Tehn our chrissy bbq today. I am a bit sunburnt in patches. I missed patches with the sunscreen, haha!! I think I will sleep well tonight, if the kids ever go to bed since they slept til 5pm this arvo! Ok gotta go and do dinner. Hope everyone is well!
-
Hi!
Jen - OMG - Good luck?? I can't remember the date you were going in!!! I'm so excited for you though!!!! I hope everything goes (has gone?) well! Can't wait to hear about your new addition!!!
Kaz - Big hugs to you...are you on medication for your depression?? You poor thing...I can't imagine how hard that must be...Keep your chin up - I hope you have an amazing christmas!!
So sorry to hear of Pip's biting...I had my first bite yesterday as well...Ethan bit me on the leg the little bugger...got a massive blood blister from it...I haven't dealt with biting so it's a new one for me...hopefully it's just a stage...
Kel - Sounds like a good idea to get a blood test just to rule out low iron etc...Bugger the kids aren't sleeping well - Dylan is up most nights 1-2 times but often I don't here him because he goes to dh! LOL!
LOL at having so many pressies! I've wrapped mine and haven't gone too crazy this year surprise surprise - although they still are spoilt little boys!!
Glad you've been having some nice chrissy gatherings!!
As for us - very excited for xmas!! We had a huge day out yesterday at my mums and then dads for dinner - the kids did really well though!!
OMG - Just got a message from Jen
"Archie James arrived at 11.30am weighing 4.5kg - he is doing great and is gorgeous and I am doing well too x"
Congratulations Jen!!!!! Woohooo!!!!! How exciting!!
-
Yay jen a massive CONGRATULATIONS!
Just a quick one from me......i have been bleeding since yesterday, like I have af. I had my scan today and they see a sac there but no yolk. Its measuring only 5w1d, so a whole week out from my dates. So it could be too early to see anything or nothing is there. I am going to the drs tomorrow to get bloods done and then again on Thursday to check my level. I havent been in any pain....just my mind worrying about it all. I am still super tired.
Oh and Olivia is doing fantastically with her night time tt. She wet the bed once after having a nightmare and also because we were at mums that day and she fell asleep in the car and didnt go to the loo before bed.
Better go, I will update you all on whats happening with me.....take care
-
Oh Mel - you poor thing!!! It sounds exactly like what I went through - crossing fingers that everything turns out ok...xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo Please keep in touch...
Glad Olivia is going well with night training....
-
Its all a bit weird Kristie....I havent felt really pregnant, the bleeding is just like af. I saw the sac, but it was so small. I just have to wait it all out. Its a crap time of year too....xmas, then we will be off camping for 9 days, so at least I will get my bloods done before that. I'll ring for the results while I am away. Then have the scan when we get back....it gives me a time frame. I think I was s@it scared of being in pain and m/cing like my girlfriend has just done. She said her m/c was like being in labour and she was only 8 weeks along. At least I am not in any pain.
-
Well, helloooo......everyone must be as busy as I have been....until today when I went on strike! I am having a super lazy at home day today. It's been nice to surf the net and play with the kids. We have been pigging out on cashews and bbq shapes. Breaky was peanut butter sandwiches and chocky milk....yep, REALLY lazy day! I am not making any effort at all, except to maybe wash the dishes so they don't end up over flowing out of the sink.
I can't believe it's christmas!! My gosh this year has absolutely flown! My babies are no longer babies! Right now I watch as Liam 'brm brm's' his cars over his garage, Lily is playing with the bell decorations off the chrissy tree and putting them on her doll figurine thingos, and chatting to them, lol! So cute. But they are getting so grown up...very bittersweet :(
And here's me clucking away, lol! This year coming will be the first year I haven't been pg or having a young baby. Maybe that's why I feel the need for another. I feel a bit lost from what I've gotten used to. Ah well! I just have to get over it!
Ok, kids are fighting must go! Hope everyone has a happy christmas....don't eat toooo much! nd I hope santa is generous to you all :D
-
Hi!!
Merry Belated Christmas!! I so hope you all had an amazing christmas!!! We certainly did -the kids loved every minute!! We're up at Bonnie Doon at the moment at the In-laws and having a great time except the kids are sooo overtired and feral!! They've been swimming and we took them to Mansfield zoo today but it was super hot! They loved seeing the lions though - we were only about 2 metres away!!
Mel - How are you feeling??? I hope campings going well!! You're so brave!!
Kel - Yeah at having a lazy day - good for you! I agree - it's scary having those moments when the kids feel so grown up - I sometimes just want to press pause!! One day we'll be saying how did they end up at school/high school - LOL! Super scary thought!!!
I understand your feelings about feeling a bit lost - I felt like that before falling p/g with Jayden!
Ok better head off to bed and get some sleep - I hope you're all well!!
Chat later!

Happy New Year All!
Have finally got online - just put some pics on Facebook for you to have a look at our new yummy boy!
Well the c/s went well, i guess, had a really young team looking after me who were amazing - still had bad reactions to the drugs, morphine, endone and one starting with "D" all made me nauseous and I fainted in the bathroom twice. Only spent two nights in hospital as I got absolutely no sleep from the drugs and ALL the newborns (who'd have thunk it? In maternity ward!) and only needed to take Nuerofen and Panadol for the pain when I got home so I have had a mighty speedy recovery considering how sore I was with Beau (but I guess I laboured for a day with him too...)
Anyway Archie is great, feeding lots - awake every 2hrs if I am lucky (day and night) but I am breastfeeding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOO freakin HOO!!!! Even breastfeed with him in the sling at the shops! So proud of myself! Have gotten DH to get up to him once or twice when I am knackered to give him a bottle but that has only been once or twice and he has put all his birthweight back on inside 5days!
Anyway, only had tears once or twice and Beau seems to have settled a bit the last few days, he was a bit weird for the first few - but his routine is so out of whack with DH being home and no playgroup, playdates etc his little world has changed - DH is amazing of course - spending heaps of time with Beau fishing and at the shops etc to give me sleep ins etc, very lucky there - as bit nervous for when he goes back to work in a week or so, thats my only fear atm!!!
Anyway how are you all? Mel has the bleeding stopped? Whats going on there?
-
Happy New Year!!
Jen - So great to hear from you! I'm so glad to hear everythings gone well and you're feeling so great!! Yeah on the bfing going so well also!!! I'm sure you'll do fine when your dh goes back to work but I can understand being nervous!!! I have been everytime my dh has gone back to work also!! LOL!
All good here!! Dh is out for the night so am hoping the boys go to sleep soon (they're in bed but mucking around little buggers!) and I'm just going to chill out and not do much of anything! Had a big day out for my nephews 13th b'day bbq so am quite buggered actually! Was nice though and the kids had a ball!!
OK- hope you're all well! Chat later!
-
Hey All, we are back from 9 nights of camping at Walkerville...right on the beach. It was great.....pity about the 5 loads of washing I had to do when we got back yesterday!
Jen- good to hear you are doing well. Your little men are devine. Am so happy for you.
Kris- how are you going? How was Bonnie doon?
Kel, Kaz and Mel- hello
Oh and I forgot to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy and safe New Year.
Am off to the drs this morning. Am still spotting and have had bad headaches/dizziness and occassional nausea. Just want to find out whats happening. Will let you know when I find out. Mentally feeling pretty good though. Have kept up my running, although havent lost any weight. chat soon x o
-
Hi!
Mel - so good to hear from you! I'm glad you had a great camping trip! Wow - how good are you keeping up your running!
Good luck at the dr's tomorrow - you poor thing - hope everythings ok!
Michael & I just had our night away at a b&b last night! Was soooo nice to get away!! We both had a massage each this morning as well!
I missed the kiddies though - we both came back feeling great though and were both much more calm with the kids!! Pity we can't do it again for at least another 12 months - LOL!!
I'm going along well -had a hospital appt yesterday and all is good - just waiting on blood test results back to check my iron and vitamin d...
Kids are well! Dylans going through a stage of hitting and being feral, as is Louis really. Ethan is just super gorgeous - always has a big smile on his face!! I think the older 2 are just a bit unsettled and super tired at the moment...hopefully with dh and I feeling a bit more relaxed and calm the boys will follow suit!
Hope your all well - chat later!
-
Hey all...just updating. Blood test showed my levels have dropped to 200 and am still bleeding, brown yucky annoying blood. When will it end? I had an u/s today and my uterus is "non pregnant"...not ****e! So I spoke with my dr this evening and he has booked me in to see the ob at Monash tomorrow at 2pm to discuss my options (curette). I just want it all to be over because then we can start trying again. I'm really keen to start trying again and most importantly falling pregnant. Its time, I can hear my body and mind.....just a few things stopping me.
Other than that, we are well. The girls are eating us out of house and home. Becca is pretty much walking on her own...when she feels like it and Olivia is getting attitude! I love them to pieces. I havent been for a run since last week and if i end up getting a d and c I wont be running for a little while after. Running seems to aggrivate the bleeding. Looking forward to getting right into it.
Hope everyone is doing well.
-
Oh Mel..I'm so sorry to hear that! You poor thing...what an awful thing to have to go through...xoxoxoxoxo I hope your appt goes ok tomorrow...
I'm glad the girls are good! Sounds like a good time to just take a break and let your body recover...you'll know when you feel ready to start up again...
Big hugs...xoxoxo
-
Hello you lovely ladies!!!!
I'm sorry I have been mia, things have been a bit busy the past few weeks!
Yesterday DH and I drove down to Canberra to see some friens and stayed overnight, we had a great time. The kids loved their house. I soooooo want a house! We will be getting one this year no matter what, one way or another! I went out with some girlfriends for lunch on Wednesday, which was lovely too. It's been so nice to actually have time to do this sort of stuff. But it's back to work on Monday :( Wishing I was still a SAHM!
Mel, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss hun. I hope it's all going ok. BIG BIG  Take it easy, huh?! A d+c is not so bad. When it's over, it kind of feels good to know it's all done and your life can get back to normal, kwim? Well that's how I felt anyway.
Yay, @ Becca walking, clever little chicken!!
Kris, I'm so jealous you got a whole night away! Gosh I can only dream that DH and I could have so much time alone together!
Lil's going through a horrible stage at the moment too. She is snatching everything Liam has and throwing mega tanties. Just whinging and whining over EVERYTHING that doesn't go the way she wants it to. She's driving me bananas! Not to mention the fact that Liam is learning her horrible habbits too
Jen, yay @ bfing more easily this time! We had more success with bfing second round too, so much so that we're still going!! Li loves his boo. And I saw your little man on fb, he is sooo gorgeous!
Ok gotta go, we got pizza for dinner tonight and it's here. Last time for a while, my new health routine starts tomorrow! I HAVE to lose this weight!!!
Hope you're all well :D
-
Hi!
Kel - Yeah on having a nice few days!! How exciting to be getting a house this year!
We had fish and chips tonight - so couldn't be bothered cooking - felt guilty though because we just got a box of aussie farmers fruit & veg delivered...lol!
Mel - how did your appt go today?
We got the boys room basically finished - looks so great! They're sleeping in the family room again tonight though as it's still a bit fumey from the paint. They have nothing but clothes in there at the moment and I've told them I'll only be putting toys back in bit by bit when they have a home and they'll only be able to get to add more if they keep it clear. I'm so completely over toys everywhere!! They've got FAR too much...
Dh is off for a bucks weekend tomorrow and is then back to work on Monday - it's a bit scary that the year is starting to gear up again - then 3 weeks later Louis starts 4yo kinder and then by end of term bubs will be due!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have my moments when I freak out a bit and then the other times I'm ok because no matter how hard I know I'll survive!!
Ok...better get some more decluttering done - I'm getting rid of soo much stuff - I feel so much lighter because of it as well! I seriously did another cull of my wardrobe and by the time I get rid of maternity stuff in a few months I'll have NO clothes! Now I'm onto my office area - I'm a hoarder of magazines and articles and recipes etc...I'm determined to get through most of it before bubs arrives (yes there is seriously that much!!!) Also was going to ebay my wedding dress, engagement dress and a few other nice things that I'll never wear again but think I'll just give them away - that's part of the problem - I keep holding on "until" I ebay etc and then I never get around to it - think I just need to pack it up to the op shop and be done with it (even though the money would be nice!)
Ok..rambling now - Chat later!!
-
Hey, just a quick one from me, I should getto bed. Appointment went ok. They wont do a d and c because there is no baby or other baby stuff in there. They said the u/s revealed a small polyp near my cervix, so basically i have to see the gyny and have it removed...which will take months on the public waiting system... so Adam and I are just trying to work out what the odds would be of another m/c if we tried sooner rather than wait till the polyp is removed. The ob said we could try and see, but couldnt say if it would end in a m/c...or make it more riskier iykwim. I just want to have my last bub and be done with it and really to be honest here, I am super clucky and its just time for me. So I could give it a shot and if I m/c'ed then at least i would kind of know why...i think...just nutting it out! Any thoughts? I dont know really! I havent told many people so its not a dinner table conversation. My mum knows and 2 girl friends. I havent told any of dhs side. Ok my eyes are hanging out of my head...chat later
-
Oh what a bugger Mel!
Gosh...I really don't think I have any good advice for you...I guess you can go on the waiting list and be ttc at the same time?? It also depends on how you cope mentally if you do miscarry again??
If you're willing to take the risk then go for it I suppose!!
A very hard situation...big hugs to you...xoxoxo
-
Yes Kris I think thats what we will do. I didnt suffer mentally as much as I though I would. Possibly because I had no attatchment and didnt feel pregnant to start with. So I would say it has been a relatively easier journey for me. I am pretty clinical when it comes to this sort of stuff due to my type of work, so a lot of it doesnt phase me. I think if we did go again and I did m/c it would be a straight out answer. Anyway I will sleep on it. I am still bleeding which the dr said might be a weird period, because after the initial bleeding from the m/c, it stopped for 4 days and then restarted. I dunno!! My body is p the putt! So really I should wait til i get that under control before I start thinking of ttc again!!! Adam doesnt want to wait....I actually thought he would be all for waiting!
Off to bed this time!!!
Night
-
Hey All,
Mel, I am sorry to read that you had a miscarriage. I am pleased you seem to be coping well with it, I think you have a different attitude when you have proven you can do it IYKWIM? Its much harder when you dont have any bubs yet, but you have two beautiful ones:D I think its great Adam wants to try straight away, at least he has a point of view and is supporting you to be positive and go for it. i agree with Kris, I would get back on the horse so to speak and just see what happens. Did they say how long the polyp had been there?
Kris - Wow at getting away with DH!!! How fantastic!! A babymoon! Good on you for doing up the boys room and going through all your stuff, they say if you make room for new things they will come to you too!! Hope you get some non-maternity clothes in return for ditching other things LOL!
Kel- Glad you ahd a nice break too, best of luck and fingers crossed for you getting a house this year too. Hope Lil has settled a bit for you the last few days.
Us- Well breastfeeding has taken a dive - I called the ABA and they said cause he has had some bottle top ups that he is prefferring the bottle to the boob already (just like Beau did) Archie is managing to BF most of the day and through the night but its just witching hour till about 9pm that I have to resort to a top up. I got upset about it the first few days he started fighting the boob and screaming and one night I was up for 4hrs trying to settle him on breastfeeding - I just feel I dont have enough in there to feed him by that time of the day when he has fed every hour before IYKWIM? But now I am resigned to the fact he might go on bottles full time (even though I really like breastfeeding). The ABA lady said its not irreversable and to try giving formula to him out of a teaspoon or soft cup but I cant see the difference, wont he just get used to that too?
Anyway, Beau is pretty good, DH goes back on Tuesday...eeks!!!!
-
Hi ladies,
Well, we are doing fine. Mostly. Liam is not sleeping well. I have been up at least three time to him each night, with him waking absolutely SCREAMING bloody murder! I'm surprised it doesn't wake Lil up, but she sleeps through it, or she might wake but doens't seem to worry. She has been grumpy waking in the mornings,so maybe her sleep is disturbed by him too....I am absolutely buggered. Naturally he starts this when I go back to work! Little *****! I'm sleeping 4-5ish hours a night, broken sleep. So is DH, but he's on holidays so it's ok for him. I'm over sleep issues, I was in tears last night with him, cause I'm sooo tired and I don't cope being this tired. Plus I've been doing extra hours at work this week, and having just been on holidays for 3 weeks, I'm tired from it just being my first week back at work too.....booohooo, poor me, LOL!
Other than the sleep thing, the kids are good. They make me laugh every day! They are so their own little people now. I am loving watching them grow into their own people. DH has said we can have another baby too, yay!!!! But not just yet. Part of the deal is for me to lose at least 15kg, 3 of which are already gone, yay! And for me to go on the pill for now, until we're ready to ttc again. Hopefully we will be able to move before I fall pg, or am really pg anyway! We are trying to wait til DH gets a posting through work, we would like to go remote. We get a house practically for free (something like 5%rent), plus other benefits. This would be for about 3-4yrs, out to the country, like Cobar, Lightening Ridge...somewhere waaayyy out west NSW. I am looking forwards to it, something different, like BIG different, lol! I need a change, and it's a great opportunity to show the kids a different life too. And really there isn't that much to keep us here either. My family doesn't do much to give me incentive to stay.
Then after our time is up (if we don't want to stay) we will move to the central coast somewhere, or maybe up further along the NSW coast, like Coffs Harbour. I want to live near the beach though. Ahhh, the beach! I'm thinking this year is going to be BIG! But it's all if's but's and maybe's at the moment......still, it's exciting!
Jen, sorry to hear of your bfing troubles hun. I hope things are going the way you want them to now. Whichever way, the most important thing is that you and Archie are happy with each other and yourselves. I remember how scary it was for me when DH went back to work. I was petrified of being at home alone with 2 babies, plus he had to do 2 night shifts as well, that was even more petrifying, being home alone with 2 babies at NIGHT!!! EEEEEKKKK....I went to mums most days for at least a little while, lol! But I managed to do it all. And once I found my Mumma mojo again, it was all good.
Mel, hun. I hope you're feeling ok today. I know how tough it can be. It really sucks. I hope your bady sorts itself out, and if you want to chat, you know where I am :)
Kris, lol @ your decluttering....or nesting!! I hope you've got what you want done! I don't know how you do it all with three boys. I tried decluttering my kitchen cupboards with my two kids and ended up with a masterpeice all over the kids bedroom sheets....lucky it was just washable texta, but I obviously left them unsupervised for a little too long, lol! They climbed up their cupboard to get the textas themselves, but couldn't reach the paper, so the cream sheets must have been the next best thing, oh as well as any bit of skin they could see on themselves! So decluttering is left for timew when bother DH and I are home, or the kids are not here! Hence the pigsty I live in....
Ok gotta go, have a shower and to bed early tonight, I need more than 4 hours sleep......
-
Hi!
Mel - How are you going???
Jen - How are you going now Dh is back at work??? I hope your managing well! Its a bit difficult with the b/fing isn't?? I always have unsettled babies and have moments of thinking I don't have enough milk but we always seem to get past it with them...is he just refusing the breast and that time of night?? Maybe he's got wind and that's why he doesn't want the b/milk? All my babies would cry and get unsettled at some point - it's funny - I never thought to give them formula to make them happier! LOL!!!! At the end of the day you need to make a choice that your happy with - if it's going to be easier to put him on the bottle then do it!! In the big picture of things it doesn't really matter at the end of the day...
Kel - Sorry to hear about the sleep issues with Liam - I hope he settles soon...although we still have Dylan up most nights 2-3 times - usually only for a minute or so but he's going to be 3 in April!! We keep wondering when he'll eventually sleep soundly...LOL! Luckily dh gets up to him most of the time!!
Wow - lots of exciting stuff might be happening - it's a fun time when you have so many choices!! Yeah at being able to have another bubs!!! Sounds like a good plan to hold off for a bit though so you know where you're at with moving etc...
As for me...we're all good! Feeling like a little old woman these days - have booked in for the chiro on Monday as I have a sore lower back...I can't believe I've only got about 10 weeks to go!!! OMG!!
The house stuff is going ok - still plodding along getting rid of bits and pieces here and there, although I'm proud to say I've kept it really tidy this week and got lots of housework done!!! I'm in quite a good routine with it all and I'm really hoping to keep it that way after Louis starts back at kinder...we will see though!!
Still have heaps to do to get Ethans room ready - dh is back and work and working weekends though so it will be little baby steps...am heading to Target tomorrow as they are having a big baby sale so hopefully will get a few nice new things for bubs!! Don't need much of course!
We still have to find a new car as well...omg...when I really start thinking about it we've got so much to get done in the next 10 weeks - hopefully bubs doesn't come early!!!!
I'm starting to freak about labour a bit though...I don't think I've had long enough in between to forget - LOL! I've made the decision if I need to be induced again (like Louis & Ethan) I will be asking for an epidural very clearly before they stick the needle in...I really don't feel that I can mentally face it again...I found it so much more intense being drip induced - it seems to take a lot higher toll on my body and I'm just don't want to deal with it...hopefully I will have a nice natural straight forward labour like I did with Dylan - it still hurt like hell but was still alot easier to deal with...Oh well - only time will tell what happens!!! I only have to do it one more time!!! Why does it have to be so horrible though??? LOL!
I'm looking forward to meeting my new little man though - I'm getting super big movements at the moment and am excited to see what another little personality will bring to the family...I think it will be chaos but I love my boys! I'm very much looking forward to our family being complete and being able to move forward as well!
Ok...thinking as I type which leads to lots of rambling - LOL! Chat later!
-
Hey all, just a quick ramble from me...falling asleep at the computer!!!
jen- hows it going now with the b/feeding and also dh back at work. My dh went back to work the day after I got home the bugger! Anyway, hope all is well.
Kel- loads of things on the horizon for you...exciting times. sorry to hear Liam isnt sleeping well.
kris- you are nesting big time. 10 weeks wow. Youre going to be one busy woman! Good luck with it all.
Kaz...hows the ttc going
Hi Mel
AFM....I have an appointment tomorrow to see the ob at Monash to see if my hcg levels have gone back down to normal. i am thinking they have as i stopped bleeding finally on Monday and am already starting to see changes in my cm:) I think I will just give it a shot! Anyway I will let you know how it all goes. I was just getting fed up with the bleeding, especially since I had nothing to show for it! Now its gone I feel much better. Other than that, the girls are good. Becca is walking, Olivia is running.... I did my first 20 minute run the other day and felt great. I still have quite a few kgs to loose, but feel toned. I am thinking about possibly a career change, or mayb just some study or something! Well, better goto bed, its taken me ages to write this and fix the typos!
-
Is it really sad that i am a tad drunk and have to come post> Hope you are all well.. i have polished off about 5 glasses of red. and i bathed the girls on top of that:) Not a load has been happening. Liv is great, bec is running. I decided in my wisdom that miss b could stop her bottles tonight...shes only on 2 a day and doesnt use them to sleep. Hope it works oh she just spewed! yuck....chat later
-
Hi!
Mel - You're a crack up! Oh, a glass of wine would go down so nice right now! LOL! I'm so proud of you for all your running - well done!! Maybe after I have bubs (and you have your next bubs) we can do a fun run together!!! I'm determined to get fit after having Jayden but am giving myself a year as I'm sure I'm not going to have all that much time with baby no.4! LOL!
Studying something sounds like fun! I've just looked into my bachelor of education as I've finally decided (and yes, I may still change my mind!) to be a primary school teacher once the kids are all at school...
We had a great weekend - went to Frankston festival yesterday which was fun. Had date night last night which was soooo nice! Dh and I chill out on computers or doing our own thing pretty much all week so I was so looking forward to a movie on the couch. Chilled out this morning and then got to go shopping on my own because I needed to buy shoes for a wedding next week...ended up out for 2 1/2 hours...LOL! It was nice to do what I wanted but it was so quiet and lonely though! I'm so used to having them with me!
Anyway...kids are good - Ethans been giving big cuddles to the older boys which is gorgeous - I"m so happy he is because it's much better than the pushing and pinching that he usually does - LOL! He's grown up so much tougher than the other 2 that's for sure...I get a bit worried about the new baby and how he'll go but he'll probably just grow up tough as well!
Ok..hope you all had a great weekend! Chat later!
P.S Mel & Kaz - we should really catch up soon!! It feels like it's been ages! Although, I'm thinking of maybe having a baby shower in a few weeks (not sure though but everyone is telling me to have one as it's the last bubba)??? Otherwise, we should organise a playdate...
-
I am up for a play date! I think I am sobbering up enough now. Yes a play date would be nice. I havent seen you and Kaz since Ethans birthday. I hope that i am fit enough to keep running throughout the next pregnancy...or at least jogging. I cant wait to look great again! As for the study, i was thinking something in fitness or nutritian. Just something to keep the brain active. I have already done 4 years of nursing/mental health so dont want to do something that big again....
-
Hi girlies,
I have been offline for a week or so because our computer had a heart attack and died! I have no idea what was wrong with it, but DH fixed it! Clever boy he is :)
Well, Liam has settled with his sleeping again, and is pretty much sleeping through the night again most nights, except for a dummy pit stop some nights! He has two new teeth and I think he's getting a couple more. That explains the behaviour the last few weeks! He will not open his mouth for me to see inside it at all and bites if a finger comes near him, so I can't see inside his mouth! Lil used to be sooo good with letting me see when she was teething. Lil's sleeping is mostly good too, though she is still waking with dreams some nights. But she will usually resettle fairly easily. So most nights (at the moment!!) we are getting decent sleep. YAAAAYY!!
Kris, I can't believe you're already thinking of running to get fit, lol!! That was the last thing on my mind when I had Liam, lol! Though that's probably obvious now, with me being so overweight, hahaha!! Oh well, I am doing something about it now! So I can have another baby and get fat again, lol! No I will really try not to this time. I know what I did wrong and how I should be able to stop it happening again (I hope!).
And studying too, OMG, you really are super woman! How do you find time in the day?? I have been thinking of going back to studying again too. NOt sure if I shoud try to apply now for this year (late application!) or just wait til next year. But if I wait I will have 3 kids by then or at least be pg,(hopefully!)...hmmmm....food for thought! I will also study primary teaching. I have wanted to for a long time, well since I left high school really, but got distracted with the early childhood side to things, did my diploma at tafe, then my early childhood teaching degree. Which I also love, but with young children of my own now, it's hard to really put my heart into it now sometimes because I'm so tired out from doing it all 24/7 where ever I go, lol! Maybe I should do some serious research into the online/distance ed courses now.....
LOL, @ being out for 2 1/2 hrs. I do that someitmes. Time just gets away from me and what should have taken 40mins, ends up being 2hrs! I did it yeaterday actually! Went to get fruit and veggies and pay a layby, and ended up bumping into a friend and having coffee, then browsed at the kids clothes in target and made a winter layby for the kids! 3 hours later........hahaha! Oh well it's been ages since I had time alone.
Mel, you go girly! You're going great guns with the running. I bet you're already looking gorgeous! I can't get back into it at the moment for some reason. I am going to try to start the program again on Wednesday. DH is working the next few days and I could start it again this morning, but he's working night shifts tonight the the next two nights, so I won't be able to go then. I think I need to do run/walk/run every day for at least a week to get back to it, so I don't flake out again, lol! I'm actually looking forwards to getting back to the exercise it really does make me feel better. I'm just sooo lazy at the moment! Food wise I'm doing ok, though not as well as I would like to. I have had a bit tto much chocolate and ice cream the past week or so to be considered healthy! But AF just arrived so I have been craving it really badly.
Talking of AF, I have been really feeling sore and sorry the past week and a half or so. I have had terrible back, neck and shoulder pain and my ankles are sore. And I have been soooo tired, like that just pg kind of tired, kwim?? I just feel so...old, lol! Not sure if it's because af has just arrived, if the sleepless nights are catching up, or it's just because I'm so unfit and overweight, but I have felt ****ty! I'm going back on the pill this cycle for a few months, so I'm hoping that might help.
Ok, this turned out much longer than I anticipated, lol. Must be the bb withdrawals, lol! Good to catch up with you all, I hope everyone is well :D
:hi: to Jen and Kaz!

Hi!
Hope you're all well!
Kel - Sorry you've been feeling so blah - hope you pick up soon! Good luck with getting back into running! Glad to hear Liams sleeping much better too at the moment - hope he keeps it up for you!
As for me...I'm going well - 9 weeks to go - OMG! Been having some horrible dreams but otherwise am going well - have had some sciatic pain but have started seeing the chiro and after only 1 visit I feel much better - I'm going to see her again tomorrow!
Kids are keeping me busy considering my cars been playing up and we haven't really gone anywhere...can't wait to get a new one! I'm taking Louis and Dylan to the circus this arvo which should be fun!
Had a wedding yesterday which was really nice but tiring being sober and in high heels for the night! Didn't get home until 12.30am...had my second cousin watching the kids who works in childcare so she did a really great job - the boys hadn't really met her before but warmed to her straight away and were fine! It probably helped that they got to stay in their own house!
I've booked them in for lessons galore when term 1 starts up - Louis is having 3 sessions of kinder, swimming and drama lesson, Dylans doing a sports class and Ethans doing gymbaroo ...it better tire them out because I'm sure it will tire me! I've written up a schedule so hopefully that will help being organised...
I just need some more ideas for snacks/lunches as I'm going to be packing them the night before so they have it all ready to eat the next day depending on where we are and what we're doing and of course Louis in kinder - need to get a bit more creative I think.
I slacked off a bit with actual housework this week but still managed to keep up with washing and it's still super tidy! Will pick up where I left off next week...normally when I fall off the wagon a bit I let it all go but I'm determined to persist with this - I've been feeling so great waking up to a tidy and organised house and haven't been stressing over anything...such a nice feeling!
"If you do what you've always done, you get what you've always got" that's the quote I've got up on my pinboard at the moment - it's sooo true! You have to make changes if you want a different outcome for yourself, no matter what area - for me at the moment it's my home/organisation...
Anyway...enough of my dribble! Chat later xoxo
-
Goodness Kris, you really are going to be busy! I've been thinking of signing Lily up for some dancing classes, she absolutely loves to dance! But I have to price them first. I have a few brochures, so I am going to call the places tomorrow. She would absolutely love it i think! Her cousin goes to one which I would like her to go to but price is a bit of an issue, so we will just have to wait and see. Mum said she'd help if we needed it and I will use it if we have to, but if there's one we can afford without her help I'd rather not rely on her for the $$, kwim?? And I would love to put them both into swimming too, though that's more money about $150each for a term I think.....ugh, I hate this budgeting crap!!!! Trying to save for a (possible) big move and (possible) new baby......lol! Not enough money to be too frivolous at the moment, but plenty to go around! I can't believe you only have 9wks to go! These past few weeks have flown!
ikwym about waking to a tidy house. These past few weeks while the computer was dying or dead, I have been sooo much more organised and I have loved it! I wake up to a tidy house and the kids like it too because I set up their toys nicely and they use them more constructively. I've also mopped twice in two weeks, and vacuumed every 2-3days! Washing basket is empty and all folded clothes have gone into drawers and cupboards. inners and lunches have been much more creative, though the kids still dont eat them, lol! But DH has liked it! And he seems to be helping more too because he's seeing me make more of an effort! So I have to keep it up. Not too much BB/FB time anymore. Maybe just a few hours a day and turn the puter off, rather than it being on all day, and me checking in every few hours or so!!
Some ideas for snacks/lunch- Lily loves sandwiches of tuna, corn, grated carrot and mayo. Simple ham and cheese or cream cheese. Carrot sticks and cucmber sticks with hummous.
Liam loves- pasta bolegnaise (he will even eat it cold!), cold baked bean jaffles, banana or blueberry mini muffins.... will think about what else I give them....
-
Hey all...
Kel- welcome back to computer land. Sometimes I wish mine would blow up as I am on it way too much. I have to seriously limit my time on it. Problem is I have it on the kitchen bench... Its amazing how much time is consumed by it all. Good to hear the kids are settling. Also good to hear that you have some goals. You'll do well on the running, it only takes the first few times to get into it!
Kris- have fun at the circus. You are one busy woman. I should enrol the girls into something but always think about the money and soon we will be getting the extension done and then we will have to worry some more. I probably shouldnt worry too much about it but I do. 9 weeks to go...so when do you want to catch up for a play date? Mondays and Thursdays are out for me once school term goes back as the girls will be in occassional care. What days suit you? Otherwise a weekend morning will be ok.
Us- we are going well. Last night we slept from 10 pm til 7am without the girls waking! Amazing. These sleeps are getting more frequent. Its lovely...I better get pregnant before I have second thoughts coz I love sleep! Girls are good. Liv is ...just herself, Becca is walking and climbing. Me....I have been running, this morning I ran 25 minutes straight. Yay, I am so very proud of myself. As for the m/c....well I have a scan on Wednesday to see if anything is left. Dh and I have been going at it like rabbits so I wonder if we might catch the egg but I wont know when I o or anything, so its all just luck if we do!
Ok going to enjoy the rest of my day....chat later
-
Hey Everyone!
Just a quick one to say hello....everything is going ok here, I think I am coping better than I thought I would on my own anyway. Not much sleep, still 1-2-3hr stretches, sometimes up for one hour and a half, but mostly half an hour. Archie is still breastfeeding mostly with only one or two bottle top ups a day which is going fine. Beau seems alright with everything, I am just trying to not sweat the small stuff with him and let him make some mess (hard for me!) and make sure we do one fun thing together a day while Archie is asleep (if he does!) like go for a swim in the lake or cook etc.
Kel - My SIL's sister and her husband just finished his stint at Lightening Ridge and have just moved to Ballina on the far north coast. Weird huh? Good luck with your decision making - very exciting!
Kris - You make my head spin with all your activities! Hope you are feeling ok and Jayden is being good to you. I had lots of crazy dreams with both boys too.
Mel - thats great you are getting so much sleep (J for jealous) - we normally get everything sorted out then go and stuff it up by having another baby LOL!:D
Ok , better go and rescue DH, mwah big kiss x
-
Hello, ladeees!
How are you all going?
Well I have had a yuck few days with DH doing 4 days of evening/night shifts in a row. He usually only does 2 and I can cope with that, but this week it was 4 and I'm going INSANE! Poor guy has had hardly any sleep either so he's going to be a grumpalump today! Plus I have a staff meeting tonight and tomorrow I work til 6pm, all day. I just want this week to be over!!!! As well as all of that the kids haven't been sleeping well and I am tired too (though what 's getting me through it is the fact that DH is working off about 14 hours sleep in 4 days! I feel so sorry for him. And here I am whining about poor me...!
Anyhow......
Mel, I have been doing well with not being online too much this past week, especially considering DH hasn't been home. I have been turning it off when I go to work, and usually leave it off til the next day. Unless I have nothing to do, which is rare! It's actually really nice not being online all night. I feel better for it. The house is clean when I get out of bed, I'm going to bed before 11.30 and I'm doing stuff I want to do, rather than just ditting on the puter and being brain dead, lol!
Going to start the c25k again today. Or at least go for a long walk. I so need to lose this weight. I have really been feeling it these past few weeks with the heat and humidity we've had in Syd. I feel terrible, lethargic, tired. And I'm so sweaty and gross! I am never sweaty unless I exercise! Ick!! And you running 25mins straight!!! WOW! You must feel pretty proud of yourslef :) Can't wait til I get there!
Jen, sounds like you guys are doing pretty well! Except for the sleeping, but hey, you have a newborn in the house!! I'm so glad that you feel like you're handling things better than expected. You have good days and bad days.
We're thinking of going up the coast once our stint in the country is done. It's one of the big reasons we want to do it. Once DH is finished with this posting we can choose anywhere in NSW to go to. Otherwise it can be a 4-5yr wait to get to stations like Gosford/Wyong etc to work. Or we might even go up to Coffs Harbour, which is also a long wait to get to otherwise! But we just have to wait and see!
Ok gotta go and start getting stuff done before work....hi to Kris, Kaz and anyone else I have missed!
-
Hey...
Jen- you sound like things are on track, thats great you are still breast feeding. Hope you get some longer stretches of sleep soon.
Kel- you sound busy. How do you cope with work and the kids and your dh being at work? Adam wants me to go back to work, change the girls into longer care...i really dont want to do it! Is your husband a police officer? Adams brother is doing his training and will eventually have to go out somewhere remote.. My SIL isnt too keen about moving, they have a 10 year old and a 7 year old.
Hi Kris, Kaz and Mel.
Well like I said, dh and I have had a chat last night about our reno and the fact that he wants me to go back to work. It would also consist of the girls moving to family day care from occassional care. I really like where they are. Also my work has shifts from 7-330 or 1pm til 930 or night shift 9pm til 730am. So if I do a morning, then I have to find care that starts around 630 and get the girls up super early, which i dont want to do because they have only just started sleeping in. Dh usually leaves somewhere between 530 and 7am. Then if I do an arvo, who knows when dh gets home from work, so i would have to find somewhere that does late...plus his copious amounts of hobbies i would have to work around...well stuff that!...Then nights....i would need someone to be there for them in the morning and while i sleep...so i cant get around it. Dh isnt too keen on weekends because its family time...AAAGGGG...i just dont want to go back!!!
Other than that....girls are good. Livs been getting loads of tummy aches as she has been eating too much fruit. I have to hide the fruit bowl (will save us some money too!) They eat so much these girls. I had an u/s yesterday to look for the polyp but the couldnt find it. Which reminds me, I have to ring my drs for the results of the speciman I took the hospital.....
Better go....
-
Mel, honestly, it sounds to me like it wouldn't really be worth you going back to work at the moment. You're ttc, what will you do when you fall pg? You will have to quit not long after you start! Then you'd have to pay more in childcare, plus you're travelling etc...would it really be that worth it? I only work the absolute minimal hours I need to at the moment, because if I worked more, the cost of travel/childcare etc would outweight the money I earn for working. We're treading a fine line at the moment, but we get enough from my wage plus family payments, that it's just worth it. But only because we don't have to use long day care or family day care.
Trying to juggle shift work with childcare and stuff is really tough. It's only that I work stable hours that we can figure it out. If I worked the normal hours I usually do I could be at work any time between 6.45am and 6pm. There are no childcare centres that open after 6pm around here, and DH isn't home til after 7 usually, so we just couldnt work out that sort of stuff anyway. So I could only work hours that are about 7.30-5.30ish to figure out the childcare dilemma. So it's another not worth it for us too. Honestly, I don't think it owuld be worth it. Not unless you're earning a pretty pay packet.
-
I see what youre saying kel...althoughthe money would be worth it if i can find the right shift to fit in with everything. Think I might start off doing one weekend shift and see how it goes. With my job I can work casual so I can stop and start whenever I please. I think what got me today is that dh tells me that theres not much money left in the business account, then 5 minutes later he is on the phone ordering some spot lights for his car which he takes out less than half a dozen times a year.... I dont get it. He wants to buy a plasma but we already have a tv. He is so happy to spend then gets worried because we are more than likely going to double our mortgage and wants me to work to help cover it. I wouldnt mind so much if he could stop spending....ggggrrr
Anyway i got my results back today from the specimen andit was fetal tissue...so doesnt look like a polyp. Just need to keep at it i guess! Not if he gets me grumpy!
-
Today I lost Olivia in th shopping centre. It was the worst ever feeling I have ever experienced. I was so very lucky that there was a group of mums and older kids from the local callesthenics club who went out and found her, while i waited anxiously at the info desk. I think it all was about 2 minutes of waiting but it felt like forever. The i couldnt stop crying when I saw her...then she cried...then I cried more. I feel so drained! I cant ever imagine what it would be like ....it was awful. Now shes driving me nuts! I love her so much
-
oh gawd Mel, I know what you mean - Pip ran away from me at Knox Myer last Sunday, I was almost at the point of getting the PA announcement "little boy lost" when I found him! Doesn't it just stop your heart - and you start thinking of "how will i tell his dad" and trying to remember what he was wearing today and stuff like that!
*hugs*

Hi girlies,
Well, we are doing ok these past few days. At the moment, Lil and Li and glued to the TV watching Poko and eating breaky. They love it (poko!). Lil was having a tanty the other day because it wasn't on tv and I couldn't magically make it appear! I am taping this episode, lol!
I had a really l o n g week last week. It just seemed to go on and on and on! I was so glad it was over on Friday after a horrible (full 9hrs) day at work! I also had a staff meeting on Thursday which was long, and on top of that, DH doing 4 night shifts in a row, and the kids not sleeping properly (lol, what's properly for my monsters??)....well it made for a loooong week!
But one good thing came out of it, DH put the kids to bed on his own on Thursday night!! For the first time in almost 18mths, I haven't had to put a kid to bed for the night! It was sooo nice to walk in and be able to just sit for a while without having to do anything for the kids! Aaahhh!
We also spent too much money on a lunch out, but it was such a nice day that I don't really care. The kids were angels, DH and I had a great chat, and the food was delish! Pity the shopping trip afterwards ruined it for me though....
Mel, I know what you mean about the money side of things and your DH not saving properly. My DH is useless too. He says 'Oh it's just for.....' whatever stupid thing it is. We had $300 'spare' money this fortnight, from me working extra hours and DH doing so many night shifts, which should have gone onto the credit card. DH convinced me to leave it in case any bills came in between now and our next pay. Which I stupidly did. I checked the bank yesterday and now we have $90. No way I will do it again! It will be going straight onto the card next fortnight. I have no idea where it all went. Good luck finding a job to suit your chidcare and stuff. I hope you can sort it out.
Eeeeekk!! @ losing Olivia. My goodness I think I would have a heart attack if I lost one of my kids. My kids are runners and I hate taking them to shopping centres. Especially on my own. I did yesterday and they both just screamed. Shopping is seriously torture for me these days. I hate taking the kids out with me. Liam hates being in the pram, and Lily hates holding hands or having her hand strap on to walk with. Dh will carry Li and lets Lil walk without her strap, which is why they hate shopping with me. I am just soooo paranoid I will lose one, it's seriously one of my biggest fears, along with one of the kids or me carrying one of them will fall down our stairs. Thank goodness there were people who knew her to help find her!
Kaz, when I lsoe DH in the shops I have a hard enough time trying to remember what he was wearing, if I lost one of the kids I think I would struggle to remember their names, let alone what they had on, lol!!
Hi to everyone else, hope you're all well!!
